You want every page title to be compelling, perhaps even a bit provocative. Be creative. Also, it will help if you write them using conversational tone and simple terms.

5. Optimize your articles. Once you're done putting your all ideas into writing, the next step is to make your articles search engine-friendly. Start by placing your main keyword on your introduction (preferably within the first 90 characters), on each of your number list or paragraph, and on the last sentence of your articles. In order to avoid exceeding the acceptable keyword density, use your main keyword and your secondary keywords just once for every 50 words.

We may wake up tomorrow to find out that meta keywords are now important again and having to go through all your website's pages again to add them could take a lot of time. It's better to add them now and not have to worry about it later.

Your meta keywords should contain all the keywords related to your SEO campaign and all industry keywords that are related to that particular page regardless if you are optimizing for them or not.

SEO Beginner Tip 3: Internal Linking

Internal linking is not only helpful for search engine rankings, but it also allows your visitors to find other pages on your site that may not be reachable through your main navigation or easily found. Internal linking can also pass along link juice from one page to another on your site which can help with rankings.

You want to link the pages of your site together using anchor text links. An anchor text link is a link that uses a keyword instead of, for example, "click here."

Anchor text links tell the search engines what the page that the link leads to is about. You want to make sure that you use this technique to link the pages of your sites together. I hate the word Diet because it means you will lose the weight and then continue with the eating habits that created the weight problem in the first place. Losing weight is hard, period. It takes a long time to put the extra pounds (sometimes it doesn't seem to take that long) so it only makes sense it will take a long time to take the weight off. What is a diet? It is the way you eat and the food choices you make. Not a quick fix, so all of the reviewed diets are only successful if you do the following:

1. Incorporate some form of exercise. This is key because not only will you burn more calories you will feel better and your heath will improve (this is far more important than the way you look!)

2. Have a support program and use it. Blog an exercise group (highly recommended). Lean on the resources to get you through the tough periods.

3. A diet or eating plan should be founded on solid principles and should not be a fad. Fad diets do not work! Yes you will lose water weight but a stomach virus does the same thing.

4. Learn how to make the right choices on your own. Research and determine what good choices are. I will write several blogs point to some great resources regarding Diet plans.

When you choose an exercise program, make sure you do something you enjoy. There will be times that you do not want to exercise, so have a variety to keep active during those times. Staying active is probably the #1 way to stay on a diet program and keep the weight off. You can lose weight by starving yourself but you want to lose weight for life.

If you know you have a busy life style, choose a diet and exercise plan that fits that life style. They have several options for meal delivery to your home. Don't get caught up in the ease of these plans and forget to understand how to make them work yourself.

Rely on friends and support groups to get you through the tough times. Have a workout partner and a diet partner. That way when you start to get off track the can bring you back. It works the other way as well. Hopefully you're both not having a bad week at the same time. If that's the case add more people.

Set goals for fitness not weight loss. Your weight loss will stagnate at times and this can be frustrating. Try to walk and certain distance, train for a 5k, or maybe a bike race. If you focus on your weakness your chances for success go down.

Dieting and weight loss is hard; hang in there and you will be glad you did.

The Best Length For Articles

There is no firm answer to the question of how long an article should be. There are, however, some principles you can follow.

For the most part, it's more difficult for people to read on a screen. Our eyes don't want to spend as much time reading online as we can do in print. We also have more distractions online. It's very tempting (as I'm sure you know) to click around and visit more sites. So your best bet is to keep things short.

How short is appropriate? A good idea is to keep things to about 300-500 words. Most people can read that in a few minutes, so it will keep their attention.

It will be even more effective if you take those 300-500 words and divide them into 2 or 3 sections with subheadings. This gives people the feeling of starting something new, and it sort of "resets" their attention span.

Even if a topic requires more in-depth attention, be careful not to go much beyond 1,000 words. For those more involved articles, something more like 700-900 words is appropriate. You can cover a lot more information in that span than you'd think. This article, for instance only has about 400 words.

The Importance of Location

Where you publish is just as important when considering article length as the topic you're writing about. If you're writing to promote your business (article marketing) and you're choosing sites like this one, or Yahoo Voice, then you'll be looking at a minimum of 400 words. That's partly because these sites are meant to inform (and create back links, of course).

If you're working on a site like HubPages, you can afford to go a bit longer. Readers there expect more thorough informative articles. HubPages isn't necessarily meant for heavy multimedia or affiliate linking. So you can feel free to go more in-depth and shoot for something 700 words or more. (Bear in mind, you have no need to write this much, if your topic doesn't need it.)

Sites like Squidoo are perfect for videos, pictures, links, and affiliate links. The text is important, no doubt, but you might actually have more success with less text and more videos and pictures. For Squidoo, you can shoot for 300 words, which can be combined across different text modules.

These are general guidelines, which you can adjust as you see fit, but it should help you get going.

For centuries, people knew that gold was the same thing as money. Within countless civilizations, the money that circulated on a day to day basis was often either gold itself, as gold and silver coins, or a currency backed by gold. The general population's image of gold was altered considerably during the 20th century. For example, the US dollar had been connected to gold since its inception. But soon after the formation of the Federal Reserve, the connection between the dollar and gold began to change. After the gold standard was abandoned, the US dollar became what is generally known as a fiat currency, which means that it is just a paper currency and only has value because the government says it does. Many other nations have adopted identical policies, and we now are now living in a world filled with paper currencies, which are all susceptible to inflation and devaluation. In order to carry out these tests, you will want fine-grained ruler that has millimeter markings plus an accurate scale that can weigh in grams. As a substitute, there is also a very useful gadget known as the Fisch Tester that can test all of these things for you. It comes with a coin-shaped recess used for checking shape, a slot for checking a coin's thickness and diameter, and a fulcrum to check a coin's weight. Alchemy - Can a Study of Attempts by Alchemists to Turn Base Metal Into Gold Help You Achieve Goals?

Alchemy has been described as a unique mixture of science, religion and philosophy combined with elements of mysticism.

The ancient Alchemists were serious medieval scientists with an extensive knowledge of chemistry. Not only were they familiar with every chemical process available at the time, they made every effort to improve their expertise in this field.

What distinguished the ancient alchemists from other scientists at the time, was their with their burning - almost obsessive - desire to discover secret transmuting agents and chemical processes that would enable them to transform inferior base metals such as lead and iron into gold.

In striving to achieve this objective they were motivated by two factors: Firstly, their scientific curiosity and the need to demonstrate that the transmutation of inferior base metals into gold was possible, even though this was something other scientists ridiculed.

Secondly - and probably even more important - they were driven by an overpowering inner conviction that there was a strange mystical association between gold and certain spiritual values. This metaphysical approach to their work was something they never abandoned.

Alchemists were convinced that there was a symbolism between gold and important spiritual and philosophical concerns such as death, eternity and resurrection.

Because of the durability of gold and its amazing quality of permanence, Alchemists believed by changing inferior base metals into gold by secret chemical processes, they would discover the "philosopher's stone". This would provide them with the "elixir of life", a mysterious substance that would cure illnesses, lengthen life and perhaps grant immortality.

Although the Alchemists finally failed in their attempts to transform inferior base metals into gold, the scientific world owes a great deal to these medieval scientific discoverers.

Not only did these medieval scientific investigators influence the development of scientific study in the field of chemistry, they also made a significant contribution to psychology and philosophy.

Jung's assessment of the importance of Alchemy,

The eminent psychologist Jung recognized the role spiritual and psychological influenced played in the work of the alchemists and made the following favorable comments about alchemy in his essay "The Ego and the Unconscious".

"It would be an unpardonable depreciation of value if were to accept
the current view and reduce the striving of the alchemists to the level
of the smelting furnace. Certainly this aspect belonged to it. It
represented the beginnings of early chemistry. But it also had a
spiritual side which from the psychological standpoint must never
be underestimated...."

It is also interesting to reflect on the fact although the ancient alchemists never managed to achieve their goal of changing inferior base metals, scientific advances may one day prove that it technically possible.

All seawater contains gold in solution. Seawater yields about one gram of gold per ton. It is at present technically possible, but not commercially viable, to extract gold from seawater. Perhaps modern scientists may one day discover a method that may make it possible to produce this form of gold profitably.

What Happened to the Alan Greenspan Philosophy of the 60's

Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve (1987-2006), in my estimation is the leading culprit of the economic mess we are currently in. Greenspan's loose monetary policy and unbelievably low interest rates are what caused the lending standards to become much less stringent and invariably caused the housing bubble of 2004-2006 and the recession a couple of years later.

However, after reading Mr. Greenspan's writings from the mid-60's you'd never believe this is the same man.

In a piece he wrote in the Objectivist in 1966 titled "Gold and Economic Freedom", Greenspan lays out a perfect case fo gold and the dangers of an fiat monetary system.

Here he made the perfect case against the massive credit expansion by central banks and the bubbles that were produced since 1913. He also discusses historically how central banks have refused to raise interest rates because it is not "politically expedient". He uses the example of the Bank of England in the late 20's.

He also warned on the dangers of deficit spending where a central bank is the friend of the welfare and warfare (my words) state and how the same people who love deficit spending were the enemies and despised the gold standard. To quote Greenspan, "A substantial part of the confiscation is effected by taxation. But the welfare statists were quick to recognize that if they wished to retain political power, the amount of taxation had to be limited and they had to resort to programs of massive deficit spending, i.e., they had to borrow money, by issuing government bonds, to finance welfare expenditures on a large scale."

He also talked extensively on how gold is the only way to protect peoples savings from inflation.

This was an incredibly articulate and lucid thesis by the former Chairman. In my opinion he was right on. So what happened?

During his tenure as Fed Chairman, he ignored every principle he espoused decades earlier. Was it the pressure, the politics, the President(s)...only he knows for sure.

One thing I am pretty positive of is Mr. Greenspan knows in his heart the damage he has caused because at one time he did know better.

Gold has always been a material that people valued, either for its precious look, or for its properties. Just like in real life, fictional characters have also chased gold, and even a history of gold in literature can be written.

The yellow metal plays an important role in Oriental literature. Ancient stories contain lavish descriptions of jewelry almost entirely made out of gold and precious diamonds. Just like nowadays, gold was a sign of aristocracy, just that, in the old days, it was almost exclusively a mark of nobility.

Ancient Egyptian literature is rich in descriptions of gods, goddesses, but also pharaohs covered in gold and there are mentions of this metal as being the flesh of the gods. This is understandable since gold was one of the first metals to be exploited in the region and buying gold was common. Moreover, in the beginning, coins were used as standardized pieces of precious metal and they acquired a value of their own only later on.
