Zipping down the side of a mountain on a downhill mountain bike can be incredibly fun, but getting the bike up there ... well, you can pedal the 40 to 50-pound thing to the top yourself, pay to use a zero-exercise chair lift, or add to your bike's weight with an &lt;a href="http://www.gizmag.com/ego-kits-give-downhill-mountain-bikes-a-boost/17888/"&gt;electric-assist motor&lt;/a&gt;. In an approach we've seen before in the form of the &lt;a href="http://www.gizmag.com/bergmonch-folding-bicycle-backpack/10804/"&gt;Mountain Monk&lt;/a&gt;, German gear company ORTOVOX is offering another way to get to the summit and back down again. It's called the Mountainskyver TRAIL, and it's a folding downhill scooter(?) that a hiker carries to the mountaintop in an included custom backpack, then quickly assembles and rides back down...&lt;br /&gt;

Much as some people loathe it, I’ve always kind of liked the Subaru Baja. It has the quirky short-bed car/truck look of the Hummer, but isn’t anywhere near as large and nasty as that vehicle. Well, the designers at smart have taken the “little Hummer” idea to the extreme, with the for-us concept. Premiering next month at the North American International Auto Show, the two-seater electric car looks pretty much like a smart fortwo ... with a little cargo bed in back...&lt;br /&gt;

The French jet ski champion has just put together an absolutely insane leisure product, released a short video about it - and then took off on honeymoon, where presumably he's having about the least romantic getaway of his life as his phone and email inbox go absolutely bananas. And here it is: the Zapata Flyboard. This ingenious and deceptively simple device bolts on to the powerful motor of a jet ski, then routes the resulting water jet through a long hose that connects to a pair of jet boots and hand-held stabilisers. The arrangement lets you fly, Iron Man style, up to 9 metres in the air - or leap headfirst through the waves like a human dolphin. The best part? You can buy it for under 5000 Euro (US$6700). The Super-Sedan may seem contrary to the signature offerings of the Veyron, but following the trend of other sportscar makers is this stylish executive saloon design. Though considered a full-size luxury vehicle, the Super-Sedan is still loaded with the same raw performance and modern texhnological amenities you’d expect from Bugatti (and the pricetag!). Even the purist should be able to appreciate this attempt to broaden the brand’s appeal beyond that of hardcore fans.&lt;br /&gt;

Voici un concept futuriste, mais répondant à une problématique bien particulière. En effet, le Di-Cycle a été conçu par le studio hollandais GBO Design non seulement pour rouler sur les chemins, mais aussi… sur les canaux du pays. Mi-vélo, mi-pédalo, peut-être le croiserons-nous un jour prochain…&lt;br /&gt;

Basée à Nevers et connue avant tout pour ses vélos de course, Look est également l’inventeur de la première fixation de ski avec sécurité, lancée en 1956. Pour son PDG, Dominique Bergin, la marque qui a « révolutionné l’univers de la compétition » conserve une image cohérente grâce à la technicité des produits et son positionnement luxe. Look projette d’embaucher près de 25 personnes supplémentaires, et de mettre en place un réseau complet de production, de fournisseurs et de stylistes. En dépôt de bilan en 1998, la société s’est néanmoins relevée et a réalisé un chiffre d’affaires de 43 millions d’euros sur l’exercice mars 2010-2011.
