The Global Security Challenge (GSC), the world’s leading security innovation competition has completed its first stage of judging, and we are delighted to announce 2020 Imaging are amongst the UK finalists.

We were selected from this year's record number of entries, with more than thirty countries represented.

The Global Security Challenge (GSC) is a competition and forum for security innovators, start-ups and investors. It provides a valuable launching pad for security innovation and each year over US$500,000 is awarded to entrepreneurs and researchers within the security technology field. The mission of the GSC is to stimulate technological innovations that make airports, cities and enterprises safer without encroaching on civil liberties.

2020 Release Latest Tracking Algorithm - AirWatch

2020 have continued their development of world class video analytics and have released, in July, the latest tracking algorithm which has been development for both security and defence applications. Perfect for tracking vehicles from a UAV/Helicopter the 2020 “Airwatch” software will track a vehicle using a combination of state-of-the-art algorithms that can be implemented at video rate on the 2020 ruggedized processor. Highly effective and efficient, the software will greatly assist operators in monitoring from high altitudes and fixing targets.

The system differentiates itself from other software on the market by being able to maintain a target track through shadows, partial occlusion and with a degraded video signal

Key features include:

Real time operation with modest processing power requirements
An ability to maintain a track in demanding scenarios
Will operate equally well with thermal, near infrared and visible wavebands
Our hardware is robust to vibration and shock loading

2020 Imaging & Siemens Complete Joint Development

2020 Imaging was invited to attend the UK Trade & Investment Meet the Buyer Aerospace, Airports and Homeland Security event on 17 and 18 January 2011 at the Emirates Stadium, attended by Buyers from around the world.

2020 Imaging and Siemens have completed a joint development program to create a command and control system which leveraged all the experience and existing capabilities of their "Rail Manager" system that runs with the Cromos integration framework with 2020's unique multitouch user interface. The integration was a major challenge but the companies worked extremely well and closely together to do all the initial integration work within 2 months.

2020 Imaging has developed a close working relationship with Siemens Mobility in the UK and are looking at ways to significantly develop solutions in the rail and transportation sectors.
