Dark Horse Wines thrive on an excellent concept. They feel that great wine does not need to cost a fortune. I have had a number of great wines that do not have to be super pricey. Dark Horse Wines are premium tasting wines, but don't cost a big premium price. That's always wonderful! Dark Horse Wines has come out with some wonderful wine varieties that I am excited to introduce you to.

Dark Horse 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a very bold and rich tasting red. It is a dry red wine, but also very smooth. It is said to have hints of flavor like blackberry and coffee. It was aged in oak. This bottle is made to taste like a high priced bottle of wine. It is very impressive, but the price is only about $7.99.

Dark Horse 2011 Chardonnay

This is a great crisp wine for Spring and Summertime. It is a dry white wine. It is said to have hints of apple and peach. The wine contains Chardonnay and Voignier grapes This wine is a smooth white that is easy to drink. It is a great wine that is versatile and goes with so many different foods too. This bottle also retails for about $7.99.

Dark Horse Big Rend Blend

This wine is a really neat variety. They have taken some amazing grapes and blended them to create an amazing Red Blend. It is a dry red that goes with so many food dishes too! This unique wine contains Malbec, Syrah, Merlot, and Tempranillo. They variety of grapes in this wine come from Australia, Argentina , and California. The result is a rich red that is amazing! I have a 6 year old and she loves playing with her brother's toys. I will say that she loves playing with building toys just as much as any boy does. I think that's common. I decided that I really liked the adorable dress you see pictured above. This is a beautifully made dress. It is currently sold out, but it retailed for just $14.95. It is a very reasonable price for a gorgeous dress. I am going to suggest that if you see something you like that you don't wait. Many of the items in the Remember Nguyen line are limited in sizes. So when they are gone, the deal is gone.

Thai Kitchen and Simply Asia Review

I a love Asian inspired meals. I love cooking them at home. I will say that I often need help with seasoning when it comes to them. That is where Thai Kitchen and Simply Asia come in. They offer a wonderful selection of Asian and Thai inspired products. I have been using some of them for some time now. However, I was so excited to receive some products to try that I have not tried out yet. Have you tried any of the Thai Kitchen or Simply Asia products?

I received a bottle of the Thai Kitchen's fish sauce. This is an ingredient in a number of Thai dishes. It is a great way to add some authentic Thai flavor to things. It is a sweet and salty sauce. They even suggest using it instead of soy sauce. I also received a bottle of the Thai Kitchen's Sweet Red Chili Sauce. I love this one. It is great for dipping. It has the perfect balance of sweet and hot. I am big on hot sauce. I was really excited when I received a bottle of the Thai Kitchen's Spicy Thai Chili Sauce. This is a wonderful dipping sauce, but it is also great added to dishes. This sauce has a great amount of heat, but it's not overly hot. I really enjoyed their Red Curry Paste. This is a new product to me. It is full of flavor and heat. It is great to add to dishes too. I have always felt like my stir fry dishes were missing something. This is a great way to add a ton of flavor!

I previously said that I love making stir fry. However, it can be hard to get the seasoning right on your own. Simply Asia makes it easy to add the right punch of flavor to any stir fry dish. These are great to add to meats when you are grilling too! They have some really great seasoning blends that are Asian inspired. They are loaded with flavor and help you give your dish the perfect seasoning. These are available in Spicy Szechwan, Sweet and Sour Hibachi, Sweet and Spicy Saigon, and Sweet Ginger Garlic. I cannot pick a favorite! They are all so good. I do like the Spicy Szechwan on everything from stir fry to rice. These are all so flavor. I like that they aren't too salty either. The Light Grape Wine Review

I would like to introduce you to a new wine. This wine is unique and the idea behind it is amazing. Do you love wine, but sometimes worry about adding on extra calories from that glass you want to enjoy? I think a lot of people that are health conscious have this concern. The Light Grape has made it so you can enjoy that glass of wine and not worry about ruining your diet with that drink.

The Light Grape offers a variety of wines that are lower in calories, but taste amazing. I honestly couldn't tell that these were lighter in calories. Many products that are lower calories or lighter taste different. The Light Grape Wines taste wonderful!

How have they been able to do this? They have come up with special wine making techniques that lower the alcohol content in the wine. The result is a great tasting wine, but it has less calories. This is really neat! These wines are impressive. They will even be advertised in an upcoming Weight Watchers Magazine.

These wines come in 4 varieties. They offer a Rose, White Blend, Chardonnay, and a Red Blend. There is a variety for all kinds of wine lovers. My favorite was the White Blend, This is a light and crisp wine that is refreshing. It's perfect for the Spring and Summer months. We enjoyed all of the varieties though. It's hard to pick a favorite. The retail price on these wines is about $12. They are reasonably priced too!

Progressive sent me a great assortment of items that help me prepare quick and healthy snacks for my family.

I received a set of their dip clips. This is such a neat idea. These are little containers that easily clip onto the side of a plate. The dip clips keep the dip out of the rest of the food. These are perfect for kids that are fussy and hate when their food gets mixed together. Does anyone have a child like that? The dip clips are perfect when I serve chicken nuggets with bbq sauce or veggies with dip. This is a great way to truly keep the dip on the side!

I also have been using Progressive's Collapsable Mini Produce Keeper quite a bit. This is perfect to store cut up veggies. I love to keep cut up veggies in the fridge. This is a great snack if you already have them cut up. I love that the produce keeper keeps my little tomatoes fresh. It does this because it has a vent and reservoir. This can be used for more than veggies though. You can use it for fruit and herbs too.

Progressive's Mini Colander is the perfect size to rinse off a small portions of fruits and veggies. I love the mini colander for rinsing off berries, cherry tomatoes, olives and so much more. What would you use it for? This colander is great because it has a base that catches the drips. You can even let your kids snack directly out of it and not worry about water dripping all over.

My kids must eat at least an apple each a day. It is one of mine and their favorite fruits. They usually want the apples cut up. Most of the time they are starving and want the apple cut immediately. The Thin Apple Slicer from Progressive cuts up an apple super quickly. The best part is that this cuts the apple up nice and thin. This is the easiest apple slicer that I have ever used.

I honestly hate cutting up melon. It can be a chore. The Melon Baller and Scoop from Progressive makes cutting up melon easy. I love how easily this melon baller cuts through the melon. It makes perfect little melon balls too! The melon scoop is something I have never seen, but I love this idea. This is the perfect way to remove seeds quickly. It also will take the rind of the melon off of a slice perfectly!

Cravers Chicken Products Review

I love chicken and so do my kids. They are big on frozen chicken products. These make quick and easy lunches and dinners. When I found out about Cravers I was really excited to try the products that they offer. They offer a great selection of chicken products that you can find in the freezer section. They offer some really neat varieties that are unique and full of flavor.

I sampled a few of Cravers products. I first tried their chicken breast tenders. These were a hit with the entire family. They are a great quick meal and they are very good. I love that they are made with quality chicken. I am picky when it comes to my chicken tenders. These are breaded nicely. We tried 3 varieties of these. I picked up the original, spicy and the honey bbq. My kids favorite was the original. My husband and I loved the spicy ones. They have the perfect amount of spice. The honey bbq is also a great flavor. It is coated with sweet bbq flavor that I enjoyed. Cravers also offers these in an Italian style. These look really good too and I can't wait to try them. I plan on using these chicken tenders often for easy meals. I can even see taking these and chopping them up to put on top of a salad too. What variety would you want to sample?

The Oven Cravers are a delicious and easy meal too. I love these for weeknights when I don't have dinner planned. We are always so busy and this is a healthy option. The Oven Cravers are made with chicken breast and they are stuffed with different ingredients. I love cooking these up and then all I have to worry about is my side dish and veggie. These come in 4 great varieties too. We sampled Seasoned Swiss and Mushroom, Seasoned Pepperjack and Bacon, and the Breaded Broccoli and Cheese Chicken. They also offer a Breaded Cordon Blue variety too. My absolute favorite was the Seasoned Swiss and Mushroom. This is a variety that is not breaded. It is chicken breast that is stuffed with cheesy mushroom goodness. This variety is perfect with a side of buttered pasta. My husband loved this variety too. The Seasoned Pepperjack and Bacon is perfect if you like your food to have a little bit of spice too it. It isn't too spicy and we thought it was perfect. My daughter loved the Breaded Broccoli and Cheese Chicken Cravers. This variety is full of flavorful broccoli and cheese. The best part about these is that you can have a wholesome meal in about 45 minutes. You just pop these out of the freezer and into the over. They are reasonably priced and they come in packages of 2 per carton.

These are just some of the tasty items that Cravers Chicken offers. I can't wait to try some of their other chicken products too. I am going to try their Chicken Fries for my kids next time too! What variety of Cravers products would you want to try?

Lincoln Logs Horseshoe Hill Station from K'NEX Review and Giveaway 5/30

I loved playing with Lincoln Logs as a kid. Many of you probably have many fond memories of these too! They bring back many memories. I would play with these great wooden logs for hours. My kids are 6 and 8. It recently hit me that my little ones had never played with Lincoln Logs. I know, they have seriously been missing out!

The Horseshoe Hill Station Lincoln Logs set is just as much fun as the Lincoln Logs I used to play with. I honestly enjoyed playing with this myself too. It is truly a fun and interactive toy for your child to play with. It is a great way for your child to learn how to follow instructions and build something amazing. I also love that your child can use these to build whatever they want too. They don't necessarily have to follow the instructions. My 6 and 8 year old have sat for hours and played with this set. I have an easy time getting them to put it away too. The Horseshoe Hill Station comes in a box with a lid that can be reused for storage. That is wonderful because I don't have the pieces all over the place!

The set contains 83 pieces. These are made of real wood too! They remind me of being a kid. The set is a little fancier than the one I played with as a kid. They have added a cool cowboy, roof, window, and door to this. The instructions are simple enough that your child can do this alone or with very little help from an adult. Pulsar Powerballs from Curiosity Kits Review

My kids and I love crafts. I really like when I find great crafting kits that have everything you need in them to do the craft. It is even better when the crafts are simple and not frustrating for little ones - ok and adults too. I admit that some craft kits that are geared for kids are not always simple. Curiosity Kits offers a nice selection of craft kits that are geared towards kids. The best part is that the kits are easy to use. The instructions are simple and make complete sense. The end result is kids that are happy and have fun doing these too!

We received a Pulsar Powerballs kit from Curiosity Kits. I honestly expected the directions on this kit to be much more difficult. My kids and I made these super high bounce powerballs in less than an hour. They loved it. The kit makes these fun bright colored balls that my kids love. The instructions take you step by step on how to create these fun toys.

The first step is to take your mold and put the pulsar light in it. This is only used in the larger mold. If you use the small mold then you skip this step. The next step is you put the brightly colored crystals in the mold. You simply pour these in and tap the mold until the settle nicely. Then you submerge the mold in water. You remove it from the water and let it sit. Then you can remove your ball. It was so simple and so much fun for my kids. I really enjoyed this too!

Woodbridge Pinot Grigio Review and a Recipe

I have sampled a number of Woodbridge Wines by Robert Mondavi. I love them. They are reasonable priced wines, but they also taste great. They have been in the wine business for about 30 years. They offer a selection of wines that includes reds, whites and much more. They pretty much offer something for everyone.

I love Woodbridge's Pinot Grigio. This is a really light and crisp wine. It is great because it's smooth and it is easy to drink too. This is great paired with a variety of foods too. I personally love it with poultry or pork. It is a great wine for the Spring and Summer too because it's very light. I like it paired with fruit, cheese and bread when I am having a light meal. This wine is also great to create some fun cocktails too. How do you use wine to create your own fun drinks?

Woodbridge's Pinot Grigio is perfect to create a Blood Orange Fizz. Yum! This recipe is compliments of Krista Simmons. It is the perfect addition to any Spring and Summer party. It is a light and refreshing cocktail that is sure to please your guests. Did I mention that the best part is that it is super easy to make?

Blood Orange Pinot Grigio Fizz

Ingredients:

¾ cup (6 oz) Woodbridge Pinot Grigio

1 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice

1 oz Campari

1 oz simple syrup (basic 2 parts sugar:1 part water ratio)

ice

1 ½ oz soda water

blood orange wheels to garnish

*makes one large cocktail

Method:

Fill a large glass or Mason jar with ice, then add in all of the measured ingredients, except for the soda water. Stir the ingredients with a bar spoon. Once incorporated, finish with a splash of soda water. Garnish with wheels of freshly sliced blood orange.
