I saw these cute wedding cake toppers today, while I was doing some research on the wedding industry. One of the cake toppers was picture frame and it had a picture of the bride and groom. I thought it was pretty unique, since 99% of the cake toppers I have seen on wedding cakes are the typical plastic bride and groom standing there that is so generic and so boring. On The other hand I have seen some of those plastic ones look more personalized, like having it look like the bride and groom. Another I saw that I liked had the name of the bride and groom with the date and it was engraved in a glass block with a pretty purple color.

Disney Vacations

Normally this time of year people start thinking about taking a vacation. Many people choose to look in to Disney vacations as that is one of the most popular vacation destination. But I wonder how many people are actually going on vacation this year, with the economy and all many people just don't have the extra money. Some people are cashing in their vacation times and using the money instead to pay bills. Are you taking a vacation this year or are you cashing in your time and taking the money to do other things?

criminal justice degree

When I was younger I wanted to be a lawyer or something in law enforcement. My dream was to get a criminal justice degree maybe become a forensic scientist. I have always loved that field and maybe that is why I am into the crime dramas on TV like the csi's, law and orders etc... I never did pursue that road, I guess life took me in another direction. Someone told me that is was never to late to pursue that route if I still wanted to and they sent me information on Northwestern College.

Northwestern College offers degrees in criminal justice. One of the great things about this school is that you can take the courses online and at your own schedule and pace. I saw that they were offering associate degrees, but I wonder if you have an associates already could you get a bachelors in criminal justice?

I was looking it over and there are many careers you can have after getting a degree take a look.

Homeland Security
Court clerk
Juvenile justice
Family services
I am pretty sure there are many more careers, I was reading that this sector is expected to continue to rise and that there will be many jobs opened in this field. It maybe something to think about if you are thinking about changing careers or if you are in high school and you are thinking about what you want to be when you are done with schooling. As for me I am happy with the path I have chosen and will continue the way I have been.

Digital Frames

I have been thinking about buying a digital frame from some time now. I like the idea of having a frame that changes pictures and you can show off as much as your memory card will hold. But at the same time some of these frames can be a bit pricey.I guess I will wait and see if I come across a digital frame that is at a good price then I will snatch one up, who knows if the price is really good I may just buy multiples.

Bad cold

Have you ever had a bad cold or flu so bad that you can't eat? My house is full of germs its seems like everyone has some sort of bug, cold, stomach virus etc..... I am so ready to be done with all of this. 2 of my kids has some sort of stomach bug it was at the point that they didn't even want to eat, what ever the bug was, was bad enough to be its own appetite suppressant. They are both better now and have gone back to school. They still have a little cough here and there. I on the other hand caught a cold from my little one. He still has to learn to cover his mouth and not cough or sneeze in your face. So that is what I have been dealing with these last few days.

Now that the Olympics have been on they have moved all the shows or they are not even showing any shows. I don't mean to be a party pooper, but not everyone is into the Olympics. I just have not found any fun in watching it, to me its rather boring. I have tried a few times to sit and watch it, but I just can't, I wind up changing the channel. Is it just me? Are you into the Olympics? I mean it got so bad the other day with nothing on T.V that I was actually watching a program that was talking about the best weight loss pills. I just turned the T.V off and listened to music.

I was helping my friend the other day look for an online school, she is thinking about going back to school to pursue a degree in business. We came across Western Governors University that is offering everything she is looking for. She is thinking about signing up with them to get her

Oh no snow

One of the main reasons why I left New York is to get away from the cold and snow. Now here we are in North Carolina waiting for a snow storm, its not the first time we got snow since I moved here and I am pretty sure its not the last. It has also been cold here lately and it is surprising. I guess as my husbands says to much messing around in space, that makes me laugh when he says that. I guess I will look in to some Orlando vacations and dream about the warm weather there and wish it was here!

Your Dog As Security

If you are looking into different home security systems, the best security is your dog. Do you agree with this statement? Do you feel that mans best friend can be the best security you can have? Or do you feel that there is more to it than just having a dog? I am not sure what I think about that statement right now. I mean there are some very good guard dogs, but on the other hand can you just rely on a dog or can you just rely on a security system? I don't feel that either choices are fool proof, but that's just my opinion. What do you think? Chime in and leave your thoughts.

Okay so you want to get some fitness equipment, but you don't want to spend a whole lot. What do you do? Go second hand, that's right buy second hand. There are many people who are looking to get rid of their equipment right now because they either changed their minds or they need the room. You can easily get a good deal, better yet if you are luckily enough you can even get it for free, if you belong to these recycle groups. Its worth looking into if you want to save some money.

Most people are still trying to save money and the economy does not look like its going to get better anytime soon. One thing I have noticed that when people are looking to cut back on their expenses they don't think about looking into their car insurance. That's right you can save money on your car insurance if you shop around. You probably didn't think about that too. There are many places you can get free quotes one place is called carinsurancelist.

Another way you can try and save on your insurance is to ask the company you have now to lower your rates. You can simply tell them that you are thinking about shopping around for a lower rate, but you wanted to see what they can do for you first. They don't want to lose you as a customer and if they know you are going to go elsewhere if you find better terms will have them thinking about the money they will lose if you walk. It's worth a try and if they don't want to lower their rates then maybe you should really look elsewhere.

Treating Mesothelioma

I saw a commercial the other day with this lady who lost her husband to Mesothelioma and because of that she came out with book or guide to help others in her situation. From what I have learned they have various mesothelioma treatments, like with many other Cancers, but the truth being told many people die from this, it's like pancreatic Cancer there are few survivors. These forms of Cancer are very serious and deadly the survival rate is really low. I don't understand why though. Why are the survival rates for these Cancers so low versus other forms of Cancer?

I have been looking into getting an extended warranty for my minivan. I have seen a few commercials for a few companies, while I have been looking into these companies like mogi and the like I found goodsamesp.com. While I have not done any research on them yet and I am thinking about checking them out as well for a free quote, then I will compare the companies to see who has a better price for me. There was another company I saw a commercial for but I can't remember their name, I am hoping to see the commercial again so I can do a comparison with them as well. Do any of you have a company you recommend?

Freezing pipes

Have you ever had a problem with freezing pipes? I have a few times and it is really a pain. I found out that when you know the temperature is going to drop below freezing you can turn on your faucets over night and they will not freeze. You really don't need to turn on more then one in my opinion and you don't need to have it on full blast either, a little drip will work as well. Just as long as you keep the water running through the pipes.

Pimples on your back

I was watching this show on cable where the girl in the story kept getting pimples on her back. The girl thought that she was just going through an acne problem and began looking for body acne treatment creams. After a few months she noticed it was getting worse, so she went to the doctor. Come to find out she was not having acne problem at all, it was something more serious. It shows how something you think is so simple can turn out to be more then you thought.

There was a story about a girl who had acne scars and she was looking for a doctor who offered acne scar removal, instead she came across a product that claimed it can remove the scars. She ordered the product and began to put it on her face. Suddenly she began to feel a burning sensation, so she immediately poured cold water all over her face. When she looked in the mirror she noticed that her skin began to peel and she had to go to the emergency room to be treated for burns. I don't know if this story is true or just a rumor, but I know one thing is for sure I will not buy any kind of medications or remedies unless I speak to my doctor!
