The outside of the bezel includes scalloped indentations for an easy grip even under sweaty conditions. The case is made from performance steel, a higher grade of stainless steel that provides excellent durability and strength. Additionally, the low nickel content in this surgical steel quality offers improved hypoallergenicity.

Adding extra elegance along with the added benefit of split second timing, this chronograph can time events down to 1/10 of a second and it includes three round subdials that display minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds. Also befitting its more sporty orientation, the wavy black dial is complemented by luminous bar hour markers, small minute indexes, and a date window at 4 o'clock. It features oversized luminous hands and a red seconds hand with a luminous dot at its base. Finally, it includes silver-tone tachymeter readings around the outer edge of the dial, which can be used for measuring time over distance. This precisely timed watch has a Swiss-made quartz movement, which is accurate to 60 seconds per year.

A tachymeter is an instrument for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read off in kilometers per hour based on 1000 meters distance. For example, the chronograph indicates that the distance of one kilometer has been covered in 30 seconds. Product Description

Featuring the utterly recognizable, minimalist look of Movado's famed Museum Watch, this Movado Sapphire men's stainless steel watch offers a contemporary elegance that travels easily between black tie and casual couture. The perfectly circular stainless steel case is finished with a black PVD coating (Physical Vapour Deposition), which provides a fashionable exclamation point as well as improves wear and corrosion properties. Its soft, elegant lines flow seamlessly from the round black stainless steel watch case to the spare, modern black leather strap.
The deep black dial face includes just the signature single dotted marker at 12 o'clock--evocative of a sun dial--and two sword-shaped hands. (Movado's Museum watch is often referred to as the "boss's watch" due to its vague display of time and because the boss doesn't have to be on time.) Powered by a precise Swiss quartz movement, it also features a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet)--enabling it to withstand splashes and accidental dunks into the water, but not suitable for swimming.
