My sisters kitchen BOOTH reveal

So here is where we are at with my sisters kitchen. My sister and her hubby bought my parents house years ago, and along with it, much of the DECOR...:) Including some Killer wallpaper that took us about a month to remove. The house is over 60 years old so you run into many issues with this age house. We actually started removing the wallpaper last year...and it stayed like that for ....A WHILE..... then my sister got the motivation again, and we started painting her cupboards...all the while the walls sat waiting....and waiting....Well the cupboards got painted.....(mostly..) and then the walls and trim. So FINALLY it was the fun part. Now mind you, we have been "collecting" our finds this whole time.

One of the first things to go up was this BRAND NEW, from Goodwill ,Pendant light. It was perfect for the Retro style Kitchen my sister was going for. You see the kitchen has a BOOTH. We grew up not at a Kitchen table, but at a Kitchen Booth. I can't tell you how many of our friends would come over

when we were kids; see the booth and go......

"COOL, you have a BOOTH!!" We thought

we were pretty awesome...:)

So being the impatient person I am, I decided that before we got to any of the decorating,

this was the first thing we needed to do...Directions said 15 minutes....?????

YEAH RIGHT.....and monkeys might fly outta my butt!!!

So here I am taking down the old BEAUTIFUL (I wish there was a sarcasm font) light.
This in itself was a pain....but after everything else..this ended up being the easy part. :)

Well after swearing in my head and under my breath and sweating like crazy, I decided to let my sister have a crack at it...The old bracket couldn't be used so we had to use the one from the new light, which of course did not fit with the fitting space that was allotted in the original light box..so after trying and trying to make a bunch of things work, we finally managed to puncture some more plaster and get just enough out to get the new fitting in. I finally got back on the table and got it to work...

Here is me finally getting those DANG screws lined up so I can see if it even works now !!!!

TA-DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea Haw!!!!! it works!!!!!

Now on to decorating....we had found these really cool vintage plates at Goodwill for 99 cents a piece.
They still had the Woolworth stickers on them. Don't they look great???? But don't get used to them...we only had them up temporarily and the flower plate on the left...(plastic by the way) fell and broke......WAHHHHH....No tears were shed, but we were both saddened...they looked perfect there...SOOOO If any of you know where we can find another plastic Woolworth Blue flower platter...I am sure my sister would love to talk to you..:)

We quickly got over our sorrow for the moment and got onto my sisters vinyl wall clock that we had gotten last year at Goodwill...These sold for 29 bucks originally and we got it for $9.99

So we got to putting up the numbers and all the other vinyl.....

and then "we put a bird on it"...:)

Don't they look cute perched on top of the back of the bench and above the light switch...(the light switch is a homework project my sister is suppose to be working on., she is going to cover it with scrap book paper)
SO THERE YOU GO!! That is what we have accomplished so far...Hopefully we will have more to show you soon when motivation hits us again..:) I hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL day!!

Peacock drop leaf table with homemade chalk paint

TA-DA!!!!! Here is the table I have finally finished!!

I don't know if you remember a month or so ago I got to go to this great estate sale where I got my grandmother clock and some other great goodies.

Well here is one; or I should say TWO of my goodies...You see these two pieces were from two different tables, So I got to create a MARRIAGE of the two pieces. The base had this funny little dowel piece to fit into but the hole on the top didn't fit. SOOOOOO,

Instead of trying to drill the hole bigger in the top. I just sawed that sucker right off the base. Kept it nice and flat and clean.

Then I flipped it over and used some liquid nails and screwed the base into the table top....A marriage made in heaven, if you ask me. Sometimes it takes a second chance to find true love...:)

Once the glue was dry, I got out a couple of my favorite OOPs paint samples from Lowes. There was a green and a blue. So I base coated the table in the blue and let it dry.

Then I used the now tried and true Homemade Chalk Paint recipe that you can find HERE

The next day when it was nice and dry, I drew on a simple little Peacock in pencil.

AND this is where the fun really started...I used my KRINK paint pens that are now a staple for me, and went to town. Once the paint had cured I got out my wax and started distressing the table.

This is when it came to me to distress the body of the bird down to the blue. I loved seeing the blue come through the green.

I even made sure his little tail feather hung over a little.

I also love how the wax really showcased the base detail on the table.

So now here she sits!! PRETTY AS A PEACOCK!!! I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Dumpster diving Bench Rescue Redo

I almost forgot about this little cutie. I finished her a few months ago and had put her in my booth and she had sold and that reminded me that I had never even posted on her...

This is what she looked like before. I got her on one of my many DUMPSTER DIVING rescue efforts.

Then I got to get out this awesome material that I had gotten at Goodwill for $3.99. I had no Idea what I was going to use it on at the time, I just knew that I loved the colors and design.

So I pulled off the old nasty cover that was on the old bench seat and recovered it and painted the legs with a light grayish brown. Sorry for the lack of pictures on that part...The kids were home while I was working on this project and they can be a tad bit distracting...(just a touch) and I thought I took a picture of the in between process, but when I sat down with the computer...alas.....there were none!! So like I tell my kids...."use your imagination" She turned out just beautiful and even sold before I could do a post. So double bonus!! VINTAGE BIKE "make the pace" end table redo

So I saw this great graphic featured over on THE GRAPHICS FAIRY last week and knew I had to use it on something....soon. I don't know what it was about it that I loved but it was just such a fun one. I had been in my garage prepping a bunch of stuff so that when the moment struck I would be able to just start painting.

Well, I came across this cute little end table that I had gotten at Goodwill for $2.99..and I just knew...this was the perfect one for it.
So I just used my printer to blow up the graphic and started using my carbon paper to transfer the image to the "key lime" paint job I had given the table...(sorry forgot to take pics of that...:)

Once it was transferred you know I got out my now favorite paint pen..KRINK marker...and just started drawing away. Just as and FYI

Once the paint pen had cured I gave it a good distressing to give it an even more vintage feel, and sprayed on a coat of poly.

Grandmother Clock reveal (wild and crazy granny clock)

Here she is!!! My BEAUTIFUL new to me Grandmother clock!!!

Just wondering how many of you remember her from when she was in the back of my truck with the rest of my estate sale haul!
I paid $25 for her and she was worth every penny.

Once I decided to start on her, I popped out the little pieces of moulding that held the glass in place. (the less taping I had to do the better and this work was much better than stupid taping...LOL)

Once the glass was out I covered her face with some paper. Now on the top here you can see that I had tested a gray on her. Since she was a GRANDMOTHER clock, I thought that would be to obvious!! I wanted her to be a crazy and wild granny clock!! So I picked a Bahama Sea color.

While the paint was drying I thought of another cool thing I could do.

I decided to class her up by doing the faux mercury glass around the edges. I sprayed the glass and the pendulum too.

Once she was dry, I found a really cool pattern in a magazine. It was only four of these shapes so I made a photo copy and kept copying and taping together until I got a grouping that would fit inside the clock. I used my transfer paper to transfer onto the back of the clock.

Here is where my new LOVE came in. Once I had painted the tear drops I outlined them in my blue Krink Paint Pen.

Then I distressed them, put the glass back in and was in love!!!

Here she is in all her glory. I would have better pictures but the sun has not shown here now for 3 days. So these will have to do. If I get some natural light tomorrow maybe I will add a few more. I hope you enjoyed this fun tutorial and my crazy and wild granny clock.

Walk through and impasto painting

Since I have been painting quite a bit, I thought I would show you a little walk through of how a quick impasto painting goes. I have a great book called Barron's Easel series acrylic painting It has been such a wonderful and helpful tool to keeping your skills up.

It has you do a quick sketch and gives you some basic guidelines on how to do the painting. I must say, that you do have to improvise and fall back on previous skill level to complete the way that it is shown in the picture, but fun none the less.

One of the reasons I love impasto is because it is usually a quick simple painting and you use your basic brush strokes to give the painting its effects instead of layers and layers on top of each other.

Once you follow through with the walk through you end up with a finished picture. Since it is a basic method book I do add my own knowledge to my painting to give it a more realistic look, but even for beginners, I think you would enjoy it.

I had a lot of fun with this painting and it really made me happy and enjoyed myself. It lets me go to my happy place! :)

"krink" paint pen, Graphics Fairy Vintage dress forms girls doll cabinet

Before I begin don't forget to enter my current giveaway for the $50 necklace from Doodles Jewels.

I am in LOVE with this adorable little doll clothes armoire that I got at Goodwill. When I got it, it looked like THIS!!!

Blech!!!! Someone had made this by hand with MDF. It was great construction, but it was not loved very much. It looked like a Grandpa or someone had made this and it never got used! So there it sat, waiting for me to make it into something BEAUTIFUL!!!

So this is when I took it into the garage and was going to SPRAY it, and found out I had a hole in the hose and my new hose needed a different fitting for the compressor and yada, yada, yada, Had to dump out my sprayer of which the paint had been strained and start brush painting. Just one of those days when you gotta roll with the punches.

So she got 2 coats of a nice pale pink and I waited for her to dry. Trying to figure out what I was going to do to her.

This is when I go to "the graphics fairy" for inspiration. She had these adorable antique dress forms. So I got out my carbon paper and stylus and started transferring them onto the front of the doors.

Once the image was transferred I got my OH SO FABULOUS "KRINK" PAINT PENS out and started painting the lines. Can I tell you how much I LOVE these paint pens. I am very lucky to have art catalogs so I get to see a bunch of different products that are not carried in Hobby Lobby or Michael's. I contacted the company asking if they would be willing to let me show the readers how well these work. I have seen numerous people complaining about there paint pens not being permanent. Well let me tell you. I have used these on 2 projects and could not be more excited at how well they work, and plus all the fun colors they have. Krink has been so cool, that they are even working with me to do a giveaway of this awesome product. (more information on that coming soon)

This took me about 2 minutes to draw on. If I had to hand paint this I can tell you it would have taken much much longer than that.

Then for the top I used the "freezer paper transfer" method. I printed another graphic off in reverse and laid it on the top and burnished it with a spoon to transfer it to the top.

When everything was dry I gave it all a good distressing with a sanding block to give it a more vintage feel.
I waxed right over the top of the dried Krink paint pen...nothing came off...Do you know how many of you have said that when you wax over your paint pens it comes off....Not this baby!! I was so excited...I had to spray lacquer on the top since that is ink jet printer ink. I knew that had to be protected. Can you even catch how freaking happy I was with the Krink Paint pens...LOL!!!! Simple minds simple pleasures I tell ya!!! :)

I am so excited at how well it turned out. My youngest loved it so much that it is now in her room. It sure as heck beats the old Plastic one she had. I hope enjoyed this fun tutorial, and don't forget to be on the lookout for my giveaway from Krink Markers. I can't wait either.

Here it is, for all of you that have been waiting to see.......:) IT IS DONE!!!!!!

This was my booth once I had gotten it painted with my lowly little sign sitting in it waiting to start moving in.

Here is the beginning of me trying to cram 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag!! LOL :) This booth move was enough to make me remember why I will never move from my house......:)

I am still working on lighting and keep rearranging things but it is really starting to come together!!!

Wouldn't you know it??? I leave and come home after finally getting everything situated and my French Sewing table and Homemade chalk paint chairs Sold. So now I have to go up in the morning and bring up more crap....errr, I mean stuff....:)

Thank you all so much for all of your support and for putting up with me talking about how tired I was..LOL!!! Now that this is done, I can get on to more projects...which are sitting and waiting in the garage...(not the hubby has mentioned it,4 billion times) Irritation is the spice of life...:)

French Sewing Table with 2 homemade Chalk paint Chairs

Yeah, I thought I didn't have a post for this morning...heee heee...OOOPPS!!!! Its Monday what can I say. I remembered I had done 2 chairs to go with my old Graphics Fairy Table that I had done. You can see that post HERE

I have had these old dining chairs that ended up getting left out over a summer rainstorm last summer. So that had seen better days. I have had the plans for painting them for awhile, but I just had to get up the gumption (meaning make my way back to the pile of waiting furniture in the shed)

You can see they were pretty bad from the rain. So I got out the ole HOME MADE CHALK PAINT recipe and used my favorite Ralph Lauren Espresso black brown color.

I used two thin coats just to make sure I got it covered and I didn't even need to sand it.

When it was dry I just used a dry cloth with some of the old white chalk paint residue and rubbed the chairs down, and the buffed them and distressed them with my wax. They are the perfect compliment to my little French drop leaf table. I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!!

DIY black and white giant Photo"canvas" with 2.99 print

So excited that I have seen a couple tutorials on how to do this yourself. I don't know who did the original, but I do know that Michell over at GIRL IN AIR
gave an awesome tutorial, with a couple of the others that I had seen. I had to have one of these for my living room. So I got online to my nearest STAPLES and uploaded my picture that I wanted. It was ready the next morning and only $2.99. Plus to add to that the guy at staples was so nice!! He was so complimentary of the picture. (it was funny that the pic was laying out and I went in my scrubby painting clothes and I told him I was looking for my print out and he had to double take that it was actually me in the picture...LOL)

So I got out my Styrofoam insulation board that I got at Home Depot for 10 bucks...I almost flew away in the parking lot; that thing was like a sail and I kinda bopped another customer that was walking through the door in the back with it...but oh well...I digress!!!! I laid it out in the garage and sprayed it with some adhesive spray that I already had for some other projects. laid it on and used a rolling pin to get it flat then used a razor blade and a straight edge to cut around it. Here is a little tip...peel the plastic off the back before you cut it.....I learned that one the hard way....Just sayin!!!! :)

When it was all glued down I got out my acrylic paints (remember spray paint will eat Styrofoam) and painted around the edges. I chose to mix a black and gray to match the tones on the picture.

When it was dry I sprayed it with Spray Modge podge....pretty much the best thing since sliced bread and peanut butter.....:)

and there it hangs in my living room!! I am in love...Now to quick clean up the mess before the hubby gets home. I am such a messy worker. Have a BEAUTIFUL day! I know I will when I get to wake up to this every morning!!

Roadside rescue Vanity chair makeover

TA-DA!!! Isn't she a BEAUTY!! .....But do you remember what she looked like before ????

This is how I found her on the side of the road!! NASTY!!! I got this from the same house that threw out my blue vanity roadside rescue, that you can see HERE.

So I started uncovering the old nasty old covering and used a leftover piece of material that I used on my Chalk Paint chair makeover chairs.

Then I used the homemade chalk paint recipe that you can find HERE

I love how it turned out finished it off with some distressing and waxing and it turned out wonderful. It fits perfect with my Huntley 3/4 vanity that I had refinished. You can see that tutorial HERE

Not too shabby for a free vanity stool huh??? So glad I grabbed that baby and put her back in the limelight!

Just wanted to quick put up a blog post to THANK all of you! Thank you so much for your inspiring and loving words. I have met so many BEAUTIFUL people on this ever changing journey and can't believe how I have been blessed more than I could ever imagine. So I thank you and LOVE you all!!!

Old door chalkboard Menu Board

I am loving Chalkboards right now. I think it goes back to my love of doodling on the chalkboard at school when I was a kid. The fun it was to draw whatever you wanted and wipe it away and start all over in a matter of seconds.. Well as you may remember I got to go to a great Estate Sale of a shop that was closing. Happened by chance to find out afterward that the shop was owned by a local artist named Corey Vanduinen . If you happen to stop by his facebook page, please let him know how talented he is. I couldn't believe when I got home and looked him up and realized this guy had installments in our national art competition that I check out every year; ARTPRIZE. Anywhoo, By the time I was able to get there, most of the items were sold. I did manage to get a few items as you can see from the back of my suburban! :) One of those items being this old door. I just loved the old patina of it. Years of love and wear made it too good to be thrown away.

So I thought, what a perfect door for a chalkboard. So I mixed up my homemade chalkboard paint recipe, which you can find HERE

and pulled up one of my favorite GRAPHICS FAIRY graphics and started by transferring part of the image onto my door.

Then I got out my black acrylic paint and painted it on, and Voila!!!! A cute little French Menu Chalkboard. I just love it!!

Free French Subway Art

I used the new PICASA download to invert colors and do all kinds of fun things to make this free printable French Subway art to match my colors. I had so much fun playing with all the different things it could do while I try and get used to the fact that PICNIC will be gone. I am happy with how easy this was to do.

Ella's dresser makeover

So here is the dresser I told you I did for Ella's room. I painted the above wood shelf to match the paint I had used on the dresser.

THIS is what it looked like BEFORE!!! HID- E - OUSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

But this is what I fell in love with!! The ornate handles and drawers.

But since the top was that faux wood laminate stuff, I went and got some of this stuff to rub on the top. That way it doesn't etch that shiny top that you will see it come through the paint. This takes that sheen off so that the paint sticks. I really was happy with how it worked.

Here is the dresser getting primed in the garage, before the snow started flying.

And here it is distressed and waxed with the mirror glass spray on the handles to give them a vintage look. I just love how it turned out and you can see the rest of ther room transformation HERE.

Ella's room reveal, furniture makeover and a painting

O.K. Her room is DONE!!! I should remind you that I started taping the ceiling for my daughter's room before I messed up my back. So since before Christmas her room has had blue tape edging half of her ceiling. Never once did she complain what a cluster bomb her room was. She just waited and waited and waited. So I had to paint the painting she wanted. I have a practice acrylic book and she saw this flower in it and wanted that painted for above her bed...So I did and she loved it....She told me she was spoiled when she saw it...It was so sweet and made the whole process worth it.

So now to the other stuff. Well she has had this shelf in her room since she was born. Nice heavy duty shelf but OAK., and this cute little bench that I had gotten at a garage sale years ago for $4.

When they were dry, they got a nice distressing and wax and waited to go back in her room.

Well she is my little artist and I knew she was gonna have an ART board, so I ran to Hobby Lobby and got some chip board letters and some scrapbooking paper and glued them on and cut them out.

Now this is my lifesaver. She has so many "PRETTIES" as we call them in our house; barrettes, ponytail's, earrings, bracelets..etc....I got one of these cute little organizers to hang on the back of her door.

Here is her dresser that I redid too...I will show the tutorial on that later.

Here is an old secretary that I had painted years ago, and it has always been in her room, but now it just POPs with the wall color. Last but not least her bed that I had gotten a couple of years ago at a garage sale and my painting in a goodwill frame that matched the bed perfect. I know this post is jumbly mumbly, but I am so tired and happy. So as I say to my kids...DEAL WITH IT....LOL!!! :) I hope you enjoyed this BIG project... Have a BEAUTIFUL day!

My new Blog Design and Facebook Design!!

Have you guys noticed anything different about me.????? No I haven't lost any weight (I WISH..:))

No I have not colored my hair! Can't you see those grays poking through????
I got a new BLOG design!! I also got a new FACEBOOK design, with a LANDING PAGE (didn't even know what that was until about a week ago) and a WELCOME PAGE when you "LIKE" my facebook page!
Now I know this is a DIY blog, but I had to swallow my pride and ask for help. I was trying to do this myself, like most things; but my Dad and my hubby's voice kept popping in my head..."jack of all trades-master of none"........ :) I know I probably could do it myself......EVENTUALLY.....but it NEVER would have turned out as BEAUTIFUL as this!!! So I put out an A.P.B. on Facebook and SOPHIA PHOTOGRAPHY & GRAPHIC DESIGN came to the rescue!!! I have known her since Kindergarten so it was really neat to have an old friend offer to do this. You will not be disappointed!!! You will not believe what she did with my stuff.

They are amazing!!! SOPHIA PHOTOGRAPHY & GRAPHIC DESIGN did all of these for me.
She made it so easy for me. I didn't cry or anything! I emailed her all the photos and she used her magic to meld them all together into something BEAUTIFUL.

more vintage bottles via the graphics fairy

Trying to get my booth ready for valentines day. I am not normally a VALENTINE decor person...until now....:)

I have had these great old bottles for a while now. I purchased them (crazy, normally I would never buy old used bottles..) at Goodwill. I fell in love with the colors and the shape of them. I didn't know what I was going to do with them until I came across this......

The ole GRAPHICS FAIRY to the rescue. Look at the great vintage label, with such subtle pinks and greens; perfect for the bottles. So I printed two of them off and modge podged them to the bottles. Took them to my booth and ......voila....perfect for my little valentine vignette. I just love the subtle romantic look of them.

Homemade Chalk Paint dining set

Wooo Hoooo!! Finally got this big project done. I finally got to finish the dining room table with 4 chairs.

I got a set of 4 chairs at Goodwill for only $14.99. But as you can see the fabric is ...how you say.......BLECH!!!!!!

So I ran to Hobby Lobby and got me some fun orange and cream fabric...I know its the Hot color, but I have always been an Orange girl...( I am a red head, what can I say) :)

So then much to my hubby's Chagrin, I had him help me get this table out of our shed. I have been Hoarding.......errrrr ummmm, SAVING it for a FEW months.....He was so HAPPY when the lovely neighbor gave this to us for doing a couple favors for her...(you should have heard his happy comments when he was helping me carry it home....What are you gonna do with this....where are you gonna put this...yada yada yada) :)

I got started sanding this beauty.....and as you can see from my pants....

I am so happy I have my respirator mask...can you imagine this dust in your nose...been there, done that...don't want to do it again..:)

So I sanded and sanded and got down to the layer I wanted...I didn't want to get completely bare, because I wanted it to have that old finish...

Once it was sanded, I dark stained it.

While that was drying I started on painting the chairs. I was so happy to discover 2nd Essence's recipe for homemade chalk paint.
She has been tweaking and tweaking and has come up with a great recipe....1/2 cup plaster of paris...1/2 cup hot water whisk those together and then add 1 1/2 cups of paints.
Make sure you stop over to Valerie's page and let her know how awesome it is that she did all this work.

It worked like a dream and was actually quite fun. Since it was a white I had to do 2 coats over the dark wood.

While those were drying I got to painting the legs of the table.

The fun part came in the morning when I got to use my clear wax to wax the chairs and re-attach the seats.

I can't believe these new ish chairs look like such old world look...

Same on the legs...Love how they have such an old Parisian look to them.

So excited to have finally finished such a big project.

While I was taking pics, I was trying to figure out if I could keep it...but I need two more chairs....so my Husband lucked out...............................................................THIS TIME!!

Valentines decor faux mercury glass frames

While talking to some other bloggers about how to decorate for valentines day for my booth a couple of the ladies came up with some good ideas. Since this is not usually a Holiday I decorate for I was at a loss except for all the stuff the kids make at school.

Well thanks to their suggestions I came up with a fun little decoration. They had said to buy some vintage silver frames and put vintage decor in them. Well our thrift stores don't get than nice of frames in so I figured I would have to make some of my own. I got my Krylon mirror spray and some plain black frames and gave them a couple coats with it. I like how it didn't stick to all of the frame giving it a distressed vintage feel. I love how it made them look like the mercury glass style.

I then found these cute valentines printable's from THE GRAPHICS FAIRY and Miss Cutiepie Inspiration. I just printed them off and put them in the frames.

They turned out so cute and simple and gave a nice vintage Valentine feel to my mantle.

ARTWORK FOR SUICIDE AWARENESS AUCTION

So as some of you know, it has been a difficult week here at our house. The new year was starting out great and working on things when everything came to a halt. Our dear friend was here helping us with a garage furnace that he GAVE us (he is so kind and generous) when he got a tragic and horrific call. His brother had committed suicide. They didn't know where he was. In a moment our friend knew. He knew right where his brother would have gone. As he raced off we all just reeled. Nobody knew what to do, what happened and we more than anything were worried about our friend. All the things going through your mind and to have to be the person who has to see what he had to see. You feel so helpless. All we could do was pray and pray and pray. As the day went on your mind races and you struggle with how you can help. Besides praying you wring your hands and walk in circles. The constant need to help that we all feel. Well after a day or so my chance to help came along. Besides making a meal and listening to him talk and cry and praying for God to comfort his heart and mind; now there was some little thing that I could do. A mutual friend of the family had gone through this before. They had started the Todd Waite legacy foundation for suicide awareness . They just happened to be doing an auction and were looking for donations to keep the foundation going. FINALLY another way to feel like I could help. I could do a painting to be donated. No Picasso, I used what I could to come up with something fitting. You see our friends brother was a hunter, and we all know hunters love to sit in the woods and wait. I also know how much hunters love that first snow to track. I thought how perfect to make a forest of white birches with the first snow starting to fall. So here it is. In Memory of CHAD KING for my dear sweet friends Keith and Michelle. I love you and I hurt for you. I hope in some little way you can see your brother sitting in the woods waiting for that buck to cross his path.

French Tray revamp

Happy 2nd day of January!! I hope you all had a BEAUTIFUL and wonderful New Years. We had fun with the kids and some friends.
Ate way too much junk, and had a tummy ache for the New Year...So it was like every year...:) A tradition I always stick too...:)

So with the whole back thing, I have had to subdue some of my projects.

My M.I.L. had gotten this tray for me at Goodwill. She saw it and said, its cute but I know you can do something to make it cuter. So while I was going stir crazy from all the forced relaxation I had to endure; I went in to my CRAP room , errrrr Craft room and got one of my favorite graphics from THE GRAPHICS FAIRY

I got out my carbon paper and traced on the graphic. I then took my black acrylic paint and painted it on. When it was dry I lightly distressed it and gave it a quick coat of poly.

Now I have a nice little Parisian tray that took about 20 minutes and didn't require any heavy lifting...:)
