Now Walter has previously worked on the locomotive and motorcycles so he really wanted to build his own cars, so he masters to make pistons from aluminium instead of heavy old iron. so after he make it he installed them in to his cars it works out very well .After his pistons got popular government of England asked him to make the same for jet planes well again it works very well . So he earned nice money to start his own company.

The first Bentley 3 litres was built on 1921 with all race stuff in it for which they became known for extremely reliant , heavy sound engine with power . In 1925 captain wolf bornato buy his first Bentley and started winning race from it , later on he invested more money into this company and formed some team called the Bentley boys with other wealthy racers , so they all took control on entire Bentley .

In 1927 they win 24 hours lemans race and kept winning races for next 3 years in a row. And with time Bentley and there engines became bigger and powerful. In 1930 Walter capped off with 8 litres a massive 6 line cylinder that was guaranteed to do 100 miles per hour it made about 220 Bhp which was huge that time. so only 100 cars were made because of great recession that time.

After the world war 2 was over 1952 Bentley was established again with help of Rolls Royce engineer Ivan evernden by introducing R type continental Bentley , 7000 pounds r type was very popular at the time , by 1965 T series was introduced till 1980 like rolls Royce another look .

Rolls Royce and Bentley both were owned by engineering company called Vickers , 1998 Vickers sold both brands to Volkswagen . First time in 70 years bentley was back in lames 24 hours track race with a speed a prototype came in 2001 , following 2003 with 2 speed 8 .

Today we gonna review about Need for speed HEAT, now this game has been in here since more than 2 decades. Back in 2017 NFS payback version has some cool game play story line moments which are unforgettable. So here we have NFS heat which is well try by the developers of NFS which basically is after NFS underground. Frankly NFS heat is stepping in right direction for a series which is looking for filling up there wound it’s not a comeback to greatness but its still give you refreshing experience which you are hoping for .

So after you get into this game you will be in story line of some characters racers and you will be racing a town Palm city looks like video game Miami . so the racing is pretty awesome , you will find a great drifting option , its fast , aggressive , fun , incredible tuning sets , perfect side turn combo is fantastic which give you wow experience .

Game is divided in day and night; in the night mode game will give you a true graphics with wet streets, neon lights, its Holy shit street racing. Any time police can trace you and chase you which create kiosk in game , cops are aggressive , bad ass cops , your heat level will increase , and you need your heat level for tuning your car , you need cash and more you race in night more you earn with all risk . Also you will see movie like graphics cops are coming on bikes.

Car Customization is superb as well , new stickers , sound of exhaust , vinyl’s, decals, paint head light color , there are lot of stuff which is great , even more engine option , transitions , move your wheels like a crazy .

So bottom line is I am happy with the upgrade, graphics and NFS developers tried to do something more interesting.

It has been revealed in the email from the TAIWAN to the WHO back on 31^st Dec 2019, as the prediction and tracking of COVID 19 has been started by TAIWAN government as back 2002/03 SARS which also started from CHINA impacted to TAIWAN so after learning a lesson from the last pandemic Taiwan has warned WHO , but the response from WHO to it was totally unacceptable for the entire world .

As both the countries are neighbor so Taiwan set itself on high alert and took the mandatory precautions as it will be not a wrong statement that they actually been nearly successful to stop this pandemic . The travelers between china and Taiwan in 2019 were nearby ( 1 Crores ). And Taiwan was the first country in the world to get hit by COVID 19 from china , till date the number of total affected people are 440 , from which and 368 has been recovered , 65 active cases , only 7 people died , out of 3 crores of population . This is the best reaction and control form Taiwan government.

They have researched this disease form the day it was announce from china itself. So this is absolute a serious step taken by them and Taiwan government inform this to WHO on immediate effect but who response was pathetic. As WHO is completely backed up by Chinese government and without their permission seems like WHO is acting like a puppet.

Even during the TV online interview has been taken the Doctor of WHO has behaved like an totally insane, when the TV news channel asked him about the mail from Taiwan government he just kept quiet , after he said he didn’t hear the question and third time when he has been asked the same question he just disconnected the call and after reconnect he simply said let’s move to the next question ?? This interview has been conducted by a media channel of Hong Kong .

Even the sad reality is country like Taiwan which is fighting from China to get its own identity as a separate country, has no value in front of WHO , there is no fund and relief programme from WHO for the nation who did the correct step to prevent this pandemic to the entire world .

There is a big question to be answered by WHO to the entire world, because the funding has been given to WHO is from all the nations. And it is not wrong to ask WHO that why this pandemic was not announced to the world at the very beginning, why the permission and approval of China was involved?

The another great thing with this car is weight is so much balanced i mean weight over 2000 pounds feels very light when you drive this car. The weight of the car with engine it has is a great justice because this an honest feel.

Since every thing is close now days , due to pandenemic but koeniggsegg is still sweating up to make the most iconic 1700 BHP beats koeniggsegg gemera . Straight out to there assembly sweaty , streesed team which are working on this new Breed of koeniggsegg.

This is a hypercar , with 8 cup holders and 4 seats in it , which will be only produced only 300 cars .

WHY THE NAME GEMERA ?

So the owner of Koenigsegg Mr .Christian von Koenigsegg was working on the name of the car and suddenly his mother came with this cool name which is GE - TO GIVE, MERA - MORE in swedish.
Which sounds very familiar with the car itself , more seats , more space , more excitement

SPECIFICATIONS & PERFORMANCE :

It has four seats, hot and cold cupholders, and the ability to store four adults’ carry-on luggage. It has 1,700bhp, 2,580lb ft of torque, the ability to go from 0-62mph in 1.9s and up to 250mph / 400KMPH in “record matching pace”. And that’s not all – the powertrain is bonkers too.

Its a all wheel drive, Gemera has all-wheel steering and torque vectoring. In line with other Koenigsegg models, the chassis has a carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium sub-structures. The car features electronically adjustable ride height.

The main design feature of the Gemera is the lack of a B-pillar and two large dihederal doors which open forward to allow easier access to the leather upholstered four-seater cabin. Creature comforts include a total of eight heated and cooled cup-holders, driver assistance systems, four touchscreens (two 13-inch central touchscreens along with two additional screens for the side and rear view cameras), infotainment system for the front and rear passengers, front and rear wireless phone chargers, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi connection, a three-zone climate system, electrically adjustable seats and a premium audio system with 11 speakers.

Most Iconic Rivals Samsung S 20 Vs Huawei P 40

Looking at the key differences between the brand new Huawei P40 Pro,and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, So ideally we will be doing this comparison between the S20 Ultra and the P40 Pro Plus,but that device is still some time away,it could be a month, maybe more.So for the time being, let;s look at the best from Huawei versus the best from Samsung.

Samsung S20 Vs Huawei P 40

So initially, let;s talk about the design and the build.Both of these are very premium.They;re both using a metal frame with curved glass panels on the front and the back,and they both also have a rectangular camera module on the left hand side of the back.The S20 Ultra does have a larger camera module,and it;s also a larger overall device.So, I would say that the P40 Prois more comfortable overall it;s also a little bit lighter.Both devices are IP68 water and dust resistance.But, I do like the look of the P40 Pro overall from the back, the camera module is smaller and you also have more color options.Quite nice-looking color options actually whereas the S20 Ultra is pretty plain.You;ve just got the gray and the black. Now if we turn the devices around,then things are a little bit different.I actually prefer the overall look of the S20 Ultra because you do have a smaller punch out which is in the center versus the pill sheet punched outthat we;ve got on the P40 Pro.This kind of reminds me of the S10 Plus that we had last year.And don;t get me wrong, it;s there for a reason.There are some sensors inside here,which we;ll talk about in a little bit.But overall, aesthetically speaking,I do prefer the look of the front of the S20 Ultra,versus that of the Huawei P40 Pro.

Display

Now let;s talk a little bit about these displays.So both displays are all the displays,you do get a larger display on the S20 Ultra.One of the reasons why it;s a bigger device,and you also have a higher resolution on the S20 Ultra with a higher 120 hertz refresh rate.Now, that sounds all good on paper but one of the things is with the S20 Ultra that if you do want that 120 hertz refresh rate,then you can only use that at full HD resolution.So that;s 10 ATP, it;s not going to work with Quad HD plus resolution.The P40 Pro on the other hand, has a resolution that kind of sits in between HD and Quad HD,and it also has a refresh rate that sits between 60 hertz and 120 hertz.So it;s a 90 hertz display and I think this is quite smart from Huawei because it gives you a good balance overall,you;re not going to get crazy high resolution or crazy high refresh rate but you have something that;s going to give you good resolution higher than full HD and a higher refresh rate than your standard 60 hertz.So, I think this is going to come down to your personal preference in my opinion,both of these are very, very good displays,I can;t really complain on using either of these.

On display finger print scanner

On both devices also have an in display fingerprint scanner which is very, very fast on both of these.You;ve got an optical in-display fingerprint scanner on the P40 Pro.It;s an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on the S20 Ultra.Now realistically speaking, I think both of these,although there;s different technology, in my experience,they both are very, very fast and work really well.

Camera

The cameras so we have got some very interesting camera setups here on both of these devices. And both have a similar camera setup in that they have a primary camera, an ultra wide camera,a zoom camera with periscope technology which is going to give you roughly around five times optical zoom,and then there;s also a time of flight sensor for depth information.Now let;s break these cameras down.So for the primary cameras,the S20 Ultra does have a high resolution,but remember pixels on everything and realistically speaking on both of these devices you are going to be shooting up, roughly around 12 megapixels,that;s when you;re going to be able to get the most out of these cameras and the sensors.And the P40 Pro does have a slightly larger sensor size.Now both of these have very large sensors which will be great for low light.Now the Huawei P40 Pro does take things a little bit differently and it does have a red yellow on a blue sense rather than the traditional red,green and blue and while we see this allows it to capture more light. This is also the case with the periscope zoom camera,a red yellow on a blue sensor versus the red green and blue,12 megapixels versus 48 megapixels but once again,you;re going to be pretty much shooting at 12 megapixels.You;ve got roughly about five times optical zoom on both of these with higher zoom lens for hybrid zoom and as it says on here on the S20 Ultra,you do have up to 100 times digital zoom but honestly speaking, I;ve said this before,it;s not really practical to use at that level.It;s there, but I wouldn;t really recommend using it and I do think that, you know, it;s a bit of a gimmick,calling it 100 times zoom camera when the results that you get are not really usable.Now for the ultra wide cameras,the P40 Pro does have a higher overall resolution,but the S20 Ultra does have a wider field of view.So you;re going to be able to capture more into your shot with that.

Video Capturing

Some of the software updates I;m still waiting for. Now when it comes to video, the S20 Ultra can film at up to 8K, so it does get that advantage here.Now 8K footage is very, very sharp.It does crop in.It;s not really that usable,if you;re going to be using a hand held you do have to have it on a tripod.Nevertheless, it is impressive to have 8K video recording on a smartphone.This is something that you don;t have on the P40 Pro.You;ve got 4K up to 60 frames a second on both devices and for the front-facing cameras,the S20 Ultra has a high resolution but as mentioned,the P40 Pro does have that additional depth sensor.Once again, we are going to have to really see lots of results.

Processor & Storage

The S20 Ultra, you can either have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset,or the Exynos 990 series.Now which one of these you getwill vary depending on your region.Having used both myself,I can tell you that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipsetis better overall in terms of performance and battery life especially.But nevertheless, both are very, very fastthe Kirin 995 chipset is what we;ve got on the P40 Pro,which is also very, very fast.I think in terms of speed and performance,both of these are right up there.The S20 Ultra does come with more RAM.You;ve got 12 gigabytes as a base with an option for 16 gigabytes, whereas the P40 Pro just comes with eight gigabytes of RAM.And for storage, the P40 Pro does come with a larger base storage version of 256 gigabytes.The S20 Ultra comes with a base of 128 gigabytes and you can get a 512 gigabyte option.Both devices do have expandable storage.However, the P40 Pro it is a proprietary nano memory card which is from Huawei. On the S20 Ultra, you do have a standard micro SD card so that;s going to be much cheaper and much more easily accessible to expand storage on the S20 Ultra.Now, let;s a little bit about the audio.So neither of these of course have a 3.5 mm jack.This is something that we;ve had to say goodbye to a long time ago.But the S20 Ultra does have series speakers.There;s one bottom firing and there;s one in the APs. The P40 Pro only has a single bottom firing speaker.So the S20 Ultra when it does come to the overall audio experience, I do prefer it compared to the P40 Pro.And when it comes to the batteries,the S20 Ultra also has a larger battery.You;ve got a 5,000 milliamp hour battery versus the 4,200 milliamp hour battery.Now in terms of battery life, the S20 Ultrain my use has been very, very good especially the Qualcomm Snapdragon version,which has been around 20% better in my experience compared to the Exynos version.

The P40 Pro, But have some advantages that the P40 Pro does have over the S20 Ultra when it comes to charging.Firstly, you;ve got 40 watt charging out of the box.So that;s included,you;re not going to have to buy that separately.The S20 Ultra comes with a 25 watt charger out of the box,although you can get a 45 watt charger.You do have to buy that separately however.On the P40 Pro also has passed the wireless charging,27 watt fast wireless charging.Now the P40 Pro Plus does have up to 40 watt wireless charging,but this is unfortunately not the case here on the P40 Pro.I say unfortunately but 27 watts wireless charging is faster than most wireless charging out thereon lots of other devices.Both devices also have reverse wireless charging,so you can charge other devices using these devices.Now, I;m not sure of the exact speed.This hasn;t been specified, I;ll try to test this out and see which one is faster.And before we move on to pricing and availability,let;s talk about software.I;ve left this to the end because there;s a lot to talk about.So the S20 Ultra, Android 10 comes with one UI on top.Works really well, software;s absolutely fine.The P40 Pro, unfortunately does not come with Google Play services.So it;s got Android 10 with EMUI 10.1,and there is easy ways to get most most of your apps.So you can see here, I;ve got Facebook, Twitter,Instagram, Whats App, Outlook.They all work absolutely fine.And, sometimes you do have to take a few extra steps to get those apps.But generally speaking,it;s not that much of a hard experience.However, you won;t be able to get Google Play services here on the P40 Pro, not for now anyway.

Motorola’s phones have generally been frugal when it comes to power consumption, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that its flagship devices have traditionally had average battery sizes.

ZENVO TSR-S CRAZY SPOILER

One of the many cars that were supposed to debut at the canceled 2020 Geneva Motor Show was an updated variant of the Zenvo TSR-S. A road-going version of the track-only TSR, the Danish hypercar was originally unveiled a couple of years ago and it’s already getting a few tweaks for 2020. Making its online debut today, the latest version of the twin-supercharged machine (yes, it has two superchargers) takes advantage of the company’s newest developments in carbon fiber.

The previous alloy wheels of the TSR-S have been removed to make room for a carbon fiber set that has shaved off approximately 15 kilograms (33 pounds) per set. Making just one wheel takes a lot of work as Zenvo says two technicians need about a week, and customers can optionally have the shiny new shoes with a colored tint or keep the exposed look.

As a refresher, the TSR-S has a flat-plane 5.8-liter V8 twin-supercharged engine producing 1,177 horsepower sent to the wheels through a sequential transmission with a dog-leg pattern. If you’re not a fan of changing gears like race car drivers do, there’s also a Road mode that allows the driver to go through gears using the aluminum switchgear mounted on the steering wheel. New for 2020 is what Zenvo refers to as a “hybrid module” for the gearbox, “which yields a power boost, further traction control and even the addition of an eighth forward gear with the electric motor providing reverse drive.”

A new "cheap" iPhone to succeed the iPhone SE

Apple fans looking for a bargain on a new iPhone may be in luck this year.

The company is reportedly planning to launch a new version of the iPhone SE in 2020, according to reports from Bloomberg, Nikkei Asian Review and Kuo. The phone is said to be entering production in February and could be released in March, Bloomberg reported.

The original iPhone SE, which launched in 2016, was significantly cheaper than Apple's flagship smartphones at $400 and resembled the iPhone 5S.

Gather together a group of car enthusiasts and ask them to pick their favorites and you’ll be in for a spirited debate. Any topic this subjective will raise passions, as each argues for and against the merits of one car against the other. In the end, everybody’s right and everybody’s wrong.

So when we decided to pick what we considered to be the most significant pony cars built from 1967 – 1970, we knew we’d be walking into a buzz saw of controversy. Readers would bombard us with letters questioning everything from our reasoning to our ancestry. That’s fine; we always appreciate reader input. But before you begin emailing your opinions, consider our criteria and reasoning, and we think you’ll agree that our choices certainly stand on their individual merits.

We chose to narrow the field to 1967 – 1970 for several reasons. While the Mustang was introduced in 1964 ½, there was no competition for Ford’s first pony car. Plymouth had released the Barracuda two weeks before Ford on April 1, 1964, however, it was a Valiant with a fastback, not truly in the Mustang’s pony car genre.

The second reason is, by 1967, all the major players had entered the pony car field with the exception of American Motors, who would come to market with the Javelin and AMX in 1968. The pony car market was maturing and each manufacturer had built their cars on the long hood/short deck template that Ford had first stamped out in 1964½.

Further evolution of the collective breed could be found in peripheral influences that helped accelerate pony car sales. For the first time, large displacement engines were offered in pony cars, allowing them to enter and compete in the super hot muscle car market. The up and coming Sports Car Club of America’s Trans-Am series was just the ticket for Ford and Chevrolet to wrestle for dominance. By 1970 every pony car manufacturer had smacked fenders in the Trans-Am, which had in three short years passed Formula 1 in popularity in America. Race on Sunday and sell on Monday never had more meaning than it did for pony cars in 1970.

As you read about each of our candidates, we think you’ll agree that the choices we’ve made make sense. Within the context of their time, these seven cars helped shape the destiny of the American pony car.

1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

1967 Camaro Z28 – Owner: Rick Treworgy of Punta Gorda, FL

When Chevrolet introduced the Camaro on September 29, 1966, Ford’s monopoly on the pony car market was over. The Camaro measured almost inch for inch to the Mustang, and matched its option list line for line. Its fluid shape highly contrasted to the Mustang’s more chiseled looks.

On December 29, 1966, Chevrolet released the Z28 option to homologate the Camaro for Trans-Am racing. To meet the series’ 305 cubic inch engine limit, Chevrolet combined the bore of their 327 cubic inch block with the stroke of the 283 cubic inch engine’s crank, producing 302 cubic inches. Ridiculously under-rated at 290 horsepower, the Z28’s solid lifter, short stroke engine came alive at 3500rpm and easily zipped right up to 7000rpm.

The Z28 was literally a racecar for the street. Along with the 302 engine, the Z28 came standard with dual, low restriction exhaust, special heavy duty suspension, heavy duty radiator with temperature controlled fan, quick ratio steering, 15×6 wheels on 7.35×15 nylon red stripe tires, 3.73:1 rear gearing and black paint stripes on the hood and decklid.

The Z28 required a host of mandatory options like four-speed gearbox, power brakes (with or without front discs). There were actually four different versions of the Z28 option. The base option as described above cost $358.10. Three others came from the factory with equipment packed in the trunk for dealer or customer installation. A Z28 option with a special air cleaner that ducted to the cowl cost $437.10, with exhaust headers, the price was $779.80, and with plenum air intake and headers, the cost was $858.40.

Chevrolet produced just 602 1967 Z28s, and that was mainly because the dealer body wasn’t even aware of the option. Regardless, the ’67 Z28 established new standards for American performance sedans and laid the groundwork for a new generation of small block, high-performance engines from Ford and Chrysler. Whether on the street or the road course, the Z28 became an instant legend.

1967 Ford Mustang GT

1967 Mustang GT – Owner: Rob Timken of Clearwater, FL

By 1967, the car that started the pony car phenomenon just three years earlier was growing long in the tooth. “It would seem,” Car & Driver noted, “that Ford has been content to rest on its laurels, while the rest of the industry has gone all out to win a piece of the Mustang market.”

Ford gave the Mustang its first facelift in 1967 in anticipation of Chevrolet’s new Camaro. More important than the cosmetic redo, however, were the engineering changes made under the hood. Ford knew their arch-rival would be coming out of the chute with a large displacement engine option (Chevy didn’t get the 396 V8 out until November), so to remain competitive, Ford widened the front suspension’s girth to allow their 390 cubic inch FE series engine to fit. Getting a big displacement engine into the Mustang was an absolute marketing necessity. Using the “dumb four door” 390 was an absolute disappointment to Blue Oval fans who had hoped to give the Camaro newcomer a solid shellacking on the street. Still, a total of 28,800 Mustangs were sold equipped with the 390 engine in 1967.

Ford – 390 cu in (6.4 L) Big Block FE V8 4-barrel

Given that the 390 was rated at only 320 horsepower (the base 396 engine had 325 – with options up to 375 horsepower), the Mustang was at a disadvantage. The 390 produced gobs of torque (427 lbs.-ft. @ 3200rpm) great for towing Air Streams but not for sucking the doors off Chevys. What was significant about the 390 Mustang (which looked street-snazzy in GT form), was that it laid the groundwork for a powerful generation of Mustangs that would arrive it 1968, led by the 428 Cobra Jet. After watching a stock 1968 428 CJ Mustang click off the quarter-mile in 13.56 seconds at 106.6 mph (fully two seconds faster than the 390), Hot Rod would be moved to exclaim, “It is probably the fastest regular production sedan ever built.”

From there, Ford would build a line of muscular Mustangs from 428 Mach 1s to Boss 429s that would take on the big block Chevys, 455 Trans Ams and the dreaded Plymouth Hemis. These powerful ponies would acquit themselves well in battle, both on the street and the track. That would be several years after Ford’s “Total Performance” program first mated the Mustang with the 390 back in 1967.

1969 Pontiac Trans Am

1969 Trans Am – Owner: Jeff Reiland of Burnsville, MN

From the time he was Chief Engineer until he was appointed Pontiac’s General Manager in 1965, John Z. DeLorean wanted to build a two-seat sports car. Not to compete against the up-scale Corvette, but to take on the Mustang. Time and again he took his proposals and clays to GM management, and time and again he was shot down. So when he learned in 1966 that he would be getting a version of GM’s Mustang fighter six months after Chevrolet would release their version, he wasn’t completely gung ho on the assignment.

Pontiac – 400 cu in (6.6 L) Ram Air V8

That extra six months allowed Pontiac to improve the GM F-car. While the fundamental sheet metal was the same, the Firebird shared little else with the Camaro. Pontiac was able to refine the brakes and suspension and with its 215-horsepower overhead cam six engine, the Firebird was as close to a European sports sedan as Detroit could make. Along with two OHC sixes, Pontiac offered two 326 cubic inch V8s and a 400 that produced 325 horsepower.

The prize each pony car manufacturer eyed was the Trans-Am series, and Pontiac was ready to enter the fray against Chevy and Ford. What handcuffed Pontiac was its lack of a small displacement engine. While they could have destroked their 350 cubic inch V8, it couldn’t produce the kind of power needed for racing. An 18-month crash program to build a 303 cubic inch engine with special round port heads resulted in frustration, and Pontiac ended up never being a contender in the Trans-Am race series.

That didn’t mean they couldn’t cash in on the SCCA’s name. Pontiac developed an option for the 1969 Firebird that used the series’ name and agreed to pay the SCCA a $5 per car royalty for every Trans Am sold. A total of 697 Trans Ams were built that first year, either with the standard 400 cubic inch Ram Air III or the optional Ram Air IV. What made the 1969 Trans Am significant to pony car history wasn’t its first year of production, but how the nameplate successfully lasted for an additional 33 years, especially through the tough mid- to late 1970s. Pontiac sold hundreds of thousands of Trans Ams and, until the end of 1982 it was the Corvette’s only competitor. It may have never raced, but thanks to that $5 spiff, the Pontiac Trans Am made a ton of money for the Sports Car Club of America.

1970 AAR Plymouth ’Cuda

1970 AAR Plymouth ’Cuda – Owner: Scott Waddell of St. Petersburg, FL

Even if Plymouth hadn’t chosen to go racing in the Trans Am series, the AAR ’Cuda would still have been one of the most memorable muscle/pony cars of 1970. Inspired by the All American Racing team of Dan Gurney, the AAR ’Cuda was a preponderance of strobe stripes, matte black hood, side pipes and a 340 engine that boasted a trio of Holley two barrel carburetors parked on an Edelbrock intake manifold, right from the factory.

Plymouth – 340 cu in (5.6 L) LA V8

Rated at 290 horsepower, the AAR ’Cuda’s 340 engine used the same block and heads as the race engine, however it was much calmer than the race version, which produced over 460 horsepower. Road tests of the day indicate the AAR ’Cuda was an excellent road car. The usually unrepentant three-deuce carburetor setup was smooth throughout the rpm range. That was unusual since multiple carburetion was usually either lethargic under low acceleration or neck snapping when the wood was put to it with no in between.

The Barracuda’s redesign in 1970 made it wider, lower and longer, and finally in a class with the Camaro, Firebird, and Mustang. While Dan Gurney and Swede Savage didn’t fare well in racing, the AAR ’Cuda didn’t do badly in the showroom selling 2,727 copies (the SCCA homologation rule was 2,500). When Plymouth chose to drop out of the Trans-Am in 1971, the AAR ’Cuda was withdrawn.

Today, the AAR ’Cuda is more a testament of how Detroit could dress up a performance car with what many young drivers were doing on the street. Blacked out hoods, side exhausts and multiple carburetion were popular at Drive-In parking lots where high schoolers congregated with their cars on Saturday nights. Not many 18 year olds actually could buy an AAR ’Cuda, but it was a sure bet they had posters hanging on their bedroom walls. Did that translate into more Barracuda sales? Probably not, but it was all about the image, baby, and Plymouth had that in spades.

1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator

1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator – Owner: Gregory Fritz of Ramsey, MN

When Ford chose to give a pony car to the Lincoln/Mercury division, it was a foregone conclusion that it would be accorded a posh interior, soft ride, and luxury looks. The resulting 1967 Cougar was all that and more. It featured disappearing headlamps, a 200-horsepower 289 cubic inch engine and sequential lighting rear tail lamps. The XR-7 option included a 390 cubic inch engine, four speed transmission and upgraded interior.

Even Lincoln/Mercury couldn’t resist the temptation to jump into the muscle/pony car market in 1969, even though the Cougar had no performance heritage to speak off. In what has to be one of the most stilted advertising phrases of the ’60s, Mercury launched their “Streep Scene.” Streep being a combination of strip and street, see? To ballyhoo their drag racing efforts, Mercury commissioned “Dyno” Don Nicholson to campaign a tube-framed Cougar funny car named “Eliminator.”

That lead to a high performance street version that for 1970 featured a standard 300-horsepower, 351 cubic inch engine, rear deck wing, matte black hood scoop with an optional bold black strip running from the grille to the scoop, and black body stripes that extended along the upper belt line. Also optional was the 335-horsepower, 428 Cobra Jet with Ram Air as well as the “Drag Pack,” which featured an engine oil cooler and 4.30:1 Detroit Locker differential. Even the Boss 302 engine was on the order sheet.

While Mercury didn’t fail to install the necessary hardware to make the Eliminator run like a performance pony car and look like a performance pony car, what they couldn’t do was bolt an image onto the Cougar. It was virtually impossible to sell the youth market on the premise that their father’s Mercury was hotter than a Mustang, Camaro or Firebird. That was the kiss of death, and after 2,267 were sold in 1970, the Eliminator and the “Streep Scene” were swept away. It was a textbook lesson in how Mercury failed to understand it took more than a flashy name to establish credibility with a young, but very critical market.

1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger

1970 Hemi Challenger – Owner: Cheryl Leopold of Clearwater, FL

After watching from the sidelines since 1965, Dodge was finally in the pony car fracas with their new 1970 Challenger. They had chosen to take a pass on Chrysler’s offer for a Barracuda version in 1966, instead introducing the mid-sized Charger. And while the Charger hit its stride beginning with the beautifully redesigned 1968 model, Dodge still chomped at the bit for a pony car. The Challenger may have been the last pony car nameplate in the marketplace, and it couldn’t match the Camaro or Mustang in sales volume, but it still managed to outsell its Barracuda sibling by almost 50 percent.

Dodge – 426 cu in (6.98 L) Hemi V8

The Challenger was actually larger than the Barracuda, with a two-inch longer wheelbase, and shared little with its Plymouth cousin. The Challenger had a complete line of nine available engines, from the indestructible Slant Six all the way up to the King Kong of all street engines, the 426 cubic inch Hemi. Named for the design of its hemispherical combustion chamber, the Hemi was fundamentally a race engine detuned for the street. With dual four-barrel carburetors, solid lifter valve train and 425 horsepower on tap, the Hemi was finicky to run on the street. But when in full song, the Hemi could propel the Challenger down the quarter-mile in mid 13 second elapsed times. Not bad for a 3,800 pound pony car.

Inside, the Challenger’s interior was driver oriented, with three large, round pods that, when ordered, contained optional gauges including tachometer. The transmission of choice for Dodge fans was the bullet proof 727 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic, which had earned its bones with performance fans in the early days of Super Stock racing. Those who chose to shift for themselves had to handle the awkward “Pistol Grip” shifter and lumbering A-833 manual four-speed. Most chose the TorqueFlite.

While the 440 cubic inch Six-Pack V8 with its 390 horsepower could beat the Hemi like a drum, on the street, there was no other engine with the image or the heritage. From super speedway NASCAR racing to wheel-standing NHRA competition, the Hemi was the undisputed heavyweight champ. Just 356 customers chose to throw down the extra $648 for a Hemi in the R/T model ($779 in any other Challenger). It was worth every penny just to drive a legend in its own time.

All through the 1960s and early 1970s, American Motors Corporation had to fight for a very small slice of the American automotive market. “If you had to compete with GM, Ford, and Chrysler,” AMC once asked in an advertisement, “what would you do?” To capture their small share, AMC had to develop alternative choices for the consumer. When AMC discovered performance and pony cars in 1968, they shed their old staid image. Car & Driver thought “American Motors had stopped holding its pants up with both belt and suspenders.”

When the Javelin was released on September 26, 1967, AMC had done their homework well and built a car that met all the standard pony car criteria – long hood/short deck, 2+2 cockpit and plenty of options. In its first year, the Javelin won the praises of road testers and outsold the Barracuda. It was a credible entry into the market, however, AMC had a trump card.

That ace in the hole was called the AMX, and it was the alternative card that AMC played not against the Mustang or the Camaro, but the Corvette. Was it a sports car or was it a two-seat sporty car? Or was it a long hood/short deck pony car that was honest enough to admit what all the others wouldn’t, and that was the idea of a real rear seat in a pony car was a wicked canard?

The AMX cost two grand less than the Corvette, and by 1970 had built a solid reputation with a small cadre of performance enthusiasts. In its final iteration, the 1970 AMX was the best of the run, with a 360 cubic inch engine standard (the 390 was optional), functional Ram Air, redesigned front suspension and vented front brakes. The front end was face lifted and extended two inches. Inside, the cockpit was redone, with a flat, wood-grained instrument panel reminiscent of an English sports car. Large nacelles placed the instruments clearly in front of the driver, and a rim blow steering wheel and high-back bucket seats were standard. AMC minted 4,116 AMXs in 1970 and then bowed out of the two-seater market.

As an alternative to the Corvette, the AMX did what it was intended to do, and did it briskly. In their December 1969 issue, Motor Trend put a 390 AMX to the test and netted 0-60 acceleration in 6.56 seconds and recorded a quarter-mile in 14.68/92 mph. Those times placed it clearly in Corvette territory, or was it Camaro territory? Or better yet, AMX territory.

Hardware and design

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is a big phone. Too big, maybe. At 76 x 166.9 x 8.8 mm and 220 grams, it’s longer, thicker, and heavier than the Galaxy Note 10+, which itself is hardly small. Even those with sizable hands are going to find using the S20 Ultra with just one of them a stretch, assuming they don’t want to drop it.

Clearly Samsung expects its Ultra buyers to be serious, sober sorts, too. While the Galaxy S20 and S20+ are both available in at least one colorful finish each, the S20 Ultra sticks with eminently sensible black and grey. It’s not a bad grey, but I can’t help but wish there was a blue or a red to brighten things up.

Gorilla Glass 6 sandwiches a metal frame, punctuated with a USB-C port on the bottom along with some carefully-milled speaker holes. It’s hardly new territory for Samsung, but then again it didn’t need to be. We’re a long way from the days of the company’s flagships being plasticky and cheap-feeling, and the S20 Ultra feels just as premium as an iPhone 11 Pro Max does.

Dubai Municipality launches Flying Rescuer Drone for Beach Rescue

As part of its keenness to maintain the safety and security of public beach users in the Emirate, Dubai Municipality has developed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), the "Flying Rescuer," the first of its kind in the world in terms of design and use.
Khalid Sharif Al Awadhi, Chief Executive Officer of Environment, Health and Safety Sector, said: "The Emirate is keen to provide all safety standards for all its residents and efforts are constantly being exerted in Dubai Municipality to implement practices to enhance the safety principle especially in destinations that are witnessing continuous growth in the number of visitors such as beaches. The Municipality pays great attention to the development of coastal safety systems according to the latest and most advanced methods. The "Flying Rescuer" is the first of its kind in the world UAV, which is currently being used around the world designed only for individual rescue operations."

Eng. Alia Al Harmoudi, Director of Environment Department, said: "The Municipality has developed an excellent local UAV or drone, whose unique design is capable of responding to group or individual drowning cases. The drone can transport up to four rings of lifebuoys to the drowning incident area which can support up to eight drowning people at the same time. It can also be used with a rescue raft that automatically inflates when it touches the water instead of buoys to save several people at the same time. The "Flying Rescuer" gives the initial response to drowning so that the human rescuers have access to the situation, which makes the rescue operations on holidays and weekends easier."

The "Flying Rescuer" is one of the latest innovations added to the Coastal Rescue and Safety System run by the Municipality, which has achieved zero "deaths" due to drowning cases since its opening in 2016. The total number of rescue and relief cases was 2,139, of which 330 were group drowning cases or 15% of all rescue and relief operations at the rate of 3 to 4 people drowning at the same time.

The "Flying Rescuer" consists of a double fan mounted on four folding arms known as Octa-X8 capable of carrying a load of 8 kg. It can be remote controlled manually or by determining a specific path for the device and launching it on auto mode to automatically follow its path. It is also possible to remotely control the launch of rescue buoys or rafts reaching the drowning site. The drone is also equipped with two cameras, one for high precision navigation for live video transmission up to one kilometer from the control point and the other to facilitate the launch of rescue pipes and buoys to the drowning area precisely. The UAV has a battery life of up to 30 minutes, allowing multiple flights without having to recharge the battery. It also has the ability to operate at high temperatures in Dubai in the summer.

Even as the coronavirus outbreak takes the world by storm, a number of other diseases are also rearing their ugly heads. Cases of swine flu and bird flu have already been reported in India and other countries. Now, a man from China has tested positive for hantavirus.

China’s Global Times tweeted that the man from Yunnan Province died while on his way back to Shandong Province for work on a bus on Monday. The 32 other people on the bus were also tested for the virus.

What exactly is the hantavirus?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), hantaviruses are a family of viruses which are spread mainly by rodents and can cause varied diseases in people.

It can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) and haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS).

The disease is not airborne and can only spread to people if they come in contact with urine, feces, and saliva of rodents and less frequently by a bite from an infected host.

Symptoms of hantavirus

Early symptoms of HPS include fatigue, fever, and muscle aches, along with headaches, dizziness, chills and abdominal problems. If left untreated, it can lead to coughing and shortness of breath and can be fatal, with a mortality rate of 38 percent, according to CDC.

While the initial symptoms of HFRS too remain the same, it can cause low blood pressure, acute shock, vascular leakage, and acute kidney failure.

HPS can't be passed on from person to person, while HFRS transmission between people is extremely rare.

As per the CDC, rodent population control is the primary strategy for preventing hantavirus infections.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Shelby GT500's single powertrain—a 760-hp supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 that revs to 7500 rpm with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic—is engineered for speed but trying to put the engine's full might through only the rear tires means this Shelby isn't as quick as you might expect. We anticipate the GT500 will be good for a 3.5-second rip to 60 mph and an 11.0-second quarter-mile once we run one through our testing protocol. Cars with significantly less power but more rear grip, such as the mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette, will handily outrun that zero-to-60-mph time.

There is a rumor circulating around that the Galaxy Fold 2 has an incredible 108 MP camera, which is possible because the Samsung Galaxy S11 / S20 Ultra is said to be sporty.

Other rumors suggest that the foldable phone will instead have a 12 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultralight lens, which is slightly more reliable than the original 12 MP cameras.

The front camera is believed to be 10 MP and is likely to be a hole punch design to make folding easier.

Processor

Rumor has it that the Galaxy Fold 2 uses the same Snapdragon 855 chipset as the original, which is interesting considering that the newer Snapdragon 865 is now widely available and allegedly used by the Samsung Galaxy S11 / S20.

Like the original, the Galaxy Fold 2 supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, and it offers faster charging speeds than the first flip.
