Yes, yes, Mom always said it was the most important meal of the day, but there has since been a lot of science to back up the old adage. Eating a good breakfast will make you a better, more efficient thinker during the day. And it’s not just about increasing your brainpower. Eating breakfast makes you healthier.

All that and more can be found in this clever, food-filled infographic about breakfast from OnlineColleges.net. If you didn’t eat breakfast today, perhaps a look at some statistics can convince you to try it tomorrow. Most importantly, nearly all Americans know that they should eat breakfast. But, still, most of us don’t care. (We can be a stubborn people, it’s true.) In fact, fewer than half of us consume the day’s most important meal.

And why, exactly, should we all eat breakfast? Well, it’s pretty simple: Your brain needs nutrients to function. Making it wait until lunch makes it not work at full power. We all understand this (which is why we know we should eat breakfast), but it can be hard to implement. Here’s some science to help change your behavior:

Χρυσή Αυγή: Αίμα από Έλληνες μόνο για Έλληνες

"Αίμα ελληνικό και μόνο για Έλληνες ήθελαν να διαθέσουν Χρυσαυγίτες σε δημόσια νοσοκομεία οι οποίοι άλλωστε έχουν ανακοινώσει ότι δημιουργούν Τράπεζα Αίματος αποκλειστικά για Έλληνες.

Παρόλα αυτά, φαίνεται να λογάριαζαν... χωρίς τον ξενοδόχο, όπως αποκάλυψε ρεπορτάζ του iatropedia.gr.

Μέλη της Χρυσής Αυγής με ειδική αφίσα καλούσαν τους πολίτες να δώσουν αίμα αποκλειστικά για Έλληνες στην περιοχή της Λούτσας.

Τα τελευταία 24ωρα όμως, όπως αναφέρουν πληροφορίες που επικαλείται το ρεπορτάζ, μέλη της οργάνωσης επιχείρησαν να δώσουν αίμα στο Νοσοκομείο Σωτηρία δηλώνοντας ωστόσο ότι προορίζεται μόνο για Έλληνες ασθενείς.

Μπροστά στη φημολογία αυτή ο Διοικητής του Νοσοκομείο Γιάννης Στεφάνου ενημέρωσε όλες τις υπηρεσίες ότι τέτοιου είδους διακρίσεις δεν μπορούν να γίνουν και δε θα γίνουν στο νοσοκομείο.

Ο ίδιος μάλιστα τοποθετήθηκε χαρακτηριστικά: "Δηλώνω κατηγορηματικά πως τηρείται ότι ισχύει για όλους τους αιμοδότες. Όλοι δίνουν αίμα με τους διεθνείς κανόνες και αυτό διατίθεται σε κάθε ασθενή που έχει ανάγκη ανεξάρτητα από φυλή, χρώμα και κόμμα. Δεν δεχόμαστε καμία παρέμβαση"."

"...Εν τω μεταξύ, δύο Ιταλοί δήμαρχοι, ο Μάρκο Γκάλντι της κωμόπολης Κάβα Ντέι Τιρένι, έξω από το Σαλέρνο της Νότιας Ιταλίας και ο Τζοβάνι Μοσκατιέλο της Μπαρονίσι αποφάσισαν χωριστά να προσφέρουν το μισθό τους (1.100 και 780 ευρώ αντίστοιχα) για τη στήριξη του ελληνικού λαού.

Η καταβολή του μισθού του Γκάλντι υπέρ της Ελλάδας θα ξεκινήσει από αυτόν τον μήνα. Στην επιστολή του, ο Ιταλός δήμαρχος αναφέρει:

Why are you happy? (or why aren't you?)

I watched this really interresting talk today:

It made a lot of sense and has potentially explained why most people are finding it easier moving on / feeling happier after loosing something they wanted / or not getting what they wanted.

However some find it hard to find happiness. Being too ambitious is meant to be a good thing but does it come with a price?

I would like to know your opinion on this. Do you agree with what is said in the talk? Can you relate to one group or the other?
