As most of you will have noticed, all the Multiupload links on the site have been either deleted or are inaccessible after the closure of Megupload and other file sharing sites. I have been using Mediafire recently for new uploads and I have also been working through some older posts too.

However there are just too many posts to try and re-upload for one person and to be honest I have begun to lose the passion for bootlegs. I have also received some pretty poor and selfish emails re-guarding dead links wanting things re-uploaded. Not all bad but enough to piss me off! There are over 300 posts on this site, I wouldn't even care to guess how many 100gb of media I have uploaded, along with some very kind people I may add, in the past 3-4 years.

I have a life away from the internet, I have a job and friends and family so I do not have time to dedicate all my spare time to this site just for other people's benefit. I started this place for my enjoyment, to give something back and share my own Oasis collection.

As of today I am taking a break and I would like to thank Schorman, Howdo, Mimmi, Idledreamer, Thereisalight, Stirling, Bluemagpie, Bubbledude and the two Scott's amongst other good souls for there help and support of this blog since I started it. There maybe the odd post in the future, new promos and maybe some other bits and pieces too. So although I am taking a break it is not 100% the end. I'll still be around on Live4ever.us and for live downloads I suggest signing up to the forum or visiting SadSong.net.

One track promo CD issued in the build up to the 1995 Brit Awards. Back then Oasis were nominated for four awards - Best British Group, Best Album, Best Newcomer and Best Single for Live Forever. This promo has been bootlegged so you must be careful if chance comes up that you can buy it for yourself. According to EIL.com the real promo has "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY" on the back of the CD spine. Luckily mine has that so it is going back into storage for safe keeping as of right now.

Thanks to Stirling who once again has been good enough to share another song from his vinyl collection. This time he has ripped the extremely rare 12" promo for the first, and only digital download only single, Lord Don't Slow Me Down. The song was recorded during the Don't Believe The Truth sessions and first heard over the closing credits of the 2005/06 tour documentary of the same name. It then showed up on the bonus disc of the Dig Out Your Soul boxset, albeit a different mix.

There is also a version with Liam on vocals which was leaked online back in 2008. Listen to that version above, with a little bit of The Chemical Brothers remix of Falling Down fading out the song at the end on Soundcloud as the single version is copyrighted and for some reason the YouTube video has been removed from the official Oasis page.

Thanks to JT for very kindly sharing and sending this into the site. This is the second collection of Piano covers of Oasis tracks. I had Volume 1 on the old blog but unfortunately that was lost as well as my copy when the old laptop died.... a lesson for you kids out there, always back your tunes up! Anyway a few years ago "The Music Bod" started to upload piano covers of Oasis and The Stone Roses on YouTube a few years ago, you can view them here. They were pretty haunting and gave a very different take on the songs. Well worth a download.

Thanks to Stirling who answered my request for a lossless vinyl rip of the extremely limited 12" white label pressing of "The UNKLE Remixes" single. He has also ripped various other Oasis vinyl records previously and has been kind enough to send them onto me. Now both AKA... What a Life! and Let The Lord Shine a Light On Me have been reworked into over 8 minute epics. AKA What a Life! has been re-imagined as a darker, moodier and bass driven track, in my opinion a fantastic remix and so is the reworking of Let The Lord Shine a Light On Me. If you are not into the vinyl rips then you can download FLAC and mp3 versions of the promo CD-R which also has a radio edit of AKA... What a Life! and instrumental versions of both tracks here.

It is no surprise to find Oasis covering The Beatles, they have recorded a couple and performed many more so when they were approached by the BBC to cover a song for the 40th anniversary of the classic Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. What was surprising was the choice of song, most people would have thought A Day In The Life but Liam choose Within You, Without You. The song was recorded in the style of the LOVE album version with band performing Tomorrow Never Knows as the backing track and Liam singing Within You, Without You over it. The Noel Gallagher remix of Mike D's (Beastie Boys) collaboration with James Lavelle and DJ Shadow's first incarnation of UNKLE. It was released as a B-Side on both the UK Single and Japanese EP of Be There.

James Lavelle would return to working with Noel Gallagher a number of years later producing "Weight of The World" and re-working "Cast No Shadow" for the GOAL! movie soundtrack and also remixing two High Flying BIrds tracks "AKA... What a Life!" and "Let The Lord Shine a Light On Me".

This song served as the inspiration for Fuckin' In The Bushes and was remixed around the time Noel was demoing the forthcoming Oasis album Standing On The Shoulders of Giants also at his Supernova Heights home studio. Great tune and it would also be cool if there was an instrumental version out there too.

The Japanese edition of Beady Eye's album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, came with two bonus tracks, those being the World of Twist cover Sons Of the Stage and the laid back acoustic World Outside My Room. Both were vinyl B-Sides to Bring the Light and Four Letter Word respectively, while Sons Of The Stage was also given an iTunes single release before Different Gear, Still Speeding came out. The only other place to get these tracks on CD was a free promo given away with the News Of The World so I see no problem with these being uploaded. I am hoping the new album will be a mix of both these songs, more rockier tracks with one or two mellow acoustic numbers. Get on the new Soundcloud widget!

The US release of High Flying Birds came in a Deluxe edition with two bonus tracks in The Good Rebel, which was a B-Side to the UK single The Death of You and Me and Let The Lord Shine a Light On Me which was available on the AKA... Usually I don't post officially released material however I am going to be make an exception in a couple of this months posts. The Japanese release of High Flying Birds came with two bonus tracks in The Good Rebel, which was a B-Side to the UK single The Death of You and Me and then there is A Simple Game of Genius which is a monster of a track and which really should have been the album closer after Stop the Clocks in my opinion. Thanks to Scott for sending me the tracks.

This a strange situation with this song. Originally it was available to buy on the Amazon UK store before the High Flying Birds album went on sale. It was advertised for at least a week and then went on sale for a couple of days before being pulled. It then showed up as an exclusive track for the album on the German Amazon store. Nothing has been said to Noel in any interviews so no one is any the wiser. It is a dark laid back tune and should have been on the album for me. The fantastic artwork was made by Bluemagpie.

This cover of The Beatles classic was recorded in RAK Studios, where début album Different Gear, Still Speeding was also laid down, in London on the 2nd of April 2011 for the Red Cross Japanese Tsunami Fund. It was performed for the first time the next night and also at the bands Japanese gigs in September 2011. The song was only available through the Beady Eye website and all money raised was donated the appeal. As it is now no longer available to buy I don't have an issue with posting the track but I am also adding a link to the Red Cross website where hopefully you may wish to make a donation to a very good cause here.

As I am sure most of you know Megaupload has been shut down and there are rumours that more file sharing sites could be taken down too so there will be some dead links throughout older posts, some which are from the first incarnation of the blog, RKID001 and are up to 3 years old.

I will be using Mediafire and or Rapidshare in the coming weeks until Multiupload and or Uploadmirrors start working properly again for me.

Now here is the important bit. I will try to re-upload some of the past posts that now have dead links but remember I run this place when I have some spare time to kill and it does not consume my life so please understand I may not get around to sorting them all. Cheers!

This is an extremely rare promo CD which was once again sent to me by Scott. This site really has benefited from his generosity so many times over the years. Now the reason this is a real rarity is that is seems to be the only known CD with the "I'm Outta Time Demo" included on it, previously it was only a digital download. Sent out by Reprise Records in the US, this could be one of the promos sent to iTunes for them to upload the EP as this was an exclusive to their store at the time. There may even be a similar promo for Falling Down which also included the demo version which has not been released on any CD either. There are pictures of both the CD and tracklisting cover included in the download.

Thanks to Stirling who ripped and sent me the I'm Outta Time Remixes vinyl single which was part of a two vinyl single release, this being the second. Included are high quality rips of the Twiggy and Dave Sardy remix of I'm Outta Time, which I personally think is the best version and should have been included on Dig Out Your Soul. the B-Side is Jagz Kooner's remix of The Shock Of The Lightning. A tour best collated by Idledreamer on Live4ever.us. This is a collection of all the best quality and performances of the songs Beady Eye played on their first world tour in 2011. You may not agree with his choices but they are all very good choices and Len has taken the time to mix and master all songs so they have the feel of one complete gig with songs and audience cheering all flowing into one another. Highlights for me are Four Letter Word, Wigwam and Sons Of the Stage, all immense versions! A big thank you goes to Idledreamer for taking the time to mix and upload this great download. Ripped from the BBC iPlayer stream of The Steve Wright Show on the 5th January 2012. This is the "Clean" version of Dream On, the rumoured forth single from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds début album of the same name. I have faded in the start and also faded out the end of the song due to the DJ speaking at the start and also over the last 5-10 seconds. The swearing, has been replaced with a different vocal track and not just edited or bleeped like most radio versions. Hopefully a proper promo CD rip or better audio stream makes an appearance in the near future. I just knocked the artwork up myself.

**EDIT** I came across a longer near DJ free version on the XFM website and have edited the album intro and outro into the song giving us a proper "Clean Mix". Download that and the original BBC iPlayer version above.

I'm still hoping that one day there will be an instrumental of Turn Up The Sun and after so many rarities showed up in such a small space of time at the end of year you just never know.

Thanks to Scott once more for sending me this promo. He has isolated Noels vocal track from both of the UNKLE produced Goal! soundtrack songs and has also provided a lossless version of the extremely rare promo CD which you can download here. It has the instrumental versions of both songs. The thing which is most surprising about this CD is that it has taken so long for it to surface, over 6 years in fact! Usually we Oasis fans don't miss a trick! Anyway for me these vocal tracks show that the quality of Noel's voice and singing style, starting from 2005, has gotten so much better than previously up to the Heathen Chemistry era. Anyway these tracks could be of use to someone for people that are into remixing songs perhaps.
