Queen Bee Gift Bag Tag

Morning Friends!

I have been making gift bags lately. It seems everybody is either having a birthday or having babies & I can hardly keep up. Now being the frugal, try to be earth saving recycling girl that I am, I have been recycling my paper Woolworths grocery bags and green glueing my Designer Series Papers (DSP) onto the back and front of them and adding a hand made tag and ribbons. I think they look fantastic and are Earth happy too!

The above photo is the wee tag I made to attach to the gift bag. I made it using items from the about to retire January to May Mini Catalogue but the Queen Bee set is going to carry over into the new 2023-4 Annual Catalogue - YAY! This is probably my favourite of the mini cattys. I usually want way more from it than its possible to buy or even use.

This tag used Queen Bee Stamp and Die Set. It is going to carry over to the new 23-34 Annual Catalogue which becomes available to customers this week, May 2, 2023 - TOMORROW.

Colours are: Basic White, Mango Melody, So Saffron

Designer Series Paper: I have used a DSP that is retiring after today, so if you do not already have it, just exchange it for a suitable DSP you do have in your stash.

Dainty Flowers Birthday Wishes

Well today completes the set of 3 cards I made from the Dainty Flowers DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. I showed you the Nothing Fancy Just Love and Pink Happy Birthday Cards previously.

Todays card, again is a Love It! Chop It! card. Both the front two layers are the same sheet of DSP. One is the floral side and the Green is the back of the floral side. It really is a pretty quick and simple card, but one that is not lacking in beauty or love.

These mini gift bags are just adorable and incredibly easy to make. I have the tutorial instructions in the January '23 Product Playground Session.

They are a lovely little size to fit a tiny purse size perfume or a couple of chocolates for someone. My dear friend Wirgie AKA Virginia inspired me to make them. She has been making lots of them lately. They actually are a design from Sam Hammond AKA Pootles over in the UK.

Blog Hop KYLIE BERTUCCI'S INTERNATIONAL BLOG HIGHLIGHTS - FEBRUARY

Good Morning Friends!

Today's projects showcase the Fancy Flora Designer Series Papers and how easy they are to use. I made them for Kylie Betrtucci's International Blog Highlights contest as well as for an upcoming class I am teaching. I enjoyed making these Quadlateral Cards and I know they will become firm favourites. I was inspired by Lee Anne Greff from Flower Bugs.

I have joined in on Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Contest for February. When you click on the link below, you will see a wonderful array of cards made by fellow stampers from all over the world. You will also be able to vote for your favourite 5 cards by clicking on the little black hearts in the top right corners and just waiting until they turn red. It will be fun to see who the winner is for February. The top ten winners based on your votes will be able to participate in the actual International Highlights Winners Hop at the end of the month.

From the one sheet of DSP I was able to make 4 cards. 2 I have layered with another coordinating sheet of the DSP and the other 2 cards, I used stamped images from the Dragon Fly Garden Stamp Set.

I have stamped a dragonfly image and highlighted its wings with Wink of Stella and added it to most of them. Dragonflies always seem to twinkle in the sunlight as they dance over the water right!

I finished them all off with a stamped Happy Birthday from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set.

Global Design Project #378 Sketch Challenge

Hello

Hello and Welcome to my blog. If this is your first time here, a very extra special welcome. I am Caroline, and today I am sharing a card made for the Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP378 | Sketch Challenge.

The challenge is to produce my interpretation of the following sketch.

I chose to use the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper and the Fresh Freesia Glimmer Paper from Stampin' Up! to make a Birthday Card.

The colour I focused on from the sheet of DSP is Orchid Oasis from the 2021-23 In Colours. Gorgeous isn't it. It just co-ordinates with so many different things.

Memories & More

Morning Friends!

Its probably a little on the late side to share this. A friend sent me this christmas card that she hand made. It is a Stampin' Up! Memories and More product.

Memories & more are actually designed for scrapbooking and the various sized cards fit into our Photo Pocket Pages along with your photos. The thing is just because something is designed for one thing does not mean it can't be used for something else. I actually have a memories and more pack here that I had been planning on making during a Make With Me! video for you. I shall have to get onto it now so you can see what I am talking about. Pop over to the Shop Site and have a look at the items you will see what I mean.

The Memories and More and Kits are a great fun way of doing a little craft without the mess. They are fantastic if you travel as they are small and many come with every you need included. They would pack in a caravan or luggage.

My friend bought a couple of Memories and more packs and put them away for while she was in the process of moving interstate and the house was all packed up (including her crafting room) and she was left in the in between houses.

The value of kits is great too. They usually have plans for making 12 cards but in truth, there is leftovers and like the leftovers in any good lamb roast where the leftovers are better the next day, those leftovers make many more cards.

Who! Who! Adorable Owls

Hoot Hoot Crafty Friends!

It was so much fun making this set of 3 cards using the Adorable Owls. I showed you the first one and the second one last week.

This card is made with plain card stocks. Using the same die to cut the nesty circle. I have stamped a couple of leaves from a different stamp set I just had sitting on my shelf.

Again the adorable owls are stamped and then coloured using the Stampin' Blends. I used paper snips to fussy cut the owls and dimensionals to adhere them.

Morning Friends!

My card today is a Love It!Chop It! card. I used the beautiful Dainty Flowers DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. I was able to choose a FREE with $90 australian dollar purchase and Dainty Flowers was what I chose. It is so beautiful I really don't want to cut into it but I have. It is of no pleasure to anyone sitting on the shelf, but I can get pleasure from making beautiful cards from it. I can get pleasure from sending beautiful cards to others and seeing it make their day. Have a go at making some yourself.

My card today is using a stamp from a Host Stamp Set from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. This exclusive host stamp set is yours for free anytime you spend at least $500. During Sale-A-Bration, you’ll still get this host stamp set for free, plus any free Sale-A-Bration products you earn.

I have stamped it with Momento Tux Black, then coloured it with some of my Stampin' Blends, something nice to do in the evening while watching TV. To finish it I rubbed the sky area with a small amount of blue from my blending brush.

I used some Spare DSP from my stash and also stamped a sentiment on some scrap black card stock & then embossed it, but you wouldn't have to just stamp on some white scrap.
