It's usually just a matter of not knowing how to reinvent it into another meal. With this Web site, you don't have to rack your brain trying to think of something different to make with you leftovers. You can just your into this wizard and let it do its thing!

It's really easy to use! All you have to do is select the ingredients and click on the What Can I Make? button. You can search with one to three ingredients. If your search comes up with no results, try to broaden it by dropping an ingredient.

Put in spaghetti sauce and cheddar cheese and the wizard comes up with 42 recipes. From that search, there is a crock pot pizza recipe. It looks and sounds delicious!

There are two great sections on the site are Flavor Combinations and What's Fresh Now!

Flavor Combinations gives you a list of the hottest flavor combos you can try searching for. Some of my favorites are listed, such as garlic, lemon and chicken. A few more favorites are soy sauce, orange juice and ginger. This section gives you great inspiration.

What's Fresh Now gives you a listing of what's in season right now. This is a very painful disease. You can have debilitating pain and itching, numbness, and a rash that reminds you of Chicken Pox. If you are 50 years older or older, Please contact your physician immediately and ask about the vaccine to prevent Shingles. This is a very painful disease. I can stand a lot of pain but, Shingles (which they call Zosters Herpes - comes from the Chicken Pox virus that stayed in your spinal system after they were gone, and something triggers it. Which follows a path along your nerve endings. You can have debilitating pain and itching, numbness, and a rash that reminds you of Chicken Pox. My husband had Shingles in April . His Shingles started on his Neck and spread to his shoulder and chest (he was given Valtrex for 7 days taken 3 times a day. Cost $180 for 21 pills) . Mine started in May. My Shingles started with uncontrollable itching on my thigh for over 24 hours. Then the next day my lower back (right below my waist) felt like it went out and I was in extreme pain and a burning feeling. The next step was numbness on my thigh from right above my knee to 3/4 the way up my thigh. From there it went to breaking out on my lower back and thigh, which then spread to my hip and more over the top and sides of my thigh to my knee. I received the same prescription as my husband, plus pain medication and a neurapathy medication to hopefully prevent permanent damage of the nerves. The pain was horrendous, unrelenting at times, and debilitating. My pain would start at my lower back below the waist to my hip and down the sides and top of my thigh past my knee. The pain shoots from my back to my knee and was a constant stabbing pain. Symptoms can be a headache, flu, the light bother your eyes. It may take a couple of days for the Shingles rash to show up. The rash can often be mistaken for spider or bug bites. My first symptom was uncontrollable itching of my thigh, then numbness, and then my lower back, right below my waist felt like it went out. I was in extreme pain. My rash was on my lower back below my waist so I didn't notice them for around 6 days). The rash spreads into groups of blisters along a path which my doctor said it travels along the path of the nerve that is affected. The rash then fills with liquid, much like chicken pox. It can take from 2 to 6 weeks for them to heal. First they will either break open, or form a scab. After the scabs have formed it takes a good month for the scabbing to disappear. You will still have skin discoloration from where the Shingles were, and this took about another good month to disappear totally. I used Calamine Lotion to alleviate the itching. My father had Shingles years ago before they had any medication for it. He had his on the right side of his face, it went right down the center of his head, through his hair, down his forehead, nose and down to his chin. I remember so well how horrible he looked. The right side of his face was just raw with sores, that were oozing pus. No one could even touch his head or face as the pain was so intense. I remember him telling me after they were over and all was left was the permanent scars. My Aunt had Shingles 2 years ago. She had hers on the right side of her face. She showed me pictures, the right side of her face was swollen beyond recognition. I didn't even realize it was her until she told me. Her eye was swollen shut, she had sores on her face, her lips were swollen at least 5 times the size they were. They just protruded from her face. She thought the swelling was from a tooth she needed to have fixed. Needless to say the dentist told her she needed to go straight to the doctor. She was given similar medications, along with pain pills that would make her sleep. She said she was in extreme pain, and now she has permanent damage of numbness and stabbing pains to the right side of her face. The doctors told her she would have that for the rest of her life. I also talked to another gentleman who said he had his Shingle 2 years ago. His were on his back and spread around to his chest and waist. He said the pain was unbearable and that it took 2 weeks for his Shingles to dry up. He now has permanent damage of pain and itching, which was diagnosed by a Neurological specialist. My husbands said his Shingles itched a lot and he had a lot of discomfort with them. He healed in about 4 weeks, with the itching lasting another 2 weeks from the onset of the rash. He has no permanent damage. There is no cure for shingles. Anyone who has not had Chicken Pox can get them if they have been in contact with someone who had or was coming down with Shingles. Others that a person with Shingles should stay away from are, anyone who has been ill, has a weakened immune system, children, babies, pregnant women. If you have been in contact with someone before you knew you had Shingles please let them know. For those who have not had Chicken Pox they will get them, for others Shingles is contagious and they can get Shingles. But, the only way they can get Shingles is if they already had Chicken Pox. If you think you might have shingles you need to contact your doctor immediately. Even if you have pain or itching, or something that you have never had before, go have it checked out to make sure you don't have shingles. I thought my lower back was out. But, it was only on the right side. I had no idea that I might have the possibility of Shingles, and even with all the signs I gave my doctor he still diagnosed it as my back. When you have gotten over your Shingles you still might have some linger affects. Such as itching, burning, numbness and pain. This could last any where from one month after the Shingles are totally gone to months, years, or even for the rest of your life. I was told that if I was having any of the pain, itching, numbness or burning, that I should come back a month after they are gone to be tested to see if I have permanent nerve damage which is called Postherpetic neuralgia. How my Shingles Progressed: The pain started on or before 5/11/2007 Friday 5/15/2007 was miss diagnosed with lower back pain Sores started on or before 5/17/2007 Monday 5/18/2007 was diagnosed with Shingles They are still spreading 5/24/2007 Shingles stopped spreading 5/26/2007 I want to say a couple of things, they say it is only a couple of days before the rash shows up. That was not so for myself. People often mistake Shingles as bug bites(that is what my husband thought he had). If you ever have itching or pain on one side of your body that is unusual to you, go to the doctor immediately and have them check you for Shingles. A lot of symptoms throw the doctors off, they did for me, they thought it was my back and so did I. 6/3/2007 The Shingles have dried up, just waiting for all the scabbing to fall off. I am in extreme pain. Haven't gotten more than 2 1/2 hours sleep in a row for 3 weeks. The pain has actually gotten worse instead of better. I am hoping and praying that there will be no permanent damage. 6/17/2007 - where the shingles were are lightening, still some flakiness to come off. There is an area on my thigh that still itches, burns and is painful at times. I also get a stabbing or shooting pain occasionally, and my skin feels like something is crawling under or on top of my skin on my thigh. Also the numbness comes and goes, it is a light numbness. This started my 5th week from when we noticed the sores, and the 6th week since the itching for one day and then pain started. 5 weeks ago is when the shingles started spreading. My Shingles also caused depression and difficulty sleeping. 7/6/2007 - I still have occasional pain, numbness and itching that comes and goes. My skin gets that crawling feeling occasionally. Most of the time the pain and itching is tolerable but, some days is is not. I have first started wearing regular clothes for longer periods of time (instead of light weight pajama bottoms). The wind or a breeze in the house will still sometimes be very sensitive. All in all things have gotten better, where the Shingles were is really fading nicely. Time will only tell if these symptoms will be permanent or not.
READ MORE AT

Rocking T Knife Makes Slicing and Dicing a Breeze

This Knife Gives You Independence Again
The Rocking T Knife is wonderful for those who have arthritis, are handicapped (Cerebral Palsy), who have limited hand motion, or for those who have had a stroke, nursing home patients and the elderly. At this time I would just either get to school or work and end up with the diarrhea for the first couple of hours in the morning. Now these as I have come to call them my attacks lasted on and off for about 3 months, just in the morning hours. Using Pep-to Bismol was the cure way back then.
When I was 19, I ended up with the diarrhea for 3 weeks straight. My doctor had me admitted to the hospital for a colonoscopy. First, you have to be cleaned out, and then you have the test. They put you to sleep. You do not fully awaken but sometimes you do recall a few things. I vaguely remember watching the computer screen as he was clipping something out of my intestines.

After the test was over, I was sent back to my room and kept on a liquid diet in case they would have to run more tests. Well the next day came and went without seeing the doctor. He got tied up in surgery. He came the next day. He said that I had a few pockets which are called Diverticula and if not treated or taken out can eventually turn into full blown Diverticulitis if one doesn't watch some of the things they eat.http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/466460/foods_and_products_diverticulitis_sufferers.html?cat=43
READ MORE AT

Mucinex Dm Stops Nagging Coughs and Decongests

I have had allergies my entire life. First, it was just the normal, seasonal hay fever when I lived with my parents in the city. Once I got married, we moved to a small village out in the country. Then my allergies would trigger in spring, summer and fall. Once we moved to the farm 26 years ago, my allergies were active all seasons except winter until I started milking cows, bailing hay, doing chores and working with all the animals. Then the allergies were year-round.

Several years back I saw a ear, nose and throat specialist as my allergies got worse. He said I had Chronic Sinusinus. He had me flush out my nasal passages daily with a warm saline solution, and then use prescription nasal spray, eye drops and Zyrtek D.http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/383768/mucinex_dm_stops_nagging_coughs_and.html?cat=5
READ MORE AT

7 Alternate Uses for K-Y Jelly You Probably Don't Know About!

Many people have undoubtedly been under the impression that K-Y Jelly is strictly for bedroom activities. I carry my Tender After Bite in my purse, we have one in each car, first aid kit, barn, and one in the medicine cabinet. It is so easy to use it comes in a hard tube with a soft round tip and screw on cap. Once you have been bitten by a bee/wasp or all the wonderful other bugs that love to bite, just unscrew the cap and go over the area where you were stung or bit (but remember to remove the bee's stinger before applying Tender After Bite). When the mosquitoes are out they always head for me, once bit, I take out the Tender After Bite and apply it to the bite area and it immediately relieves the itching. It has been a life saver for me.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/322247/tender_after_bite_the_itch_eraser.html
READ MORE AT

Band-Aid Tough-Strips for that Tough Injury

How many times have you gone to the store to pick up band-aids? When you get to the first aid or bandage section what do you see? Brand after Brand of different band-aids. Different sizes and shapes. You can see through some, there are the traditional band-aids, colored band-aids, children's band-aids, mixed sizes, medicated and more.

My favorite brand is the Band-Aid Tough-Strips they have a strong adhesive that doesn't come lose until you are ready to take it off. They are made of a heavy stretchable fabric(that is also great for added protection and comfort). There is adhesive around the pad so it will adhere around your wound. They are comfortable, and flexible which is an added plus. Plus they don't have that band-aid smell from the standard kind of band-aid.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/343621/bandaid_toughstrips_for_that_tough.html
READ MORE AT

Neosporin Original to the Rescue

Triple Antibiotic, Odorless, Easy to Use and Apply

Neosporin Original Ointment is by Johnson & Johnson and is a triple antibiotic topical ointment that we have kept in our home for years. The Off Skintastic Insect Repellent For The Whole Family comes in a pump spray bottle.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/327774/fantastic_off_skintastic_insect_repellent.html
READ MORE AT

Large Amounts For Large Parties, Gatherings, Holidays/4th of July

Here are some food amounts for 25,50, and 100 people)

Bread 3 - 1 pound loaves (25 people)
6 - 1 pound loaves (50)
12 - 1 pound loaves (100)

Buns figure 1 1/2 buns per person

Butter 1/2 pound per 25
1 pound per 50
2 pounds per 100

Lettuce 1 1/2 heads - 25
3 heads - 50
6 heads - 100

Mayonnaise 1 1/2 cups per 25

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/772663/food_amounts_for_large_parties_gatherings.html?cat=22
READ MORE AT

Two Little Boys

I received this by email today from my friend Joanne. We all grew up with some sort of dysfunction, and we’re all who we are today because of it. But dysfunction doesn’t determine our destiny. We must learn how to heal from a bad childhood and to take destiny into our own hands. Find out how to start healing from the pain of a dysfunctional family. Plus: Are you depressed…

What did your dysfunctional family look like? Characteristics of a dysfunctional family may include alcoholic or drug-addicted parents, physically, emotionally or sexually abusive parents, psychologically disturbed parents, excessively rigid or controlling parents, bitter divorces, or uninvolved parents.

The impact a dysfunctional family can be overwhelmingly and lasting. Some of the effects include:

Difficulty with emotional or sexual intimacy
Alcohol or drug abuse
Trust issues
Poor communication skills
Clinginess in relationships Oversensitivity
Obsession with perfectionism
Feelings of abandonment or isolation
Feelings of powerlessness
Feelings of worthlessness

We can’t choose the family we’re given. But children of dysfunctional families can overcome leftover feelings from a bad childhood with a new adult perspective. Here’s what you need to know:

You can’t change people

No matter how much you beg or plead, most adults don’t change their core personality or behavior. There has to be a point you reach in which you stop wishful thinking or believing a parent when they say they’ll change – you’ll be disappointed often. You also can’t continuously seek approval or acceptance from someone who never met those needs.

If a dysfunctional parent who won’t change is harming your life with destructive behavior, it’s OK to keep your distance or cut off ties altogether. Blood is not thicker than water. You should only allow someone to be a part of your life if they exhibit good, consistent actions. You have every right to set boundaries to protect your well-being. (more...)
http://www.lifescript.com/channels/healthy_living/Family/the_new_normal__healing_from_a_dysfunctional_family.asp?page=2&trans=1

READ MORE AT

If We Could See Beyond Today

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" Fabrics are arranged in a pleasing random style, such as that used in old-fashioned crazy quilting.

Materials: Assorted print fabrics; One sheet or fabric for backing; Metal grommets (optional).

Instruction: Measure the size of your doorway or shower, and draw a diagram to scale on which to work out your pattern. Plan the design in vertical strips of varying widths. Next, divide the strips into uneven rectangles. Cut the fabric and piece the strips; then add an appliqué heart or two, and sew the strips together into a curtain. Cut and piece fabric for a backing the same size as the curtain. Place the two right sides together and sew, leaving an opening for turning. Turn and stitch the opening closed. Add fabric loops at the top for hanging or metal grommets for hooks.
Window Curtain with lining

Now you can use these curtains on your windows as well. Just cut the curtains wider, and put a large hem in the top, then run a stitch above the hem where the curtain rod will go. Make it about 1/4 inch larger. Back the curtain with material or use a sheet. Attach the sheet to the top of the curtain, and stitch through it where the hem is. This will keep it in place. Hem the lining about and inch or so shorter than the curtain. This lining will help your curtains last longer

Free Quilting Patterns - Patchwork Chair Pad

http://www.craftown.com/quilt/quilt4.htm

Materials: Assorted prints for patchwork; Solid color fabric for backing; Heavy canvas; Polyester quilt batting or fleece.

Directions: To start your chair pad, determine the size of the sling. Then cut a piece of heavy canvas to this size, adding five extra inches on each end for fitting over the frame and tacking down.

Plan your patchwork top so it will be the same length but one inch wider than the canvas. Decide on the size of your squares and make a template for them, adding 1/4-inch seam allowance if you wish. Cut squares of print fabrics and sew them together into rows. Then stitch the rows together to form the cover.

Cut a piece of backing fabric the same size as the finished patchwork. Cut a layer of polyester fleece or quilt batting the same size as the canvas. For more padding, cut several layers.

Place the backing fabric on the floor, wrong side up. Lay the canvas on top of it, and the padding over the canvas. Then add the top, right side up. Baste all layers together. Quilt or tie the layers together. For quilting, machine stitch along the seams between the squares. Use a heavy needle and stitch slowly so as not to break or bend the needle. For tying, use pearl cotton threaded into a needle. Take a small stitch through all layers in the corners of the squares. Knot the threads and cut off the excess.

To finish the edges, fold the top over the canvas, then fold under the edge of the backing. Slip-stitch the side edges closed. Machine stitch along the edges, and attach cover to the frame.
READ MORE AT
