I have been collecting FM Philippines magazine since 2001. I just stopped collecting it when I had my first born child. But I have been part of the journey of our 9MM Blogzine #Hottie. Let's know more.

Sofie Garrucho

Sofie is from Iloilo City. A former model for FHM Magazine Philippines, cover girl (November 2005). She has been featured multiple times in the magazine. Sofie also became the first resident vlogger for FHM website as well as participating on their numerous live events etc. After FHM, she continued as a freelance sexy/fashion photographic model locally and in other Asian countries... Sofie also worked as Marketing/Events Manager for a number of bars/clubs locally and once in Singapore.... she currently still organizing events on special occasions and requests.

Sofie also confessed that ever since she was a kid that she's into the arts... specifically painting, sketching and other crafts. Sofie also love to cook, and she's confident and very good at it.

"As of the moment I'm planning on going back in to writing. (used to be a short story writer/editor while in school) Also I want to learn new languages... maybe Spanish, French, Korean or JAV? oops I meant Japanese. hahaha! Lastly... I've decided to go back into modelling... want to try out new adventures. So that later on I can say to myself... I've done it all."

"Hmmmm.... well to grab all the good opportunities that come my way. I've had quite a few that I passed on and will forever be the "what ifs" of my life."

"Forever Jennifer Lopez... with a hint of Dua Lipa."

"Does this still matter these days? Well to answer, mine is 35, 28, 37-ish I think."

What's your favorite poison / alcohol?

"Alcohol.... I'm cool with most alcoholic drinks... but my favorites are Brandy & Scotch. Poison.... hahaha! I was gonna say (bleep). But nevermind hehe."

What's the craziest thing you did while drunk?

"Craziest? Quite difficult to single out just 1 without it being shared with too much information... haha! Well maybe I'll just give the highest number of crazy instances when I'm intoxicated.... I'm already a bit of an exhibitionist sober... so that gets elevated to game level EXPERT when I've had quite a few. hahaha! Whatever you're imagining right now, yes that."

"Hmmmm.... Sexy for me... if I'm going to define the word... SEXY is any quality of an individual (physical or not)... that has the effect of other people having impure thoughts towards you."

What part of your body do you think is the sexiest?

"Sexiest... to me it's my brain... to the guys they say it's my eyes, but I know they really meant to say my ASS."

In your opinion, what do men do wrong when having sex?

"Too many to enumerate... so I'll just mention the top most of the WRONG on my list... It's guys having a single/selfish goal during sex... is to make themselves come, and very little else."

9MM Movie Series Tribute

Movie Franchises

Movies has been entertaining us for many years. And if a movie have a cliffhanger or gets to hit the blockbuster mark, then we will expect a follow up movie or movies. With this we will feature the greatest movie series that I have watched so far.

I already made an article about The Matrix Trilogy, before I watched the fourth part. In this list, however, I would not include the older movies since I haven't watched it and I don't have plans to watch it either. Anyway let's start with the list...

Superman

Directed by Richard Donner and produced by Ilya Salkind, Alexander Salkind and Pierre Spengler did the first two Superman movies starring Christopher Reeves. Then for the third and fourth Superman movies, it was directed by Richard Lester. Warner Bros. acquired the rights and did Superman Returns starring Brandon Routh before having The Man Of Steel starring Henry Cavill and directed by Zack Snyder.

Batman

Just like Superman, Batman had several changes as the movie series were shown in theaters. The first two, Batman and Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton and directed by Tim Burton. Batman Forever followed starring Val Kilmer and directed by Joel Schumacher and the series ended with Batman & Robin starring George Clooney. It was rebooted by director Christopher Nolan with Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises which Christian Bale for the starring role.

Harry Potter

The life of Harry Potter and his quest to finally defeat Voldemort. Four directors worked on the series namely, Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron, Mike Newell and David Yates. But the leading actors stayed in the eight part movie series, David Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

Star Wars

Episodes IV, V and VI were first made before the other sequels. It was done by several directors like George Lucas, Irvin Kershner and Richard Marquand starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. The prequel was done after 22 years and directed by George Lucas starring Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman. After Disney acquired it, the sequels were made directed by JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and John Boyega. This series was also called The Skywalker Saga.

Lord Of The Rings

Directed by Peter Jackson and stars Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom among others. The trilogy were titled The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. An epic fantasy film about the quest to destroy the One Ring to finally defeat the Dark Lord Sauron and his army.

X-Men (FOX)

FOX did several movies about the Marvel mutants starting off with X-Men, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand which was directed by Bryan Singer and Brett Ratner starring Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart. Then the prequels followed X-Men: First Class, X:Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and The Dark Phoenix directed by Matthew Vaughn, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg and stars Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Hugh Jackman. The movies evolved on the survival of mutants against different forces who wants the mutant kind eliminated.

The Wolverine Trilogy

The spinoff movies that was centered around Logan / Wolverine. It started with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine and Logan which was directed by Gavin Hood and James Mangold. It starred Hugh Jackman who acted the same character for 24 years including Deadpool and Wolverine. The movies centered around the origins, adventures up to the death of Logan or The Wolverine.

Rush Hour

Starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan and directed by Brett Ratner. All three films revolved in the adventures and misadventures of two police, Lee and Carter, involving corrupt criminals in Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

Lethal Weapon

An American buddy cop action comedy movie series franchise created by Shane Black and directed by Richard Donner. All four movies were starred by Mel Gibson (Martin Riggs), Danny Glover (Roger Martaugh) Joe Pesci (Leo Getz) and Rene Russo (Lorna Cole). It focused on the crime fighting detectives of the LAPD involving Triads, gun smuggling, money laundering and other organized crimes.

I only listed movie series outside Marvel. I will have a separate article on those. Meanwhile, enjoy this suggestion list whenever you want to have a movie marathon on weekends or holidays.

In Memoriam Local 2024

There is an end to every beginning. But it really doesn't end... its just another journey to take. Every year, I do this to commemorate those who passed on to the other side.

These are the Filipino people that needs to be remembered by this blog since they touched the life of Stone-Cold Angel in one way or another.

Jaclyn Jose (1963 - 2024)

A Filipino actor and director. I always remember as a character or supporting actor in several TV shows and movies. The latest as Big Boy Carnate in the Praybeyt Benjamin movie.

Lily Monteverde (1938 - 2024)

She is the producer and owner of Regal Films Productions responsible for the rise of our 9MM Girls like Dina Bonnevie, Ara Mina and Angel Locsin among others. I remember that they were the only film production that premiered a movie on a weekly basis back in the 80s.

Helen Vela (1946 - 1992)

A radio / TV personality as well as an actress. She was well known as hosting the TV show Lovingly Yours, Helen. I remember watching her during my childhood days every Sunday afternoon before taking my nap.

An actress, singer and model. I remember her as the protagonist of the TV show Anna Liza and the film that I'm still traumatized by Lovingly Yours, Helen The Movie where she acted as a demon possessed victim.

This meant that when someone did want to get close to me, I wouldn't really give back to them. So, then they would feel the same way I had felt before. It took me awhile to realize this though, and I'm in the process of re-teaching myself on how to be a friend. And everyday I feel really grateful for those people who have put up with me and have made me feel like I'm a friend to them or something and have been patient with me."

Remembering People

I always do this every year of honoring people who have touched our lives in one way or another. I have done it individually and by groups so that I can still look back to their works and lives as days pass by.

For this article we list down my favorite people who have gone to the other side this 2024. Sadly, they passed away but their memories and legacies remains in us.

Kris Kristofferson (1936 - 2024)

An American singer, songwriter and actor. I remember him when he played as Abraham Whistler in the Blade movie series.

Maggie Smith (1934 - 2024)

She is a British comedic and dramatic actress. I knew her as Wendy Darling in the movie Hook and as Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movie series.

James Earl Jones (1931 - 2024)

As an American actor, he pioneered the black actors in the entertainment industry. I recall him as the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars episodes IV, V and VI movies.

Bernard Hill (1944 - 2024)

A British actor whose career spanned for over fifty years in both television and film. I remember him as Captain Edward J. Smith in the movie Titanic and as The Lord Of The Rings Two Towers and Return Of The King movies as King Theoden.

Jerry West (1938 - 2024)

An American professional basketball player and executive. I knew him as one of the greatest NBA player of all time. His silhouette was the inspiration of the NBA logo.

Bill Walton (1952 - 2024)

Also an American professional basketball player and TV sportscaster. I recall him as one of the best all-around players in basketball history.

Dikembe Mutombo (1966 - 2024)

A Congolese-American professional basketball player. I knew him as "Mount Mutombo" for his defensive prowess and because he is one of the greatest shot-blockers of all time. The wagging of his point finger whenever he blocks a shot is so iconic at that time.

Sid "Sycho Sid" Eudy (1960 - 2024)

An American professional wrestler know as "Sid Justice", "Sid Vicious" and "Sycho Sid". I remember him as one of the antagonist in WWE against The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels among others.

Gena Rowlands (1930 - 2024)

An American actress whose career spanned nearly seven decades in film, stage and television. I remember her as the old Allie in the movie The Notebook.

Shannen Doherty (1971 - 2024)

She's an American actress who starred in several films and TV shows. She's one of my TV crushes way back as she played the role of Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills 90210 TV series. I also remembered her as Rene Mosier in the movie Mallrats and Prue Halliwell in the Charmed TV series.

Death comes to all of us. The important thing is what we do while we are living because it will leave something to those who are living. Rest in paradise to all our departed ones.

This American singer-songwriter and actress is also a Filipina. She's responsible for the hit songs like "Herself", "Vampire" and "Drivers License".

Red Hot Chili Peppers

This American rock band is composed of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante, was formed in 1982. My favorite songs from the band are "Under The Bridge", "Give It Away", "Californication" and "Otherside" among others.

Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit is an American Nu Metal band composed of Fred Durst, John Otto, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers and DJ Lethal. They are responsible for the songs like "Take A Look Around", "Break Stuff" and "Rollin'" among others.

Rage Against The Machine

This American rock band is composed of Zack de la Rocha, Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk. My favorite songs of them are "Bulls On Parade", "Renegades Of Funk", "People Of The Sun" and "Guerilla Radio" among others.

Skid Row

This American band was originally composed of Sebastian Bach, Rachel Bolan, Dave Sabo, Scotti Hill and Rob Hammersmith. They were responsible for the hit songs like "18 and Life", "Wasted Time", and "I Remember You".

Poison

They are an American glam rock band formed in 1983 and originally composed of Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall and C.C. De Ville. Among my favorite songs from them are "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "Unskinny Bop" and "Until You Suffer Some (Fire and Ice)".

Eminem

Marshall Mathers is one of my favorite rappers of all time. Almost of all of hits are my favorite like "The Real Slim Shady", "Without Me", "Stan" and "Love The Way You Lie". Great artist and he is also one of the GOATs for me when it comes to rap!

Phenomenal P-Pop Group

I have always loved to listen and watch girl bands. My first exposure with girl bands were TLC and Salt N' Pepa. My likeness then evolved to the Spice Girls, Destiny's Child and Pussycat Dolls. Then K-Pop came with my favorites like the Wonder Girls, 2NE1, Momoland and BlackPink.

But since we need to support our own Filipino music, I discovered the P-pop group BINI. With their hit singles Salamin and Pantropiko, I was hooked with their music, energy, youngness and prettiness.

With this, I am gonna list them down according to my likeness to their personalities and attitude off camera. All ages are as of writing.

Bini Stacey (Lindtsey Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja), 21 from Nueva Vizcaya.
