We have been enjoying spring here on the west coast as we travel our way up

California and into Oregon.

One of our stops was Napa, California.

Miles and Miles of Vineyards.

So many Wineries so little time.

If you would like more details of our travels up the coast you can stop by my

Husbands blog. He's so much better at writing that technical stuff then me.

We have landed here in Oregon now.

And will be making our final stop for the summer in just a few days.

I know this is my second post this week.

I'm as shocked as you are but I've been wanting to

play along with some of my favorite Meme's.

Back when we were in Imperial Beach, CA we were backed up to a

fence and that fence was covered in these beautiful Morning Glories.

On the other side of the fence was a Bird Refuge.

On most days we didn't see too many birds.

Just these red finches every now and then.

And then when least expected I saw him there.

Yep, Right there on the other side of the fence.

A Great Blue Heron. I'm pretty sure he was checking me out. LOL

He didn't hang around too long.

I guess he saw I had my camera and he was off.

What an awesome wing span this guy had.

So glad to have Nancy back, Now I just have to get in the groove

of posting randomness. LOL So here we go

1. We are a little bit further up the California coast in San Luis Obispo

2. We are making our way up to Oregon for our summer hosting job.

It starts on April 1. Yep April fools day, I hope that's not a bad sign.

3. I am pretty excited about this hosting job as it is right on the Ocean.

4. The draw back will be the towns that are close by are really small.

So it will be a drive to do our shopping.

5. The best part is that it is only a 3 hour drive to Portland.

And we all know who's in Portland right.

Hello lovely Friends

It's been a busy couple of weeks for us.

We have been busy making our way up the state of California.

Man this is one long state and we aren't even half way up the state.

But with relaxing views like this, we have been enjoying it every step of the way.

We are parked in Lompoc, CA right now and sad to say there is no ocean view.

So we jump in our truck and find the closest beach to Lompoc,

which is Jalama Beach.

This beach did not disappoint.

I can't think of a better way to spend the day than

walking the beach collecting shells and trying to get photo's of Birds.

Look at this guy. It took me awhile to grab a shot of him.
I tried to look up what kind of bird this fella is and I came up with a Whimbrel.
He sure is fun to watch as he buries that beak into the sand looking for food.

Then at the end of the day stopping at the beach cafe and grabbing a burger.
Life is simply sweet my friends.

A bit of a stretch but I have to say this was pretty heavenly.

I wanted to start off by saying
THANK YOU
so much for all your wonderful comments on my last post.
I sure did enjoy reading all your thoughts on
the subject of where you would like to live.

*******

If you have been following me for awhile you probably know I love to take photos of

flowers, birds, bees, plants, trees, you get the idea I'm a bit of a nature freak.

I'm pretty sure I like taking these types of photos because I love being outdoors and
I love all the natural light the outdoors offers.

Here in Blogland I do enjoy seeing all the beautiful still life photos
that some of you guys create. I used to do a bit more
of the still life type of photos when I lived in a home with better lighting.
In our little RV the light is not so good.

All that being said I still gave it a try.
When we were in Palm Springs we got to go out and pick a
whole lot of lemons with my hubbies Uncle and Aunt.
We had so many lemons I didn't know what to do with them all.
Of course we made some lemon-ade.

You know with all these lemons I had to take some photos of them.
It was fun playing around trying to get them to look pretty.

It still wasn't the the wonderful light like I used to have.
But with every window open and every light in the RV on,
they turned out alright.

Well a little update for those of you who like to
follow us around... we left Imperial beach and have landed
on a Military Base near Oceanside, California.
Camp Pendleton is a beautiful place to camp for a few days.
We are lucky to have friend who
are retired military who like to share these campsites with us.

Thinking Out Loud..

When we started on this adventure of ours,

it was to get out of Vegas. I had lived in Las Vegas for most

of my life and was ready for a change.

We both loved RV'ing and my in-laws were

full time RV'ers for 8 years. I used to love to listen to their

travel stories and we both knew it was something we wanted to do.
We have been full time RV'ing for two years come May.
Can't believe it's been that long already.

Of course one day we will settle down and buy that perfect little dream house.

But where? There in lies the question that we love to discuss over our morning cups of coffee.

Rural or City???

To tell you the truth I am attracted to both types of life styles.

I do love the hum of a busy city with lots to keep you occupied.

BUT

The slow pace of the country style life

sure does sound mighty good as well.

So as we travel around to cities and out to the country.

We keep this question in mind..

Rural or City??

This is a shot from our evening walk down to the Ocean the other night.
I'm thinking the perfect place to live would be a little bungalow right here by the beach.
Does anyone have an extra million they could spare?

So what if you had the choice to live anywhere.
Do you live there? Do you even know for sure where that would be?
Would you choose the big city life or out in the country.

I Can see clearly now.

I had a whole different post in mind for this week, But had to switch it up at the last minute.

After all the fog we had last week, I thought it would be the

perfect topic for this week's challenge over at

Song-ography

The song title this week is

"I can see clearly now"

We have had no rain since the first week we were here in Imperial Beach.

But we did get some pretty heavy fog. Lots of it.

It was so crazy how fast this fog came in. When we first started

off on our walk down to the beach it was perfectly clear. But blocks before we got

to the ocean you could see the fog rolling in. And by the time we made it down there

it was so thick we could barely see 20 feet in front of us.

I know what you are thinking. So what's a little bit of fog.

Me being from Las Vegas we didn't get to see fog very often.

So it is a kinda cool for me to see it. As long as I don't have to drive in it.

The last couple of days we have had no more fog.

So as the song goes,

"I can see clearly now the FOG is gone."

or something like that. LOL..

This lady on the bike was collecting seashells.
I was a little bit nervous about taking her photo because she kept looking up at me,
But I could have always said I was snapping a photo of the pier. Right...

It's all about Color.
I'm sharing some photos of when we were in Austin, Texas.
Once again I do believe it is perfect for the Prompt.

This is called the Baylor Street Art Wall.
But there is way more than just a wall. Graffiti is everywhere or Art or both. lol

It was an old building that had never finished being built.

And the Art begins.

Some of it is really good.

I had to climb up to get to this sign.

BE HAPPY!

It was a bit scary getting up to it. But I was up for the challenge.
We heard on the news that they were closing this down due to the traffic.
It is right in the middle of a neighborhood and has become a real headache
for the people living in that neighborhood.
I totally get that..

Hello Friends

How are you all doing?

We are still here in the San Diego area of California,
for those of you who know the area we are in Imperial Beach.
The most southwest you can get in the states.
The best thing about being here this time of the year is the weather.

No shortage of finding things in Bloom in this part of the country.

The hardest part is to grab a shot that's doesn't have a

bit of a blur in. That's due to the Ocean breeze.

I do love that bit of moisture that is always in the air.

Life since we got here has been anything but ordinary.

It's a pretty laid back atmosphere here.

Which I could get totally used to.

I haven't gotten much of anything done.

You think I would have finished a book or a knitting project by now.

Maybe a little bit of baking. Heck I haven't even taken too many photos.

We spend our days combing the beach and enjoying the fresh air.

Taking hikes and going to bed way to early.

These last two shots were taken from my cell phone from a Hike we

did yesterday. The hike was recommended to me by an Instag,ram friend.

And I have to say it did not disappoint. The end of the hike was here at the Ocean.

So friends, we are only here for 3 more weeks so you know where you can find me.

Hello my friends

I had every intention on writing this post last night but that didn't

happen. I got caught up watching the Celebrity Apprentice. Do you watch?

I really don't watch it faithfully, but I have caught an episode here and there.

It's kinda entertaining.

We finally made it to Southern California about 4 days ago and I have to say

the weather has been heavenly. I can see why my hubby was pushing so hard for

us to stay here for a month. But not all has gone as planned.

We were supposed to be in an RV park in Mission Bay.

We couldn't get in..

WHAT THE HECK

It's all right..

Move on to plan B.

Having such a Big Rig makes it kinda tough,

We can't just get into any campground now.

We ended up in a park we had stayed at about 3 years ago.

and all is Good in our world.

We are about 7 blocks from Imperial Beach which we have been taking

full advantage of. We have been taking early evening walks and catching the sunset.

So it's not always easy flying by the seat of your pants.

But don't panic, take deep breaths and have faith that all will turn out all right,
and sometimes even better.

Imagine all the People, Living for today..

I love this Beatles song and it is the song title this week
over at Song-ography. The crazy thing is, I know every word to this song but
never really paid attention to the meaning..

To tell you the truth I do hope there is a Heaven and Hell.
I think it keeps us just a little bit honest if you know what I mean.
But I sure do love the idea of living for today..

We were on our way to California and got side tracked..

We made a stop in Quartzsite, AZ. The plan was just to stay one night and visit some

friends. That's the good part of being retired, We just fly by the seats of our pants.

So 3 days later we are still here with all the Crazy RVer's here Quartzsite.

I keep telling my husband the ocean is calling,

But we have one more change in our plans. We are thinking about

spending a couple of days in Palm Springs now. Its on the way and we

have never been there. So why not. I guess the ocean will have to wait.

Happy "2015"

As you can imagine a lot has happened since my last post.

We left the great state of Texas and made our way back to Las Vegas.

We have been here for almost a month and I have to tell you it has been

a whirlwind since we got here. Not only the business of the Holiday's and catching

up with friends and family, we also had to catch up on all our doctors

appointments since we won't be back here for awhile.

For those of you who are here for the first time we are full time RVer's.

Enjoying our life on the road trying to figure out exactly where we would love to settle down.

I've had a hard time keeping up with my blog as you all know but I really don't

have the heart to let it go completely. So I am thinking if I join in some

Challenges it would give me that kick start I need to get blogging once again.

I thought I would share some photos of some pretty flowers I got from my Hubby.

for some reason Yellow is so hard for me to take photos of.

But I do love the contrast of the blue Ball jar with the yellow flowers.

Hello....

How are you?

We have settled in for a bit here in the Big State of Texas.

This is my first time here in this state and I have to say I am

pleasantly surprised. We were planing on staying near Houston area when

some proud Texans we met on the road informed us that we must stay in

Hill Country. And I am glad we took their advice.

This shot is from right here in the RV park that we are staying at in

Kerrville, TX. Since we have been here the grass has yellowed a bit but

I sure am glad we got here before that happened.

While we were here in Texas we decided it would be the perfect time to

catch a cruise. No flight expense if you know what I mean.

We had lots of fun playing with these little fella's.

They were on our stop in Honduras.

Usually I feel bad about the caged animals, but these monkeys were

not in cages they roamed free in the jungle but would come in for the free snacks the

guide would give them. Win Win for all.

Back in Texas we took a day trip over to San Antonio.

WOW.. is all I could say. We had so much fun strolling along the river walk.

And of course you can't come to San Antonio

without visiting the Alamo.

The one thing I can say about Texas is that the folks here in Texas

are about as Proud of their state than anywhere we have been so far.

They fly their Texas flag everywhere..

Kinda cool to see...

We are only here in Texas for another week and a half.

We are headed back to Vegas to celebrate Christmas with our Families.

We have been on the move since we left Colorado

So just in case you were wondering where we have been,

Not all the leaves have changed here in

Hot Springs Arkansas.

We have been getting out and doing lots of hiking.

This particular trail was in Branson, Missouri.

Hard to believe this trail was not too far from downtown.

This is probably one of the most beautiful chapels I have seen.

Hello Y'All

That's how they greet you here in Missouri.

We just pulled into Missouri yesterday and what a beautiful drive it was.

We had come from a beautiful little state park just outside of

Memphis, Tennessee. Once again we were without internet while we

were there but WOW what a beautiful place to be stuck with no Internet.

When we left Colorado the leaves were all starting to change.
I just love this time of year.

In Rocky Mt. National Park we got to see the aspens change.

Lots of Beautiful hiking there as well.

If you're ever in Colorado you must go to Rocky Mt National park.

But here in Tennessee and Missouri it seems like fall has just arrived.

Still lots and lots of green everywhere. With a sprinkling of fall colors.

Did I tell you how much I LOVE this time of year.

We will be here in Missouri for a week.
I have a little sister who lives here that I'm hoping to meet up with.

A little peek of the spot we had in Meeman-Shelby state park.
So many trees we could barely get our slides open.

We did get a new RV.. Been trying to come up with a new name.
I LOVED the name of our old Rig.. "BIG BERTHA"
Might just have to go with Big Bertha 2..

Seems just like yesterday...

Hello Friends. I do hope everyone is doing well.

It's been so long since I posted I almost forgot how to do it.

I had started this post about a dozen times to share
how our summer was going. Well as you know that never happened.
Either I couldn't get the photos to download or was just too busy to get
to it.. I had even taken my laptop to the library and only got half way
through my post before we had to leave. And then time just got away from
me. Very Easy to do when your in a beautiful place like Estes Park, CO

Well now that summer is over and we are well into the Fall season

I have a lot of catching up to do. I sure have missed being here on my blog.

And really missed keeping up with all of you. I am going to share some photos of

our summer and also I will share photos of whats going on now.

Now that we have left Colorado, We are on the Road once again. We have been to
quite a few places. Chicago, Kentucky and we are in Tennessee right now.
I know that full time RV'ing isn't for everyone but it most certainly is the life for us.

The things I love are seeing new places and meeting new people.
We will be on the road now for quite awhile. Six months to be exact.
So I am hoping to say in touch and blog about our journey.

While we were in Colorado the wildlife was amazing. This fella would stop by in
the morning and munch on the grass. Always a treat to watch as I sipped my Coffee in the morning.

And you know there is no shortage of these fella's

also so fun to watch.

One of the best parts of being in Colorado was that Rocky Mountain National Park
was only about a 20 minute drive. And we Loved to spend time there. The Hiking
was amazing. And if you were lucky you could get a glimpse of the wildlife
in the area. I really don't know for sure what kind of bird this is but he
was begging me to take his photo.

I have to confess the other reason I have been missing in action is that
I am knee deep in a 365-project on instagram and I am loving it.

That's the Song for this week's meme

We have been doing lots on lots of walking!

When we are not hiking around the park here, we are out exploring nearby cities.

We took a little ride over to Ft. Collins, CO.

And here are just a few photos of this quaint little city.

Lots of cute little cafes with outside seating.

No, we weren't riding. We were walking but there were plenty

of folks here who do enjoy riding.

They had painted up pianos located here and there around the city.

It would have been cool to see someone playing.

And of course a stop at the local saloon for a cold one.

The food wasn't half bad either.

Ok this shot really isn't from Ft Collins.

Its from Santa Fe, NM.. I'm throwing it in because the word is texture over at

You have to admit there's a little bit of texture here.

The humming birds love these flowers.

Wasting Time

We traveled here to Colorado to be campground hosts.

But no campers to greet yet.

Due to extreme flood damage here in the park we are still waiting for

the park to open. The repair work should begin on Monday.

So in the mean time we have this whole park to ourselves.

So we spend our days Hiking, Lots of hiking...

Exploring near by Cities.

And even doing some Volunteer clean up work.

I am still on the lookout for Fences..

I found this chain link fence with some sort of vine intertwined.

That should do for Good Fences meme..

So you know the saying

The Time you enjoy wasting.

Is not wasted time at all.

I believe it's a great saying. Don't you?

We are enjoying this journey we are on, and we are loving this wasted time.

Life in Estes Park

How is Spring treating you?

Are you enjoying all the beauty that Spring brings with it?

Such a wonderful time of year.

When we first arrived here in Estes Park, CO

I thought maybe we had come in the wrong month.

Was it really May?

That's because we got a few feet of snow!!

What!! It's May!!

We were snowed in for two days.

But I must admit I LOVED every minute of it.

We had fun taking walks and playing in the snow.

It's all gone now and we were left with all the beauty of Colorado

Yep, I do believe I am going to enjoy our time here in Estes Park.

Even if Mother Nature played a little trick on us.

I have been on the lookout for fences for Theresa's meme.

Once again I find myself having to apologize for not being around.

I do miss it when I don't get around to visit all of you. I Love to see what you are

all up to and what you have created. Does that make me a busybody.. Heehee.

So I will be playing catch up once again.

You know its pretty sad when my husband blogs more than I do. Heehee...

We are here in Estes Park and what a Beautiful Place to spend the Summer.

But before I show you photos of Estes Park I wanted to show

you some photos from our last stop in Colorado Springs.

Our Campsite was in Walking distance to Garden of the Gods.

We did Lots and Lots of hiking here.

My Husband got us a bit lost on this day of hiking.

You know we couldn't stop and ask for directions.

One reason was we couldn't find anyone.

But all was good. We found our way.

We saw lots of Magpies here in Garden of the Gods.

But they were a little camera shy.

This guy wasn't camera shy at all..

We had so much fun at the Zoo in Colorado Springs.

It brought back memories of going to the Zoo when I was a kid.

Just look at the tongue on this guy..

This little fella looks a little sad to me. Wish I could give him a hug.

We fed the parakeets.. They seemed pretty hungry.

They started snacking on my shoes.

You had to be careful not to step on them..

Hey. I didn't know I had a hole in my shoe..

Time to buy some new Chucks.

All the trees were in full bloom in this little town of Manitou Springs.

A wonderful place to visit if you're ever in Colorado Springs.

Hello Friends

It's been awhile since I posted. Did you think I fell of the face of the earth. Haha..

When I last posted we were pulling out of Moab. We have moved quit a few times since then.

Our next stop was Cortez, CO. While we were in Cortez we made a trip to Durango, CO.

We enjoyed the little town of Durango so much we pulled Big Bertha down there and stayed a

couple of more days there.

While in Durango we took a train ride. If you're ever in the area it is a must do.

We both enjoyed it so much.

Here's a photo of one of the cars on the train. Love the vintage feel it has.

We enjoyed taking walks in the cute neighborhoods of Durango.

I'm surprised to see the trees in bloom here. It was so cold in Durango!

We also made a stop at Mesa Verde National Park.

Another must see. Truly an amazing place to see.

Our next stop was Albuquerque, NM

They have a wonderful Bike path in Albuquerque which we took all the way

to the Botanical Garden they have there. That's where I grabbed this Zen shot.

Are you feeling it.

Next Stop was Santa Fe, NM. Such a cool city and a very busy place.

Lots and Lots of shopping and cool little places to eat.

I just love seeing all the Adobe buildings in Santa Fe.

And most of all the houses we saw were Adobe built as well. So cool to see.

Well that brings us up to date. I think! Hee Hee.

You know I couldn't leave you without throwing in a Macro shot.

Caught this little guy knee deep in a flower.

We are in Colorado Springs, CO right now and we will be here till next Saturday.

Our next move will be our final stop for the summer.

We will be camphost here in Colorado. We are hosting at a park that is near

Estes Park. The campground name is Hermit park.

I've been everywhere.

Do you know that Johnny Cash song?

"I've been everywhere". Well I sure haven't been everywhere, but I have been

enjoying the places that we have been. Maybe one day I'll be able to see all the places

from that song.

Last time I posted we had left Zion and we were in Moab, UT.

We spent a whole week there in Moab and enjoyed it so much.

So much to do there with so many National Parks near by.

We visited Arches and Canyonlands. Both Breathtaking parks.

We pulled out of Moab yesterday and we are now parked in a little town called

Cortez, CO. It is the City right before you get to Mesa Verde National Park.

Our stay here won't be too long. Maybe another day or two. Just flying by the seats of our

pants here.

Here are some random shots from our week.

The trees were in full bloom in Moab.

It just kept getting in the way of my shots. LOL

So much prettier in real life.

As much as I have been enjoying the scenery,

I am not a huge fan of the desert. I think its because I lived there way too long.

So I had to throw in another shot that didn't looks so deserty.. Is that a word. LOL.

Hello Friends.

As I am typing this we are in Moab, UT.

But Moab wasn't our first stop. Our first stop was Zion National Park.

We have been to Zion many times. It is a beautiful Park with lots of wonderful Hiking.

On this particular trip it was a bit cold and windy. But in the late afternoon the

wind would stop and we were able to get in some short walks.

I do have Five photos to share with you today.
All for Random Five Friday.
Even though they aren't too random. Most of them are flowers seen this week.

What a view!!!

I brought my camera along on a walk through the little town
of Springdale. I was able to get a shot of this fence.
Perfect for Theresa's meme Good Fences.

I just love this time of the year, Blooms everywhere.
Even here in Zion.

I had some fun playing with this shot in Photoshop.
I might have had too much fun. I think I over did it.

I even found some Tulips standing up and looking pretty.
I'm really surprised this shot even took. It was so windy out.
Not good for taking shots of flowers.

I have no idea what these beauties are but they were
calling out to me "Take My Picture... Take My Picture....

Totally Random Shots

I am back to share with you Five totally random shots all taken this week.

We have been in 3 different states this week believe it or not.

California, Arizona and now we are back in Nevada.

And we have a lot more traveling to do. We will be leaving on

Sunday to start our journey to our next camp-hosting job.

We have a 5 month hosting job in the beautiful state of Colorado.

We are scheduled to be there on the first day of May, So we thought

we would take our time in getting up there and stop at a few

National Parks on the way. So are you guys ready to see lots of photos

in the upcoming month.. That is if we get good phone service..

So if you don't see me around you know we have lack of coverage.

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW.

For those of you who are here for the first time, We are Full-Time RV'ers.

We have been on the road for 11 months now. Life is Good.

The sheep are back.

Not too far from my Mom's house in Arizona they have lots of farm

land.. And every spring they bring in the sheep to graze.

I kinda wonder where they are all winter long.

This little stray cat sure is a Lover.

Every time I was outside at my mom's she would follow me around.

On this particular morning she was sleeping in my mom's flower pots.

Humming Birds galore at my In-Laws house.
They Live in Arizona as well. They are pretty well fed here
and hang around all year long.

More sheep my friends.

Right after I snapped off this shot it must have spooked them,

because they all took off running.

Caught a photo of this little guy. We were out on a morning hike and saw him

on a branch.. Ran all the way back, got my camera, and by the time I got back he

was on the bottom side of the leaf.. Ran back and got my squirt bottle and sprayed

him... and sure enough he moved back up to the top of the leaf so I could snap off a shot.

My husband thought it was so mean of me to spray him. And kept giving me a hard time.

He didn't fly away so I think he liked it.

I am here to share some photo's from our trip to California.
We enjoyed the beautiful weather and had a wonderful time.

We are back in Arizona now, spending some more time with my mom.
But it won't be long till we are on the road again.

So here are my Random Five Photos for this week.

The Boardwalk at Mission Beach.
One of the places we love to walk when we come to California.
It's always so much fun to people watch here.

Just a friendly game of Volleyball on the beach.

Can these boys get some Airtime or what.

This is a photo of the Botanical Garden at Balboa park.

The pond here is usually filled with Lily pads. But not at this time of year.

We visited many of the museums here, including the

Museum of Photographic Art, which you know I loved.

Another shot of the Lily pond from the opposite side.

I just loved the reflection here.

Another one of my favorite places to hang out is Seaport Village.

Lots of cool shops and restaurants and the view is spectacular.

That is the Coronado Bridge in the background. It was so relaxing to

sit and look out and watch the sailboats passing by.

Oooops..
So sorry this makes six photos... not five, but I just had to share it with you.
After all, it is the first day of spring..

So I am thinking some green photos are in order here.

I haven't gotten a whole lot of Green shots lately and that

is surprising since it's my favorite color. So I am going to show you some

of my Favorite Green Shots from the past.

I am pretty sure that living in the Brown desert all my life is the reason why

Green is one of my Favorite colors.

I did happen to get a shot of this little guy at the pet store.. I snapped off the shot and

then was told to put the camera down.. No photos allowed..

I was told to delete the photo. I told them I would.

Oh no.. I Lied.. Here it is, I hope they don't catch me.

Happy St Patrick's day my friend.

I see some corned beef and cabbage in my future.

Hello Friends

How are you?

Where ever you are I do hope you are enjoying some nice weather.

We are on the move once again. We have pulled "Big Bertha" back to California.

We are close to San Diego and the weather is beautiful.

We will hang out here for a couple of weeks before

we head back to Arizona to my Mom's house.

I am so happy to be playing along with

Random Five Friday again.

The Five Random photos I am about to show you are very random

-just some of the photos I have captured over the last month.

I have been having fun trying to take photos of some flowers.

I pulled out my 50mm lens. I really need to use this lens more.

A beautiful Desert Sunrise.

And Yes I was outside in my PJ's to grab this shot.

I hope the neighbors didn't see me.

We went to a little Ghost town call Oatman.

It's a fun little town to visit in Arizona. It's only about an hour's drive from my parent's house.

The little town is overrun by Burro's. And they are not shy at all.

Some more practice with my 50mm lens.

Here is my sisters newest member of the family.

What a cutie. But a bit difficult to get a good shot.

I was a bit nervous about jumping in the pen with them. I

was afraid they might knock me over.
