Review:
The upcoming ‘Tere Bin Laden’ produced by Walkwater’s and Abhishek Sharma is faced with a trouble with the censor board. The latter objects to a certain words, that happened to sound like a bad language. The scene in question is a comic one where a talking rooster happens to shout the word ‘pencho’ out aloud! But Sharma fails to convince the board that he intends no pun. ‘Tere Bin Laden’ is a comedy about an ambitious young news reporter from Pakistan played by Ali Zafar who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream. His repeated attempts to immigrate are shot down as his visa is always rejected. But when things couldn’t look worse he comes across an Osama Bin Laden look alike and that’s when chaos strikes. The film is slated to release on 16th July 2010.
Description:
Tere Bin Laden has run into trouble with the Censor Board again. High Court Pakistan has banned the release of the much awaited film ‘Tere Bin Laden’ aka ‘Tere Bin’ which stars the Prince of Pop, Ali Zafar in the lead role and deals with a bold edgy subject and problems post 9/11. Previously on the order of Censor Board, the name ‘Laden’ was dropped from Tere Bin Laden in Pakistan as a precautionary measure and now considering the kind of tensions surrounding Pakistan, the release of the film in Pakistan has been banned. The Board claimed that the film has been banned to protect the people of Pakistan from any unexpected, unpleasant consequences carried out by extremist elements.
The makers of Tere Bin Laden were also releasing the film globally, except U.S.A. because the American distributor of the film felt that Tere Bin Laden has the potential to go beyond the Indian diaspora, penetrating into the American market due to Osama Bin Laden. Hence, the makers decided to release the film everywhere, except America this Friday. Due to its ban in Pakistan, the film will now open only in places like U.K., India and Australia and other international territories in Phase I this Friday, while America will see a Phase II release, after the makers study the business in various markets in its first round.

Now one wonders what would be the box-office result of this small-budget film which has been banned in Pakistan, is not releasing in the U.S.A and is getting threats for its release in India.

Predators Best Action Movie Of Summer

2010-07-13T09:54:00.001-07:00

Predators is a welcome dose of escapism in this summer of effects-heavy stinkers. The movie is set in the present day, decades after an elite group of special forces encountered a "thing" in the jungle - the very "thing" that Arnold Schwarzenegger beat in the first Predator flick.
Producer Robert Rodriguez has said the movie's name is a callback to Aliens, suggesting that it's the second in the series - so forget about all those other lame sequels.

The movie starts with our hero, Royce (Adrien Brody), being dropped from the sky into a jungle, and doesn't let up until the end. Joining Royce (whose name isn't revealed until the end) are a bunch of professional killers - sniper, Mexican drug cartel enforcer, Yakuza member, death row inmate, Sierra Leone death squad member - and a doctor (Topher Grace). The group bands together in an attempt to survive their time in the jungle, which turns out to be a jungle on another planet full of scary Predator aliens (cousins of the creature for 1987's "Predator").
