For many years around this time. I would reopen the Memory Scars of the the USMC and Vietnam in the late 1960s. Scrape out some of the Black Dried Blood. Then mix it with the milk of a lost soul, deep in Karma's Debt.

And dip my quill in this now reconstructed Bard's ink. Writing bitter words and bloody memories, for SummerLands sake and the hope they could make a better world.

Yet at some point even the most Stubborn Druid and Scribe of SummerLands, must accept the words, only fall on Blind eyes, Deaf ears, or powerless Souls and Hearts.

So this year I will only say, at some point in this life or another. Karma will fall hard on the Rich and Powerful, that have drank of so many peoples Blood, Pain and Deaths, like it was a cheap wine, while waxing fat on the profits of Their Useless Wars.

2020 poor as a rock.

Unless you own stock.

But soon all will fall.

Farmers will eat.

Bloody streets will compete.

For the scraps beneath their feet.

The world will dress in bodybags.

A few will survive in tattered rags.

No one left to slave for Bankers coin.

But a rusty can of food will buy any kiss tonight.

What is coming can not change.

Keep your seed dry and close at hand.

For if food and bullets will be the only demand.

Visions of the Prophet to this broken land.

DEATH WATCH 2020:

Besides my many other problems today. I stood the Death Watch, tried and true tonight. Our little Black Angel of 20 + years old, crossed from in my arms to the great Catnip Rainbow and now can play again with her family she so long out-lived.

As a USMC Vietnam 1960s Vet and a cat and dog cartaker, almost my whole life. Death knows me well, and comes by to chat, far too often, even for us being very old friends.

Still having watched, a Stone Hearted Warrior, try to relearn to cry in the 70s and beyound. He still gets a twinkle in his eye when he see a tear in mine.

And often whispers in my ear, Druid you have come back, a long long way on the hard road.

You are almost a true Human again.

MUD RED ROADS TO HELL.

So who did you kill, so long ago, in the 60s or 70s.

Where there was rain and mud but never snow.

Do their faces come back to you still, so late at night.

Or still wakeup now and and then, with the shakes, sweats, and suppressed scream.

Before you realize it was just a Memories Dream.

Postscript:

Up all night, finally took a ibuprofen, this morning and Dr. Cat sleep on me.

As often comes winter, my mind and soul, if I have one still, return to Vietnam, as it was a deadly time for us. And those oh so young men, I often shareded c rations with the nights before, so full of hope about going home died before my eyes. Yes they went home, or at least little bits and pieces we scrapped up were supposed to. And the Red mud roads to hell, ate well.

And of my body plant a tree or make ashes and feed the sea.

If the law does allow, my head you may keep.

And of it, make a night light to help you sleep. 

Let the spiders, their home do make. 

Add when I vist, their webs will shake.

Of sweet life, you my love, are all I miss.

But with the winds, your sweet I face kiss.

And when you come to Summerlands too, have not care.

For once again the warm cup of love we shall share.

I sit like a Ship with a Broken Bottle and Cry.

For those who made me, never let me touch the Sky.

Or ever ever taste the Sea.

But to just sit on the Mantel and Pretty be.

And now life, like a Maschives Cat, has broken my Bottle.

And those that once sang my Praise and Admired me.

Have into the trash Launched me to Be.

On my Own, All Alone.

Soon to Sail into mysteries, that no Ship would ever want to see.

Memories, Vietnam in 1960,s.

A SS razor blade taped between your dog tags as the last resort.

A colt 45, never far from reach, locked and loaded under your head every night.

Its barrel with a touch of rust from tasting in on two many dark nights, as a quick way out.

 An M14 to heavy to carry for months on end with the Radio and spare batteries, in the heat that seemed like it would never end.

Red clay mud everywhere worms in the water and your gut. Quinine every day to hide the truth of what was in your Blood.

A silent goodbye to your friends each time you or they went into the field. No, you never expected to see each other again this side of Hell or Summerlands.

Memories, so many deaths so far away, yet so close, like flies around a hot cup of hell.

Do Warriors Cry?

When we were young, we trained not to cry but to fight and die.

Then we went to war and saw so many many die.

And we were forced to ask why oh why.

How in our harden heart we wished we could cry.

It took years as a 'Druid Sky Pilot' to relearn to cry.

Yet, it is still hard but I know bloody why.

When you kill your humanity for the Dark Side.

Go to War, glad to fight, without a care of who is right.

But live to come back and walk in the light.

Deep in your heart and soul, it is still forever night.

World Without Sin.

Hello, Darkness my old friend.

Come to cloth the World in Velvet and hid its sins.

But soon the Sun will rise and show the ugly truth once again.

A truth the Rich refuse to see.

And one the Poor forgot, does not have to be.

Working from Cradle to the Grave, but for a mouth of melting snow.

While the tables of the Rich continue to overflow.

Yet both the Poor and the Rich must surely die.

And for one, there is a very special HELL, I can not deny.

On Wings of Light

Came across a great ocean to call America its Home.

Here it Flowered its greatest Illusionary Bloom.
But that bright flower died and withered far to Soon.
