The KL Tower is a 421m high telecommunications and broadcasting tower which actually appears to be taller than the Petronas Towers, because it is built on a hill. Amidst the city of Kuala Lumpur stands the Menara Kuala Lumpur at 515m above sea level.
It's a joke, and everybody knows, that the Petronas Towers are the highest buildings in Kuala Lumpur.
It also claims to house the highest McDonald's in the World. This tower has an observation deck, where you finally can manage to get a bird's eye view of the city.
Menara Kuala Lumpur ranks fourth amongst the tallest telecommunications towers in the world and was constructed over a period of four years and completed in May 1996. Menara Kuala Lumpur is designed to withstand wind pressures of up to 90mph.

Menara Kuala Lumpur (officially) stands majestically atop Bukit Nanas (Pineapple Hill) at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, is one of the first and perhaps most enduring images a visitor to KL will encounter.

When you're taking a taxi to go to the
KL-Tower, it's better that he drops you off up the hill at the entrance.
There's also a "free shuttle service".

As a tourist I would advise you to go up the hiil with the "shuttle service" or taxi and to walk down the on your way back!
When you're down the hill go right and then left and take a nice cold coffee at the Starbuck Coffee. You need that.

The KL-Tower's architecture reflects the country's Islamic heritage with the construction detailing Arabic Scripts, Islamic tiles, classic Islamic floral and abstract motifs and soothing colour combinations.The main public area and entrance is at the upper ground level. At this level there are 9 shops, a fast food restaurant, a mini-theatre , which shows a documentary on the construction of the tower (every 15 minutes) and an open-air amphitheatre (222 seats).
There are also public toilets.
Before going to the "observation deck", you'll have to buy a ticket. Price RM8.-
After that you'll proceed to the fast speed elevator, which will bring you very to the "observation deck"
Downstairs are also several souvenir shops, but it's better to wait till you're back again.

Melaka is located on the Western Coast of Peninsular Malaysia facing the Straits of Melaka, about 147 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur and 245 kilometers from Singpore. Melaka is actually found sandwiched between the states of Negeri Sembilan and Johor. It can be reached by excellent roads from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Internally it is serviced by a very good network of roads leading to all the historical places of interest. It covers and area of 658 square kilometers and is divided into three districts namely Alor Gajah, Melaka Tengah and Jasin.

Melaka was founded by Parameswara (or Raja Iskandar) the last Malay ruler of Temasik (ancient Singapore) in 1396 when he and his followers retreated up the straits to Muar, then to Sungai Ujung before settling at Bertam near the estuary of Melaka River.

Finding the place of strategic location, he decided to make a permanent settlement there, naming it "Melaka" after the name of the tree he leaned against. The Melaka Sultanate occupies a special position in the history of Malaysia. Its inauguration marked the beginning of the emergence of a new Malay empire. The birthplace of the Malay Sultanates and Malaysia's historic city, Melaka provided the stage on which the Portuguese, Dutch and English played out their roles in shaping the history.

Melaka emerged as a strong maritime trading state under the industrious Parameswara and his chiefs. Melaka also began to be noticed by Muslim traders from West Asia and India, who until that period, had been concentrating their activities in Aru, Pedir and Pasai en-route to the East, especially China. Because of its strategic location straddling the Straits of Melaka, it thrived as a port-of-call and a centre of entrepot trade with ships and merchants from China, Japan, India, Arab and South Africa.

In 1511, it fell to the hands of the Portuguese, followed by the Dutch in 1641 after a fierce battle. In 1795, Melaka was given to the British to prevent it falling to the French when the Netherlands was captured during the Napoleonic Wars. It was returned to the Dutch in 1818 under the treaty of Vienna but was later exchanged by the British for Bangkahulu, Sumatra. From 1826 onwards, the British East India Company along with Singapore and Penang governed it, under the Straits Settlement administration in Calcutta.

The Dutch, who held Melaka for over a century, left many fine buildings marking their heritage. The most imposing relic of the Dutch period is the Stadthuys, a strikingly pink town hall which is today the oldest Dutch building in the Far East. Right next to it stands the bright red Christ Church, constructed with pink bricks imported from Holland and covered with local red lacerite. Today, these buildings together with the ruins of the Portuguese built A Famosa and St. Paul's Church are the most prominent reminders of the Europeans' presence in Melaka.

Tanjung Rhu Beach is a pleasing beach on the northernmost tip of Langkawi Island. Pulau Dayang Bunting (Island Of The Pregnant Mermaid) is the second largest island of the Langkawi archipelago, second only to Pulau Langkawi itself. Located at a distance of about 17.6 km from Kuah Town, Pulau Dayang Bunting is accessible from Kuah Jetty or Pantai Cenang through a 15 minute boat ride.

The island derives its name from Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden), the largest lake on Langkawi. The lake and the island are shrouded in legend. Tales of Mambang Sari and Mat Teja's ill-fated love story loom over one's mind as one cools off in the scintillating waters of the lake. The story of Mat Teja's courtship of his beloved and their sweet romantic endeavors take the tourists back into the world of nymphs and genies. Their love child did not survive long and the anguished mother bid her son farewell. The child is believed to have assumed the form of a white crocodile as she placed him in his watery grave. This crocodile guards the lake till date, natives hold, and is said to appear only to the pure at heart. Mambang Sari, overflowing with maternal affection and distraught at such a fortuity, blessed the waters that took her son into their fold with magical qualities. Since then, the natives believe that a sip of the waters of Tasik Dayang Bunting endows fertility to any childless woman.

But the real attraction of this platform lies below sea level. Step into the underwater observation chamber to view the marine life surrounding a reef. Are you into scuba diving? The best diving is along the reef system that skirts the south, east and west of Pulau Payar. Please check with your dive operator what the visibility is like during that time. It can vary from time to time.

There is no accommodation in Pulau Payar as it is a marine park, but that's not really an issue since Langkawi, with all its fine resorts and restaurants, is just a quick boat-ride away.

The Telaga Tujuh, precisely called Seven Wells, is a beautifully crafted geological manifestation. While taking the cable car ride to the top of Gunung Mat Cincang, you can perceive the awe-inspiring view of Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls. Located along Gunung Mat Cincang in the north-western corner of Pulau Langkawi, this picturesque waterfall is named such because its gushing water stream is broken by a series of seven natural pools.

At the site, there are seven wells/pools from which water glides delightfully from one pool to another. The stream finally cascades 90 meters down into the seventh pool. Over the years, the rapid flowing water has leveled the sharp rock surface. Further, this lovely waterfall gets a pictorial charm due to the verdant green surroundings. Indeed seven wells present a brilliant sight which one cannot forget during one's lifetime.

I'm on my bike where we can have quite a low fare flying with AirAsia. I do not argue with this based on my experience flying with AirAsia before. It is correct. I had to fly at only RM49.00 release from kuala lumpur to langkawi includes all charges; airport charges, administrative charges and fuel charges on my first flight in late 2008.

However, to get a cheap price of the AirAsia, we should always check the AirAsia promotions from time to time as well as make an advance booking. Fly with the AirAsia give a new experience for the general perception of low cost airlines.

To me, the weakness is on the LCCT airport, very weak, disorganized, fiber, and makes me feel disappointed for services provided by air transportation class.

Although the airport tax is charged on cost of RM3 but it is not worth for the service provided at the airport.

Interms of service, boarding pass provided by MAS is much more exclusive if compared with the AirAsia Boarding Pass. And the Services carbine provided by MAS much more better that AirAsia as MAS provides newspapers and free food. Carbine crew? I like both; MAS and AirAsia have their own way to deal with their passengers.

Anyway, to compare the AirAsia with MAS, to me if you can get MAS ticket at cheaper price (not exceeding RM30 from AirAsia ticket) or MAS ticket price not exceeding RM90, it is worth.

Anyway, I would like to thank AirAsia for providing low cost carrier options and make the experience of my first flight with Air Asia.

before this, i post few info regarding LANGKAWI "A Legendary Island". Now, i would like to further inform on how to get to Langkawi. There are two ways; land transportation or by flying.

Fly to Langkawi from Kuala Lumpur

This is what i frequently done to go back to my hometown Langkawi in the past 1 and half year. you might either fly with AirAsia or Malaysia Airlines (MAS) or FireFly to get to Langkawi.

Malaysia Airlines (MAS)

This 5-stars hospitality flight services might scared you even to enter the website for checking your ticket price. Yes, this is what was happen to me before. when i click booking for my destination, the price comes out was RM 300++. My God, it is not my deal to go back with this expensive price.

however, in late 2008, i have checked again the MAS ticket from KL-Langkawi. amazingly, it was charged me only RM 69.00 in total including all the tax . Impressively, this charge took me along with 5-stars services even in an economy class.

Now, we go on how to get lower price from MAS. to me, im going to check on get-the-deal promotion which is easier for me to find out the lowest price provides by MAS. you might also directly find out from the promotion advertised on the MAS webpage. Flying with MAS, you will get all the 5 stars accommodation at KLIA. even at the departure hall, you will feel very convenient and thinking that the price that you paid is cheaper than you are expected. Getting into the flight carbine, you will served with news paper and during the fly, jus and peanut will be served. The flight takes only an hour to get to langkawi from KLIA.

Ferries usually leave the port of Kuala Kedah on the mainland on the hour from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. The ride lasts 1 1/2 hours. There are also ferry services from the mainland port of Kuala Perlis and the Thai port of Satun, both are just 45 minutes from Langkawi.

Way to go!" does not mean "Steady so" or "Steady as she goes" or anything like that.

Well done, as in That was a great lecture way to go! This exclamation of approval and encouragement originated in sports, addressed to athletes who are performing well. In the 1960s it began to be used for any kind of achievement.

there would be several phrase that describe the meaning of way to go. on your side, what is "WAY to GO" meanings to? please comment for that...

my way to go was something special i have done but for sure i have some way to go till the end of my life
