Some see it as management's way of making  employees feel as though they have power when really they don't, making it more  of a "now you have the power to do as you're told" situation. But true  empowerment can change an entire business and accomplish great things. Good  managers and leaders understand that true empowerment means sharing their power  with the people over whom they have power. When individuals and team members  believe that they have the power to make decisions that were previously left  only to managers they become committed and driven employees.&lt;br /&gt;

The 3 Benefits&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are three great benefits gained from empowerment that works: Ideas,  Synergy and Ownership. Let's explore these:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ideas: The old expression "two heads are better than one" was never more  aptly used than in this situation. When employees feel empowered to offer up  ideas and suggestions, great things can, and often do, happen. One of my  favorite examples came from an employee at a clothing company who suggested "the  gravity fed pattern system". Now, this sounds pretty fancy but all the invention  really amounted to was a basic laundry chute. In a large clothing manufacturing  company, the clothing patterns were printed on the second floor and the cutting  machines were on the first floor. This inevitably meant that when new patterns  were needed someone had to run from the first floor to the second to retrieve  the patterns. When an astute employee suggested constructing a "laundry chute"  for delivering the patterns, the team set to work to put the idea in motion. Not  only did the system save everyone valuable time, but everyone had fun  contributing suggestions and watching the idea come to life.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Synergy: Synergy is defined as "two or more units working together to achieve  a greater effect than individuals can do by themselves". When the employee in  the above story first put his idea into words, others jumped on board to help  bring the project to fruition. Someone thought of a way to box in the structure,  another recommended lining the reception box with foam to protect the patterns  and yet another came a catchy name to put on the door. And so the "Automated  Gravity Fed Pattern Delivery System" was born out one empowered group of  employees. Since the alternative to this system was going to be moving the large  printer to the first floor and constructing a whole new room for it, it goes  without saying that the company saved a ton of money!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ownership: Empowerment gives employees ownership of a project or plan. This  in turn creates a desire to participate in, enthusiasm for, and commitment to,  the company's success. The team in the above example owned this project and was  determined to see it through. When employees have no ownership, they have no  interest or desire in contributing new ideas.&lt;br /&gt;

Since we don't come equipped with a reset button, some reprogramming may be in  order. If reprogramming seems a daunting task, take heart. Scientific research  has determined that the human brain is constantly changing. In fact, more than  70% of the connections between brain cells change every day. The essential  question then becomes - &lt;b&gt;Are you changing consciously or are you changing by  default?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Insert a New Tape.&lt;/b&gt; Your present and future experiences need not be  determined or limited by your previous experiences. If you hear the old I Can't  tape playing in your head, EJECT it and replace it with the new I am absolutely  wonderful and worthy of whatever I desire tape. Continue playing the I am  absolutely wonderful and worthy of whatever I desire tape and you will &lt;b&gt;raise  your vibration from I can't to Maybe I can to I hope I can to I think I can to I  know I can to Of course I can and, ultimately, all the way to I did it!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
By changing your tape, you can &lt;b&gt;change your vibration from I can't to Of  course I can to I did it!&lt;/b&gt; at any time. Inserting a new tape will result in  immediate changes in your life. As you begin to EXPECT good things, that  positive expectation acts as a powerful attractor to bring even more good things  into your life.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Reprogram Your Mind&lt;/b&gt;. Reprogram your mind with empowering, Feel Good  Thoughts, such as:&lt;br /&gt;
• Anything I desire is mine.&lt;br /&gt;
• I decide from the inside what's happening  on the outside.&lt;br /&gt;
• I AM happy, brilliant, attractive, vivacious, fully alive,  appreciative, wealthy, wise, compassionate, loving, confident, courageous,  generous. . .&lt;br /&gt;

Continue choosing thoughts that feel good, and you will soon  become the master programmer of your ideal life.&lt;br /&gt;

As you begin to think of yourself in this improved way, remembering your  hopes and dreams and aligning with Who You Really Are, you will know with  certainty that you have creative control of your life. It will be like  remembering something you once knew - &lt;b&gt;Oh, yeah, I create my life in  accordance with my own desires.&lt;/b&gt; It will be like the return of a dear friend  and that dear friend is YOU - the absolutely fabulous, eternally wonderful,  totally empowered YOU!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Raise Your Vibe.&lt;/b&gt; As you listen to these new, improved tapes, you raise  your vibrational frequency and gain access to more wisdom, joy and empowerment.  The higher the vibration, the more power, the more Life Force Energy you have at  your command. The most dramatic moments in Olympic history is spurred by the value of  perseverance among athletes. You can see runners suddenly fall because of a leg  cramp, then limp to the finish line to get the last place.&amp;nbsp;Perseverance will  mean working long hours and forgetting the pain to get to your goals. In life,  there are several challenges. Some of these can be very hard and push you to  want to quit. You have to get over the pain and temporary distractions and get  to your objectives, no matter what the cost is.&lt;br /&gt;

If you're looking at a reality you don't like, you may get  upset and insist, "I did NOT create THAT! I would NEVER have created THAT!"&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Well, according to the Law of Attraction, you ARE creating your own reality.  In fact, you're creating your reality all day every day with your thoughts and  feelings. The all-important question then becomes: Are you creating consciously  or are you creating by default?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The reality you perceive is a mirror reflecting back to you a picture of what  you're thinking and feeling. The good news is that, even if you don't  particularly like the picture you've created so far, you can begin immediately  to improve it. As you learn how to consciously create your own reality, it is no  longer necessary to accept unpleasant circumstances or settle for less than the  life you truly desire.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Because nothing is fixed and everything changes all the time, you can start  right now creating the reality you truly desire, building your life thought by  thought, as surely as a mason builds a house brick by brick. When you choose  thoughts that feel good, you manifest circumstances that feel good. Therefore,  consciously creating your own reality starts with directing your thoughts toward  what feels good.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As you make the connection between what you're thinking and feeling and  what's manifesting in your experience, you create from a place of confidence and  empowerment rather than from a place of doubt and fear.&lt;br /&gt;

Consciously creating your own reality is really just a matter of applying the  LOA principles you already know - perhaps with a new understanding - maybe in a  more purposeful way.&lt;br /&gt;

Here are some tips to help you design and create your life in accordance with  your own desires, to help you manifest more of what you want and less of what  you don't want: &lt;br /&gt;
• Make feeling good the most important thing.&lt;br /&gt;
• Notice how you feel and  choose thoughts that feel better.&lt;br /&gt;
• Find things to appreciate.&lt;br /&gt;
• Be as  present as possible.&lt;br /&gt;
• Be as happy as possible.&lt;br /&gt;
• Accept your inherent  worthiness.&lt;br /&gt;
• Maintain positive expectation.&lt;br /&gt;
• Listen for and take  inspired action toward your desire.&lt;br /&gt;
• Focus on what you want and why you want  it, letting go of how, where, when, and who.&lt;br /&gt;
• Hold fast to your dream even  when there's no physical evidence that it's happening.&lt;br /&gt;
• Change your  vibration rather than trying to change your circumstances.&lt;br /&gt;
• Have fun and  follow your bliss.&lt;br /&gt;
• Relax and trust that all is well and that everything is  unfolding perfectly.&lt;br /&gt;

If men were define according to  how they were in the past--wears pants, has places in high court, dominates over  everything especially female species, the hero and everything that would say  "macho" on them--well it's time to think it over.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Imagine there was a time warp somewhere during the time of King Arthur, what  would his men think if they entered this warp and find themselves in this  present day and age?  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For a girl it may be great to imagine a shock looking knight learning about  the existence of Lara Croft who seems manlier than her men. Then there are also  leaders who are women in countries like the Philippines. This is not a mere  spectacle of how women are beginning to know the meaning of "domination"; this  is merely stating the difference of women then and now. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There was this film based on the life of courtesan Veronica Franco entitled  Dangerous Beauty. She lived in the time when men hold the power and women are  but mere possessions. It was a time when even marriage was based on social  standings and not because of love. A woman was not free to be educated nor is  she free to be with the man she wishes to marry. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Women back then were once placed only for homes and chores. There are those  who simply can't even speak up their minds and are limited only to reading and  writing--no more than that. There were more taught on cooking, washing the  clothes, attending to the needs of the babes and knitting. During the scene when  Veronica Franco was to confess of her sins, she thus said something that really  gave an impact of why she chose to be a courtesan rather than marry someone from  her stature: "I confess I have embraced a whore's freedom over a wife's  obedience." &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Freedom--women back then had no freedom in totality. They were bounded  especially their decisions. The only ones who were considered lucky are those  who were born of aristocracy having said to have everything plus the fact that  the courtesans for their educations (although I am honestly not so sure whether  to consider them indeed lucky). Life then was limited for women unlike now. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We have seen it as the &lt;a href="https://www.backgroundpi.com/public-records.php"&gt;&lt;b&gt;public records&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt;  their achievements and 'till now it keeps on making us see even more--"Women in  power". They have grace and they have the determination to make it big in their  chosen field. There are not for stay-at-homes anymore as they become more of the  adventurous types who are ready to take on the world.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
One such femme persona to take note on is Filipina Formula 3 racecar driver  Gaby De La Merced. Car racing as we all know is just for men. These are also  considered as extreme sports yet this gal take things into her own accord. She  also plays soccer if you must know. The sporty look was always for the boys only  yet this is one girl who seems not to take things differently. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
They are now born to be anything they want to be. Women nowadays are not kept  inside shelters and under the supervision of men. Daughters are not bound  anymore by what their family decides for them. Public records show women to be  more daring and are game to try anything they set their eyes on. &lt;br /&gt;

Belief and expectation are emotions that add power to your desire. Belief and  expectation kick it up a notch, as Chef Emeril would say. Your thoughts and  feelings come from your beliefs about how life works. It all starts with your  belief system. If you believe the purpose of life is joy, your life will be  filled with joy. If you believe life is hard, it will be filled with hardship.  &lt;b&gt;To transform a mediocre life into a meteoric life, expand what you believe is  possible.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
What is a belief, anyway? &lt;b&gt;A belief is nothing more than a thought you keep  thinking, which means you can transform your beliefs by choosing different  thoughts.&lt;/b&gt; The feeling of empowerment is a practiced thought as is the  feeling of powerlessness. And you can change limiting beliefs to empowering  beliefs by choosing thoughts that feel good.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, if everything is determined by what you believe, &lt;b&gt;how do you get  yourself to believe something you don't currently believe?&lt;/b&gt; Start with a  clear, strong, passionate desire and talk yourself into believing you can have  it. Set your intentions. Employ the power of dreaming, imagining, and  visualizing. Start small. Start with something that you have less resistance  about. Keep taking the next step - I did this, so I bet I can do that. When you  have confidence in one area, keep building on that until you get yourself to  believe that &lt;b&gt;you CAN be and do and have whatever you desire.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
If you have believed that life is about limitations, lack, and struggle - if  you have been persuaded by others that life is hard and you can't really have  what you want - if you've been taught to settle, to accept less than you really  want, you can change all that. Repeat to yourself - I can do this. I can have  this. I can be this. I will not settle for less than I want.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Do you really believe you can attain your goal? If the answer is no or maybe  or I'm not sure, &lt;b&gt;use these three steps to amp up your belief and  expectation&lt;/b&gt; and convince yourself that it is possible for you to attain your  goal:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
(1) &lt;b&gt;Make a list of other things you have accomplished.&lt;/b&gt; For example,  the degree you earned; the project you completed at work; the house you bought;  the vacation you took; the spelling bee you won in 5th grade. This exercise will  help you get to the feeling, the vibration of success.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
(2) &lt;b&gt;Feel a strong desire to attain your goal. &lt;/b&gt;Get excited about it.  Strong desire amps up belief and expectation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
(3) &lt;b&gt;Make a list of the reasons why you deserve to attain your goal.  &lt;/b&gt;For example, because I want it, because I'm a good person, because other  people have it so why not me, because I've wanted it for such a long time. This  exercise will raise your belief that you deserve to attain your goal.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Life is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Your thoughts become beliefs and your  reality reflects back to you what you believe. By amping up your belief and  expectation, you expand what is possible for you. Decide absolutely that you  will attain your goal. Deeply desire it. Know you deserve it. &lt;b&gt;Believe it and  expect it and it is on its way to you.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

It is a medium of expression of one's  creativity. It conveys a whole lot of ideas and feelings. Art is a product of  human activity that stimulates the senses and evokes different types of  emotions. It is the mind's interpretation of what it perceives, and expresses it  in symbols, words, drawings, music, dance, plays, etc. It comes from the mind of  its creator. If art imitates life, and an expression of human activity, then art  can help us understand an individual's state of being through his works.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Some artists paint on canvasses while others find satisfaction in something  deeper: the art of inner healing. Artists who are knowledgeable about human  development, psychological theories, clinical practice, including spiritual,  multicultural and artistic traditions have discovered the healing potentials of  art. Art therapy is the therapeutic use of art by people who experience a  variety of challenges in life, such as stress and anxiety, emotional problems,  depression, illnesses, and other health conditions. It is also for people who  seek personal development and fulfillment.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Art creations and its processes increase self-awareness and the ability to  cope with struggles in living which include coping with symptoms, stress, and  traumatic experiences. Art therapy helps to enhance cognitive abilities and  provides life-affirming pleasures. In art therapy, creation may start with an  urge to make a doodle or sketch, or with a certain feeling, dreams, memories or  just a plain idea. The next step is to give it a physical form with the use of a  clay or paint or any tool one would like to use for his creation. This is a  creative play that provides a means to express something that has no word, or is  not yet understood. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are a number of reasons why people come to art therapy. Most people who  are grieving a loss of a loved one, undergoing depression, trauma, sexual abuse,  and drug or substance addiction find relief and courage through creative  expression. Others who are mending broken relationships, exploring their dreams,  or seeking for renewal and meaning in their lives have found the depth of art  therapy to be very helpful and effective. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Art therapy can provide a deep sense of safety as it becomes to be a trusted  place to consider these private images or expressions. Picture, sculptures and  other forms of art offer a kind of nourishment, healing insights, and a fresh  respect for one's creativity. There are people who prefer to work in silence.  But there are also times when a unique dialogue between a client and a therapist  takes place. The finished art work remains as a source of further reflection  after the session. For art therapy, creativity, its process and the experience  is given more emphasis than coming up with a beautiful product. A drawing of an  ugly picture can be an important expression. Just the act of picking up a crayon  and making a mark can be a powerful expression to some people who have not done  any art since grade school. Engaging in artworks can evoke feelings and relive  memories of those days  &lt;br /&gt;

Art therapists with proper training have also become professionals in the  field of aesthetics and therapy. They are experts about the healing potential of  art. They use art in treatment, assessment and research. They provide  consultations to allied health professionals and work with people of all ages,  individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities. Services are provided  individually or as part of clinical teams in different locations and settings  that include mental health, rehabilitation, medical and forensic institutions;  community outreach programs; wellness centers; schools; nursing homes; corporate  structures; open studios and independent practices. To experience and to regain  creativity can be empowering, as well as pleasurable.&amp;nbsp;Connecting creativity with  therapy greatly helps in exploring the struggles and challenges of daily normal  life.&lt;br /&gt;

Attitude is so important. It is probably the most important thing worth  talking about in all the self -help material you will come across. Why; because  attitude controls your mind which controls everything. It's what makes the  difference between a good athlete and a poor one; a successful entrepreneur or a  failure; a great artist/musician and a poor one. Hamilton, our author today was  no stranger to disability; he was two years old when he contracted a mysterious  illness that caused him to stop growing. He was misdiagnosed as having cystic  fibrosis and was told by doctors at one point that he had 6 months to live. Diet  and exercise cured the problem though Hamilton achieved only a height of 5 feet  2 inches in his life-time. He didn't allow disability to stop him. In 1981 '82  and '83 Scott Hamilton won the gold medal in the World Figure Skating  Championships, and won the gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But Hamilton is not the only example of men and women overcoming great  obstacles in their lives. There is Helen Keller, blind and deaf from a very  young age; President Abraham Lincoln who rose from being a bare foot poor boy  from Missouri, to becoming a self taught layer who eventually became our 16th  President of the United States. The list goes on and on of people defeating the  odds against them armed with simply a good attitude. A bad attitude can stop any  man or woman's dream. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What is the secret to attaining the great attitude we talk so much about? Art  Link letter said it this way: "Things turn out best for the people who make the  best out of the way things turn out." That is the magic formula and nothing more  or less. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
President Franklin D. Roosevelt campaigned from a wheel chair and won the  Presidential election in 1933. He served an unprecedented 4 terms in office from  1933-1945 serving as a handicapped person serving through some of the toughest  times our country has ever seem seen including the great depression and the 2nd  world war. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hamilton is right when he says the only disability is a bad attitude. A bad  attitude can prevent you from getting a job by acting poorly on a job interview,  it can break up marriages and drive a person to use street drugs or become  chemically Dependant. A bad attitude can keep a beaten house-wife to stay with  her brutal husband till he finally beats her to death; it can keep us all  imprisoned to our own bonds of self-limitation if we allow it. It makes us all  make bad choices in life which leads to nowhere and can make us penniless pawns  of society.&amp;nbsp;Having a bad attitude has a bad ending in store for all who choose  that road of self indulgence and self pity which is where a bad attitude always  leads in the end.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It is best to make the best of your life, what ever the cards are that you  were dealt, and put a smile on your face and brave the day, each and every new  day. Greet it with a good attitude and watch the difference it makes. Someone  once said life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you deal with it. That is  why having a good attitude is so important. Having a good attitude empowers you  and when you are empowered you can empower others you meet. Today give it a try  and put on that mask of a good attitude. Yes that's right, sometimes you will  have to fake it till you make but in the long run you will see that having a  good attitude will get easier and easier until is comes as second nature to you.  Today be empowered and decide to face your day with a good attitude! &lt;br /&gt;

In fact, according to a  Marketdata Enterprises market report, the U.S. self-improvement industry is  worth a staggering $9.6 billion. And while books, home remedies and audio tapes  might work for some, Judge Mathis, from the Judge Mathis TV Show, appears more  interested in helping others by providing them with education. &lt;br /&gt;

Mathis is the founder of the Self-Empowerment Expo, which he has hosted in  his hometown of Detroit, Michigan every year since its launch in 2002. He earns the trust and all-out support  of the people, whom he had helped before. He never runs out of help. He can do  anything with the plethora of people behind him. All because he knows he  maximizes his social potential! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
See, if you know your social skills and you make use of them, you will reach  self-empowerment. Self-empowerment is making a general overhaul in your life and  turning yourself into a happier and more successful person.If you can be one of  those people-persons, then I can't see any reason why you will not succeed. You  just have to know how to start. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Be genuine. &lt;br /&gt;
Hypocrisy will just bring you all the way down. Be genuinely nice and  interested to people. Once they perceive that you are Mr. Hypocrite with selfish  intentions, you might as well say goodbye to self-empowerment.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Be the greatest listener that you can be. &lt;br /&gt;
To earn the love and trust of the people, listen to their problems and  sympathize with them. Do not just hear them out, listen to them with your heart.  Make eye contact when the person talks to you. Listen as if every word matters,  and it does. Brownie points when they find out that there is a confidante in  you. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Laugh out loud. &lt;br /&gt;
I do not mean that you force yourself to laugh for every joke cracked by  someone, albeit you do not find it funny at all.This means finding humor in  things and not being too darn serious. A person oozing with an awesome sense of  humor attracts crowds and eventually, attracts success. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Don't forget yourself. &lt;br /&gt;
In the process of fluttering around like a social butterfly, you might forget  yourself, allowing everyone to push you over. Remember, love and value yourself  before anyone else. If you deem yourself respectable and worthy of affection,  people will flock to you and not trample on you. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Do random acts of kindness. &lt;br /&gt;
You don't have to do a John Rockefeller and blow your savings to charity.  Little acts of kindness matters the most, and this can be as simple as giving  someone a surprise you-take-care card or helping an elderly cross the street.  When we were kindergarten students, kindness was taught to us and greatly  practiced. Now is the time to revive the good deeds and this time, let them stay  for good. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6. Contact your old friends. &lt;br /&gt;
Sad how some friendships are destined to goodbye, but thanks to technology,  you can do something about it. Relive the good old days by flipping your  yearbook and look for the great people whom you want to communicate with again.  Adding these old friends to your roster of support peers will surely make you  feel good all over.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Develop your personality. &lt;br /&gt;
Are you grouchy, grumpy and generally morose? Whoa, you can't go through life  with those. Get rid of the bad traits and habits that perpetually hamper your  growth. And really, who wants a grouchy friend anyway?  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
8. Be confident. &lt;br /&gt;
Be able to stride to the other corner of the room and introduce yourself to  people with that winning smile of yours. Just remember: be confident, not  arrogant. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
9. Practice control. &lt;br /&gt;
When angry, don't snap at anyone. Never throw a tantrum. Stay calm and  collected. Be adult enough to take control of situation and transform your anger  into something more productive and passive. As soon as people think your anger  goes to volcanic proportions easily, they will find it hard to come to you. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
10. Keep nurturing your relationships. &lt;br /&gt;
Your relationship with your family, friends and significant others is too  precious that you must not neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with  them. Do things together. Happiness will never fly from your side as long as the  people who matter the most are close to you. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In the end, using people for self-empowerment means becoming a better and  more lovable person. It's a win-win situation: the people know they can turn to  you anytime and vice versa. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

This sends us on a spiraling journey downward as we begin  complaining and nourishing fear which is the enemy of faith.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="article_text cm_filter"&gt;&amp;nbsp; One key area in living a prosperous life is having an attitude of gratitude. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Let's take a look further into the definition of gratitude. Gratitude-State  of being grateful. Grateful-Thankful or appreciative. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Having an attitude of gratitude will provide the following benefits, not  necessarily in the order written. &lt;br /&gt;
Provides clear vision. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Allows free course for Father God to reward you. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Stops the cancer of murmuring and complaining in it's Tracks. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ignites the fire for an atmosphere of praise. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
An attitude of gratitude will render an altitude of Good success. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can take time to think of a few more. The word tells us in I Thess 5:18  to give thanks in everything. &lt;br /&gt;
Give thanks for your temple. God's gift to us is life what we do with it is  our gift to Him. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is not speaking of being thankful that you had an accident, being  thankful that you lost your job, being thankful that your children don't have  clothes or food to eat. No! It is speaking of an attitude of thankfulness,  gratitude and thereby praise. Let's put it this way, it may seem that you've  lost more than you imagined that you would at this time, however, an attitude of  gratitude would be thankful that you didn't lose it all. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Thanks in the greek means; eucharisteo (Yoo-khar-is-the'-o) to be grateful,  (act) to express gratitude (towards). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Live long and prosper with an attitude of gratitude. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Your attitude determines your altitude. &lt;br /&gt;

In particular, NLP hypnosis has been used to cure  phobias, overcome shyness, and even change lifelong bad habits like over-eating,  smoking, etc.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="article_text cm_filter"&gt;&amp;nbsp;  It's ironic then, that many NLP practitioner's don't recognize hypnosis in  the traditional sense. Richard Bandler, one of the pioneers of NLP, has been  quoted as saying there is no such thing as hypnosis in any formal sense. There  are only hypnotic states, and they are perfectly natural and common. For  example, everyone has experienced that feeling of "spacing out" when they're  bored or distracted. You may have also experienced driving from one location to  another and upon arriving at your destination not being able to remember much  about the trip. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What makes NLP "hypnosis" different from traditional hypnosis is that a  skilled NLP practitioner will use your own natural hypnotic states to your  advantage. This can be done by using a wide variety of techniques. &lt;br /&gt;

Because NLP hypnosis tends to use "covert" techniques, the client is usually  consciously unaware of the techniques being "used on them." A skilled NLP  practitioner can have a simple conversation with a client about their daily  routine and still affect remarkable changes at the unconscious level, resulting  in feelings of empowerment, optimism, motivation, greater mental focus and  awareness, and other positive attributes. In fact, it's not uncommon for a  client to leave an NLP hypnosis session feeling awesome about themselves,  without really being sure why! &lt;br /&gt;

But you don't necessarily have to go to the expense of seeing an NLP  practitioner to reap the benefits of NLP. There are MP3 and CD sessions  available online, covering a wide variety of issues ranging from overcoming  shyness to eating healthy. And while there are many different types of NLP  sessions available, they all tend to have one thing in common - misdirection.  NLP hypnosis very often draws the client's attention to one area, while covertly  making changes in another area. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The reason misdirection is often used in NLP hypnosis is to bypass the  clients conscious mind. If the NLP practitioner can get your conscious mind  focusing in one direction, it becomes easier to "slip in" embedded commands or  positive suggestions in another direction, bypassing the barrier of critical  thinking. This is the same technique that results in grown men getting up on  stage and barking like a dog at a stage hypnosis show.&lt;br /&gt;

You've probably seen famous NLP practitioner's such as Paul McKenna and  Darren Brown, both of whom are remarkably skilled in creating and using hypnotic  states. It may seem like a parlor trick, but the effects of NLP hypnosis are  real. This is one reason why more and more therapists, counselors and mental  health professionals are using NLP hypnosis to help clients make positive  changes and achieve goals. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

It isn't the right  time. I don't have enough money. I'll do it tomorrow. These are examples of  "excu-sease"-or the disease of excuses. I don't suffer from this disease because  I prefer to call my excuses "reasons"-making my excuses "legitimate excuses".  This is a true confession of a personal trainer that doesn't feel a dire love  for fitness 24 hours a day or an insatiable need to eat the driest whole grains  or celebrate the absence of pesticide on my green apple.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="article_text cm_filter"&gt;&amp;nbsp;  Although I have these faults as a personal trainer, I motivate myself to  exercise six days a week, eat whole grains -at least four servings a day, and  value the least chemically processed foods -we don't know the long term effects  on our body-though.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Why do I complete these tasks but am resilient to others? Why do I preach  healthy living, but am unwilling to floss each night? Ironically, the simplest  tasks in life take years before they are habit. These are my steps:  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step One: People remind me of my responsibility for action. These people  include, but are not limited to, my fiancé, my doctor, my father, my accountant  and others who share their unsolicited opinions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Two: I find justification  to continue not doing what I need to do (insert excuse here______________).  Usually, the excuses begin with the following exaggerated statements: "I am too  ....." or "I am very ...".&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Three: I complete the task, but in short spurts.  This step is an example of the "not completely giving in" or "I'll try just a  little and see what happens" syndromes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Four: I a.) realize the importance  of this action and institute it as part of my foundation of daily living or b.)  return to Step One.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Note 1: These steps take 1 day to 113 years to complete. Note 2: The oldest  man in the world, age 113, passed in late 2007. Considering the length of his  life, I hope he completed the steps for at least 1 task.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
With this being said, I began seeing my new dentist, Dr. Gamalinda, three  years ago. He explains the need to floss on each visit. In fact, his suggestions  are pleads. In the first 3 visits, Dr. Gamalinda asks me to floss once or twice  a week ( a modest request). Although I understand the health benefits of  flossing, I am unmotivated to floss. When I finally buy floss, place it in the  medicine cabinet, and look in the mirror, I think about flossing, but I still  haven't. I think "I'll just do it later"-which isn't realistic since jump in bed  after brushing my teeth-or "I don't have enough time"- even though flossing  takes approximately 2 out of the 1440 minutes in a day. I am a health  professional and I can't complete this healthy task for my body. Am I the only  one with this problem?  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Finally, I begin to floss-after a year. I don't know why I begin flossing but  have ever since. It doesn't make sense though. Why can't I motivate myself to  floss before that point? The answer may help me complete other tasks in my life  too. This story, for instance, should have been written four months ago.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If we knew what it takes to make this "mental click", would we achieve  greater things every day? The "mental click" is different for everyone and  requires observation and reflection. You must observe your faults and their  effects. What are your innate and fostered tendencies? Why are you impulsive?  Why do we turn right when we tell ourselves to turn left?  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Now, I need to figure out why I never listen to my wife. Author Bio: Maybe it  isn't my fault. It isn't the right time. I don't have enough money. I'll do it  tomorrow. These are examples of "excu-sease"-or the disease of excuses. I don't  suffer from this disease because I prefer to call my excuses "reasons"-making my  excuses "legitimate excuses". This is a true confession of a personal trainer  that doesn't feel a dire love for fitness 24 hours a day or an insatiable need  to eat the driest whole grains or celebrate the absence of pesticide on my green  apple.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Although I have these faults as a personal trainer, I motivate myself to  exercise six days a week, eat whole grains -at least four servings a day, and  value the least chemically processed foods -we don't know the long term effects  on our body-though.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Why do I complete these tasks but am resilient to others? Why do I preach  healthy living, but am unwilling to floss each night? Ironically, the simplest  tasks in life take years before they are habit. These are my steps:  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step One: People remind me of my responsibility for action. These people  include, but are not limited to, my fiancé, my doctor, my father, my accountant  and others who share their unsolicited opinions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Two: I find justification  to continue not doing what I need to do (insert excuse here______________).  Usually, the excuses begin with the following exaggerated statements: "I am too  ....." or "I am very ...".&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Three: I complete the task, but in short spurts.  This step is an example of the "not completely giving in" or "I'll try just a  little and see what happens" syndromes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Step Four: I a.) realize the importance  of this action and institute it as part of my foundation of daily living or b.)  return to Step One.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Note 1: These steps take 1 day to 113 years to complete. Note 2: The oldest  man in the world, age 113, passed in late 2007. Considering the length of his  life, I hope he completed the steps for at least 1 task.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
With this being said, I began seeing my new dentist, Dr. Gamalinda, three  years ago. He explains the need to floss on each visit. In fact, his suggestions  are pleads. In the first 3 visits, Dr. Gamalinda asks me to floss once or twice  a week ( a modest request). Although I understand the health benefits of  flossing, I am unmotivated to floss. When I finally buy floss, place it in the  medicine cabinet, and look in the mirror, I think about flossing, but I still  haven't. I think "I'll just do it later"-which isn't realistic since jump in bed  after brushing my teeth-or "I don't have enough time"- even though flossing  takes approximately 2 out of the 1440 minutes in a day. I am a health  professional and I can't complete this healthy task for my body. Am I the only  one with this problem?  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Finally, I begin to floss-after a year. I don't know why I begin flossing but  have ever since. It doesn't make sense though. Why can't I motivate myself to  floss before that point? The answer may help me complete other tasks in my life  too. This story, for instance, should have been written four months ago.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If we knew what it takes to make this "mental click", would we achieve  greater things every day? The "mental click" is different for everyone and  requires observation and reflection. You must observe your faults and their  effects. What are your innate and fostered tendencies? Why are you impulsive?  Why do we turn right when we tell ourselves to turn left?  &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Your Emotional Guidance System.&lt;/b&gt; Your Emotional Guidance System  lets you know if you're directing your life toward pain or toward pleasure. Like  a smoke detector beeping to warn you that its batteries are low, negative  emotion is an indication that your connection to Source Energy is weak, that  you're headed away from pleasure and toward pain. The purpose of emotion is to  give you feedback about the vibrational content of your thoughts. This is  crucial information because &lt;b&gt;the vibrational content of your thoughts  determines what you are attracting and creating.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The feedback we receive from our emotions is similar to the feedback we  get when we touch a hot stove. Although we appreciate the warning from a hot  stove, most of us have been trained to undervalue the information we receive  from our emotions. Negative emotion is a warning that redirection is in order -  that we're headed toward something we do not want. By referring to the Emotional  Guidance Scale below, you can determine your current vibration as well as your  dominant vibration:&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Chutes &amp;amp; Ladders.&lt;/b&gt; Do you remember the children's board game,  Chutes &amp;amp; Ladders? It applies perfectly to the Emotional Guidance Scale.  Imagine a ladder going up from the bottom of the scale and a chute coming down  from the top. Choose a positive thought and you climb the ladder. As you climb  the ladder, you feel more Well-Being. You're more empowered. You attract more of  what you want. Choose a negative thought and you slide down the chute. On your  way down, your connection to Source Energy is weakened. You feel powerless and  befuddled. You attract people and things you don't want in your life.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
With an understanding of your Emotional Guidance System, it becomes clear  when you choose a thought that zooms you up the ladder and just as clear when  you choose a thought that sends you down the chute. &lt;b&gt;Feel Good Thoughts are  ladders that raise your vibration just as Feel Bad Thoughts are chutes that  lower your vibration.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Climb the Ladder.&lt;/b&gt; To climb the ladder toward Empowerment and away  from Powerlessness, monitor how you feel, then choose a thought that feels  better. With a clear understanding of your Emotional Guidance System, when you  feel bad, you always have an option to feel better. You can always climb the  ladder by choosing a thought that takes you up the scale.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you get sideswiped by some event and take a fast ride down the chute,  the best response is to look for a ladder to climb back up on. Look for any  thought that feels better than where you are and deliberately guide your  thoughts toward what feels better. Each time you choose a thought that feels  even a little better, you climb up another rung of the emotional scale and soon  you will be back where you want to be. &lt;b&gt;When you hit bottom emotionally, you  can either freak out and pretend you're powerless OR you can take back your  power by choosing thoughts that feel better.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Just keep climbing the ladder and you'll be back in alignment - feeling  joyful, empowered, and appreciative. As you continue climbing the emotional  scale, you will enjoy the supreme confidence of knowing that you are truly the  Master Creator of your own Life! More Happiness? Have you  been working with the Law of Attraction but feel as if you've been put on hold?  If you are consciously aware that all power comes from within then reading this  article can help you take possession of that power in no time. Your clue to your  empowerment is embedded within these simple principles of manifestation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;All manifestation is based on consciousness. There should be no doubt in  your mind by now that substance takes form according to mental demand. Thought  is energy. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;All manifestation is the result of an accumulative consciousness or  repetition of an idea; the more active the thought, the more dynamic the energy.  &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Inability to manifest your ideal is the result of a scattered consciousness.  Focused thought (thought that is concentrated on a specific purpose) becomes  power. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;I'm not going to belabor the proven merit of the Law of  Attraction except to say this; when you think a thought, it is obligated by its  very nature to re-present itself in an object or condition which will correspond  with its origin. In other words, whatever you are giving your attention to you  are getting more of.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="body"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;
Nor am I going to expound the virtues of the conscious mind verses the  subconscious mind except to say this; in a nutshell, both the conscious mind and  subconscious mind play vital roles in your manifestations. However, unlike the  conscious mind that has both the ability and responsibility of choice, the  subconscious mind does not use reasoning to determine whether or not the  information it has been given is true or false, good or bad. It is a  non-discriminating sponge that absorbs all data it is being given. The  subconscious relies solely on the conscious mind to guard it from mistaken  impressions. If the conscious mind has not been vigilant in what it has been  taking in through its five senses, the subconscious mind is open to erroneous  suggestions that include fear, hatred, doubt, unworthiness and other negative  forces. It stands to reason then that if the subconscious mind has accepted  negative suggestions through what the conscious mind has been downloading, then  the surest way to change this is through powerful counter-suggestions, or  affirmations, that something else is true.&amp;nbsp;When a fresh intervening thought is  formulated by the conscious mind, the subconscious mind begins to accept this  new data as true. This is important because it is the subconscious mind that  interacts with the creative substance from which all form is derived. So when  new data is verbalized, heard, looked upon, acted upon and felt with frequency  the new story eventually overrides the old "truth" and now there is a new  "cause" (focused thought) to create new "effects" (manifestations). One can  easily surmise then that the deeper the roads that were heretofore embedded, the  more focused and frequent the overriding thought has to be in order to obtain a  new experience.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Simply put, the human mind likes to complicate things; and with this Law of  Attraction business we're sometimes like the kid in the candy store who can't  decide what candy we want. When we finally accept that we can have all things  and that there are a variety of different ways to help us maintain the focus of  what we are wanting, we often forget to do the very thing we need to do in order  to manifest our intentions, and that is to stay focused. Not only are our  desires scattered but so are the methods we are employing to maintain our  focus.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So let's get back on track. Success comes from a single intent repeated again  and again until it becomes habit of thought. That being said, I wonder what  would happen if you gave an earnest, concentrated effort for the next week? What  would happen if you committed your mind to a single thought being repeated over  and over, all day, everyday; if you let it be the prayer on your lips until it  crowds out all other thoughts from your mind? What if you willingly put all  fears, doubts, unworthiness and impatience on hold for just a week to  concentrate all your energy into this one single intention? Imagine the power  you would feel by the end of that week! Here is a suggested phrase:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
"I see myself as happy. I see myself empowered."&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since all things can be made manifest once you're in that place of joy and  empowerment it only makes sense to lock those in place first.&lt;br /&gt;
