How good is Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA ) ?

2012-09-29T05:59:00.001-07:00

I have completed my bachelors degree in commerce...i was thinking that joining this ACCA will help me to get a job overseas. Should I enroll with them…

Just a minute friends here are some success stories and some suck stories that I found on net, which might help you to judge whether you should go for it or not.

Aisha rubnawab blog gives us some reasons why they might not be the best. I think she had a bad experience
with one of their partner but any way things might not be the same for all others.
http://aisharubnawaz.wordpress.com/2011/03/05/top-ten-reasons-why-acca-sucks/

ACCA is a very specialized in accounting and provides very little alternative career outside the line of accounting.

Is ACCA recognized in US ?

According to official website small and medium sized enterprises might not recognize this degree but it is well known among the major accounting firms and multinational organizations.
Furthermore, even if you ACCA, is starting pay for accounting very low.The appeal is also very strictly regulated by the laws and regulations, making it very challenging. Increasing pressure from the society of accountants to buck and strict standards are on the profession of accounting toll. In addition, the ACCA has a very high failure rate, of course, also offers limited insight into the actual work of Accountants.
