How to copy executable file CD to computer - the easy way

Recently, i had requested the IT executive in my workplace for Visio software to be installed in my computer. It takes ~~ages!~~ quite a while for him to finally get the installation CD. I went to his desk and acquired the CD along with its registration key.

Now when i try to put the CD into the CD/DVD drive i found out that my CPU did not install with CD-ROM drive! i never noticed this before until recently! (i suspect the IT guy take away the CD-ROM for his benefit and leave my PC cripple when initially giving me a new PC for my desk). I've told him about the matter and he laugh and said he did not realised it (erk..).

Anyway, i cant wait for him to find a CD-ROM to be installed in my CPU, it could take ~~another ages!~~ awhile. So, i thought i be a little creative and copy the CD in another PC with CD-ROM and put it in a pen drive and transfer it to my computer. Actually it is doable, as long as you copy the whole files in the CD, just the matter of what method you use.

Now this is a fail method to copy the CD to the PC, which i applied initially.
1. right click the CD drive and click 'explore' to browse the whole files in the CD (You can't double click the CD drive because it will execute the installation, what you want is to see the whole files in the CD, this is how you can do it).
2. Select all the files and copy it to the pendrive/ to the PC.
3. Insert the pen drive in another PC in attempt to execute the files.

However, the executable files can't be execute for installation because a message 'cannot detect the executable file' shows up when attempt to run the installation.

This is how you should do it. Its very simple.
1. Open my computer > locate the CD drive.
2. Do nothing. Just straight away right click the CD drive with the CD in it, and click copy.
3. Paste it in the pen drive or in your PC.

Transfer it to another computer that you want to install it and voila! you can double click the installation file and it should be executable.
This is convenient when you want to store the files in the pen drive for easy portable purpose instead of the round shape CD or if you dont have CD-ROM installed in your CPU like my PC at work *both hands on shoulder and roll eyes*.

Solving sweaty armpit - antiperspirant and deodorant product review

I have sweating problem for as long as i can remember. My sister was the first person that i can remember to bring out this matter on me. One day, she said i have body odor and asked me to put on some deodorant to cover B.O. I thought maybe its because of hitting puberty issues with unbalance hormone or some sort that make me sweat a lot.

Ever since, i have been persist on using them but still it did not solve the sweating problem. its not long enough that a friend of mine introduced me antiperspirant deodorant. From his explanation i realised that i've been using the wrong product to control my sweating problem.

Antiperspirant contain aluminium chlorohydrate that prevent sweating by affecting sweat gland. By applying it at the underarm, it controls the sweat gland under it and prevent excessive sweating. While deodorant give it a pleasant smell. So if you want to buy deodorant product to control sweating, be sure to look for 'anti-perspirant' tag on it because deodorant only can't prevent you from not sweating!

Now i had used several product at the past to see which one is working for me. I had used Sanex demo intensive anti-perspirant deodorant. Of all the antiperspirant and deodorant product that i used, this is the most satisfying smell for me. Although it did not really help me much in controlling my sweaty armpit, it smells very good!

Most of the time, it did not bother me when i start to sweat because the smell getting stronger as i sweat which give pleasant smell to the surrounding. However, its ultimate down point is its lack of white mark control especially on the cloth. This had made me stop using it for good, all my cloth have white mark at the underarm.

Axe, who did not know this?! with outstanding commercial Axe want you to believe that girls will jump to you by using their product. I was a bit influenced by the advertisement *laugh hard*! I used the Axe dark temptation deodorant body spray as my first try to Axe product. Indeed its smell are undeniably sexy not to mention delicious inspired by the scent of chocolate!

This is not an anti-perspirant, rather it only give fragrance of smell to the body. So sweaty armpit is unavoidable. If this give the ability to control sweat, then this is my choice of signature smell.

Next is Adidas men deodorant action 3 anti-perspirant. I used the 'fresh deo spray' which is the one in blue colour. From previous experience, white control is really a major concern for me in choosing antiperspirant product and Adidas action 3 deliver just that with anti-whitening features! There is no white mark on my shirt which very satisfy me.

However, this too can't control much of my sweating problem. i often still sweat in the office although it is air conditioned room but because of its deodorant effect, it left me odorless and that is acceptable. it smells are not what i really like either.

Now im using Rexona men quantum anti-perspirant deodorant spray (green colour). ~~To tell the truth i have not much to say about this product because i just started using it. All i can give is its first impression~~. OK i used long enough and here's a little update. In term of smell, it does have pleasant smell although (for me) not as pleasant as Sanex demo intensive anti-perspirant deodorant but (for me) its definitely smell better than Adidas action 3.

Then come to the crucial part for white control, the only product that says it have white control is the blue colour Rexona for men 'invincible ice'. I'm not sure if this do not leave white mark on your cloth, i just have to use it longer enough to know if it does. If you happen to know if it did or not, then you might want to tell me, so that i can change to other before i spoil my shirt! It does leave white stain on the t-shirt under the armpit, sadly.

How to uninstall Matlab 7 from Windows 7 - Guaranteed

I've installed Matlab 7 on my laptop long time ago mostly for doing my assignment. But now i hardly open it and considering to uninstall the program plus the matlab.exe application is detected by my Kaspersky antivirus as a virus everytime i start up my laptop which is very irritating. What i don't know initially before installing the program is that Matlab 7 is not compatible with Windows 7! But miraculously i managed to install and run it without problem on my Windows 7.

Now the problem occur when uninstalling Matlab 7 from Windows 7. When trying to uninstall Matlab 7 a message "exception calling main" shows up and stop the uninstall process. I've read the forums, mathwork website and tried some recommendations that works for them but unfortunately not for me.

I've tried some of these recommendations (that is not working for me):
1. change the program compatibility to Windows 2000 or anything since it is not compatible with Windows 7 and try uninstall Matlab 7.
2. install other uninstall program to remove Matlab 7 like revo uninstaller.
3. find and run lmtools.exe at the Matlab folder and stop the license then uninstall Matlab 7. (i can't find my license though)

Then i came across a forum on how to install Matlab 7 on Windows 7. Well i've already have Matlab 7 running on my Windows 7 laptop obviously so why bother reading through the post, but one post captured my interest saying that changing the windows 7 theme to windows classic will enable Matlab 7 installation on Windows 7. Then it strike my mind that if that is possible maybe it works the other way around too, to uninstall it. So i went to do a little bit of that and a little bit of this and Voila! It works like a charm!

Sorry for the long babbling. Basically you just need to change the Windows 7 theme to Windows Classic and the uninstall program will run just fine. So if you don't know how to change the Windows 7 theme, here is the instruction:

1. Right click at the desktop > click personalize > Scroll down to the bottom of the window screen > click Windows Classic.
2. Now uninstall Matlab 7. Click Start > Matlab7 > Uninstall.

Hope this help. Tell me if this works for you.

Malaysia Vs Lebanon 2-1 - Olympic qualification

Its football Olympic qualifying. Do Malaysia have it take to win against Lebanon to qualify for grouping placing? Who will win? Its all ended with a splendid win with Malaysia 2 - 1 against Lebanon.

A remarkable play by Malaysia in the first half of the game scored 2 goals by Irfan Fazail at 9th minutes and Wan Zack Haikal at 42th minutes. In the second half, Malaysia bets on defensive play with left 10 players on the field while Lebanon try their best to break the zero number. Lebanon scored their sole goal at 64th minutes by Chadi Atie.
With additional 3 minutes injury time, Malaysia stay on game and won it with 2 -1.

This is what i have to say, first of all congratulation! ok thats it. Now, Malaysia needs to redefine its players in term of physical. The players are smaller compared to other. Yes Asian can't get any bigger than the Caucasian but the physical limitation really give Malaysia football players disadvantage. With smaller size, momentum, speed and stamina takes extra energy to keep up. I am not underestimate the small size people, but let's face it, it can't get any true than it is. Malaysia needs bigger player, in fact this is needed in other sport too.

Now next get rid of the players with attitude problem, i mean those who can't control of their emotion; anger and such, which happen in the game. These players only bring havoc to the game plus its a sore to the eyes. Otherwise, the coach or manager can have whatever session like anger management for example to the players.

Lastly, theres a twitter comment i would like to share which i think WTH!?

If this person is at the medieval time where there are witches, he sure be stone to death, or if he is at the middle East, he is sentence to be headed in front of the public. Just look at what he tweeted, he got it all wrong. if he follow the match by watching television then i bet he is blind or if he listening to the radio then he is deaf, i mean seriously don't you want to know who the person is?

Proham - Malaysia new human right organisation

I came across to an article in freemalaysiatoday.com and it caught my eyes. Its about Proham. Now what is Proham? If you don't know already like i am, but now i do so will you, Malaysia has a new human rights organisation and its called Proham - The association for the promotion of Human Rights. Proham is established by former members of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) and the Royal Police Commission. Among its objective are

to promote human rights among the people of Malaysia, the rights of indigenous people and ethnic minorities and to engage with the government on the ratification of UN Human Rights instruments and treaties.

Thumbs up and 100% support. Indigenous people in this country had been suppressed for so long for over their land, cheated and used, especially for those who live at the rural place where they lack of political exposures and information or whatsoever about this country. Even the government take this as an opportunity to trick them to hand over their land with sweet promises but in the end strike with sour and bitter outcome, take the Bakun dam project as an example.

Although Malaysia is a part of the UN members but Malaysia interest was never fully into the UN Human Rights agreement especially when it come to UNHCR - UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Now you need to make things clear the difference between refugee and PTI (pendatang tanpa izin) or illegal migrant.

Refugee is people that forced to leave from a place or a country to seek for refuge, place or other country to hide from political or social problem from their original place. To give them a choice, they would never leave their place and leave their family if not threaten to be killed or captured or other casualties due to their country's political issues. Illegal immigrant on the other hand leave their country or place willingly to seek a better job opportunity or live to survive.

Now, UN ask its member to make a shelter to refugee in their country to protect and give them attentions to medical, education, job supports etc. But Malaysia did not take any initiative to do so.

There are no refugee camp in Malaysia. Most refugees in Malaysia live in cramped, small flats or houses in cities and towns across Malaysia. It is common for refugee groups to share living spaces with up to 40 due to cost and security.

However, in the article, Proham said

Proham will make recommendations to the relevant bodies and ask them to execute it. We can’t execute our findings – this is the role of parliamentarians to ensure that implementations are taken seriously.

and after that followed with an interesting statement by the author inside the article which i think is also true is

We all know what recommendations mean in Malaysia: talk and no action.

But as you read on, you feel that the author of the article is kind of rejecting this forming of new human right organisation by saying

Dear Proham, Malaysia doesn’t need a third voice for human rights. It needs a brave and bold group who will not offer cryptic answers and make recommendations that will not see the light of day at Parliament and will eventually gather dust on the shelf where other recommendations have gone to die.

Well i got to disagree with the author. Proham make a good intention of proclaiming to Malaysia to accept the idea and objectives. In hope more and more people are aware of Human Rights in general and eventually change the law or policy in Malaysia or just the perception about it if not in whole. It is better than to keep silence and let the issue accumulate which in turn brings trouble and danger threat to the country. Just look what happen about the hacking Malaysia website issue if not related to human rights.

This is becoming more and more interesting. The Anonymous is not talking empty, in fact they really do it! This is a red code sign for Malaysia government to really think it over about its rules and policy especially about human freedom and human rights which they really lack of.

Currently the hacked website did not change the content of the website nor expose top information regarding the website. The hacked website is not more than blocked from member accessibility as well as the government.

Imagine what could happen if the Anonymous do expose some valuable information about the country, it would be disastrous. Perhaps if that happen maybe the government will take this issue seriously. i mean for the government to really make human freedom and human rights a serious matter for the sake of the people in this country.

Anonymous hacking Malaysia government website!?

Breaking news! A group of hackers which named themselves as Anonymous are targeting Malaysia government website. The operation is called Operation Malaysia. They even come up with a picture with the exact date and time to hack the website as shown above.
Anyone have info about them? have the operation succeeded?

They also uploaded a video at youtube about their motive, stating that Malaysia censorship take away human freedom. See more in the video.

Free Realms TCG

GI'm plying as a card duelist in Free Realms. I'm instantly drawn by it's rules and strategy.
However there are some rules that i consider need to be revised.

I consider myself as an experienced TCG player. I've been playing TCG for almost 6 years now.
The first TCG i play was Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Since then, i've been playing any TCG that i came to know.
I had played Magic The Gathering (MTG), Duel Master, Pokemon TCG and even some in-game card game like final fantasy.

I had a great collection of the cards. I have friends that have the same interest as me in card game to play with.
I even play TCG games on pc as well as online just to have pleasure playing with others who have their passion on card games.

Hence, for an optimum pleasure playing Free Realms TCG, there are some parts that i think needs changes.
such as the win a score card and draw a card for gems in the deck card.

By implimenting these rules, it wasting the cards in the deck whereby whenever a player declare an attack, one have to flip a card from the deck to get the gems specified.
When a player's monster card win against the oppenent's monster card, a card also will be drawn from the deck to ack as a tribute for the monster card.

This is my review about Free Realms TCG. However i enjoyed playing the card game in Free Realms.

Free Realms is an online web based 3D RPG. I play it out of boredom and need to spend my holiday for my semester break. I had played several online MMORPG and need something different whereby i can play instantly and directly from my internet browser. Hence, i start off with Free Realms.
However, This game is an open beta, it'a free to play but not entirely though, to unlock some jobs and stuff, player need to buy in real cash.
The Free Realms staff member had stated that once its a final version, your open beta character will not be deleted.
So, it's safe to play now without to worry your character will be deleted and start over again.

What i like about this game is its stunning graphic, smoth character movement and wide variety of jobs a person can play.
player can choose to become a ninja, medic, postman, pet trainer, soccer star, kart rider, a traveller, wizard, archer and card duelist which the job i am playing on my character.

In the beginning, player can choose to becaome a human or a pixie. There are no different in term of skills and status for both character. In fact, there are no such specification in this game!
All player start at zero and they can choose what to become in the beginning of the game. it is possible for players to become all of the jobs provided!

Like the rest RPGs, there are quest for each jobs. Doing quest are easy in Free Realms. To go to the quest destination that asked for, players can just click the "Take me there" button and the character will navigate itself to the location!
It save players' time to search for the quest location.

This is a personal free advertise on Free Realms, I'm not paid for doing so.
This game is a "not hurt to try" game, its good to kill some time.
I'm never bored by the graphic, everything is beautiful.

Rohingyas, urgent attention

For such a long time, now the issue had arised about the Rohingyas or the refugees in Malaysia. i believe this matter had been bothered Malaysia for years but yet Malaysia take no action according to this matter
other than capturing and torturing them before deporting them to the Malaysia-Thai border to send them back to their country.

The mentality of Malaysia cannot differentiate between refugees and illegal imigrants
Illegal imigrants willingly leave their country to find a better job and life in other country while
refugees did not choose to be in other country in the first place but they are forced to because of the political problem in their country.

This is true base on my personal experience to the refugee center at Kuala Lumpur last November 2008. After a little conversation with them, they revealed their sad story
In order to survive from the political problem in their country, flee to other country such as Malaysia seems the only option they have
although they did not have the intention to do so.

And yet when they are in Malaysia, the government authority threat them as a criminal and send them into jail
without knowing their condition and problem. This happened not only to the adult but also to the young.

Malaysia as what having advertised as "Truly Asia" in the mass media only shows the physical part of its beauty.
The inner true self of Malaysia is indeed lied beneath the surface by the pretty advertisements.
If Malaysia is a "Truly Asia" then maybe some approaches can be make regarding to this problem.
rather than to rely on the UN for solution.

In fact, the UNHCR (United Nation High Commission Right) had been urging Malaysia to protect the refugees during crackdown.

and yet Malaysia have not approved the UNHCR declaration on the refugees up to this day and keep violating their rights.

Refugees (like Rohingyas) in Malaysia had become an issue where the politics thought that it is a burden for them to have undocumented people (the refugess in whole) roaming in the country
UN long ago had offered a solution for Malaysia to solve this regional problem through UNHCR declaration on refugees but Malaysia had yet to take it seriously

Now the rate of refugees (in general not only the Rohingyas) entering Malaysia had increas and then Malaysia is struggling to ease the chaos by sending them back to the Malaysia-Thai border
and not caring that they will be towed to the sea by boat by the Thai authority
when it not going any better Malaysia hoping UN for help. here shown a cycle that probably will not have an end.

what the best decision and solution for Malaysia?
It's up for the present politics to decide and we as the citizen just hope for a better politics for a better future

'Allah' in Herald

For such a long time argument, finally positive result towards so called free practice in religious in Malaysia were shown.
As if the words are just words and unpractical in reality.
Well, this is a good first step towards truly multicultural and religious country.

The word 'Allah' (God) which has been restricted to be used by the Christian in Malaysia last year had been allowed to be used again.

SALT - School of Acting justly, Loving tenderly and Treading humbly with God

SALT is a program conducted by the MJCC (Malacca-Johore catholic centre) to the university catholic student basically for some purposes which are
to cultivating sense of solidarity to the marginalized in our society, interpretation and analysis the theological reflection national, regional and globalrealities such as migrantion people, human trafficking and so on.

The program start from 23 Nov to 8 Dec 2008 and the venue is in Malacca. When i first joined SALT, my only intention is to kill my time during the sem break holiday as well as to have vacation in Malacca
but this program is beyond of that expectation and i am enjoying my stay here with both mix of my own personal intention and the expectation out from this program.

A total of 26 people had joined this SALT program. All of us come from various universities and different states. apart from MJCC, some of us also come from KLCC and PCC.
Generally, the program last for 2 weeks and we live together like brother and sister along the time. A lot of programs had been prepared for us such as talks. exposure, examen and also movies.

Chin Refugee Centre

Chin Refugee (Myanmar) Centre

On 28-30 November 08, me with my friend Edna visited the Myanmar Chin Refugee Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The purpose we do this trip is to expose ourselves to the livelihood of the refugee in Malaysia.

For your information, Malaysia did not recognize the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission For Refugees) convention, which means that Malaysia did not allow the refugee to have shelter in the country.
Hence, the refugees in Malaysia live with constant fear because they afraid to get caught by the police or RELA.

This is the flag of the Chin state in Myanmar. Edna and me were just arrived at the Chin refugee centre office.

For the two days exposure in the centre, we visited Chin families around the place, talking and make conversation, go to the hospital to visit their own sick people, to their school and basically live with them under one roof.

The purpose is that we want to experience their lifestyle and most important is to know their hardship that they faced. Some of them are educated holding a degree and even a master degree and speak English very well.

During our stay, we get to know their culture. We ate their food, seen their traditional dance, heard them sing song in their own language and even wear their traditional costume.

Although our visit to the Chin refugee centre is short, but we have heard their story, seen their lifestyle, taste heir food and experienced their life as a refugee here in Malaysia. They are human and have the right to be treat kindly and justly as a human being.

They did not choose to leave their own country and be as a refugee in other country. It's just that because of their unstable politic back in their own country that made them unable to live a peaceful and normal life with their families and friends.

They even threatened to be kill and being pushed to do forced labor and without paid in their country. In fact a lot of them was killed by the military in their country because they did not followed order from their government. Hence, this condition has made them to be an asylum seeker to find temporary shelter in other country.

But some country like Malaysia did not allow them to seek shelter in the country because they did not recosnise the UNHCR and keep violating their human rights without simpaty and consideration.

I hope malaysia will reach out their hand especially the government to help the refugee because they need help in term of education, health care, and daily needs to survive untill their country is settle down so that they can go back to their own country.

Malaysian should be open minded and accept them because they are also human being same as you and me the creation of God and we should take care of each other regardless of gender and race and try to help them in any ways. help them voice out their problem to the world is a good step to begin with.

Have you done any research about LOA yet? the principle of LOA is how our mind set works.
Our desire made reality by simply attracting the situation as we think and make believe that it will happen, so as they say. (healing.about.com)

But according to Norman Vincent Peale, an author in his book 'The Power of Positive Thinking' stated that, LOA is much more than the mind. The law of the universe itself is God.
I do believe his word.

"whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it shall be done for you." (Mark 11:24)

The verse from the Bible had already tought us the power of faith, to believe in yourself and to Him and whatever we ask for we will get it. That is the promise of the gospel it ain't just words.

For me and maybe others as well, believe that LOA works with prayers. With God's help nothing is impossible. Here another great verse in the Bible.

"everything is possible for him who believe." (Mark 9:23)

Hence, with so much assuring words from God Himself, we should believe and put our trust in Him for everything we want through prayers. Our prayer will made reality that the promise of our God in His gospel.

Sometimes we lost our faith and negative thought surrounded us, it can't be avoid because we were just human, we are fragile and easily shaken by the environment.
When this unwanted feeling arise, we can't no longer think positive, and we can't practice LOA.
A powerful word in the Bible come in handy to regain our faith and stay focus on our goal.

"I can do all thing through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13)

Repeats this word daily before you go to sleep, say it 5 times and let the word sink into your unconcious mind. The next day morning you wake up and say it again.
You'll be surprise how these simple word can change you and before you know it, you gain control of your life in every decision you make.

Try LOA and your life will be not the same, it become better. Try it and let me know if it changes you. There are no guarantee that your life will change instantaniously, practice and to have faith to God needs commitment.
