Gigawing 2, versione giapponese, completo di tutto...e ora rimangono solo due titoli (Gunbird 2 e Twinkle star stripes per completare la collezione shmups per Dreamcast!

Rally alternativo

Rallycross; il gioco di Rally che mi ha divertito più di tutti in multiplayer.
Sicuramente non eccellente sotto il profilo tecnico ma davvero spassosissimo come giocabilità.
Rallycross fù un'esclusiva per la play 1 e fù pubblicato nel 1997.
Recentemente, nel 2007 è stato riproposto sul psn per psp e ps3.
Il gioco prova a riproporre la discipline del Rallycoross (una variante dei classici Rally) tanto in voga in UK.
Il punto forte di questo gioco è sicuramente il multiplayer da fare con gli amici (2 giocatori o 4 se muniti di multitap), dove ci si disintegra a vicenda fino al traguardo :).
il gioco fuà distribuito e pubblicato da Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA).

Rallycross, I think it is my favourite racing multiplayer game on PS1.
Definitely it is not very good technically but it is really nice as gameplay.
Rallycross was an exclusive release for PlayStation 1 and was published in 1997.
Recently, it was reintroduced in 2007 on psn for psp and ps3.
The game tries to reproduce the Rallycross disciplines (a variant of the classic Rally) so popular in the UK.
The strong point of this game is for sure the multiplayer with 2 friends or 4 players if uoy have a multitap, where you can destroy each other to the finish:).
The game was distributed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA).

La mia collezione Hd dvd è finita

Rieccomi dopo un bel pò di tempo....
Pubblico la mia collezione hddvd completa.
In questo ultimo anno mi sono procurato gli ultimi titoli che mi interessavano (sono arrivato a quota 125) ed ho cambiato il lettore, procurandomi un toshiba XE1, il miglior lettore hddvd di sempre!
Ora procederò solo con la collezione bluray, ma amo ed ho amato questo formato! HDDVD Rulez

Sono ancora qui – I’m still here

Rieccomi dopo una pausa durata mesi....il blog non è morto....ma davvero ultimamente il tempo per scrivere è pari a zero...è un periodo molto intenso tra lavoro, studio e vita “sociale”.
Chiedo quindi scusa se sono stato poco presente ma non mi sono dimenticato del mio piccolo blog.
Ci tengo a ringraziare Hellciccio che anche se non ho scritto per mesi si è tenuto in contatto con me...grazie mille mitico 
Adesso magari con la fine dell’estate avrò un filino di tempo in più per dedicare qualche oretta ad uno dei miei passatempi storici.

Aggiornamento natalizio della mia collezione Dreamcast.
Piccolo ma importante.
Come hardware ho recuperato una Memory 4X nuova completa di tutto.
Come software invece ho recuperato Street fighter 3rd strike per arricchire la mia collezione di picchiaduro 2d capcom e Bangaioh per arricchire la collezione shmups!
Entrambi sono completi di spine card.

Dopo il tutorial scritto qui sul blog qualche giorno fà ecco anche il video sulla sostituzione della connettore 72 pin e della pulizia del connettore che ho messo su youtube, le spiegazioni sono in un inglese molto primitivo, ma scusate, è il meglio che posso fare :)

Stop Blinking!!!!!

Il Nes è una console storica e a mio avviso fantastica!
Io lo uso tutt'oggi nonostante abbia praticamente la mia età, e non mi ha mai tradito...
L'unica cosa che capita sporadicamente è il fenomeno del blinking...cioè che vi lampeggia la lucina rossa all'accensione e che quindi non vi partono i giochi.
La soluzione consiste nel sostiruire il connettore a 72 pin perchè un pò con la sporcizia e un pò con il tempo si ossida innescando malfunzionamenti nella lettura della cartuccia inserita.
Qui di seguito proverò ad illustrarvi con una piccola guida come sostituire il connettore 72 pin con uno nuovo (facilmente reperibili sulla baia ;)) e anche come pulire il connettore sulla scheda madre (se sostituite solo il connettore 72 pin fate un lavoro a metà ;) ).

The NES console is a fantastic historical and in my opinion!
I use it so far despite having almost my age, and I have never betrayed ...
The only thing that happens occasionally is the blinking problem.
The solution is to excange the old 72-pin connector with one new beacuse the old connector is dirty and maybe a bit oxidizes triggering malfunctions in the reading of the cartridge inserted.
Below I will try to explain with a little guide how to replace the 72-pin connector with one new (you can found it easily on ebay;)) and also how to clean the connector on the motherboard (if you replace the 72 pin connector only you'll do just an half job; )).

Gli oggetti necessari per questa piccola riparazione sono davvero pochi:
The necessary objects for this small repairs are very few:

- Connettore 72 pin nuovo (72 pins connector replacement)
- Cacciavite a stella (screwdriver)
- Spray apposito per contatti elettrici (electronic cleaner spray)
- Panno che non lasci peluzzi appropiate cleaning drape

ATTENZIONE: La sostituzione del connettore a 72 pin è molto semplice e veloce e non richiede lo smontaggio della scheda madre del NES.
Ritengo però utile una volta che si sostituisce il connettore a 72 pin con uno nuovo, pulire accuratamente anche il connettore presente sulla scheda madre e per questo motivo, nel tutorial, ho illustrato anche come smontare la scheda per agevolare le operazioni di pulizia durante la sostituzione del connettore 72pin.
CAUTION: The replacement of the 72-pin connector is very simple and fast and does not require dismantling of the NES motherboard.
But I do feel good once you replace the 72-pin connector with a new, clean also the connector on the motherboard and that is why, in the tutorial, I also explained how to disassemble the motherboard from the console to facilitate cleaning when changing the 72pin connector.

PASSO 1

Operando sul lato inferiore del Nes, svitare e togliere le sei viti di fissaggio indicate in figura.
Working from the bottom of the Nes, unscrew and remove the six screws shown in the figure.

PASSO 2

Separare la base dal coperchio superiore e appoggiarla su un piano per agevolare le operazioni.
Separate base and top cover and place the base on a plan to facilitate the operations.

PASSO 3

Svitare e togliere le sette viti di fissaggio indicate in figura.
Unscrew and remove the seven screws shown in the figure.

PASSO 4

Rimuovere il coperchio.
Remove the cover.

PASSO 5

Operando su entrambi i lati, svitare e togliere le tre viti di fissaggio (due corte ed una lunga per lato).
Working on both sides, unscrew and remove the three screws (two short and one long per side).

PASSO 6

Sfilare il carrello cartuccia
Remove the cartridge tray.

PASSO 7

Svitare e togliere le due viti di fissaggio indicate in figura.
Unscrew and remove the two screws shown in the figure.

PASSO 8

Sollevare e ribaltare la scheda madre e scollegare i connettori indicati in figura.

Lift and turn the motherboard and disconnect the connectors indicated in the figure.

PASSO 9

Sfilare il telaietto inferiore per accedere agevolemente al connettore 72 pin.
Remove the lower frame for an easy access to 72-pin connector.

PASSO 10

Sfilare il connettore 72 pin.
Remove the 72 pin connector.

PASSO 11

Molto probabilmente il connettore della scheda madre sarà ossidato o sporco.
Probably the connector on the motherboard will be oxidized or dirty.

PASSO 12

Pulire, con delicatezza senza rovinare i contatti, utilizzando un panno appropiato che non lasci residui e lo spray apposito per contatti (silicon spray), il connettore della scheda madre fino ad ottenere un risultato simile a quello mostrato in figura.
Clean, gently, without damaging the contacts, using an appropiate cleaning drape and a specific electronic cleaning spray the connector on the motherboard to obtain a result similar to that shown.

PASSO 13

Prendere il connetore 72 pin nuovo.
Take the new 72-pin Connector.

PASSO 14

Inserire il nuovo connettore 72 pin sulla scheda madre.
Insert the new 72-pin connector on the motherboard.

PASSO 15

Posizionare il telaietto inferiore.
Place the bottom frame.

PASSO 16

Collegare i connettori precedentemente scollegati.
Connect the connectors were disconnected.

PASSO 17

Ribaltare la scheda madre ed inserirla in sede, come mostrato in figura.
Turn over the motherboard and put it in place, as shown in the figure.

PASSO 18

Serrare le due viti di fissaggio indicate in figura.
Tighten the two screws shown in figure.

PASSO 19

Inserire il carrello cartuccia nel connettore 72 pin e incastrare il labbro inferiore del carrello sotto la scheda madre.
Insert the tray into the new 72-pin connector and make attention to snap the lower lip of the tray under the motherboard.

PASSO 20

Operando su entrambi i lati avvitare moderatamente le tre viti di fissaggio indicate in figura, ricordandosi delle diverse lunghezze delle viti.
Man mano che si avvita provare il meccanismo del carrello cartuccia e serrare fino a quando si ottiene un perfetto funzionamento di incastro del carrello.

PASSO 21

Posizionare il coperchietto superiore.
Position the upper cover.

PASSO 22

Serrare le sette viti di fissaggio coperchietto indicate in figura.
Tighten the seven cover mounting screws shown in the figure.

PASSO 23

Posizionare la base inferiore completa sul coperchio console.
Place the base on the console cover.

PASSO 24

Serrare le sei viti indicate in figura

XBOX - JET SET RADIO FUTURE

Funky videoludico su xbox

Dedico questo post al successore di uno dei giochi più innovativi che uscirono sul Dreamcast: Jet set radio.
Il seguito di cui parleremo fù rilasciato da Sega nel 2002 in esclusiva su Xbox con il nome di Jet set radio future.
Il gioco fù sviluppato da Smilebit e divenne subito uno dei simboli del massiccio supporto che sega diede alla console microsoft tanto da essere venduto anche in bundle con la console assieme a Sega GT 2002.
Dico subito che non ci sono grandi rivoluzioni rispetto al primo titolo uscito su Dreamcast se non per l’aspetto tecnico (sia audio che video) un po’ migliorato grazie anche all’hardware della scatola nera microsoft.
Come nel primo episodio, la grafica era caratterizzata da un cel/shading estremamente “funky” che si accoppiava divinamente con la curatissima colonna sonora.
La giocabilità rimane bene o male la stessa, con il nostro personaggio che lotta con la polizia contro ogni impedimento alla libertà di espressione e contro le altre gang rivali in vari contesti ed ambienti.
Ci sono infatti vari personaggi con cui interagire e molte zone della futuristica Tokyo in cui dovremo aggirare ostacoli con salti e acrobazie varie, ovviamente, sempre armati di bomboletta spray per i graffiti!
Alcune volte ammetto che non badavo molto alla missione, ma vagavo in giro senza uno scopo per gustarmi la colonna sonora veramente d’impatto e orecchiabile, soprattutto per un appassionato della musica elettronica come me!
Consiglio questo titolo a tutti quelli che hanno amato il predecessore e a tutti quelli che hanno voglia di provare un titolo/una saga un po’ fuori dal coro, pensando anche che ai tempi in cui usci, con jet set radio prima, e col future poi, portò uno stile tutto nuovo, originalissimo, immediato e coinvolgente.
Posso sicuramente dire che è uno di quei titoli per cui vale la pena avere un’xbox primo modello visto che è stato rilasciato in esclusiva per questa console.
E se magari potete, provate anche il primo capitolo sulla magnifica Dreamcast (prima o poi dedicherò un post anche al primo capitolo ;) ).

I dedicate this post to the successor of one of the most innovative games that came out on Dreamcast: Jet Set Radio.
The following was released by Sega exclusively on Xbox in 2002 under the name of Jet Set Radio Future.
The game was developed by Smilebit and immediately became a symbol of the massive support they gave to the microsoft console, enough to be sold in a bundle with the console along with Sega GT 2002.
I must say that there are no great revolutions from the first title released on Dreamcast if not for the technical aspect (both audio and video) a little 'thanks to the improved hardware of the black box of MS.
As in the first episode, the graphic was characterized by a very “funky” cell / shading which is coupled with the well-kept divinely soundtrack.
The gameplay remains the same, with our character that fights with the police against any obstacle to freedom of expression and against the other rival gangs in different contexts and environments.
Indeed, there are various characters to interact with the futuristic Tokyo and many areas in which we work around obstacles with various jumps and stunts, and of course, always armed with spray paint!
Sometimes I admit that I wasn’t interested about the mission, but I wandered around aimlessly for enjoying the music that it is very catchy and impact, especially for a fan of electronic music like me!
I recommend this title to all those who loved its predecessor and all those who want to try a title / saga a bit 'outside the box, thinking that even in the days when doors, with jet set radio first, and then with the future brought a whole new style, original, immediate and engaging.
I can definitely say it's one of those titles that is requiring to have an old xbox on our collection since it was released exclusively for this console.
If you can, try also the first great chapter on Dreamcast (sooner or later I will devote a chapter to the first post too;)).

PS3 - LITTLE BIG PLANET

Originalità su ps3

Un titolo che mi ha sicuramente colpito di questa “Next gen” è sicuramente Little Big Planet, una piccolo gioiello di originalità.
Annunciato nel 2007, sviluppato da Media Molecule, è stato pubblicato in esclusiva per ps3 nel 2008 su tutti i mercati (ottobre per quanto riguarda il mercato americano e giapponese e novembre per il mercato europeo ed australiano) da Sony stessa.
Tecnicamente parlando il gioco ha una grafica molto gradevole e gli effetti sonori sono molto azzeccati e di buona fattura.
Il gioco ci mette al comando del “Sackboy/Sackgirl”, simpaticissimo pupazzino di pezza che potremmo configurare e modificare a nostro piacimento con gli oggetti che raccogliamo nello svolgimento del gioco durante la modalità storia o che scarichiamo dal psn.
Lo story mode comprende ben otto mondi da esplorare:
1. i Giardini
2. la Savana
3. il Matrimonio
4. il Canyon
5. la Metropoli
6. le Isole
7. i Templi
8. la Natura selvaggia
All’interno di questi mondi ci sono numerosi ostacoli da superare e per affrontarli al meglio dovremo interagire nel migliore dei modi con gli oggetti (anche strutturali) del gioco e dovremo cercare di raccogliere più oggetti possibile da utilizzare poi sul nostro Sackboy/Sackgirl per personalizzarlo come più ci piace.
Il Sackboy/Sackgirl può correre, afferrare oggetti di vario tipo, fare salti normali e salti “super” ed inoltre può attivare il popit per accedere alle varie opzioni di gioco (che possono cambiare a seconda della modalità di gioco che stiamo provando).
Bisogna analizzare molto bene i livelli per raggiungere tutti gli oggetti e per completare al 100% la sezione di gioco.
Molta importanza è stata data alla “gravità” perché in questo gioco è riprodotta molto bene e moltissime azioni sono legate alle caratteristiche di questa legge fisica.
Oltre alla modalità storia, è presente la modalità editor che permette di crearci dei mondi a nostro piacimento che potremo poi utilizzare sia in modalità offline che in modalità online, permettendo anche ad altri giocatori di provare i mondi da noi creati ed ovviamente anche noi potremo provare i mondi fatti dagli altri giocatori sparsi in tutto il globo.
Questa particolarità, rende infinito questo gioco che credetemi, nonostante l’aspetto molto cartoon non è affatto un gioco esclusivamente per piccini, anzi, è un gioco veramente rivolto a tutti che vogliono provare qualcosa di davvero originale e divertente e dalla longevità incredibilmente lunga.
A mio avviso questa esclusiva per la scatoletta sony è un’assoluto must buy! Da prendere senza ombra di dubbio se ancora manca nella vostra collezione.

A title that I was certainly impressed on this "next gen" is certainly Little Big Planet, a little gem of originality.
Announced in 2007, developed by Media Molecule, was released exclusively for PS3 in 2008 on all markets (October for the U.S. market and Japanese market and in November for the European and Australian markets) from Sony itself.
Technically speaking the game has very nice graphics and sound effects are very well chosen and well made.
The game puts you in command of "Sackboy/Sackgirl", a nice Stuffed animals that we could configure with the objects we collect during the course of the game in story mode or the PSN.
Ths story mode includes eight worlds to explore:
1. Gardens
2. the Savannah
3. Marriage
4. Canyon
5. the Metropolis
6. Islands
7. Temples
8. the Wilderness
Into this world there are many obstacles to overcome and the best deal is to interact with the objects (including structural) of the game and we must try to collect more objects that we can to customize our Sackboy/Sackgirl.
The Sackboy/sackgirl can run, catch various objects, make normal and super jump and also he/she can activate the Popit to access to the various game options (which may change depending on the mode of play that we're trying).
To discover all the objects you need to explore in detail the level of play.
Also an important note is about the "gravity" because in this game is played very well and many actions are related to the characteristics of this physical law.
Besides the story mode there is the editor mode that allows you to create new levels of play that we can use both on offline or online mode and we can share them with the other players on psn and, viceversa, we can try worlds made by other players around the globe.
Believe me, despite the cartoon aspect is not a game for kids only, indeed, the game is really open to all who want to try something truly original and funny and incredibly long longevity.
In my opinion, this title is an absolute must buy! Be taken without a shadow of doubt if it still is missing in your collection.

Battaglie spaziali by Square

Project Sylpheed è stato il primo titolo Square-Enix pubblicato in esclusiva per la console Microsoft.
E’ stato rilasciato in Giappone nel 2006 dopo essere stato presentato al TGS2006 di Tokyo e successivamente, nel 2007, fù pubblicato anche negli Stati uniti e in Europa.
Questo titolo è il successore del vecchio Silpheed che usci nel 1986 e nello sviluppo di Project Sylpheed la SquareEnix, assieme alla Seta ha utilizzato anche alcuni programmatori del vecchio prequel.
Il gioco è ambientato nel 27esimo secolo e vede due forze armate (TCAF vs ADAN) contrapporsi in avvincenti battaglie spaziali.
Il protagonista del gioco è una talentuosa matricola della TCAF di nome Katana Faraway che durante il proseguimento del gioco maturerà notevolmente e si scontrerà più volte con il suo vecchio amico, appartente ora alla fazione avversaria ADAN, Margras Mason.
Non voglio svelare niente della trama….toccherà a voi scoprire la storia che anche se relativamente semplice, è molto carina.
La difficoltà di gioco è ben calibrata, non è né troppo facile né troppo frustrante durante tutte le 16 missioni.
Vi sono obiettivi primari e secondari che spaziano dallo scortare navi amiche a vere e propie azioni di distruzione.
La velocità e l’accuratezza di esecuzione degli obiettivi determinano punteggi che permettono di acquistare i vari potenziamenti per le nostre navi.
Bisogna prestare molta attenzione ai potenziamenti che si ottengono e che si scelgono perché prima di ogni missione, dobbiamo equipaggiare adeguatamente la nostra navicella.
Questo gioco non ha ricevuto voti altissimi nelle recensioni, ma l’ottima grafica, il buon sonoro e una storia carina, accompagnati da una buona giocabilità e dalle sei missioni aggiuntive scaricabili dall’xboxlive l’hanno fatto entrare nella mia topten dei giochi per 360 ;).
Si trova a pochi euri, vi consiglio caldamente l’acquisto!

Project Sylpheed was the first Square-Enix title released exclusively for the xbox360
It was released in Japan in 2006 after being presented to TGS2006 of Tokyo, in 2007 it was released on United States and Europe.
This title is the successor of the old Silpheed, which came out in 1986 and in the development of the Project Sylpheed SquareEnix, together with the Sate has also used some of the old prequel programmers.

Put attention to the upgrades that you get and before each mission, because we need to adequately equip our ship.
This game has not received high ratings in reviews, but in my opinion, the excellent graphics, good sound and a nice story, along with a good playability and the six additional downloadable missions (from xboxlive) made this game one of my favourite title for 360.
You can find this game for few euros, I strongly suggest you to purchase it!

Codici, mattoni e proiettili

Oggi parlo di un titolo pubblicato nell'ormai lontano 1991 sul grande NES: Crackout, clone ben riuscito di breakout della Atari,
Questo titolo è stato prodotto e distribuito da Konami unicamente per il mercato pal ed è reperibile solo sul suolo europeo ed australiano.
Se completo di scatola e manuale, ha una buona quotazione che in genere si attesta sui 15€ che non è male per un titolo nes.
Lo scopo del gioco è trovare 14 lettere che formano un codice segreto e per trovarle è necessario distruggere tutti i mattoncini (e non solo)che ci troveremo davanti all'interno degli 80 livelli di gioco.
Il proseguimento del gioco è più semplice se raccogliamo i vari potenziamenti per il nostro proiettile.
Mi raccomando, se intendete provare questo giochino, armatevi di pazienza perchè in alcuni punti questo gioco è davvero ripetitivo.
Vi consiglio comunque questo titolo, ha un suo perchè e comunque non mi è dispiaciuto ;)
Io ho la versione italiana, versione Mattel, di cui vi mostro una foto sotto.

Today I talk about a title released back in 1991 on the great NES: Crackout, a Breakout's clone.
This title has been produced and distributed by Konami exclusively for the PAL market and you can found its only on Europe and Australia.
Complete of box and manual, it has a good value which usually stood at € 15 which is not bad for a NES title.
The goal is to find 14 letters that make up a secret code.
To find them you must destroy all the bricks (and more) that we will face in the 80 game levels.
The continuation of the game is easier if we collect various power-ups for our projectile.
If you want to try this game, be patient because at some points this game is really repetitive.
It's not a masterpiece, but it's a nice game ;)

Banane in silicon graphics

Silicon graphics….Ricordo questo nome grazie al film Jurassic park e al gioco Donkey kong country.
Si, proprio cosi, perché Donkey kong country fù uno dei primi giochi a cercare di dare una certa tridimensionalità ricorrendo alla silicon graphics e nonostante fossimo nell’era 16 bit (la potenza di calcolo era relativamente bassa per un 3d) il risultato fù ottimo.
Questo particolare approccio al 3d fù reso possibile dalla collaborazione fra gli sviluppatori Rareware e Silicon graphics con la Nintendo stessa, che investi ingenti risorse per lo sviluppo di questo titolo che fù una piccola rivoluzione per il bidimensionale mondo dei 16bit.
Il gioco usci nel 1994 e il personaggio principale era appunto il mitico Donkey kong.
Lo scopo di DonkeyK è di recuperare la moltitudine di banane rubate dal re dei Kremlings, Re K.Cool, superando mille insidie.
L’avventura si sviluppa in 7 zone (Kongo jungle, Monkey mines, Vine valley, Gorilla Glacier, Kremkroc industries inc, Chimp cavern e Gangplank galleon) ognuna della quali ha un boss di fine livello (Very Gnawty, Master Necky, Queen B, Really Gnawty, Dumb Drum, Master Necky senior e il finale Re K.Roll).
Nel corso della storia si incontrano vari amici “secondari” e veri e propri familiari di Donkey (Diddy, Cranky, Funky & Candy…che facevano tutti Kong di congome :D) che ci aiuteranno nel raggiungimento dello scopo finale.
L’azione di gioco consiste nell’avanzare all’interno dei livelli affrontando vari tipi di nemici e nel raccogliere l’enorme quantità di banane che ci troveremo nel nostro cammino.
Gli oggetti che useremo sempre saranno i barili di cui esistono varie tipologie, ognuna con caratteristiche e funzioni particolari.
Di nota anche il lato sonoro, davvero ben realizzato e veramente adatto al gioco.
Questo titolo è sicuramente un capolavoro e lo considero a tutti gli effetti un titolo che non può mancare nella collezione di nessuno…
Come per molti titoli snes sono necessari pochi euri per procurarsene uno.
Io personalmente ho la versione giapponese, ma vi consiglio di procurarvi la versione europea, davvero comune qui da noi, per godervi questa bella avventura in maniera comprensibile e chiara.

Silicon Graphics. ... I remember this name thanks to the film Jurassic Park and the game Donkey Kong Country.
Yes, that's right, because Donkey Kong Country was one of the first games to try to give some three-dimensional graphics using the silicon graphs and even though we were 16-bit era (the computational power was relatively low for a 3d) the result was excellent.
This unique approach to 3D was made possible by collaboration between developers Rareware and Silicon graphis with publisher Nintendo, which invests significant resources to the development of this title that was a small revolution for the two-dimensional world of 16bit.
The game was released in 1994 and the main character was in fact the legendary Donkey Kong.
The purpose of DonkeyK is to recover the multitude of bananas stolen by the king of Kremlings, King K. Cool, over thousands of pitfalls.
The adventure is spread in 7 zones (Kongo Jungle, Monkey Mines, Vine Valley, Gorilla Glacier Kremkroc Industries Inc, Chimp Gangplank cavern and galleon), each of which has an end-level boss (Very Gnawty, Master Necky, Queen B, Really Gnawty, Dumb Drum Master Necky Sr. and the final King K. Roll).
Throughout history there are several Donkey’s friends and some Donkey’s families (Diddy, Cranky, Funky & Candy ... they did all of congome Kong: D) that will help us in achieving the ultimate goal.

We,ve spoke about the graphics but the sound is great too, really nice and really suited the game.
This title is definitely a masterpiece and I consider its like a must have!
I personally have the Japanese version, but I advise you to obtain the European version, very common here (in europe :D), to enjoy this great adventure in an understandable and clear way.

Ninja futuristici

Eccomi qua tornare con una recensione di un titolo per Nes.
Nello specifico stiamo parlando di Blue Shadow.
Blue shadow è il nome europeo, mentre al di fuori del vecchio continente è conosciuto con il nome: Shadow of the ninja.
Il gioco in Europa fù distribuito da Taito e venne pubblicato il 25 Luglio del 1991 mentre in giappone fù pubblicato il 10 agosto 1990.
Il gioco è ambientato nel 1929 e narra delle vicende di due ninja (Hayate, il ninja maschietto e Kaede la ninja del gentil sesso) che devono contrastare il dittatore Garuda.
Questo titolo prevede sia il single che il multiplayer (2 giocatori).
Blue Shadow è un incrocio fra un platform ed un action game, molto ben riuscito, dove dovremo usare tipologie di armi a seconda della distanza dei nemici.
A livello tecnico questo titolo è caratterizzato da un'ottima grafica e da una bellissima e piuttosto aggressiva colonna sonora.
Io ho la versione italiana del gioco (distribuzione Mattel) ed è facilmente reperibile sulla baia...non è uno dei titoli più economici, ma è comunque abbordabile e ve lo consiglio caldamente ;).

Here I am back with a review of a title for the NES.
Specifically we are talking about Blue Shadow.
Blue shadow is the European name, while outside the old continent is known as: Shadow of the ninja.
The game was released in Europe by Taito and was released on July 25, 1991 while in Japan was published August 10, 1990.
The game is set in 2029 and tells the story of two ninja (Hayate, the boy ninja Kaede and the gilr ninja) must fight the dictator Garuda.
This title includes both the singles and the multiplayer (2 players).
Blue Shadow is a cross between a platformer and an action game, very well done, where we use types of weapons depending on the distance of the enemy.
This title has a great 8bit generation graphics ;) and a very nice and aggressive soundtrack.
I have the Italian version of the game (distributed by Mattel) and is easily found on the bay ... it's not one of the cheapest, but it is affordable and I highly recommend it;).

Blu Ray

Ho parlato degli HD DVD, ora mostro anche la mia collezione Blu ray...
La maggior parte dei titoli li ho acquistati in italiano ma alcuni che in italia non sono stati pubblicati o che all'estero hanno un master video migliore, li ho acquistati in giro per il mondo ;)
Come lettore uso un buon Samsung BD-C5300, dall'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e che soprattutto mastica di tutto ;).

Most of the titles I've purchased are in Italian, but some who have not been published in Italy or abroad have a better video master, I've bought them around the world;)

Sticcone bello solido per 360

Questa volta la recensione non è inerente ad un gioco, ma ad una periferica.
La periferica in questione è l'arcade stick TE SF4 R2 prodotto da Madcatz per xbox 360 (disponibile anche per ps3).
Questo stick è di ottima fattura, robusto e con componentistica Sanwa.
Si presta benissimo sia per i picchiduro che per gli sparatutto ed inoltre è facilmente personalizzabile tramite la sostituzione del faceplate.
Questo stick ha la funzione turbo, un connettore per le cuffie, 8 tasti principali (A,B,X,Y,RT,LT,RB,RT) e 2 secondari (START e SELECT).
Come già detto sia i tasti che lo stick sono forniti da Sanwa, produttore di fama mondiale nel mondo arcade.
Questa scelta permette una sensibilità di gioco ottimale per riprodurre al meglio un pò di arcade sul nostro divano con la 360 ;),
Per chi non si trovasse bene con la base di serie per lo stick, può facilmente recupare una base ottogonale sanwa e sostituirla.
Consiglio senza ombra di dubbio questo stick a tutti coloro che amano i picchiduro e soprattuto gli shmups giapponesi ;).

The reviewed device is the R2 TE SF4 arcade stick manufactured by MADCATZ for XBOX 360 (also available for PS3).
This stick is well made, robust and with components by Sanwa.
It lends itself very well for beat em up and for shmups and also is easily customized by replacing the faceplate.
This stick has the turbo function, an headphones connector, 8 main buttons (A, B, X, Y, RT, LT, RB, RT) and two secondary (START and SELECT).
As mentioned the stick and the buttons are provided by Sanwa stick, a producer of arcade parts famous in all over the world.
This choice allows a very good play sensitivity and it like to have a little arcade with our 360;)
For those not found in well with the standard stick restrictor, it can easily be replaced with an octagonal restrictor alway made by sanwa.
This stick is a must buy for anyone who loves beat em up or shmups ;)

Ecco qua...come promesso nel precedente post il blog si espande anche al reparto Audio/Video.
Come primo post a riguardo ho deciso di postare la mia collezione hddvd, di cui sono molto orgoglioso e a cui sono molto affezionato.
E' vero, ufficialmente è un formato "morto" ma io non ho mai smesso di usare e collezionare hddvd.
La qualità è ottima ed è stato il primo formato hd su supporto ottico.
Ci sono molti titoli e pochi in italiano, per cui colleziono molti titoli in lingua originale (fortunatamente riesco a seguire bene i film in inglese).
Possiedo due lettori, un fantastico Toshiba Ep35 e l'add-on per 360.
