type='text'>Indian Economic Model

1) Nationalize private banks to save farmers
2) After a few years open up banks for private sector ,call it a reform. Now you give license to create your own competetitors
3) Samething with roadways(Transport)
4) Create state owned Telecom, insurance, postal, airlines,Electricity and open up to private
5) Same with education
6) Same with hospitals,universities
7) Same with constuction companies, ship building, aerospace and defense companies

Its not capitalist or socialist model. Its just a corrupt model . They dont know what they do.
Some may argue its serving poor people. But its never limited to poor or services are upto the mark in many govt institutions.
And Govt keep many institutions that authorize others for compliance, issuing certificates , regulations etc. They are super corrupt and their duty ends with issuing certificates after getting bribe aka service charge.THey are not accountable also. If there is a problem in a certified building the corporation officials will escape easily.

Indian growth is flaunted upon. But apart from numbers there is no or little progress on the ground.

They are known enemies. India can fight ,win or resist them.

Its always internal enemies that are great threats at each level. If your cells behave in a wild way , you are gone. If some neurotransmitters behave in different way , its very hard to treat.Similarly, our Govts, law makers,an agenda driven media and colonial justice system can make a lot of money for them. But it has rendered the Indian society with malice.

We have many court proceedings that can be viewed in youtube channels like law chakra, just see how some judges behave with elderly persons who cannot afford have any lawyers. How they are concerned about the dress code, not on the real issues! The core philosophy seems to be to go only by law books and judges doesnt need to apply any moral or ethics on any case.

A 17 year old boy , drank and killed 2 persons by wild driving. He has let out by asking him to write essays. No outrage. When people of India will show up anger? Ask questions? If he killed 100 people instead of two, then also brain dead judges will go by law book and act as if nothing has happened?

Khap panchayats, which was systemically shown as cruel system by elite groups of media persons will have better moral judgement than our courts.

Why calling judges as MiLords? Why you need to 'pray' them? why you need to be in request mode even if you are morally correct? Even politicians wont do such kind of professional bootlicking as our judiciary expects. When they are going to connect with real poeple of India and understand their problems?

Who appoints judges? A committee set up by themselves. Politicians are accountable through elections. How judges are made accountable? Parliament can sack judges. But how many have been done so far? When the collegium system itself is questionable, Supreme court passed a judgement saying they have to be involved in election commisioner selection process? Why stop there? Do appointment for armed forces and other institutions as well. From where they derive the power of such overreach?

I really wonder how a few judges can decide on every aspect of all issues under the sun? Ram temple issue? They will decide. Cauvery issue. They will decide. Delhi pollution issue? they will decide. Kashmir issue. They will decide. Who needs to puja. They will decide.Who owns temples. They will decide. If you can burn crakers on Diwali. They will decide. Whether a marriage is valid .They will decide. Whetether a live in relationship is an exploitation. They will decide. All medical issues they will decide. All ciber laws they will decide. Whether they have professional unbiased scientific team to study these aspects of various domains to decide on this? God only knows.

Take NH case. Take 2G case. Take Rafale case. HOw many can understand the issues? Now a days corruption itself is becoming too complex to understand. One judge cancelled the 2G licenses. Many companies shut down decades back. Investors lost money. Another judge released all politicians involved in 2G scam. They became MPs. Who are the losers? Why people in judiciary needs to look back and analyze? Their business is going well. Ok...How is the much spoken about constitution and Indian laws , created by Indians and dedicated to Indians? Lets check on that.

Unless we understand for whom it serves, we will be at receiving end without even realising why.

Indian laws doesn't favour honest people: If we have good judicial and media we would not have a open bribe culture. Indian laws bend before power and show its draconian powers to middle class and poor people. For ex. If you slap a person on camera you will get retaliation from that person or you can be jailed. When Stalin slapped a person in metro, the victim did (or made to do ) a press conference saying that he actually didn't slap him. Its just one example. You can pick thousands of examples.

Indian laws pick easy targets and leave hard ones : The law makers , people who we send to parliament and legislature are often have disconnect with public or not well equipped with knowledge of laws and economics. The high taxes on petrol, high GST on paints and building materials, motorcycles, cements, grinders etc which target poor and middle class, the high income taxes which target middle classes are done not because they are justified . They are done because its easy for them to implement. The wealth tax which target rich was done away with, because its difficult for them to catch them. No morality here.

Rich and Smart are provided with loopholes : People working in companies/govt offices, even a single rupee you cannot get from your employer without tax department poke nose into it. You need to pay taxes for full income, irrespective of how much you spend just to get it. Many persons who cannot even breakeven have to remain silent. Otherwise his job will go to the other persons and he will be on the streets. Number of labour cases in India is very thin. You raise voice in one company, you wont get any other job is the unwritten rule. In the Hutch mobile transaction they didnt pay taxes anywhere for capital gains. The laws had apparent loop hole; for years. What the learned judiciary ,legal fraternity ,law makers should have done? They should have identified it long back. That didn't happen. The businessmen does calculations on his income and expenditure, investments and after all deductions he would say this is my profit. Govt cannot verify each and every transaction. They trust businessmen, not you. How many working people (not self employed) have become , leave billionaire, or just millionaire or crorepathi after 20/30/40 years of work? How many business millionaires we have? How many self employed ( from music, actors, politicians,Doctors,Lawyers,Prohits,CAs) we have? We need to understand the laws and goes with the direction it favours.

Just Rain Drops

Bhargavi type institute was an all-known name in the small town of Kanyakumari district, the south tip of India. The women behind it ,was Bhargavi , who ran several type writing training institutes in 1970s to 90s. On the arrival of computers her business started going down. She couldn’t face the onslaught of computers and had to close her institutes one by one in 90s. But she educated her son Bharath well. He became a software Engineer.

Bharath went to New York and settled there. She will take care of herself’. His last call, when her mother pleaded him to return to India to take care of her could not fetch a positive reply. ’If I quit even for a month, my life will become a question’, he replied then…

Vinoth is a friend of Bharath who ran aa retail shop. Its on the banks of ever flowing Tamira river. The village had the reputation of producing many reputed professionals who installed themselves across the globe . Still, it remained a village.

In that village, there lived a man named Surya. He was blind. Surya could move around with his stick and enjoy talking with other friends and to get the fresh air kissing his face. He was a man in his twenties, had studied till 10th standard. He lived in a small hut. He had a wooden cot and a wooden stove. He had a dream of becoming a rich person one day and to lead a comfortable life. There was rumor going around in the village about a treasure hidden by a smuggler in the forest. Surya’s daily prayer included a request to the God to give it to him only.

There were sometimes dogs barking outside his hut. Surya always had a heavy stone kept near his cot. He will throw the stone near to the entrance without getting up from the cot. On hearing the noise and seeing the heavy object, dogs would run away.

One day , Surya missed his way on his way back home from river. He sensed the wrong direction and tried to correct it. On his way there was a pit . When he tried to bypass it, he leg hit on an object and he fell down. With great struggle, he got up and went back to know what object caused the fall. He banged on that with his stick. It gave a wood sound. He took it and realized it’s a hammer. He took it to his home.

This time when dogs barked, instead of a stone, the newly found hammer was doing the job. When he threw its fell with a heavy sound. Later , Surya would collect it and kept it by his bedside as a safety tool. The story continued…One day the hammer broke. Surya collected the handle and the head part of the hammer. He thought its job was over and could be thrown away. The handle part could be useful for cooking , he thought. He threw it near to the stove. In the evening, the heavy head part of the hammer was safely thrown into the river so that it would not cause any more falls. With the sense of satisfaction, Surya returned home.

The next day morning, his long time friend Vithura came to Suryas house and was surprised to see a splashy wood handle. It had a marking of RoltaBesta as RB. Like Rolex watches , RoltaBesta hammers were costly, specialized and made only in few numbers every year. During the communist regime , RB was supplying the hammers to Kremlin to showcase their party symbol. Vithura asked Surya about the head part. He said he threw it into the river. His head started spinning. He took Surya to the river and searched it for the whole day. They could not get anything. Surya was heart broken to know he threw away the Gold. ‘How do I know, it had good amount of gold. It just touched it.I couldn’t see. It didn’t make different noice .I just thought its iron’. Surya started repeating and crying. A God sent opportunity was lost, with his own hands. He couldn’t digest that. Vithura started convincing Surya, ‘ It could be just a fake product. Who could bring RB product to this tiny village. I might be wrong’. For him, convincing his friend was more valuable than finding the Golden hammer at that hour.

We also have Golden hammers. Govt has its finest staffs and citizens. They could serve their potential for the best outcome based on their deployment. Companies have its finest employees filtered through various processes. Our life itself is a very good Golden Hammer. Many times, instead of getting best value out of it, we use the golden hammer just to drive away our current issues. If we try to solve the issues of Iron with Gold, Gold with Silver, Silver with Copper, the issue may get resolved sometimes. But we pay a heavy price. It’s not optimal utility. We often wonder why someone is not outshining others in many areas. Why a Gold should outsmart Iron in every aspect? Focusing on what ones biggest strength and using it properly will improve our quality of work and life.

Simple Model for human life

If you want to simulate or create a model for human life what it will be?

In my view it could resemble a minesweeper game.

You are young , you are forced into a battlefield. Your task is to move ahead. You cannot stop or come backwards. You have lot of Golds on the way to collect and enjoy. And you have lot of landmines on the way.

Initially when you are young the distance between bombs and landmines are less and you sincerely believe its just a Gold mine. But still, you hear the stories of even young encountering the landmines and bombs.

The path to progress you can choose. The path you choose may land you in having more gold package. On the contrary , it can also land you in the path of unanticipated landmines.

When you step on a landmine , it may be a simple one which you can recover and continue the journey. Or it may have lasting impact. All you have done is just to put one step forward hoping that no harm would happen.

There may be companions and trouble makers on the way. Helping others, giving clues about the places of landmines and the experiences to recover help all. Some may fight with you along the way. If you don't resist , you may be knocked down in the field. It may be also the case that if you fight with others , you lose your focus on finding landmines on the way. Same is the dilemma with the opponent too. If you fight too much and with too many, loss is guaranteed.

As you age the space between the next landmine becomes too less and you encounter it too frequently. At some point even the next step is risky. You avoid one landmine to face another.

In the full game, the path is what mostly you decide to travel.

You collect all the gold , at some point of time collecting the Gold will become the whole purpose and what you collect increases the load. But, it also happens that you encounter a landmine blast, but you don't have Gold . So none is there to help in your recovery for Gold.

You cannot trust everyone . If you help others collecting gold that person is not reciprocating...You need a trusted relationship.Identify some patterns. Get into native, school, college, work, caste, religion, language, city, state, nation etc. It may work for some and not for some.

The probability one doesn't land on landmine too soon and too often gives raise to faith in God. If there's no landmine or gold all the way and everyone can walk same distance with same ease there will not be any God logically.

You look backwards and see what you could have done better, where you made mistakes.

Sometimes it may help you to avoid a bigger landmines , to collect bigger Gold, especially when you learn from past game. If you worry only about the past steps, you misstep in the forward direction...Landmines !

Whatever may be the past, whoever is with you or against you, whatever is waiting for you, focus on the current step and walk. Thats the game.

Even with this understanding the game is tough. The game may be stock market, the game may be life. Landmines are natural but quite painful. But we have no other option. Keep moving forward concentrating on the present, just like a soldier in a battlefield.

Gandhian principles in 2020

When Gandhiji meets Mr X and shared his concerns....

Gandhi : People are not doing their own work...Now they outsource every possible activity. They are not following any of my principles...I am feeling very sad.

X: No, No ...Gandhiji..When did you check? In 2020 , Most of the people are doing their own work. They have their own haircuts. If they cannot do, they simply grow their hair so that birds can make nests on their heads...

Gandhi: Oh thats funny. But its good to know people follow atleast some of my teachings now. I was very worried about the materialistic greed of the people. They just want to own the entire world. How it can be sustainable.

X : No No..They now just buy what they required the most .Nothing else. Even they sacrifice the essential goods.

Gandhi : Oh really.

X: Yes. Not only common man. Even billionaires. They may buy some companies. But they not visiting malls . You don't believe, they are not coming out of their house. They make people work through video conferences. It saves lot of fuel and reduces pollution.

Gandhi : Thats nice. Simplicity is essential for life. Thats the only way we can care about environment. People don't really worry about environment.

X: Sorry Gandhiji...Again you have not checked latest data. People are worried...If their next breathe will be pure or contaminated. They are worried about their environment and the future a lot.

Gandhi :Very glad...How these things happened?

X: I made it happen Gandhiji...

Gandhi: Very good. You should be a true Gandhian. How did you do that? You didn't sway away from my core principle of Ahimsa ...right?

X: I didddddd alll....By instilling crude fear in the minds of people...I am Corona...

Gandhi Gets furious and yells...Get last...My dear countrymen...Defeat this guy.But keep some of the teachings for your own good.

DK ideology is racist ideology

Many view DK as an organisation which is against caste. It's what being taught in schools through books written by DK ideologists.

If one says there is no caste, then you cannot attribute some characteristics to a particular caste. It's just the basic thing. I cannot say there is no ghost and continue some ghosts are quite evil. If you hear or read any DK people writings or videos you can hardly avoid hearing how brahmins are cunning, lazy, conspiring , communal, anti Tamil, timid, pro sanskrit etc etc against the secular hardworking talented brave Tamilians.

As far as I know EVR followed the same lines. 'Parpana sathi' (Brahmin conspiracy) was the core of DK literature. Was there caste discrimination in TN? Answer is Yes. Was it brutal. Answer is Yes. Was it wrong? Answer is yes. But what DK ideology did was , to load all discrimination charges on Brahmins alone. If someone reads DK newspapers, who are outside TN , they will surely conclude ,there is no other caste in TN or caste discriminations but followed by Brahmins alone. This is far from truth.

Kanaka subburathinam alias Bharathidasan had lot of racist references in his poems written under his journal Kuyil. At one instance he accuses Brahmins as related to Hitler. In another he says Brahmins as Godse gang and Tamils will break their hands if they want to raise. He had a great talent in writing poetries. There is no doubt in his mastery over the language. We have a university named after him.

EVR asked for a dravidian state and Bharathi dasan supported the idea vehemently. Even during Chinese aggression he says the greater threat for TN was from Delhi rather than China.

Why Sanskrit is questioned in Temples in TN, where in many Temples they have Tamil songs as well. Why not Urdu in Mosques? Will DK ask? No. Why they dont ask? one is vote bank.

Why Bhagavat Gita in Govt university is a threat to secularism , when Govt funds lot of religious minority institutions who can administer it as per their will. Will DK ppl buy this reason? No. Why?
One institution conducted entrance test in Bible for christians for MBBS admission. Was there any noise by DK or its related parties?

If X community has fight with Dalits, no party including DK will criticise or even name the X community unless X is brahmin. Why?

Bharathi ,Kambar were criticized by DK groups. Bharathi was telling among the languages he knew Tamil was the sweetest. EVR called Tamil a barbaric language. Bharathi was criticised and EVR is being celebrated ..Why?

People will question why we need to sponsor space travel which can bring name to India and have variety of other uses. People will ridicule and question Hindu worship methods, which is their private money. But they will never ever question why Indian Govt needs to fund madarassa education.

So forget logic or equal treatment.

Core ideology of DK is based on putting Dravidians against Aryans and Brahmins are part of Aryans. Anna wrote a book called 'Arya mayai' which was full and full racist and freely available in stores. So even a Muslim or Xtian follow different religion racially he is dravidian. But Brahmins are Aryan , a different race, different culture, different belief system. Based on this ideology many political parties act. No 'secular, liberal' newspaper even run by Brahmins wont condemn or even publish racist remarks or ideologies made by DK groups. Yes, we are in liberal democracy.

When UPA lost its power, the main reason Chidambaram said was, ' We lost track on economy'. A 10 percent growth and 4 percent inflation is a dream. They ended up with delivering the reverse and UPA faced a crumbling defeat from 200 odd seats to 50 odd seats. Finding a fine balance with inflation and growth is a difficult task.

You can listen to smart people . But you hire a super smart, if they start driving on their own will , you end up in problem. Thats what happened during Rajan/Urjit patels regime.

1) Inflation is chronic problem in India. Interest rate hike is a blunt instrument to control supply side induced inflation. It was administered in very high dose.

2) Govt on its socialistic path, never cut the EPF/PPF rates and kept few rates like senior citizens scheme and Sukanya scheme artificially high.

3) Rajan implemented Urjit patel recommendation of inflation targetting of 4 +/- 2 percent. This too on Consumer price inflation which is always higher in India compared to WPI.

4) With high interest rate, we have high real interest rates. Now inflation hovers around 3 percent with 8 plus percent on small savings . That gives a real interest rate of 5 plus percent.

5) Demonetization was a contraction measure. Clearly it fell short on curbing black money. But in my view it should not have lasting negative impact.

6) One thing to justify the interest rate is , core inflation which excludes fuel and farm prices still hovers around 5 pc. But in my view we need to have inflation target where growth can be atleast 7 pc.

7) Every year from 2012 growth target is missed. Earlier inflation was overshooting RBI estimates , now consistently undershooting.

8) RBI was said to be behind the curve on cutting rates. But even after it cut rates , banks which also have huge NPAs , not passing on the rates.

9) The allowing growth to reduce NPA approach was negated by Rajan and Govt did not give major objection.

10) Agri faltered , metal industry cudnt have sufficient damand. Communication was hurt by predatory pricing by Ambani. Realty which was in speculative bubble till 2008, is down from 2012

11) Pharma was hit by FDA pressure. There are pressure of H1B from US. Few times trump is pushing for automobile import duty cut also.

12) I cannot remember one sector which was consistently on a high growth path in recent years.

13) This happened when many economies were facing growth issues and ECB and US provided too much support for their regions economic growth.

14) Its not 5 pc thats scaring, its the lack of preparedness of the Govt that is alarming. They need to provide fiscal deficit, probably drop inflation targetting and cut rates drastically.

India is still need to prepare for major headwinds like Brexit and possible US recession. In the end, Its not RBI who is answerable. Its the Govt which is answerable to public. It needs to act.

The opposite of love is not hate . Its ego.

If I is ego, We is love.

When I expands to accommodate others for a greater joy , its love.

Ego wants a clear win,no compromise at all. Love search for compromised solutions.

Ego wants to win over the world despite blood shed. Love , like Buddha, wants to make world a better place for all.

Ego cares for self alone. Love cares for others too.

When a child cries for a toy, your love loses to your kids ego and compromises it for a chocolate.

Ego and love are issue based and person based.

You like coffee, I like tea. Lets go to different stalls - Ego plays here.My personal choice is ultimate

Lets have coffee now, tea tomorrow - Love plays the role.

Most of the time ego and love needs to evoke similar responses from others.

Ego doesn't even admit a wrong stand.I am 100% right on this and 100% mistake is yours . Its my way only. No other choice for you says your ego. Ravan,Duryodhan had ego and never compromised on their issues till death.

Love cares for ourselves and others even if the other side even if our side is right. It was Krishna,Hanuman who went as emissary.

Lets finish them and win says ego. Lets find a solution says love.

A realization of greater joy reduces your ego and increases your crave for love. A suspicion of exploitation will diminish love towards ego.

One can be egoistic in one issue and caring for another issue.

You may love a person and pardon but show ego to another person on similar issue.

Love for onething may rise ego for another. A love for your country may make you to take egoistic position on another country.

On daily basis, how many issues we agree? we disagree? we listen? we compromise? determines which force currently dominate us.

Throughout Mahabharat Bhishma stuck to his promises. He had to fight with his guru Parasuram because of that.

When Krishna sided with Pandavas he promised not to use any weapon during the war. But when Bhishma caused much damage to Pandavas army Krishna got down from his chariot and lifted a Rath chakra to attack Bhishma. Is it legal? Is it correct? Is it Dharma?

One person in Quora beautifully addressed it.He said Bhishma was arrogant because of the fact that he stuck to rule or his promises. That arrogance needs to be broken.Dharma is one where one acts based on repercussions. If repercussion seems to cause harm ,Krishna was even ready to break the rule.

Laws vs Dharma question is essential in day to day life.Law doesn't have memory. It's instantaneous.Say a rich person Steals money out of hunger.Matter goes to police station. For police it's a big crime and needs to be beaten out, he should be produced before court.

For dharmic persons they need to see how much he has contributed so far in the past. That dharmic society surrounding that person only knows that.

Law is driven by individual rights . Being independent is given much attention in the west . But being interdependent is realistic and matured state. If you analyse properly no one born out of thin air independently , no one survives independently. Every one has duty in the society. Law supports one's decision. But doesn't help if outcome destroys your life. For example after 18 one can marry anyone. If he or she has other links law can break alliance. Prime fall back will be family, not courts.

Its individual right to break away as per law. It wont even mind about the kid much. But it will be evil in dharmic perspective. Future impact is ignored in laws. Thats why we have laws saying homo sexual is not crime. If our parents or forefathers remain homo family tree would have ended long back.We wont be here to pass the law.

One individual preference can just stop million and millions of future generation that can survive billions of years. Life is a gift. An amazing gift. There should have been so numerous loving relationships (and other mechanisms for microorganisms) thats why we stay here from Amoeba.

Being with another person is not illegal now. Individual choice. consensus relationship. if that person has a kid how he/she would feel? Aram is the word in Tamil for Dharma. There are only two ways. One is in family. Another one is being a monk. Both help the society.

Law may not touch powerful. Dharmic questions will be raised against powerful also. Shravans parents cursed Dasharatha who was ruler of the kingdom.Shravans parents were penniless and were suffering from old age.

Ravan was a law maker. Whatever he says was the law in Lanka. Vibeeshana questioned and advised him against adharmic activities. Though relative, he was insulted .At that point no one would have given wise advise than him. Ravan didn't listen to the wise. Vinasa kaale vipreet buddhi.

Dhuriyodhana might be powerful. Yet Vidhura advised him and asked him to stop molesting Dhroupathi. Its not that if one can do it, he will do it. You need to look at others perspective and repercussions in society on dharmic perspective.

By following law one cannot say they will escape Karma. Hurting others is not illegal. Getting angry is not illegal. Thiruvalluvar says anger is the one which kills who possesses it By following dharmic ways one can avoid bad karma. You can have sound sleep. If dharma is broken karma will follow one day. Thats the belief many religions hold.

It would be prudent if laws speaks and align with the dharma of the land for the well being of society rather than laws setting its own wish on society.

Religions try to explain the world. World is not perfect. Sometimes you cannot explain events. Why many are poor. Why good people get into problems. If you go to temple and on the way you get into trouble who is responsible. It’s explained through Karma. You seed good things you reap benefits. You seed bad things you get bad. Simple concept.

In life many events happen. Scientifically many are random events and independent. But sometimes you cannot avoid relating some of them. This guy did this and now he is like this. This is happening because we did similar thing to another person. You have dots which are supposedly random events. Your mind connects them and suspects the randomness of the events.

Even atheist religion like Buddhism believe in Karma and rebirth. When someone who is good and suffering now ,how can you explain? There comes previous birth and action in that birth explanation.

Even Thiruvalluvar says if you do bad in the morning ,you will get bad in the morning automatically. You cannot prove it scientifically. It’s just a realisation experience for many.

It’s a good concept if we all trust it and avoid doing bad ourselves and having self control. A concept that says you don’t need police or court or enemies.Even if you are powerful and act against powerless you will not get away with it. So it’s a good concept when we think of it before doing any action.

It’s a good concept when we face problems and realise our mistakes and vow not to repeat them.

It’s a good concept when we do not to fight with others many times and focus on good things believing karma will take over.

When it’s bad? When people suffer, you go and tell them it’s because of karma you face this. It won’t achieve any good thing. Right way is to point out before bad action like Vibeeshana did in Ramayana and Vidura did in Mahabharata.

Assume there is an auditorium. It can host 25000 people. It has all basic facilities. Daily 5 will be selected randomly and given luxurious facilities. Will you enter the auditorium ?No fee at all for staying. Of course, there’s a very simple rule. Each day one member among 25000 will be selected at random and that member will be executed. There is no exit for auditorium . Now think , will you enter? If you choose to enter what will be your mindset?Today I should not be executed! Can you think about anything else? Can you fight with the next person daily? Can you hate 1000 people there and be happy when someone is being executed from that hate group? Can you talk bad about others?Or will you think about escaping execution as long as possible? You will try to find someway to delay execution for everyone. If anyone comes for help that will be added advantage.

What do you tell about the person who arranges everything for the crowd daily but executes one brutally everyday? Is he good ? Is he bad?Is he merciful? Will you pray him not to execute any? What if he continues to execute even after your prayers in the very same way? Do you think you are not called today because he shows favour towards you, and you suspect execution process is not random?

Where’s such auditorium? Right here. The world. We are all in.If average age of a person is 68 years or approx 25000 days , I can say approx 1 die daily for 25000 randomly selected ppl. Exit to this world is painful and random (though probability varies according to age group).Still we make others lives painful without seeing the big picture and realizing our own vulnerability.Thats the strange part of life. Each group will try to win over another somehow.Thats sad part of politics.Policy priorities should be at lengthening lives. But we produce more traders than researchers or doctors.

What about the person who executes one daily? The God or the nature.

Following basic structure of 3*3* magic square
The middle square number should be sum/3 = 63/3 = 21

A+P

B+R

C+Q

C+R

A+Q

B+P

B+Q

C+P

A+R

Given middle element is 21 , the other two elements in primary diagonal should add up to 42

2A+P+R =42

In Secondary diagonal other two elements should add up 42
B+C+2Q= 42

Lets fix different A, Q values that add up to 21. And For this A,Q we will fix different P,R values so that P,Q,R are in arithmetic series and first equation holds. Similarly for this A,Q we will fix different B,C values so that B,A,C are in arithmetic series and the secondary diagonal equation shown above holds.
While doing so each sum shown in table should be unique. If it breaks that we need to try different values for P,R or B,C . If that fails we need to choose different A,Q so that it adds up to 21 and repeat the process of choosing other values.

Though the restriction is all numbers on table should be multiple of 3. Though each of A,B,C,P,Q,R need not be multiple of 3, but the sum of pairs should be. I tried with all A,B,C,P,Q,R multiples of 3.

Once you have these values you can calculate various sums in the first table and populate it to get

Ramanujan worked on magic square tables when he was attending school. I always wondered instead of just 32 years, what if he lived for 100 years. He could have died even before 32. He is among the top 100 mathematicians WORLD has EVER produced....EVER. Current population is 7 billion? Its just one generation. How many generation would have lived so far. Such a great mathematician got into depression when he was in London. He tried to commit suicide by jumping on train track. Luckily police arrested(as suicide attempt was a crime). His professor friend Hardy helped him to come out. Strong will power is not about outer appearance or level of success. I know of very strong people who had great strength physically , melt down like ice mentally on small issues.Real fighting spirit is to face and resolve problems to progress in life.

When defining Wisdom , thiruvalluvar says , its the weapon which prevents destruction
The question was asked to Infosys Narayanamurthy after US recession, US had lot of bright people why it faced trouble. He answered 'however bright one is, if you don't analyze risk properly you face issues'.

Lehman Brothers bankruptcy

In 2008 , Henry Paulson was secretary of state. He is a Harvard alumni. He needed to decide whether to save a bank (Lehman brothers) which committed serious mistake or let it go bankrupt ( a punishment ). Paulson decided morally its wrong to save the bank. If you help the bank, other banks also will commit same mistakes. Logical? He let Lehman go bankrupt (10th year anniversary on Sep 15th 2018).

The result ?other Banks and companies that dealt with Lehman now had to face defaults. Their balance sheet weakened. It impacted other banks and so on. One bank wont lend to another because you dont know when other will go bankrupt. The resulting recession lasted for years, causing trillions of dollars. Millions lost jobs. How to quantify job losses and social impacts like suicides because of it?? It affected the entire world, not just US. When he took decision probably he underestimated the impact of his decision. US was forced to save many other banks and AIB (if they still thought of morality and let them bankrupt entire world would have been on street by now).

History provides valuable lessons. If you don't learn from history you repeat mistakes(My History teacher told if Hitler read Nepoleans History he should not have attacked Russia). When you make decision you make it for future. You learn from the past. You need to see what path you may travel over the years because of the decision and how it will impact various stack holders. Decision making is a rational process. You need to estimate the impact for every year in future (for which impact can be felt) and see your decision will improve your fortune and other stack holders.

Emotional Impact

For example, you run a company and decided to sack 10 employees over 40 years of age. You probably know they may not find good job. So it may be a irreversible blow to them. You save one crore for your company. Is it a good decision or bad decision? Probably good decision. Say 1 out of 10 commit suicide after a month. You didnt foresee it. One has developed psychiatrist issues. Now , is your decision good or bad ? Impact analysis is quite important and it needs to be done with correct assumptions. In rational decision, the emotional impact also needs to be analyzed.

Input data

Input data you collect from various sources . Validate everything in neutral manner;whether you have got full information, if all data are on face value. If your decision is based on assumptions , if some assumption are wrong it will blow up decision. What if analysis could be helpful. Some input could be valid even from enemies. If Karna targeted Arjunas Chest as per Shalyas advise result could have been favorable to Karna. He just ignored as Shalya constantly ignored him. You can get input from any. But you are responsible for final decision. No , act very carefully.

Risk/Cost analysis

What risk you are avoiding? Is the risk manageable in any other cheaper way? What risk you are taking because of the decision? Will the result make you stronger over the time or weaker. What is cost /sacrifice you make? Have you estimated the entire cost correctly over the time? Write down for each year and calculate. How many people realize job switches are bad just after few days and switch again to see one more bad switch rather than staying to see a way out?

Foreseeing future
Future estimation needs assumption. The longer the impact of the decision, the difficult to forecast for all years. In analyzing company , no one can exactly predict more than 2 years of cash flow. In life, you dont know what will happen the next day. Decision making is not easy job. The longer the impact, probability of going wrong is more. Situation changes quickly to invalidate the assumptions. Nobody would have thought JIO will dominate in 2014.

Emotional quotient
If you are emotionally weak don't take decision. If you are facing tough times don't take important decisions. Decisions need to be with cool head and proper analysis. If you don't have a well wisher to criticize your decision , don't take decision. Thiruvalluvar says ,king who doesn't have a critic doesnt need enemies; will go down on his own.

Timing and opportunity cost
You are flying in a helicopter. Suddenly you realize the pilot is a guy who betrayed you and should be beaten up. Will you do it while flying? Everyone will go down. Rational minds wont commit suicide acts;Emotional minds may do that. You need to see what you lose (opportunity cost)

You face problem with a local goon and complain to police. You take a risk. Another goon picks up a fight with you. How many thugs you can fight? Life is not fighting with each and every crooks. Its about happiness. You need to see opportunity cost and impact while making decisions.

Warren Buffett
Buffett said around 20 decisions you make will shape your life. Even a single bad decision can blow many persons up. Anytime avoiding bad decisions should be the topmost priority.

Ramanujan notebook 1 has example of constructing magic square of 27.Additional condition it says is all number needs to be odd.

Middle element is 27/3=9.

Lets have the table structure

A+P

B+R

C+Q

C+R

A+Q

B+P

B+Q

C+P

A+R

We fix A+Q= 9 . We try to derive other numbers. We try to derive some more numbers from above table structure . if A+Q is 9, then (A+P)+(A+R) = 18 . 2A+P+R=18. Similarly from secondary diagonal A+B+C+3Q = 27.

Lets fix A=6, Q=3 then try different values so that P,Q,R are in arithmetic series, B,A,C in arithmetic series and use above equations to get values quickly

If A =6 => 2A+P+R=18 => P+R=6 . So we will try 1,3,5. We will keep left side triples odd numbers and right side even numbers. So that they will produce odd when we add. If A=6 ,Q=3 => A+B+C+3Q=27 =>B+C=12. So we will try the combinations add up to 12 for (B,C)

<colgroup><col span="7" style="mso-width-alt: 2816; mso-width-source: userset; width: 58pt;" width="77"></col>
</colgroup>

A+Q= C+P , so it wont form magic square. Lets increase common difference by 2 for right side series

Ramanujan notebook contains example of magic square of 15. Following the structure explained in ramanujan-magic-square-properties

Let us have the following format of the magic table

A+P

B+R

C+Q

C+R

A+Q

B+P

B+Q

C+P

A+R

For magic square of 15, middle element is 5. This should be A+Q . We can have following (A,Q) pairs . (1,4),(2,3) . (3,2) , (4,1) are repititions. (0,5) is a possibility. As middle element is 5, the sum of any other 2 number of middle column, middle row, both diagonal elements should be 10. if I have some ting like (1,10) for any column sum will shoot up to 16. So our range like between 1 to 9 only for this magic square.

With B,A,C should be arithmetic series, P,Q,R in arithmetic series we try to figure out which numbers can create the magic square.

We fix A,Q so that it adds up to 5. We set B,C so that it maintains same distance from A (AS). Similary we set P,R which maintains same distance ( here zero distance d=0) from Q. Then we calculate A+P,B+Q etc and see if numbers repeat. If it repeats its a failure we try to set different P,Rs and try. If right hand side triples have same values it will give same number when adding to left side triples. So we change to different arithmetic series by changing the common difference.
You can verify each rows sum, each columns sum, primary, secondary diagonal sum.

Here all numbers from 1 to 9 are present once. You can construct other magic squares by exchanging rows and through reflection over diagonal. But essentially modification of only one magic square .You cannot change to any other number and construct another.
Ramanujan work on school days on magic squares. This appears in his first notebook. A magic square is one , where each number is different, but adds up to same sum on all rows and columns and primary diagonals (left top to right bottom diagonal) and secondary diagonal.

He says to have 2 sets of numbers {A,B,C,D...} , {P,Q,R,S...} of n elements each to construct a magic square of n*n.If you sum like A+P,A+Q,A+R,A+S,B+Q,B+R... etc and fill each column and row so that each symbol don't repeat in the same row and same column it will be a magic square.

All single squares are magic squares. You cannot construct magic square with 2*2 squares as numbers need to repeat to have same sum.

Lets consider 3*3 magic square. We have two sets {A,B,C} and {P,Q,R}. If we try to fill each row and each column has unique symbol, diagonal will have repeating symbols like below.

<colgroup><col span="3" style="width: 48pt;" width="64"></col>

B+Q

C+P

A+R

You start with the sum of A+P , the next cell , you put another sum that's not present in the row like B+R and the next cell so on...

Here each row and each column add up to A+B+C+P+Q+R which is magic square's sum (S).
The primary diagonal and secondary diagonal also needs to be equal to this sum for it being magic square.

Primary diagonal sum = A+P+A+Q+A+R = 3A+ P+Q+R
This should be equal to each rows sum A+B+C+P+Q+R

i.e 3A+P+Q+R = A+B+C+P+Q+R
   2A = B+C
    A = (B+C)/2

In arithmetic series(AS) only middle element is average of previous and next element . So B,A,C should be in AS.'A' should be the middle element in the arithmetic series of B, A, C .

Similarly secondary diagonal sum = A+B+C+3Q which should be equal to A+B+C+P+Q+R for this to mach every row sum.

That gives Q = (P+R)/2 . P,Q, R should be in AS. Q should be the middle element .

Ramanujan derives middle element property of 3*3 magic square. Consider the following magic square.

<colgroup><col span="3" style="width: 48pt;" width="64"></col>
</colgroup>

a1

b1

c1

a2

r

c2

a3

b3

c3

the middle element r is getting counted in 4 summation of the magic square as follows.

middle row summation = a2+r+c2 = S ( as each row sums up to S in magic square)
middle column summation = b1+r+b3 = S ( as each column sums up to S in magic square)
primary diagonal summation = a1+r+c3 = S ( as primary diagonal sums up to S in magic square)
secondary diagonal summation = c1+r+a3 = S ( as secondary diagonal sums up to S in magic square)

Now if we add lefts and right sides

a2+c2+b1+b3+a1+c3+c1+a3+4r = 4S ( now we can remove one S for a1+a2+a3 , another S for c1+c2+c3)

b1+4r+b3 = 2S
b1+r+b3 + 3r = 2S (b1+r+b3 is equal to S so one S can be adjusted for the term)
3r = S
r = S/3

The middle element should be one third of magic row sum. If magic row sum is 15, Middle element needs to be 5 .

1)We have the format of magic square as shown in first table
2) We put magic square/3 as middle element.
3) We give values for B,A,C such that they are in Arithmetic series
4) We give values for P,Q,R such that such that they are in Arithmetic series.
5) While filling up we bear in mind about total sum and no element repetition rule. We are ready to build our magic squares.

A magic square of 15 is below .

<colgroup><col span="3" style="width: 48pt;" width="64"></col>
</colgroup>

2
