Young at Heart You Old Goat

I created this birthday card using the now retired ‘Young at Heart’ stamp set and the current Way to Goat’ stamp set.

I love using multiple sets to create a card that makes a statement and I think this card makes a big statement. LOL

This card was made for a very special friend and she just loved it. The ladies on the front are actually mounted on a wobble which will make them look like they are dancing when you flick them with your finger.

But the big surprise is when you open the card

There is a little pop up box that has one of the ladies holding the big birthday cake

You will notice that this picture shows the back side of the lady. I bet you are wondering how I did that, right.

Oh So Succulent Arrangement

This is my first time using the Succulent Framelits Die set. I made these succulents using only 7 of the dies from the set as well as a few dies from the Circles Collections Framelits (retired), Flower Fair Framelits dies, Layering Ovals Framelits dies and the Leaflets Framelits dies.

I also found a palm tree die in my crafting stash of stuff and it fit perfect on this card. In addition, I found some small sea shells and starfish to add to this card.

Let's Play Catch-Up

Well, I must be the worst Blogger ever because I have huge blocks of time between posts.
It's not that I haven't created anything, it's just that I don't take the time to post. So for that, I am sorry and all I can say is that I'll try to do better. OK so now that that's out of the way, let's get on with the real post.

Today is 2//13/17 and I have been busy with creating Valentine's Day cards, birthday cards, and a treat box and more. Although I have posted of these on Facebook, I would like to post them here for all of my followers to see what I've been up to. So lets get started.

I used the Sealed with Love stamp set, Sending Love DSP, Sending Love embellishments and Ribbon on Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.

I used the Sealed with Love stamp set, Lace Doilies Sending Love Red Ribbon and Love Notes Framelites, but darn if I didn't forget the name of that DSP but I think it might be retired DSP. I Real Red and Blushig Bride card stock.

So here is a birthday card using the Beautiful You stamp set and the Paper Piecing technique. I used some retired Neutrals DSP Patterned paper and created this easel card

My Last 2016 Christmas Project

This is what I call a 'Winter Village' and I created it using all Stampin' Up products except for the Styrofoam, fence and lights. Oh yes, and the snow and glitter.

I made this for my neighbor and gave it to her on December 24th after working on it for about a week.
Although this was not difficult to make, it took some time to make it because of all the details.
I did the Mirror Image stamping for some of the images because you can view this with a 360 degree angle.
I hope you enjoy this as much as my good friend and neighbor did.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yes, this was not my original idea. I found this on Pintrest posted by a gal from the UK I believe. So I could not understand what she was saying in her video nor could I read the directions on her blog. So I just went by the seat of my pants (and the pictures on her blog) and did my best to create a Winter scene. I just wish I had more forest animals to go with this.

Sorry for the delay in posting this, I guess it just slipped my mind.

4-Panel Zig Zag Christmas Card

I made this 4-panel zig zag card using Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Lane DSP, Santa's Sleigh stamp set and coordinating Dies and the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set.

This is the first time I've made a 4-Panel Zig Zag card. I really had a lot of fun creating this card, I hope you like it.
This is something I did to this card that I created on my own I didn't want to put a ribbon or belly band on it because it would cross the front of the cad and I didn't want to have any distractions from the design. So I created a hidden pocket belly band. The band is adhere to the back of the front panel then goes around the back of the card to the front. It then gets tucked into a hidden pocket behind the front panel.

This is the front of the card. You can see part of the custom belly band on the right side of the card, this is what helps keep the card in a closed position

This is the top view, you can see the zig zag panels.

Here is what the card looks like when it it completely open. However, you cannot see the custom belly band when the card is opened.

Recently the Stampin' Up! Home office put out a callenge to create a card or other paper project using the items listed here which was also given to the agents in the office to create something.

We also used leftovers from past Innovation Days (e.g. Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes, Real Red Cardstock, etc.).

So here so what I created using this list.
Card # - Diagonal Gate Fold card

This is a Diagonal Gate fold card. I believe this card is usually made going the other way (towards the right) but I guess I don't follow directions very well.
Anyway, I made this with Blushing Bride card stock and Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper (item 140550) and a little bit of Basic Black card stock. I also used the Festive Flower Punch (item 139682) and added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details (item 127845) to the tips. I used the Reason for the Season stamp set and added two Metal Rimmed Pearls (item 138394) on it.

Here is what the inside looks like when the card is opened.

Card #2 - Religious Christmas card

For this card I used Blushing Bride card stock and Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper (item 140550) I added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details (item 127845) to the sky. I used the Reason for the Season and Joyful Nativity stamp sets. I inked up the images in Memento Jet Black and then stamps with VersaMark, then I added clear embossing powder and heat set it to give it a glossy look. I then fussy cut out the images and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Card #3 - Twisted Pop-Out Panel card

I just love making this card because it has such a WOW factor to it. I started off with Melon Mambo card stock, layered with Basic Black card stock and then layered that with the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper (item 141648). I also created a shaker window behind the tree. In the shaker I added Silver Stampin’ Glitter (item 133756) and Metallic Sequin Assortment (item 138390) and got a snow effect I wasn't expecting.

This is the inside of the card. This is the WOW factor because when you open it, you have these four panels pop-out at you. I used the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and Framelits. I also used Peaceful Pine stamp set and Perfect Pines Framelits. I really like the reindeer in black. I stamped them in VersaMark and then then added the Silver Stampin’ Glitter (item 133756) to give them a more dynamic look.

Well, as usual I went a little bit overboard with making these cards. I knew I could have just made one card, but because I was having so much fun with this challenge I made tree cards. Remembereing 15 Years Later - Double 'Z' Fold Card

I made this card on 9/`11/16 but forgot to post it (sorry).

However, it was a difficult card to make because all the while I was thinking about that horrible day and I remember the moment I heard the news. I was home from work because I wasn't feeling well. I turned on the TV around 9am PST and the events of the day was all over the news on every channel. I thought it was some kind of movie being made. I called my mom and we cried, then I called my husband (who was at work) and he didn't answer because he wasn't at his desk, he was in the break room watching the news along with everyone else. I had to leave voice mail because I believe this was before the days of mobile phone.
When he called me back, I just cried and cried while he tried to assure me that everything would be OK. Little did we know that everything would not be OK ever again.
But I do have to say that along with almost everyone in the USA, that day changed me and the way I do things and think. However, because I have a BIGGER GOD than any terrorist, I know that we will be OK in the end.
I did not make this card to give away but instead to keep on my desk so that I will never forgot those who lost their lives that day and those who loose a little bit of themselves every year on 9/11

I loved making this card because it looks very much like what I see at night when I walk out of my cabin.

The card on the left was made using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the one on the right was made using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set. This stamp set was a limited time stamp set offered by Stampin' Up! for the month of September 2016. I hope you were able to get your hands on this beautiful set and Thinlits bundle. If not, maybe you can find someone selling theirs.

Hi there Bloggers,

I know it's been a while, but it just seems that life goes by like the speed of light and I just cannot keep up.
Anyway, I have been pretty busy with making cards from the new 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and I would like to share a for of my projects here with you.
I know I don't have a lot of followers because I don't post consistently, but I do what I can. I just hope I don't loose anyone that is currently following me and hopefully I'll get some new followers with these new cards.

This is a card I made for a Toile Card Challenge. I didn't know what Toile was until I looked it up and found a few videos on it. But it's basically stamping an image several times and cutting out parts of the images and layering them on top of each other to create a kind of 3-D image.

So as you can see from the top view, there are about four layers of this little mouse.

It's that time again: we're getting ready to retire stamps and accessories from both the ANNUAL and OCCASIONS catalogs. As sad as it is to see these products go, there's still time for you to get them before they're gone. Plus, retiring products have discounts of up to 50%!

Three Crosses Easter Bendi Card

Since Easter is really about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I really wanted to make a card that represented the true meaning of Easter.
I think the Bendi card is perfect for making a card like this.

I used the Bendi card template for this project. I also used a few non-Stampin' Up! Dies which are from Gina Maria and Joy Crafts.
In addition, I also used the retired Decorative Dots embossing fowler from the 1/28-3/31/14 SAB catalog.
