Do Something That Scares You.

We all have a list of things we want to do or try in our lives that we know we will probably never do because of fear of doing them. I've had the list for years, the 'I really want to...but' list. Looking at it now, I know that a lot of the fear is the fear of change and failure, but I've come to learn that if you don't try you don't know and if you don't do, you look back and regret!

So it was about time I started ticking some off.

One thing that had been on my list was to live in London, well that happened and I'm loving it. Another was to get my nose pierced, It's happened! I'm thinking I want to change to a ring when I can. What are you're thoughts?

I have always said I've wanted to do it but alway put it off with excuses like, I don't have a good nose for a piercing or the pain! I reached a point were I knew I needed to do something for myself that made me feel good and I knew that I needed to do something that scared me. I needed to have that 'I did it' feeling. Also do you ever want something so bad that the fear just kind of goes? I don't care, I just want it!

My housemate has always wanted hers done too and she had found a little place very close to us to go. We literally sat on the sofa looked at each other and said 'shall we?.... YES!' and week later i have a hole in my nose and I love it!

The feeling after you do something that scares you is one of the best feelings and I challenge you all to do something you've always wanted to do but have been to scared to do it! Push yourself, you can do it!

Next on my list is a tattoo! Lets see how long it takes me to tick that one off!

Is Social Media the new Counsellor?

Has anyone else noticed how they are so much more open online? About how they are feeling, what is happening in their lives and where they are with their mental health? It's almost as if social media has become a counsellor for so many people, myself included.

Why is it that we are all so much happier to open up behind a computer screen rather than turning to our friends and family for a good heart to heart chat, or asking a professional for help? We would much rather post an arty picture that shows a perfect life with a caption saying how hard we are finding reality. I know I am very guilty of this on a daily basis.

But should this been seen as a negative thing?

As I've said before I'm an extremely private person and find it very hard to completely open myself up to someone including family which should be my first turn. If I'm completely honest there are very few people who truly see the real me because I'm so scared of being judged for my dorky side. However for me Twitter and Instagram are both places I can an go to escape, be who I really am behind a profile picture.

I guess thats how I want to feel about my blog too. For it to be a place I can come and type my deepest thoughts and be my true self without getting peoples opinions on my situation, just someone to listen and read and even reach out if they have been through anything similar or felt the same way as me. It's a great comfort to have people you've never spoken to before and will probably never speak to or meet again say ME TO.

We all feel alone at some point in our lives and I truely think that social media, like Twitter and Instagram are opening peoples eyes to that fact that we really aren't alone and we never have been.

The unplanned, planned ramble

At this time yesterday I was sat in the exact same spot with my laptop on my knee ready to type out a blog post, feeling motivated. Then just as I have done many times recently I feel into such a funk and low mood that words just didn't come to me.

I know I'm not the best writer and I find it extremely hard to put what I'm thinking into words, which is the main reason I switched from blogging to youtube, but having very low self esteem has caused me to not want to pick up the camera and film anything so I have turned back to my blog so I have somewhere to put down how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking, knowing that not many people will read, but it means I get it off my chest.

I'm a very private person and become very uncomfortable when asked about how I am or about a situation in my life and I'm the one that will just say 'I'm fine' When really I'm broken inside and so confused about life in general. I will do everything I can to change a subject away from myself. If I don't bring up a subject about myself to you its very unlikely I will open up about it when asked.

I have found recently that having a day of doing nothing after a day/days full of fun and friends causes me to just slip into a numb frame of mind, when all I want to do is curl up on my own and read a book or watch youtube and enter a different world so I don't have to deal with mine right that second.

Does anyone else have days like this?

The post I wanted to write yesterday was going to be about friendship and how we always talk about how long we've know someone and our best friends from childhood and school. We always assume these are the best friends in our lives and the ones we need by our side all the time, but this is something I have come to learn as not entirely true.

I entered this chapter of my life feeling very alone, after coming out of an 8 year relationship and most of my friends where because of that relationship. I had to start again, at least thats how it felt to me. I didn't just say goodbye to a boyfriend I said goodbye to so many other important people because I just became so uncomfortable being around them as a solo person and not a duo.

However the people I have in my life now know me as 'Cara' and not 'Cara And...' if that makes sense. When you're in a long term relationship the two people almost become a single person. I moved to London having to learn who 'Cara' the singular person was and although I know I'm not 100% there at all I am slowly becoming myself again, becoming the dorky person I used to be.

With help from 3 amazing girls <3 My housemates.

This is a part of my life I thought I had skipped, moving out and living with friends was something I never thought I'd experience. But here I am trying my hardest to make the most of every second. Having highs and lows along the way. But I can't thank these girls enough.

We spent Saturday night drink cocktails, laughing and playing golf. If you've never been to JunkYard golf before and are ever in the Brick Lane area I highly recommend you visit. I had the best time forgetting about the outside world. I lost at the golf but had so much fun in the process.

This is post is nothing like how I wanted it to be when I planned it in my head yesterday but sometimes its good to just sit and type what comes to your mind right? It doesn't flow and probably doesn't make much sense but I feel so much better for writing it!

Find a Happy Place

Long time no type! Infact the last time I blogged was exactly a year ago tomorrow! (22nd Jan 2017)

As a lot of you will know if you work in retail Christmas can be a very long, stressful and exhausting time of year. While everyone around you lists all the food they'll be eating and which friends and family they be seeing and when, you just sit quietly wondering what time you'll make it home Christmas eve after a very long work day and what time you'll need to leave to make it back in time ready for work on the 27th!

I have found this year harder than normal, having moved away from home and although yes I have worked the same amount I haven't been going home to my traditional christmas and having cosy nights with Aurora watching Christmas films.

So because of this over the last new weeks whenever I've had a few days off work I have tried to get away and my happy place has been at my brother. I'm so lucky to have a friendship with my bother like I do.

While I was there this time, we met up with our friend Christina (youtube link) and we went out for dinner. We found an adorable little pub just outside Grantham called The Stag. I wish we had found this place during Christmas because the decorations would have been adorable!

They did however still have fairy lights around the fire place because fairy lights are forever not just for Christmas!

The Menu was as cute as the decor and had a really good choice of meals all traditional pub food but also most of it supplied from the farms surrounding. I went for the cheese burger and some Garlic Bread, Oh My!! it was amazing! I also had a cheese cake for dessert and the presentation was stunning!

No matter what we do when I'm at my brothers I leave feeling much more relaxed and thats something I've needed over the last few months.

Today is brother appreciation day :) Thank you for being my best friend.

5 Tips to a Positive Mind

2016 was a hard year for me. I struggled daily with depression and anxiety and created my own very negative world. Even though I was surrounded daily but people who love me and supported me and would do anything in their power to make me smile, I just didn't see it and I hated it.

I was on medication for around 9 months and I know I am very lucky to have been able to reduce and stop my anti-depressants and anxiety medication as many people have them for years if not a life time.

However as much as the medication helped me with my depression I still found it extremely hard to see a positive, in anything and I knew that has to change, in order for me to start feeling more myself I was the on that had to make the change. Medication can only help to far.

I fell I am now in a place I want to be. To get to this place I have found certain things have helped me reach the point I'm at now and I really want to share them with you.

1. Find the positive.

For everyone, not just people who suffer from depression or any kind of mental illness, it will always be the negative part of your day that will stand out and stick in your mind. We really have to stop and think to find a positive, but this is something we must do!

I would make myself sit down before I went to sleep and write down at least 1 positive thing that had happened in that day, whether it be as small as something smiling at me on the street and saying thank you after I had helped that at work to getting a promotion at work.

Writing down these meant I ended my day seeing the good and not dwelling on the bad. It also meant I would make up in a much more motivated and positive mood ready for the day ahead.

2. Do something out of your comfort zone.

Obviously this is not something you can act on everyday but If something arises and invite to a party or a day out with a friend, something that makes you scared, say YES! You of course might be extremely anxious about going to this party or day out but believe me the feeling and buzz you feel after you have pushed through the fear is immense. The Pride you feel in yourself is an amazing feeling and something everyone should experience .

Be proud of who you are and what you've done.

You're AMAZING!

3. Reflect and have 'me' time

Even the most positive person on the earth will have their down days, days were they don't want to see people and talk to people and just want to be alone. Thats okay! But instead of sitting and watching Netflix in your Jammies, go and pamper yourself, do something that you really enjoy doing or that makes you feel good. Paint your nails, have a relaxing bubble bath, read a book, go for a run? These are just a few examples that used to help me. Make yourself feel good!

You deserve it!

4. Be conscience of who you surround yourself with.

I'm an emotion sponge, by that I mean I will feel the emotion that the person I'm with is feeling, meaning that when I had people in my life that oozed negativey I will also look at the world in the same way. I had to let people go out of my life to help myself. As selfish as that sounds it really has done me the world of good. I have so many people in my life now that really drive me to the best I can be. Making me proud of all I have achieved so far rather then always focusing on what I'm yet to achieve.

5. Cry

If you need to cry DO IT! If you need to scream DO IT!! Don't hold it in! Find someone you can talk to. I never spoke to people about how I was feeling because I was afraid of what they might think and I was terrified of them turning their back on me. I was so wrong. If a person turns away from you when you need them most, they aren't worth having in your life! trust me! I lost friendships when I was at my worst, friendships I believed to be strong, but they clearly weren't, I feel so much better now having lost those people because I know those who are still here are here for good and love me.

I'm not exactly 100% where I want to be in my life, but I am happy with where I am and who I have in it. I look back of where I have come from and how far I've come and I'm excited for the future. I no longer just look forward and what I haven't reached yet.

Look at what I've achieved I know I can do anything if I really believe!

I've set myself the goal of blogging more this year, with a fresh face and a 'new me' I'm beginning with another 2017 goal, to spend more time with friends & leave my comfort zone.

After some Pancakes and tea of course!

Today Myself, Pippa (Clashing Time) & Laurel (Lola's Little Wonders) spent our 'day'... after spending the morning being super productive planning content & Pippa being amazing & helping me revamp my little blog ... at Portobello Road Market!

I loved it!

I've always struggled with large groups, lots of noise & not having a clue where I am or where I'm going...dramatic I know & the main reason I will find any reason to not do things. But being with old friends &new friends exploring new places together just makes it so much more exciting and my nerves & anxieties fell away

The colours, smells & sounds create such an immense environment to wonder and explore.

Today has given me the London adventure bug, I need more! If you've never ventured to Portobello road make it a top on your to do list.

Tell them you love them!

Okay so I have been so bad with with blog! It's in its 5th year now and I have just been losing the love for it, do any other bloggers go through that? I think about doing a blog post every day but never get around to it, or I can't think of anything good to blog about and I stress myself out about it!

Today I just using my blog as a way of getting things of my chest and out of my head!

Sunday was one of the worst days of my life, my Grandma died.

She hasn't been well for a while but she has always been such a strong women getting back up and getting on with it.

As a young child myself, my brother and my Dad used to drive up to see her and my grandad for Christmas and also in the summer, my childhood was with her and I feel like that's over.

It's hard to explain but I feel like whenever I saw her or thought about her and my grandad I'd go back to that little giggly girl sitting on their living room floor with either a glass of milk or Yellow Lemonade and eating party rings with James Bond on the TV and that makes me so happy.

But now I think about that and feel so sad and lost. That part of my life has completely gone now, their gone, their bungalow will be sold, its over.

Sorry I know this is a pretty depressing post, but I find writing everything down really helps me come to terms with things and get things of my chest.

I think if you have lost someone you will understand what I mean.

I didn't see her much at all the last new years and so it doesn't quite feel real yet, I have moments when I'm fine and then I have moments when it all becomes reality and I break down.

I just want you all to promise me that you will tell your family you love them whenever you can, call them just for a chat, give them hug just because you can.

I wish I could go back in time and just spend one more day with my grandma and grandad watching James bond eating my party rings.

Cars, Watches and Understanding || Week 7, 8 & 9

Hello lovelies x

So the last few weeks have been pretty crazy, meaning I never had time to sit and write a post, so here is a quick summery of the last 3 weeks! :)

Daniel finally got a car! :) It's so nice to driven around places now! We have been together nearly 7 years so he has a lot of taxiing to make up for! I thought I would be really nervous as a passenger with time too, but I'm really not :)

I love it when the weather starts to get colder again, although its not been the hottest of summers but anyway. It's means I start to get lovely Aurora cuddles again! There is something so soothing about falling asleep listening to a cat purring and she relaxes me so much! I find I sleep better if she is in the room. Not sure why but it does

Oh and yes I'm still looking for a new watch! There is this one for Olivia Burton which I adore, but I don't want to buy it online I want to try it first and the only place I can get Oliver Burton is John Lewis and they don't have it!

However I have also seen these too! These ones are from Fossil ( did you know fossil pretty much make every brand of watch!) The first one has all 3 metals in it so it would go with everything! and its such a nice size.

But these 2 smaller ones are adorable and would be so easy to wear with them being so small, I just don't know what to go for...Whats you favourite?

Lastly just quickly before I go, I found this the other day and I feel like it explains so much so I just wanted to share it. It's for anyone who suffers with anxiety and depression. I think this is the best way to describe how it feels. Also it would help anyone who doesn't suffer to understand what someone they may know is feeling and how just understand how they feel can help so much .

Tea, Scones and baby feet || Week 6

I'm well and truly addicted to little cute tea shops now! I met up with Hannah this week on Tuesday and we popped into Ely to go for lunch at 'Peacocks Teashop' It is seriously adorable in there! I wish I had got some pictures of the actual teashop but instead I was preoccupied by my food and drink!

I yet again had a Hot Chocolate (with all the timings) Complete with a very scrummy chocolate teapot! Hannah had a decaf Earl Grey (I think)

We couldn't decide what to have to eat, the menu there is actually so much bigger than we where expecting. I had a cheese scone with butter and Hannah had a fruit scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam! The Scones were massive! We were going to have a dessert but we were too full after the Scones!

We had such a lovely afternoon in Peacocks and Ely, If you looking for a nice place to go for a girlie catch up I highly recommend Peacocks! To much cuteness in that place!

On Thursday Daniel and I went to see His sister and baby Theodore and I received the cutest birthday card I had ever got!!

Look at the tiny foot print! apparently he wiggled so the foot print is smudged but that just makes me love it even more!

Okay so the girls at work got a John Lewis voucher for my birthday and I can't decide what to use it for. The blogger half of me wants to go and buy lots of beautiful make up, the other half wants something that is going to last forever, so when I look at it I think of the girls! (sad I know) So I have been looking at Olivia Burton watches.

I popped into John Lewis on my lunch the other day and tried this one on (and many more). The picture is awful because the lights in there really weren't great! I have also seen a mixed metal bracelet one too but they didn't have that there! :(

What do you think I should do?

Today I had to say goodbye to my Grandma who has been staying with us for the past 2 weeks, I had to work so it was rushed goodbye this morning! :( I hate goodbyes! I should start saying 'See you later' instead!

Birthday Girl || Week 5

Good Morning PPB's! I hope you have all had a wonderful week! As you have probably guessed from the title it was my birthday this week :) I always get the week of my birthday off work too I don't really know why, I just like to be able to have freedom to do want I want around my birthday.

I had a lovely relaxed week and believe me it has been really needed, with my anxiety back its pretty much my body screaming at me!

On my birthday Mum, Grandma who has come down to stay! :), Daniel and I went to an adorable little vintage tea shop for lunch! It's in Newmarket called Nancy's. It's where Daniel's Sister had her baby shower.

Not the manliest place haha but I had such a lovely time and the food there is so good! I had a milk chocolate hot chocolate and a salmon and cream cheese sandwich. The Hot Chocolate's there are amazing! They do 4 different ones! White chocolate, Milk chocolate, dark chocolate and 87% Dark chocolate!

Everything comes in vintage tea sets too, seriously its adorable!!

I had the best day spent with family and Daniel! The best way to spend a birthday in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure most of you have heard of Bloom&Wild by now, if not its a flower delivery service and their flowers come in boxes that fit through a letterbox. Sounds terrifying right how are the flowers not squished and dead, but it works so well.

These are the ones I got this month, so beautiful! I'm obsessed with how it makes my dressing table look!

I'm a massive fan of having fresh flowers in my room and for £15 a month (if you opt for the 1 bouquet a month) its perfect, the bouquets you get would definitely cost way more than £15 in the shops! Also they are seasonal flowers every month so they always look their best!

To finish my week off we went in to Bury St Edmunds, it's such a beautiful town, good place to shop and eat but also good if you just want a relaxed day out in the sun.

While there we went to a little café, I can't remember the name of it but if you know Bury, its on the corner just before the Abby Gardens.

I had a Salmon, Avocado and melted cheese sandwich on Granary bread! Oh My!!! It was so good! Obviously I had an Elderflower too! I'm addicted to that drink atm! It's so refreshing!

I hope you've had a good week to, the sun is really starting to show is little face now and I'm loving it! Really don't want to go back to work tomorrow.

Waterproofs and making new friends || Week 4

Seriously what is going on with this summers weather! I read this morning that the whole of August is going to be raining and windy, this doesn't make me happy! I swear they said we would have a 3 month summer this year! seems more like 3 days! haha. I did not expect to still be reaching for my leather jacket still!

The colder weather has made me look at new coats though, I have to say I do prefer Autumn fashion, wrapping up warm but not wrapping up so much that you can't move and feel like a baby in a snow suit! Walking around in the jumping jack position! I've been looking around for a new Autumn coat and found 2 that I LOVE from TopShop!

This rain coat reminds me of being a child and wearing wellies jumping around in puddles and feeding the ducks in the rain (true British thing to do) I also love the contrast with the bright yellow and then the blue and white lining! So much love for this coat! It would be perfect for the rainy commutes to work. How practical of me!!

This one, well, I have been wanting a trench coat for ever but I've never found that perfect one. They always seem to look funny on me, okay so I haven't tried this one on but I can just tell from the waterfall cut that it would look amazing! Seriously adore this coat! But I can't find it in any of the TopShops near me! I want to 'try before they buy' as they say, mainly because I've had so many problems finding one to actually looks half decent on me!

Also this week I met up with the beautiful Pippa for dinner! I was quiet nervous as we had only met once before at the Camb meet up but we had talked through twitter. She is honestly one of the loveliest people I have ever met! So easy to talk to, we probably could have sat and talked for hours!! I was a bad blogger and didn't take any pictures but we eat the the Pint Shop in Cambridge. They do scrummy food and its so well priced too! I highly recommend it if you in or around Cambridge some time! It's just of the market square so a perfect location after a tourist day out.

2 steps forward 1 step back || Week 3

I hate that feeling when you think you've made a lot of progress and then everything takes that one big step back! Thats how this week has felt for me. I don't know if I've every spoken about it on here but I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety and about 4/5 months ago I was put on some medication, not just for anxiety but they are meant to help with that too. Since being on them I haven't had a panic attack, don't get me wrong I still have days were anxiety is in full control but its never become too much, until Wednesday. :( I had a really long 2 weeks at work and I think its mainly due to exhaustion, worry and stress but I started to get panicky again on Wednesday, managed to control it but I think from then on I felt so horrible that it had nearly come to it again that I got more stressed and had panic attack on Friday :( I hate them. They make me feel so weak and as if I have no control over my body or feelings or anything, its a really unsettling feeling and I really wouldn't wish them on anyone! I always feel so embarrassed after too, mainly because people don't know whats been happening in my life, so therefore don't understand why I would have reason to be anxious and panicky but also because it makes me feel so vulnerable and I always think it makes others look at me like I'm weak and pathetic.

Wow that was a happy start wasn't it, I just felt like I needed to let that out, I'm the sort of person that bottles things up and then explodes either with sadness or with anger or I just shut myself away and don't talk to anyone and thats really not good but when I'm in that frame of mind talking to a person is just something I don't want to do. Thats mainly why I have changed my blog from all beauty to more lifestyle, its my way of letting things out without feeling like I piling all my problems onto some who doesn't really want to listen but feels like they have to, you guys can just click off, but I still get to let it all out and my keyboard takes the battering and not someones ears haha.

On a happier note I did some retail therapy this week with mother hen, as it was pay week and my birthday in August I like to treat myself to a little newness and some treasures! I'm going to be doing a haul video from Monday (3rd August) so keep your eyes peeled for that! I'm seriously loving being back in front of the camera and editing my videos again! I really did miss it! :)

If any of you have any advice on how to control a panic attack or relax myself if I start to feel anxious I would be very grateful!

Next weeks post will hopefully be a lot happier :D

Family and Filming || Week 2

Happy Sunday!

This week has been a long and boring one! I was on a 5 day straight at work and anyone who works in retail will understand how long a week that it! I'm on the same next week, can't say I'm looking forward to it, but the result of this 5 days is a nice weekend off! :)

I have really been wanting to get into running and I have been saying this for like months now and just haven't got anywhere with it haha, I've got all the clothes, its sort of become and obsession to buy work out clothes, they are just so comfy! But I still don't have any trainers! There are so many designs and brands to choose from!

These are my favourite so far! I'm in love with the colouring! Anything with Orange and I'm there! If you run what type of trainer would you recommend or brand, there are just to many for my brain to cope with!

After saying that I sound like I'm quite active but this weekend has been far from it haha, it's been a pretty relaxed weekend. Today Daniel and I went to see his sister and our baby nephew! I'm so in love with him, is adorable!!

We just went out for a walk as there was a fair type thing on the park where she lives and then went to Frankie and Benny's for lunch! It was so good but I ate far to much. I had their 'New York' wrap and I will be having it again, so yummy!

The only productive thing I have done this weekend is finally film some videos for YouTube!! After a long break a video will be going live on Monday! YAY. I have missed it so much!!

Bathrooms + Animal friends || Week 1 (+ abit)

Good Evening, So it begins my weekly posts, well this one is like a week and half but from now on its weekly. A diary for me to look back on! :)

I had a very productive day today! I have re-organised my wardrobe, so ordered now haha and that fact makes me very happy, come on I'm not the only one! I did a work out then had an amazing bubble bath, in a still not finish bathroom (more on that later) and read 6 chapters of 'Girl Online' I got the book for Christmas but just haven't got around to reading it; Its much better than I thought it was going to be and I find myself wanting to keep reading, hence the 6 chapters; They're not the longest chapters but I didn't want to turn into a raisin so 6 was enough while in the bath haha!

So talking about Bathrooms, this is currently how mine looks;

There are now white tiles all around the bath so just imagine that too

We were meant to have a working shower by now but there is still a part missing AGH! I just want to wash properly haha, please note I have had baths, its not like I've gone 3 weeks without washing, but a bath just doesn't feel as clean as a long hot shower does it! They've told us by Tuesday we should be able to use it so cross your fingers! haha

OH on Thursday (2nd) The Boy and I went to the Zoo, Only Linton Zoo was not amazing but still it was really good to get out and enjoy the sun while it last!

At Linton Zoo they're mainly birds but they do have lions and tigers and kangaroos, which I found hilarious, just look how its laying haha! It's like 'look and my muscles!' Honestly it reminded me of a best friends boyfriend, (she agreed).

On the subject of animals, I don't know if I've introduced you to Little Lady here on my blog? Little Lady is my new fur Baby.

She is a Russian Dwarf and she is adorable! She was a bit of a spontaneous buy! I'd gone into Pets At Home with mum to pick up a few cat bits and we could hear a horrible squeal coming from the hamsters and it was Lady (not called Lady at that point obviously) I couldn't leave her being bullied by her cage mates so I got her haha. She has such a sweet temperament, so calm :)

In this hot weather she has been the cutest and she sleeps like this;

She lays flat on her belly and sticks her head out under her house! Too cute! If you're wanting to get a pet but nothing too much work, I would seriously recommend a hamster, so easy to take care of and perfect for children too!

Nothing else really happened this week (and a bit) I hope you've all had a wonderful start to your July and I'll speak to you next week! :) I think Sunday is going to be my blog post day, makes sense being a weekly round up kind of post doesn't it :)

A Pointless Post

Hello PPB's Long time no typing, (again). I don't really have anything to write about and no one will probably actually sit and read this, its very pointless post, but I'm just sat in my garden on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon, on my one person picnic blanket and I was just in the mood to sit and type a blog post for no reason. So I have no idea how this post will turn out nor if I will even post it but it's sometimes nice to just sit down and write things down so you can look back and remember good things that have happened or little moments you want to remember, I'm also hopping my laptop doesn't over heat from the sun.

It's so hot today, finally the English summer has begun. One thing I love about English summer is there is nearly always a nice breeze that refreshes you while you sit a type or read or whatever you like to do when the sun is shining. Summer is a time I like to sit and read in the garden, I'm not really much of a reader any other time of year, but when I just want to sit outside and have some alone time, (normal joined by the cat) that's when I will read a book. I very picky about books too, I love crime novels, books you really have to read to know whats going on, I'm not the type of person to just sit a read any book it has to hook my from chapter 1 too. The book I read last summer was 'Gone Girl' which I'm pretty confident you have all read or watched by now! I still haven't seen the film but It's had amazing reviews, I always find it hard to watch a film adaptation of a book I've really enjoyed reading because the Actors never resemble the Characters I'm picture, even with little things like eye colour and hair colour, or face shape, WhenI read I really go onto detail about how I think the person would look and sons when the talk, Don't know if I'm the only one that does that... An example being.. Yup...'50 Shades of Grey' I read all 3 books and refuse to go and see the first film, he is just not my Christian Grey, I think the only books I've enjoyed as a film is good old Harry Potter, Those books and films will always be favourites of mine. I haven't found book I want to read this summer yet, so if you'r actually sitting and reading this, let me know what you've been reading :)

Right now all I can hear is drilling and banging, It was what I was woken to by this morning, we are having our new bathroom re-done, If you didn't know I moved how back in December and the bathroom was so date and the shower was so small you couldn't bend over with put you head hitting one side and your bum the other, not great haha but I'm so excited for the new one to be finished! I should have taken some before pictures so I could show you how it looked, but I'm a really bad blogger atm so it never crossed my mind.

The sun shows up how dusty my laptop screen is! oops! Needs a good clean!

Sitting in the garden is wishful thinking for me to get a tan, It never happens, I just don't tan .. Ever! and fake tans look awful on me, because I'm so pale they are so obviously faked and look dreadful! Just not a good look. to be fair I do tan, but its only me that can notice it haha! I'm the sort of person that glows white, then glows red and then glows white again with no hint of brown! I should probably just embrace my English Rose look and work it! haha!

I think I decided I'm going to make my Blog more of a personal Diary for me. There will still be beauty bits and things, but I want to keep all of that for my YouTube channel, I find it much easier to explain things through speaking them than trying to write them down using all the clever words really good bloggers use, English has never been a massive strong point for me. So yes I think I'm going to do weekly round ups every week, with all the things I have been up to or not as the case may be, just so I can look back and see whats happened in my life. I don't blame you if you don't wish to read things like that, but I think a blog should be for the person writing it and for the readers to enjoy if they wish. I',m a strong believer in bloggers showing their personalities in their writing and nothings show that more than a diary blog.

Wow if you have sat and read that well done! haha I don't think anyone will have but oh well haha!

Spring has Sprung

Hello PPB's

As a lot of you will know, I have recently moved house, okay well it was 4 months ago but the house still looks like we moved in a month ago! Anyway, the new place has come with a pretty big garden, for us anyway :) and the older couple who lived here before us were keen gardeners. With it being December when we moved in as you can imagine the garden was pretty brown and dull, but now the sun is starting to make an appearance and spring is upon us the beautiful flowers and plants have started to show their faces, so on this sunny Easter Sunday morning I took my camera outside (while picking some tulips for my room) and took some pictures. Here are said pictures :D

( I'm no photographer but I'm pretty impressed with how these turned out, having a nice camera did help though!)

We are just letting everything grow this summer to see what comes up in the garden. There were a lot of beautiful lilies too, however with having 2 cats we had to dig those up pretty quickly, if you didn't know lilies a very poisonous to cats so they have now gone but there are still so many things growing , maybe I'll so a summer update no the garden when its fully bloomed! :)

A Monthly Favourite - Kiko!

Hello Beauties!

So every month so far on YouTube I have done a Monthly Favourites video, however this month I really haven't changed anything that I had been using apart from one thing, I was introduced to a Beauty brand called Kiko, some of you are probably shouting at the screen saying his have I only just feared of them, but there wasn't anywhere in or near Cambridge that sold it and it wasn't until a girl from Guildford came to work with us and kindly bought me one of their mascaras ( of which I now use everyday) that I became obsessed with it and now a store has just opened in Cambridge!! So of course I had to go and buy stuff and try it all out. Here are a couple of things I have picked up so far!

I'm going to do a video using some of if not most of these over on my Channel so make sure to subscribe to that so you don't miss it! :)

Well Hello my little beauties!

It has been way too long since I blogged! My last blog post was on the 19th of October! Such a bad blogger right here. In my defence I have been focusing a lot of my time on my YouTube Channel and if you have popped over there yet I'll leave a link at the end! :)

Another reason I haven't really blogged is because I just haven't had the chance or time to just sit down and type a blog post and take photos and so on, So I thought the perfect way to come back was with a 'Motivate Me' post. I love typing theses as they really make me think about life and I need to learn from what I preach.

As its now that Christmas shopping time I have found working in retail such hard work, I have been really struggling with anxiety recently and this has really not help. Many people become very rude and genuinely feels like they forget that us assistants helping them are human too and have feelings! I think the 8 things above are so important for myself to remember but also people shopping or out and about to remember!

1) Just remember to stop and relax, rushing around and stressing over things is not good for you're health wether you suffer from anxiety or not, it will exhaust your body and make you ill. Also make time yourself, even if its just 1.2 evenings a week just have some me time and pamper yourself, you deserve it!

2) Thank you are 2 very little words that mean a lot and so many of us forget them! Working in retail a little thank you after I've helped someone really makes a difference to my day.

3) A simple smile as you pass a strange can make help someones day. Do you not find that even if you're having a bad day if someone smiles at your or makes your smile you even for a minute forget what your angry or upset about?

4) Remember to breath and this is something I really need to remember. When you start to feel stressed or anxious, stop, shut your eyes and take a deep breath.

5) A small compliment can turn someones day around! I always say, People are very quick to complain and moan but never to compliment but a compliment is much more powerful! An example being the other day at work, my colleague was serving a lovely couple and the gentleman came over to myself and my manger and said he wanted to pass on that her service was amazing and that she has been very genuine and couldn't have helped them anymore. This changed everyones mood in the shop and the day finished on a high!

6) It's the small things that matter, going back to a simple thank you and a little smile.

7) Frame of mind makes a massive difference in how your day will go, If you wake up and just straight away think that today is going to be awful, it probably will be because all you will see is the negative of it. If you go into your day thinking, I'm going to do my best today and be happy and not let things upset me, from personal experience I have found those days to be much for for filling and productive.

8) Through out everyday there will always be something good, you just have to look for it. At the end of everyday sit down and find something good that happened or something that make your smile or laugh. You won't go through a whole day without smiling at something. I try to do this and yes somedays its hard but I always managed to think of something and it makes me feel so much happier about that day I've just had and the day to come when I wake up.

I truly think that remembering these 8 things will help us get through any stressful time. Just remember you don't know whats happening in someone else's life so just think before your act and before you speak. 'Treat others how you wish to be treated' this couldn't be more important and is something I try to live by.
