I was surfing the net like I normally do when I'm bored. So I just went on Scour and searched for knitey.net, which is my domain name. The results are the same results from Google. Their was a link to my website from this forum so I just went in to check it out. It was a link to my NeoBux proof of payment page.

I'm very satisfied with Scour, the search engine. I set it as my homepage so I don't go using Google. It gives me the same results as Google would because Scour just retrieves the results straight from Google itself. On top of that I get paid for my searches and for my referral searches. If you use Google, Yahoo, or MSN to do your searches, I definitely recommend using Scour for those people.

Before I use Google to search for things everyday and I mean that literally. I need information. I didn't get pay anything to use Google before. Now I'm getting paid to use Google through Scour.

Why People Aren't Joining
A lot of people don't want to sign up for this awesome program because they think its a waste of time since they might not payout or worst get spam in the email.

Its not a waste of time because everyone uses Google, Yahoo, or MSN and they give you the same search results that you get from whichever one you use.
I haven't gotten any spam from them, and besides with the intelligence of spam filters nowadays most of them goes to the spam folder.

Choose a Search Engine Over The Other in Scour and Still Get Paid

After a day of using Scour, I have to admit they have a very good thing going on. The fact that they have a clean eye candy layout and display results from the top 3 search engines in the world. The biggest thing that capture our attention is the that they pay you to use their 3 in 1 search engine.

Today I found out that you can choose to display results from only one search engine if you want. Since I been using Google for a long time, its my search engine of choice.

Start by going into "My Profile" and then click on the "Settings" tab. So by setting the Google Weight to 100 and the rest to 0. Then in the Google priority set it to 8 and the rest at 0. This way it will only display results from Google. I get paid to search with Google now. I wish I known about this when they first came out.

I just found this very cool program that pays you to do what you do everyday, which is searching Google, Yahoo, or BING. They pay you 1 point for every search that you make while logged in at Scour. Every time you search for something it'll give you results from Google, Yahoo, and BING.

I found out about scour while clicking ads on ClixSense, what a great opportunity this is.

So the big question is how much money can you earn from this?
You earn 1 point for every search you do and 0.25 points for your referral's searches. I'll get to how much a point is worth right after this. You can redeem you points from three choices of fixed payout amounts, which is $25, $50, and $100. You also earn money when you leave comment and vote, which also earns you 1 point.

6,500 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $25.00
12,500 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $50.00
25,000 Rewards Points may be redeemed for a $100.00

Also an important thing to know is that you're limited to earning 300 points per day and credited from your first 100 searches, which is about 9000 points if you earn 300 points everyday for a month. Pretty cool right?

Here is something to get your excited:
I'm going to do 300 searches per day and my 10 referrals each do 300 searches per day.
Me - 300 points * 30 = 9000 points/month
10 Referrals - 300 points * 10 * 30 = 90,000 * 25% = 22500 points/month
Total Points = 31,500 points
So you can redeem $100 each month

Not bad for something you do everyday.

Who can join?
As long as you have a Paypal account no matter what country you live in, you can join and earn money. For people in the US, you can choose to get pay by PayPal or get mailed a Visa Check Gift card.

Hits4Pay is my best money maker for this week because it made the most out of all the PTCs. I think I'll start promoting those 5 PTC to build up referrals. I notice that referrals stop clicking after a certain amount of time. It might be because they are too busy or just lost the motivation.

JohnChow.COM Went to PageRank 0

I just went to John Chow's blog today just to see whats new. I have this add-on on my FireFox that displays the Alexa ranking and PageRank. I was surprise to see that JohnChow.COM got a PageRank of 0. It was PageRank 3 a few days ago. I wonder what was wrong with it. It's not surprising that Google constantly updates the algorithm of their PageRank system to calculate the PageRank of a website.

Obviously their is something wrong with Google's PageRank system, because John Chow has over 50,000 people subscribed to his feed. There has to be a usefulness of the website in order to have that many subscribers.

He continues make more money with his blog using Alexa ranking and commenting as leverage. It seems that advertisers don't really care that much about PageRank for his blog. Advertisers continue to pay him hundreds of dollars per month just to have their advertisements display on his blog.

I guess the point of this post is for those people that have 0 PageRank, just try to build your traffic, and try to get people to comment on your posts and hope that you can make 1% of what John Chow makes in a year with his blog.

Switched All In One Social Bookmarking Button

The social bookmarking buttons I used to have on this blog weren't working anymore because the account that hosted the images of those social bookmark website's icon became disabled due to too much bandwidth usage.

I just recently added the one button social bookmarking on the bottom of each post. When you mouse over it, it'll show you a list of the most common social bookmarking website that most people use such as Digg, delicious, twitter, etc.

Update 6/24/2009 4:45pm: I logged into my AdBrite account and noticed that they removed that feature. You can't set your own pricing anymore.

Recently I got a comment on a post from two years ago. That's is a long time ago. Who can honestly tell people off the top of their head what they learned or forget two years ago. I forgot all about this post on Optimizing AdBrite Earnings. After reading it, I think I'm going to try to add AdBrite back in this blog again.

I'm going to work my way to the top from the bottom. I also just realize how my blog stopped improving. I didn't have that many good post for the past year. It was mostly just proof of payments that I did like once a month. Nothing really useful. I'm going to go through all my old posts and make a note of all the useful ones. It seems like a lot of those posts have been lost on the Internet.

This is from the same people that owns Hits4Pay, which has been paying their members for the past 10 years on time. They give you $5.00 just for signing up and the minimum payout is $25. What they do is email you a notification that you got a "paid email" waiting for you in the members area. All you have to do is login and open the ad and click on the link. After about a minute or two you'll get credit for $0.02 per click. You can also from referral clicks which is also $0.02 per click. So the more referrals you have the more you'll make.

How to Maximize Your Individual Earning
Before you sign up make sure you sign up for a Gmail account just for making money online. Upon sign up it'll ask you to select at least 10 categories of interest and up to 25 categories maximum. ValueBux Instant Payout Only Allows Max of 25 Referrals

ValueBux is weird. They only allow a maximum of 25 referrals for standard members and maximum of 100 referrals for premium members. I did not read everything before I bought the 100 Guaranteed Sign Ups. So I just wasted like 20 bucks. So the ValueBux just got 75 referrals for free off of me.

Looks like I won't be getting any more referrals.

Art of Cancelling Credit Protector from your Credit Card

Today I finally took the time to call Credit Protector to cancel it. For those that doesn't know what Credit Protector is, it's a fee charged on your account that is a percentage of your total statement bill amount. It is like an insurance that protects your credit from job lost, or other financial problem.

I got a mail from Credit Protector saying that they're going to increase the fee to $1.09 for every $100 you spend. That is 1.09%. Did anyone ever notice that the number to call Credit Protector is very hard to find? This letter included this line, "If you wish to discontinue this protection, or have any questions, please call 888-592-7344". There it is if anyone needs it.

When you call in there will be an automatic voice system that will handle some inquiries you might have. There was a voice menu that says, "If you want to cancel your Credit Protector press 3". So I press 3 thinking this is a piece of cake. I was expecting something to say, "Credit Protector successfully cancelled.", but what happen is it transfers me and agent, which put me on hold for around two or three minutes depending on what time of day you call them. When I finally got a representative talking to me, I told them I want to cancel my Credit Protector. After this, they will always bust out their script, but they don't tell you that. There is actually three to four conditions that you'll have to go through before they will cancel you Credit Protector.

This is suppose to be how a consumer feels like trying to cancel their Credit Protector

ME: I want to cancel my Credit Protector please. (took 5 secs)

REP: (Talks about all the financial problems that I might have and how Credit Protector can protect me during those crisis that took like 3 minutes and then)

ME: It's OK I still want to cancel it. (took 5 secs)

REP: I appreciate your decision. We have another plan that is cheaper you would be interested in...blah blah blah. Let's go ahead and sign you up for the $0.49 for every $100 spent plan.

ME: It's OK I still want to cancel. (this took another 3-4 minutes)

REP: I certainly do appreciate your decision. We can give you a $50 gift certificate included with the $0.49 plan for every $100. (and then blah blah blah). Let's go ahead and sign you up for that. You can cancel any time when ever you are not interested. (Don't give up keep your cool) ( this took another 3-4 minutes)

ME: No Thanks, I still don't want it please cancel my Credit Protector.

REP: Your Credit Protector is pending for cancel. Please know that it might take up to 3 days for your Credit Protector to actually cancel. Have a great day. (took about 10 secs)

ME: Thanks you have a great day too. (took 5 secs)

Why is it so hard to cancel a Credit Protector?
That is what they are train to do. The company wants to keep their customers so they make it very difficult for consumers like us to cancel it. Getting mad at the employee is useless because they're just doing their job. If you really want to cancel it you should be patient and keep your cool.

How I'm Really Making Money Online Right Now.

I got tired of typing articles for paid to blog websites even though they pay good money. Don't get me wrong, its very easy to make money with them. I made over $1,000 with them in half a year with it. I'm currently a very long long break. If you been keeping up with my blog, I barely blog now. I just post up proof of payments. I'm passively making money online right now.

What's making me money online right now?

NeoBux pays me instantly each time and the minimum payout is $4. I hate those long 60 business day waits. C'mon what's up with those 60 business day waits.
ClixSense get paid $0.01 to $0.05 per ad clicked.
Hits4Pay is only for US folks and they pay $0.02 per ad looked at and you also get two levels down to earn money from. This is the one I'm really trying to grow.

Well that is pretty much it. I think I might do a weekly earnings report again. Those are pretty interesting to look at to see my progress.

Making Money Online with PTC combined with PTA

Recently I came across a website, E-TradeXchange where you get paid to advertise (PTA). I was wondering how is this possible. This method is pretty fool proof since it takes so long to earn your money back. I decided to try it out to see if it works. Just started about 11 days ago on September 20, 2008.

How PTA, E-TradeXchange work?
You will get 175% back when your Ad Pack expires. You paid $5.00, which is the minimum cost for an Ad Pack. By the time the Ad Pack expires, you will get back $8.75. Pretty cool. Before you say this is a scam its not because you're advertising your Referral URLs or your websites. The trick is to buy as many Ad Pack as you can to actually make money. Some people actually withdraws $50 per day and reinvest $50 per day because they have invested so much money in it.

How Fast Can You Get Your Money Back?
It depends on how much money you invest. I'm currently testing it out and don't want to use the money I earned from my job so I use my Make A $1 Per Day for source of money. I currently bought an Ad Pack for $5. According to my 11 day observation from since joining, I earn from $0.01 to $0.02 per day, but mostly $0.01 per day. After doing some calculations, it would take about 323 days to earn back the $5.00. That just takes way too long to wait to reinvest the $5.00. So here is the trick. Every time you can request a $5.00 payout from one of the PTCs from Make A $1 Per Day. Keep buying $5 Ad Pack when you have gotten your payment from Make A $1 Per Day or you have earned $5 withing your E-TradeXchange account.

I will put keep buying Ad Packs every time I have at least $5 in my AlertPay account until I no longer need use Make A $1 Per Day to make money.
