I have not been to this blog lately as I was busy with a lot of things lately. One is that I became so hooked with the quota I was trying to reach. All other money making sites interest me and I am checking them out to see whether joining is good.

Today as I try to check my site URL, it gave me a message that this blog has detected a Malware and I couldn't view my site. I tried to clear my cookies and cache and rebooted the computer. It still gave me the same message and it was saying that one of the site I have on my blog appears to host a malicious software that can hurt my computer or otherwise operate without my consent. Since it specifically pinpointed which of the site is causing such problem, I instantly deleted it from my widget. Thank goodness it's gone and my blog is showing up again!

It's pissing me off

I really get pissed off when Internet becomes intermittent. It was just fixed two days ago but I kept losing the connection. Sometimes for two hours, sometimes for 30 minutes or less. I don't think we deserve to get this kind of service when we are paying on time. What really sucks is their customer service that can't even help me resolve the connection.

We came into decision that we are gonna try subscribing to another ISP. But since we might get busy this week, I guess the latest we can apply for a permanent disconnection to our current ISP and an application to the new one will be next month or by December.

Internet is back, finally!

Yes I was happy about it. I got by without the Internet but it really made my days a bit boring. And I have to really catch up on a lot of things. I have read few pages of a book. I've watched some funny movies. Bad Teacher and Mr. Popper's Penguin were both really funny. I enjoyed watching these two flicks and had my brother and mom watched it as well today. I realized that night I had watched 3 movies trying to forget the boredom of not being connected. I've seen Friends with Benefits too. The film was actually not something that I can relate to but I find it funny and I was happy that they end up with each other.

I am back to being busy with my stuff online. And right now I am also into deciding whether to really stop playing CityVille. I am really hating having to complete quests.

Still no Internet

I already wrote about my Internet connection problem right. It actually took this long for me to realize that my Adobe Reader only works when there’s Internet. I’m so dumb right. I never realize I won’t be able to use it now that I really need to use it. Uhhmmmm, I really wanted to read some of the books now. But too bad I can’t. So the next thing to do is find out a Reader that’s useful even when I’m offline. It was working before even when I have no Internet. I guess Reader X must have overwrite it. :(

My network provider sucks big time. They’re giving me a big headache and a lot of catching up to do. I reported about the problem to both technical and accounts. I am just so surprised when the customer service agent told me it was scheduled for inspection after 4 days. Wow, 4 days is surely a long time. And adding it all up means 5 days without Internet. Too bad!

Right now I am thinking what to do, hmmmm I’m thinking of watching Mr. Popper’s Penguin later, I still have a lot of movies on queue. If I really got bored I’ll be watching it.

There was no internet the whole day. My online activities were stopped too. I can’t work and my earnings for today just got wasted. I spent the whole afternoon watching movies. Time Traveler’s Wife has been in my laptop for two years but it was only today that I got the chance to see the movie.

Since I got busy with the whole internet thingy I find it hard giving time for myself to watch movies at home. The movie made me cry, it was really touching and so sad. I would not wish to be in her shoes. As Henry told the lines… No, don’t wait for me, I wouldn’t want you to spend the you’re rest of your life waiting, and saw his wife’s eyes…. Aaaahhhh it broke my heart!

Well then, wiping the tears… we then watched a thriller entitle Dream House. It’s Daniel Craig’s latest flick. It’s also a sad movie, it was good too. It’s just that some of the lines and images weren’t so clear coz once again mom bought a pirated DVD. And I swear I’m gonna download a good copy of it and watch it again.

Leaving my Farm

Before switching off the lappy last night, I decided to once again try sending an application to Adsense for one blog I am maintaining. Remember I am not able to run Adsense here anymore because of change of address issues. Today I was surprised to see a mail from Adsense informing me that I can now put on ads but will still be subjected for review. Although it was not yet fully approved, I have at least half a reason to celebrate! Yey!

My online activities are piling up already. Every now and then I get to discover worthy sites to work on. This is the reason I decided to lessen my Facebook games. Previously I was thinking that quitting the usual activities I have on Facebook is a really tough move to make. But nope, I've proven it is actually not. It's just up to us how we motivate ourselves to stop the nonsense games. ^^

I have been addicted to Facebook on those times I was dealing with difficulties in my life. It was one of the reason I got by and still happy despite the tough events of my life. Anyway, I already stopped playing Farm Ville last month. I bet my long time game buddies will be surprise not seeing me posts anything about the game.

However, I am still having these little doubts coz I did not actually remove the application from my account. Would it mean I'd go back into playing once I feel bored again? Oh well xxxx

Satan's buddy

I can't believe I have to write his name. Satan.

It was the name and the word I normally thought of whenever people seems so monstrous towards others. Who would not refer to them as Satan if they have taken away innocent lives of people who never actually did them wrong. These people (the victims) might have a lot of good missions to share in the world but their life was cut short because of such evilness and senseless killing that was done to them.

Up to now, I have never heard or even seen any reports in the news about the murder and rape that had happened in our town last year. The area was a bit far from my place, but it was near a friend's house. The mom who was running an internet cafe was killed with multiple stabs all over her body. Her young 12-year old daughter was also killed in her room. She was found at a backward position with legs twisted in a way you can't imagine how it has been done. Worst, she was as well raped.

A lot of these cases has been shown in TV news and printed on newspapers. Some were solved and criminals were found. Some were left unsolved. Until again I saw another news the other day. The recent one was a 3rd year college student from UP Los Baños in Laguna. I feel really bad and devastated with what happened to this poor kid. She was only 16-years old. Had her life not taken away by this monstrous rapist/murderers she would have so much to contribute in the world. I really feel sorry for her family to lose her in such a tragic way. Putting these criminals behind bars won't give her life back. But everyone will be satisfied to see them suffer inside the jail. As I read the papers today, it was said that one of the criminals was already in the hands of the authority while the other is still at large.

These are some reason why mum would not let me out so late even with a friend. The world nowadays has become so scary and filled with bad people.

Let's just be extra careful when outside, and try to avoid walking out alone in late evenings.

I heard that most of the Malls in the city and some provinces actually have an on-going Mall Sale. We've really planned shopping today (Friday) coz there will be a lot of shoppers on weekends. So we headed to the Mall soon as we had our lunch. I was surprised at the sight of a long queue at the Mall Entrance. Yet I guess that's better rather than having someone inside carrying a gun without everyone noticing it. Malls should really tighten their security and check each people entering the Mall. I'm pretty sure that these malls will be filled with so much people this weekend.

This is what mum was waiting for ^^ .... SALE!!! This is normally the time she gets to buy a new shirt for her. She was also still searching for new pants but she could not find something she really likes that has a reasonable price and comfortable to wear. She ended up buying shirts again. I just noticed that Surplus Shop looks neat and classy now, and I think the clothes were a lot more better than the previous ones they sell. We bought some stuff and decided to eat at Burger King again -- because I love free Sundae!!!

Sick again

I was having sore throat last week. I was thinking it was maybe because of a cold or a cough. Took some tablets for some days and luckily it went away.

However, just last night I was feeling the same thing. I took one tablet for cough, and another for cold. I was trying to guess again if either of these two will work. I really don't want the pain it brings. Three years ago I have been sick for over a week because of this. That's why I am not wishing for it to come back.

Since the tabs I took in the afternoon both did not work. I tried to take Erythromycin two hours ago. I still did not feel any improvement and the pain is still there. I know, one tablet isn't enough for this to go! I just wished I won't be sick like before. This is giving me a hard time swallowing, I have to close my eyes trying to ease out the pain.

Older bro supposed to reformat and install OS and applications to younger bro's lappy. However, his tools I guess we're already corrupted and he has no time doing it anymore as he already have work last night. He will not be at home for a week again and younger bro is itching to use his lappy. So we decided to head at a nearby Computer Sales and Services shop.

We learned that reformatting and installing OS and all other applications are worth P500. Went to some places for necessary things we have to take care of and later had some snacks at Jollibee. I tried the new hash brown burger... it's taste is okay but its crispiness seems a little hard.

Mum and bro went back to the shop before 7PM to get the lappy. Finally he has his own laptop to use again with a new 500GB hard disk. Hope he takes good care of his lappy now!

It was just yesterday when I was so bothered I might not be able to use my laptop for some time. My brother has his new hard disk and will eventually use his laptop adapter that I was using for almost a year. We asked a couple of shops at that Mall yesterday and there seems no hope buying a new one that instantly. I opted on buying a universal adapter but there was no stock of the same watts. We tried the HP shop, there was no stock available too and it's on order basis so we have to wait for two to three weeks. And, when we asked how much it cost, the sales guy said it cost P5,500. Whoah! That's really expensive for an adapter. Somehow, I expected it would really be costly, one of the reason why I opted to use his laptop adapter instead of inquiring on its price last year.

Yesterday morning, I tried calling the HP service center. I found the number on the website but I was eventually transferred to Technical Support in India. I was talking with an Indian guy and told him I just needed to be transferred on HP Parts Sales in Manila. Good thing was he's really helpful and gave me the exact number. However, I wasn't so lucky speaking to any sales agent as they were all having their lunch break. And we were about to leave home yesterday, too. So I wasn't able to call back.

Today was my chance. It is my last option to check whether there is any difference on the adapter's cost. I finally spoke with someone and was really surprised to know that the cost from them is way lower than that in the mall.

We decided to go and find the building after almost two hours in the bus. My gawd the bus really bored me to hell, we should have taken the other bus! After reaching one stop, rode another bus, walked a little and finally saw the building. And voilah! I got a new adapter! No more using bro's adapter. I've got mine now!

P 1,550.95 as compared to P 5,500.00. Yeap, you read it right! The adapter's cost is P1,550.95 only. Though the lady told me it cost over P7,000 before and last month it was around P3,500. And the cost fluctuates every now and then, according to her. So I must be a little lucky getting it for a lesser cost. I guess that's because they have a lot on stock now.

Last year when I was asking for a laptop adapter in different malls, there was one sales guy who advised me to go in that same building we went to today, as they were the only HP Service Center in Manila and one who can give me the proper adapter for my laptop. I wasn't so interested before because I still have my brother's adapter at that time. Maybe those times it might be really expensive.

As soon as necessary documents and receipts were given to us, we hailed a cab and went to the Mall we went at yesterday. Ate our early dinner at Max's Restaurant around 4:30PM LoL! And older brother bought a new microwave oven for their rented apartment.

We were busy for two straight days... tomorrow's gonna be a busy one too...

I Badly Need an Adapter!

The day was spent outside once more. My brother asked me to come with him to our dear alma mater. He needs to request for his TOR (transcript of records). It was a little late when they woke me up so I rushed into the shower and tried to dress up quickly. I really wanted to sleep some more but what can I do I have to go with him.

We were in a hurry going to school coz it was nearly lunch break. So when we reached the school, I went straight to Accounting department without noticing that there was a queue in both Accounting and Cashier window. Since some of the staff inside knew me, they entertained me, gave the signature clearance and receipt. It was fast! I guess, in less than 15 minutes we're already on our way home.

Soon after we had our lunch at home, we decided to get a new internal hard drive for my younger brother. But there were only few computer stores open in this mall, the others have been closed for some time. I heard that renovations are on going on those closed areas to construct an "IT Corner." Those computer stores will all be transferred there as soon as this corner's done. That was when we decided to leave the mall and go to another mall instead.

So we catch another bus, get down the bus, hailed a taxi and reached this mall. This mall surely has a lot of computer stores. We purchased a new Seagate hard drive and have it installed in his laptop. He finally have a new hard drive yey! But I ended up having li'l problem now :( I was using his laptop adapter since the time his hard disk stopped working. Consequently, those times my laptop adapter gave up working too hence I used his adapter. So now, I've to look for adapter and purchase a new one too. Hope to get a new one at the soonest.

Since we already had lunch but felt a li'l hungry, we decided to just grab some snacks at Burger King to eat along with our Bibingkinitan. Earlier we bought two boxes of it. One to eat there and another one to take home. Hmmm... I think we were really hungry that we weren't able to take snaps of our burgers =) I had Honey Mustard Chicken Burger. It comes with the usual drinks and fries with a free Strawberry Sundae (I really wish they never ran out of choco flavors)

Seems odd, eating burger and bibingka =) I am so full until the evening but we still had to eat something so we won't have to get up at night feeling hungry... we bought grilled chicken and eat it without rice. We have to watch what we eat now coz we all are gaining weight!

I have been seeing the word myLot on the internet for quite some time. I have no clue what was it. I thought it was only a directory listing. I have never thought of researching what it was until yesterday when I was trying to search for ways on increasing my blog traffic. Since I have already completed my browsing routine today, I finally found the time to check out what's in myLot.

Browsing the site, I learned that myLot is something that I would enjoy using. It is basically a social networking community. You can create forum, participate on discussions, link up your blog (might help increasing traffic), and earn dollars doing those things I mentioned.

This is something I thought of giving a try. I am fond of joining forums and reading interesting topics. So, I registered. Let's see whether it will also be beneficial for me.

Just A Little Unwell

Yesterday was not a good day. I've got a very bad headache. Cold. Cough. Body pain. Fever and chills last night. I had to go to bed early. But I was not able to have a good sleep. Every now and then I am awake. Feeling my head aching.

Still sick in the morning. And after taking medications, I felt a bit better. But those uneasy feeling and slight headache's still there. Mum was feeling the same thing too. Both of us are taking meds. We really hate getting sick!

The co-founder and former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, died October 5th at the age of 56. I've read in some reports that he was battling from pancreatic cancer for 7 years. However, some blogs I read stated that he was diagnosed with this health problem only in 2008.

Steve Jobs is one of the great innovators of technology. From Mac computer, iPod, iPad and iPhone. It was August 2011 when I saw news about his resignation as CEO of Apple but still remained as the Chairman of the company's board. At that time I have no single idea about his reason for leaving Apple. I just thought he wanted to leave and maybe setup another company or a new brand. Til I saw his name that morning trending on Twitter and was shocked to see why.

I guess all that we can say is Thanks Steve! You have changed everyone's lives in ways we never have imagined. You showed us everything there is to know about life and the world,
with a light touch and the soft slide of the fingers across the screen. The product of your brilliance shared to people all over the world shall always be remembered. Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. Condolence to the world he created.

Words With Friends

I was hooked to a new game on Facebook. Words With Friends, a challenging mind game that is, for me, pretty engaging. Zynga finally made my brains work with this game, unlike with the other games I've been playing =) Words With Friends is very similar to Scrabble but way better because it's the one that can be played online and played with a lot of people using iPad, iPhone and through Facebook. I have tried the online Scrabble about a year ago but it was not worth my time, there were very less players.

Words With Friends is instantly becoming popular on Facebook because of Zynga's endorsements, incorporating it with other popular Zynga games. What's like-able about this game is that it don't require you to play in one sitting and you can play multiple games at once. You can make moves whenever you like and continue the game when you have the time to sit down and access the game again.

If no friends are playing with you, why not initiate the invite?!?

You can play this game with friends or search for random opponents.Even if your friends are not into such mind game, it can still give you some random stranger to play this game with. Cool, eh?

You can also chat with your opponent!
This is one tough game! It even made my unknown opponent message me with his/her remarks. However, I'm only leading the score board with 7-points, still unsure whether to win or not. Hence, I told my opponent he's gonna win. The game is still on-going as of this writing.

I Just Lost My Long Entry!

Thank goodness I was able to sleep earlier last night! At 11PM I was really feeling drowsy but could not get my hands off the lappy. When at last I've finish every thing I had to do with blogging and gaming, I went to bed and did not find it hard to sleep. Maybe because I got really tired.

Sh** I lost what I just wrote!!! So, I have to start it all over again. For now, this is the only thing I can post!

Just Another Day Outside

Today was a bit tiring. I slept at 4AM ~~(was it still proper to call it last night?)~~ and woke up before 9AM. I was fast asleep when I heard mum screaming out loud telling me to get up coz we're going to Mall.

It's pretty tough opening my eyes up, I wanted some more sleep but they keep buggin' me. I poured half a cup of coffee and drank it fast to wake me up a little more. Then went straight to the shower. Finally I am so awake! I find it little painful putting on my contact lenses too whenever I've got less sleep.

We went to the mall, eat something, walk a lot, shop a little. Wow I felt so tired. I am sitting in front of my lappy now and feeling very exhausted. We did enjoyed taking a break 'though =)

Hope to sleep more tonight, I need my energy back!

Strange Stranger

Mum and I went to the bank the other day. Just before heading back home we decided to grab a munch at McDonald's to feed our hungry worms. Before queuing at the counter we first went inside the washroom. Then mum decides to order while I went and find us a table.

As I sat waiting for mum, I heard a low voice of a guy from behind me asking "Are you from xxxx?" And again says the same words as I turned my head to realize it was me he was asking those questions. I thought of asking him again coz for a moment my mind went blank. His questions weren't
so hard at all but suddenly I could not grasp the words to answer him. He then explained that I looked so familiar, asked for my name and where I'm working and if that's my mum I'm with.Then suddenly walks away when mum came.

Honestly, I got a bit scared. Okay, I am paranoid... the feeling of suddenly getting scared and went blank was because while I was answering his queries half of my mind was thinking that it might be a tactic of these guys. Well you can't blame me coz lately I've been seeing news in the TV with incidents at restaurants and shops where vicious people are acting up like they're good guys.

Mum asked me who that guy was and what was he up to. She says she already noticed that guy looking at me or us when we entered McDonalds, the washroom and while we are looking for vacant seats. I noticed him only that time when my eyes got so busy searching for unoccupied seats.

As I was telling my mum what this stranger asked me and what I suddenly felt at that moment, I realized that I was not having anything in my pocket nor a bag with phones and wallet in it. I left my fones at home, not a single penny is with me too. Literally, I was sitting there with nothing. Just a plastic bag where mum kept one unimportant thing and an umbrella. So if the guy was a bad guy, he was just wasting his time on me. HeeHee.

New Blogger Interface

Yay! This is awesome! Have you also noticed and tried Blogger's new interface?

At first I thought it was there for sometime and may have overlooked it. But switching back to the old interface is a message that somehow gives me the impression that it was just new.

Thanks for trying the updated interface. Before you switch back, please give us feedback so we can continue to improve your experience with Blogger's new interface.

The new interface comes with a dashboard that seems to have that Wordpress look. But what amazes me is the Stats tab. Aside from the usual visitor tracking, it also displays the browser and OS your audience uses. I care less for such thing but I found it somehow amazing.

Blogger is starting to be a bit 'user friendly' these days. I love that they have a space for Adsense and giving it a name 'Earnings' on the dashboard makes a quick link on checking Ads' earnings. It as well informs bloggers (mostly new ones) that they can monetize on Adsense. What saddens me still is the fact that I would not be able to activate my already closed Adsense account when they have already made Adsense easily accessible when blogging. Changing addresses (country in particular) is really a big headache! So, be warned newbies.

I suddenly wonder... What if I setup a new blogger account with of course a new blog title and transfer all my posts there... will Adsense approve my new account application? I doubt, applying for Adsense nowadays is too tough! Before I forgot -- thanks Blogger for finally considering adding ~~Strikethrough~~ in font style options!

In totality, my overall rating for Blogger's new Interface is 8. Good luck Blogger. Hope to see more amazing improvements!

2+ Years

I realized that it's over two years since I last posted an entry here! I have been contemplating for a year now whether it would be better to just delete this blog forever or keep it and write something whenever I want to...

I made it before as an outlet to keep myself busy when there's no work to do in the office. Instead of just staring at the monitor or chatting with colleagues, I've chosen to read and blog hop, create my own journal and write. It's actually fun and I have learned a lot of things through people's own experiences, get updated with the current news back home just by reading blogs.

I only thought of deleting it when I got frustrated with Adsense. When I was not in my country, I haven't got much time to learn how Adsense really work. If you have seen this blog before Ads are just everywhere and I have even linked a website I don't even own.

Now that I kinda have a "profound" knowledge on Adsense, I then tried to change my country since I am no longer in that part of that country where I used to be. I SHOULD change my country otherwise I won't get the earnings (if I have earnings, lol). I don't even thought of blogging for money before. I just want those Ads and widgets on my blog. Those are what I consider bling bling on my site, LoL! Such stupidity huh! Beside those stupidities, two other reasons why I never thought of that was, I just don't know how (another dumb reason ^^) and I have limited Internet access there.

Now, that I have at least shoo away some stupidity and I've got 24/7 access to the Internet, then I am considering blogging for money or maybe just putting network ads. I might not earn lotsa moolahs but the fact that I might earn at least... that's just enough reason for me to consider it ^^

So now that I've already considered it, at the same time I then decided to permanently close my Adsense. There is no way I could put it back here because of the change of country issues. They won't allow it. I have to make a new gmail account and I guess a new blog if I want a new Adsense account which, by the way, takes a loooooong time before you get an approval. A friend hasn't got her approval until now, it's already a year when she applied for an account.

Hence, I have searched for an Adsense alternative. I might start squeezing the codes in here to run the ads as soon as I got plenty of time for it. Dinner's waiting for me. So gotta go for now!

Bad!

My last update is July '08...!?!?! My bawd!

Lately, I'm feelin' kinda lazy. Well yeah I have two blogs (!!!) and both were left behind. Well at least I have updated the other one although not on a daily basis.

I'm feeling sick for a week now. I don't know how to cure this irritation and pain I had in my throat. I can't eat much. We attended a dhow cruise birthday party and am certain I was the only guest who didn't enjoyed the celebration. Foods are looking really yummy but
I had to eat only ONE dish. I swear I can't easily swallow any food even drinks. I have to satisfy myself drinking H2O for 3 hours of cruisin' and just salivate on that icy pineapple juice and delicious dishes served for me.

I've been taking cough syrup, antibiotics, strepsils, and even tried erythromycin. But nothing's change... Although I was not feeling feverish now, the pain is still there and it sucks!!! I have to get well!!! Fully well!!!

I won''t be going to office tomorrow but still need to get my ass out of my now orange-sheeted bed by 5:30am. I am actually going to the Philippine Consulate to have myself register in OWWA. Papuch will pick us up around 7:30am and since I am kinda slow 5:30 is really gonna be my alarm time. I do hope I won't get too lazy getting up this early. And really do hope I can fix myself quickly.

After the registration and everything, we might watch the film Mama Mia! I actually won a movie pass for this flick and a Mama Mia pink-strapped white beach bag. Hooray! ^^

How did I won these things? It's just one ordinary Thursday morning when I decided to get myself a copy of Xpress 4 Me newspaper in the building reception. I read and scanned the whole paper then noticed the movie contest. I thought there's nothing bad trying to join coz all I need to do is answer one simple question, write down personal details, cut the contest form and fax it to the number provided. When I turned the paper to the next page, I was surprised to see two more movie contest. So I also joined haha! I was actually hoping to win in either The Dark Knight or Angelina Jolie's new movie Wanted. I remember telling my mates I don't like seeing Mama Mia. Surprisingly, I won in that one!

Since I haven't been in a theather for I guess 6 long months now, I can't let it pass. I have free pass for two. It's not bad to see the film either ('though I said I don't wanna watch it ^^ ), which is why we'll be seeing the movie tomorrow!

I'll be uploading the pics if I'm not busy for you to have a glimpse of that simple but cutie beach bag. TeeHee!

It's getting late again.. I'll try to regularly blog... Uhmmm well... We'll see...
