Congratulations!
Ani Lorak (Karolina) and her 30 y.o. fiancé from Turkey, Murat Nalkakioglu, get married in Kiev, on August 15th...

Couple registered at the central office of the registration of marriages in Kiev. And in 1 week, on August 22th,23th , Karolina and Murat will fly in Turkey, to celebrate the wedding. They planed to stop in the Antalya's resort hotel "Adam and Eva". And on Monday 24th, in the day of Independence of Ukraine, they'll return to Kiev.

Here, near Kiev, the couple are planning to build their home, in western europe's style.

Happy life together!!!

In august 24, 2008 Ani Lorak presented her video at the ukrainian music channel 'M1'.
"This is NOT a new song from my new album", said Ani, "this video we were making before eurovision song contest. It's a very nice lyric composition, and it (the song) in different style with 'Shady Lady' that's why we were decided not present this song in the same time with Shady, becouse all our energy was with eurovison promotion."

This song at ukrainian language. It name's 'Я стану морем' - 'I become a sea'.

Right now the video clip is not available, you can see it as soon as it possible.

Yes it's true!

...The hottest Ukrainian singer ever is in Athens for the recording of her international album...

Lorak is working for this album with Dimitris Kontopoulos, the famous Greek composer/producer, who also has produced her huge hit "Shady Lady".

The recordings are taking place in VOX Studio. "

Her first fresh performance will be in Turkey at this week (2 concert), after that she will flying to Greece (next week).

"I'm very happy that my music are interesting in many countries", said Ani Lorak, "for me, as artist, it's a big honour - to be a welcome visitor and exhilarate (pleased) my fans (and all people)".

Ani Lorak will be perform, as special guest star, at New Wave Song Contest in Yurmala (Latvia).
This contest is international mini festival organized by the russian television.

She will sing a several her songs and (maybe) one Jennifer Lopez's song.
Her performance the spectators can see at the first and the second day of the contest (23,24 July 2008).

The "Angel"

Ani Lorak - one of the few ukrainian artists, who has a restaraunt buisness. She owns one of the the beautiful restaraunt in the heart of the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. Its name - "Angel" (full name is "Angel-Lounge"). Her fiancé, Murat, helps Ani with management things.

The "Angel" is not big, but it has spacious interior, executed in light colors. Total quantity of seats: 60.
VIP-halls: 2. The cuisine: European and Mediterranean Cuisine.
At the entrance of the restaraunt you can see the columns with Karolina's photos and texts from her songs.
An average of one visit will cost you 150 UAH (25 euro).

"Angel" is situated by the address: Ukraine, Kiev, 10 Shota Rustavelly Street. If you will be in Kiev - you may visit the "Angel" and you will like it.

In 2004-2005 Ani Lorak has been a UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/AIDS in Ukraine. UNICEF and UN in Ukraine have awarded a commendation to Ani Lorak for assistance and help to HIV positive citizens of Ukraine. In 2005, Ani Lorak was conferred with the St. Stanislav Order of the 4th degree and the Officer's Cross "for strengthening the international authority of Ukraine, for the high professionalism, great creative achievements, charity and adherence to the ideals of chivalry".

The Ukrainian singer Ani Lorak will attend the 19 th Çeşme International Music Festival which will be held in Turkey between 30 June- 5 july.

Ani Lorak, the Ukrainian runner up of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, will give a concert during the International Cesme Music Festival to be held in Cesme, Turkey between 30th June and 5th July. Çeşme is one of the popular holiday resorts near İzmir which is the 3rd biggest city of Turkey.

The festival has been organised in this town since 1986 attracting many international stars. Linda Martin( winner of 1992 Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland), Al Bano& Romina Power ( Italy 1976 and 1985), Emilija Kokic (1989 winner for Yugoslavia ), Tajci (Yugoslavia 1990), Duo Datz (Israel 1991) have participated in the past as well as Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Duran Duran, Vanilla Ice, Patricia Kaas and Samantha Fox among others.

Ukrainian newspaper "Today", reported that Ani and her fiancé, Murat, will arrive in Turkey at Saturday. "Ani will perform in the final of the festival, as guest of honour", said Murat.

After her performance at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Ani Lorak was in Athens (Greece), to have some work and relax. In the mornings and the days, Ani was got a tan, swimming in the sea, and in the afternoon (every day) she was working on the new album.

"During this time, every day, I was worked at the studio. We were creating a new ideas for my new album. This will be very interesting material, where everyone will be able to see me at the new music style", said Ani.
By the way, she was working with music producer - Dmitrios Konstopoulous, who was recording the "Shady Lady" for "Eurovision 2008".

"In summer we want to create a new album, record all songs and make international relize for this product (album) and video clip", said Ani Lorak.
Also, Ani was invited on the "MAD Video Music Awards", where she was handed out the award to the artist from Bulgaria.

"I was pleased, that after I was sang a few words from 'Shady Lady', all Greek people (more than 4,000), were singing song with me. It's wonderful, that so many people loved this song.
I got pleasure from a visit to Greece. I rest and worked. And on July 5, I will perform on the international festival in Turkey...", said Ani Lorak.

By the way on the one stage with Ani will be Kylie Minogue and other stars.

GLAMOROUS pop sensation Ani Lorak admitted she almost gave it all up after breaking down in tears. Ukrainian Ani, who took the Eurovision Song Contest by storm with her hit Shady Lady, revealed that she had to dig deep to find the determination to go on after enduring a tough childhood...

...“In my life I had a lot of problems. When I fell, when I was so weak, I wanted to cry,” confided Ani of her darkest moments. “I said, “No, life’s not possible, how I can go on?”

Now the 29-year-old, who wore an exclusive Roberto Cavalli dress studded with Swarovski diamonds to the Eurovision, is expected to take Britain by storm with her hit Shady Lady...

...She said: “Shady Lady is a part of me, one of my characteristics. Shady Lady is a powerful woman who believes in herself. She’s not wasting her time just dreaming about happiness, love and success, she’s brave enough to make her dreams come true.

“That’s me because I was from a small city, my parents divorced before I was born and I was in a [special] school. It was so hard.

I know what it is to live without food and sometimes without clothes,” she continued. “But I never gave up. I always believed in God and myself and the power he gave me. I prayed every night and I worked hard.

“I’ve always believed that if you work hard you will achieve results. There’s no way you can fail: if you work hard, you have hope and you give your all you will have the best. I’m happy that the song Shady Lady made me open a part of my character to people – a woman who’s strong. I will survive is the message.” ...

Ani, who is happily married to her Turkish manager Murat Nalcacioglu, pleaded for tolerance toward HIV/Aids sufferers in the Ukraine...

...“The message to young people who think it won’t happen to them is that it can happen to anybody. Let’s not fight eachother, let’s fight the virus. I mean tolerance for people who have HIV. They need our understanding, our friendship, and our love because they feel so lonely.”

She also pledged her support to a unique project by St Nicholas English Language College, in London...

... “I think in the world you have to make something more than music, to make more people happy,” she said. “When you eat bread you must remember somebody else who has none.”

"Ani you are the first..., but unfortunately, Europe did not want to see so soon again the Eurovision song contest at Ukraine (last - 2005)...",said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

"Ani Lorak was born in the small town of Kitsman, Chernovitska oblast, Ukraine. Her father graduated from Music College with diploma of choir conductor and from Philological Faculty of the University of Chernovtsy. Her mother completed studies in the Institute of Culture and worked as a director of the radio station.
Karolina developed the desire to become a singer as early as at the age of four. At that time she had already decided what she wanted to achieve in life. Karolina often performed at various school vocal competitions.

In 1992, she takes part in the popular contest Pervotsvit [Cowslip] and becomes the winner. It should be noted that's where she met her ex-producer Yuriy Falyosa. As a result, at the age of fourteen she signed her first professional contract. Karolina became known as Ani Lorak in March 1995. She had to invent her stage name when she was participating in the contest of the "Morning Star" television program in Moscow. There was another Russian singer with the name Karolina already enrolled in the competition, so our Karolina saved the situation having read her name backwards. That's how her present stage name Ani Lorak has come into existence.

At the age of 19 she was awarded with title of the Honoured Artist of Ukraine, having become the youngest singer ever to get this rank. She is the winner of a great number of various prizes, has four Gold Discs according to the results of sales of the albums "Tam de ty ye…" [There, where you are], "Ani Lorak", "Smile", and "Rozkazhy…" [Tell me…], winner of prestigious international and Ukrainian festivals and ratings, including the "Morning Star" television contest (Moscow, 1996), and the Grand-Prix winner of the "Big Apple Music - 96" global competition of young singers in New York. Ani Lorak has been repeatedly recognized as the Singer of the Year in Ukraine. Her credits include ten albums, one single, biographical film, and 24 video clips.

Her artistic self-realization goes far beyond singing. Ani Lorak is a brilliant actress. She played Zemfira in the "Tsygany" [Gypsies] musical, medical service lieutenant in the musical film "Take Your Overcoat", Oksana in the musical film "Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka", Fanchette in the musical film "Crazy Day or the Marriage of Figaro", dubbed the Baby in the Norwegian animated film "Karlson on the Roof" (2006), and later - two characters at once - those of the Kitty and the Little Bee of the Estonian cartoon "Lotte from Gadgetville" (2007).
Ani Lorak provided support in publishing three books for children, they are - "How to Become a Star", "How to Become a Princess", "How to Become a Culinary Star in 7 Days". The singer is also the producer of her own brand. She owns the Angel-Lounge restaurant in the centre of Kyiv.
