If we just wanted to play dice, well we can pick a gambler and send him to Las Vegas.
Politically, our law can't handle people like Jammarkattel and Parshuram. Even the very same PM Babu Ram Bhattarai, defends accused murderer and creates haven for criminals proven guilty by court.Impunity is on rife.So its suicidal to provide insurance against this very thing that we all know is protected by politicians according to their interest. PM BRB bold claim to sort things out in order is skeptical with his current actions and ironically his government fate's is undecided after Mangshir 14. The UCPN Maoist party that the Premier represent, itself, has taken hold of properties during the insurgency period, which they are reluctant to return. The Surya Nepal Garment just got closed because of the protest and strike called by Trade Union affiliated to the PM's Maoist party. Upper Karnali Project is still being obstructed by local Maoist cadres. The facts and figures just doesn't match the statements and rhetoric. Sad but true!

Economically, large foreign investment, flooding from India, will be a threat to the mediocre and cottage industry of Nepal. Indian money will make it hard to compete for Nepalese. Investment must be controlled and monitored according to national interest, not that we let em enter blindly and give em license to mess around with economic structure. With this increase dependency on single "India" factor, we might not be planning our economy right. We are behind, and we need to rebuild our economy from the base root, not from the top. May be if the same protectionism is given to the domestic company and investment for a time being, we could see different result. Why not experiment first in our own country for our own entrepreneurs.
Its good to be optimistic, but when signing long term treaty that affect mass, may be there should have been proper study,at least of current scenario to next 5 year position. May be BRB was in haste to sign the treaty during his premiership.
The politics is bleak, the peace process is fragile. Economy is stagnant, Corporatism is greedy.
We dont want our tax money to flow southward along with our river.

Recovering SMS/Text Message from iPhone!

So you have deleted a SMS (Swipe - Delete) just to find out later that it had some important info and you jumped into this page after hustle Googling for How to :) . Hush, you can get the SMS text content, provided, you haven't synced your iPhone, i.e, you haven't synced or updated your iPhone after the moment you have deleted your message.

1. Connect you iPhone to the computer MAKE SURE it doesn't gets sync automatically. (In my case, luckily, i had unchecked Open iTunes and Sync Automatically when connected). If you aren't that lucky, then try brute aborting sync the moment you connect your iPhone. Good Luck! :)

2. Once your iPhone is connected, Right click your iPhone(name) and click Back Up(Only).

3. After the backup is done, navigate to the back up folder, i.e ( "C:\Users\<your_computer_username>\Roaming\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\") and double click the backup folder .( note: the modified date of the folder will be of today )</your_computer_username>
<your_computer_username>
</your_computer_username>
4. There you will find list of different back up files, search for the file that starts with "3d0....". This file name too will be of modified date today. Since you just backed up the iPhone.

5. Open the file in Notepad++, and search the text content with the "Senders Name" or any part of the SMS text that you remember.

6. Voila...you will find your the deleted SMS Contents there.

Disclaimer:I cannot guarantee the success of this process. For me, I followed this process on my iPhone4 32 GB Black, running on iOS 4.2.1 Powered by DevTeam with iTunes 10.2.1 on Windows 7.

Also i found a great method to backup all your SMS to a new database table archive, so that you can find your SMS there no matter what CRUD action you do with the default Message DB table.
For this you need to have have your iPhone Jailbroken (See here).

Steps:

1) Download "iPhone Browser" from here. Connect your iPhone and navigate to (/private/var/mobile/Library/SMS/sms.db). Copy the sms.db to desktop.

2) Open the SMS.db (I used SQLite Manager for Firefox which is free, you can use "Sqlite Browser") select “message” table then right click and select “Duplicate Table”

3) You’ll get a new table called “message_copy” select and rename it to “shadow” (or any other name you want)

4) Scroll down to “Triggers” option in the left, right click and select “New Trigger” once new window apperas select “message” in the drop down “Table Name”

5) In option “Fire” select “AFTER” then “On Event” option check “Insert”.

6) Click now on the upper tab called “Body”, erase all the content an copy this:

BEGIN
INSERT INTO shadow (address,date,text,flags) VALUES (new.address,new.date,new.text,new.flags);
END

NOTE: Pay attention the "INSERT INTO...." line ends with a ";"

7) After that select “Save” in the menu options and give a name to the trigger (I choose “insert_shadow”)8) Now, close the "SQLite Manager" and put the sms.db modified again in the iPhone (You´ll receive an Overwrite warning…select YES)
9) Reboot your iPhone.

This process was given by @Hugardo_ar in the comment section of this post. This will make a copy of every incoming or outgoing sms in the new Shadow Table. So you can always go to sms.db, open it with SQLite Manager and browse and search the "shadow" table to get the SMS content no matter what you did with the original copy of SMS in "message" table.

Happy Tweaking!

One Love, One Heart, One United!

I was pumped up from the very beginning of the day May 28,2011. It was Manchester United vs Barcelona at the Wembely , the long wait was just hours away. After a usual lazy Saturday afternoon, made up my mind to see The Hangover II, along with my peer, Niraj and Yangma. So headed my way out to QFX Jai Nepal for evening show. The movie plot and flow was ditto to its predecessor, but still enjoyed it, especially the last photo stream part :)
Then we went to Pulchowk to meet my Grand Old Party of Manchester United Supporter and Football Fanatic, at Chapro number 1.The environment of Pulchowk Campus was already splurged with football and the CL Final had gripped hard every one of em.I had a quick ride to my flat at Talchikhel, bought some R-OH on the way, boozed with friends and then returned to Pulchowk campus all set and ready for the match.
Barca did control the game with their copious ball possession. They scored first we leveled with "Wazzza" goal. But that wasn't enough, they outplayed us with all the short passes and possession, we couldn't get into our normal game, playing from the wing and passing into deep. We lost the game 1-3. I would like to congratulate all the Barca fans for their win, esp. Tsuman Bhai, the one true fan of Barca i've known.Congrats to all the fans who truly loved Barca as the only one team and not as option, who stayed up late night just to watch the Barca play in La Liga, like we did to see Man United play in Premier League. At the moment, Barca re near to invincible with perfect team set up and game play. Barca deserved the win, we couldn't perform our game and we were punished.
But, we did had a successful 10/11. With 7.5 mils signing of lil' pea "Hernandez", we won the premier league for 19th time. The history making in Premier league and the dream of SAF when he joined Manchester United 25 years ago, to knock Liverpool off their perch. We were the one to go to Wembely and play the CL final with another best team. We gave a match we fought till the very end of the road, till the last battle. We are proud and we will remember yesterday night forever cause we were supporting and cheering for our dear team. Win or Loss we always had belief and we always will!
All other United haters, your fickle capricious love for Barca, you just got that one flick happiness. All you did was jeer United. You were supporting Barca cause you're own fucking team couldn't make it to Wembely for the CL final.Face it, United were there, with their glorious crest on their chest, competing for the Silverware, playing in the final of world's best tournament. Whereas your team were nowhere. Even if we lost, we will have the memories and feelings with us for the rest of the life, cause WE CHEERED FOR OUR BELOVED, and you were there to jeer for the one you hate. Big fucking difference!
We stayed at the Bijendra's restro till all the workers slept and the bar went dry. There were post match discussion, and usual drinker's talk about love , life and politics. All of sudden i took em all far a ride from Pulchwok to Bhaisipati at the wee hour. As soon as we reached Bhaisipati, the light transcended the darkness, and then there appeared the aurora. Looked like it was just waiting for our arrival! The sky was drenched with dawn's aura, the hills of Dakshinkali and Champadevi were painted blue, and the deep distant retro "newar gaun" was hidden in the mist. The scene was simple awe ! I savored every bit of that beatific moment of the mother nature's live art! Was thankful for this beautiful life, and remembered the awesomest night i had had!
See you all football lovers at the next season. One Love, One Heart, One United! Man United! We'll be back!
Here's to the beautiful game in this living planet, Football, to all the haters lovers newbie pundit, the one with lots of fav team and the one with single heart! Cheers!

Dear MoFA and Nepal Government!

I was a day late when i went to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) for my Machine Readable Passport (M.R.P), because overnight MoFA had appended a new node in its lists of rules, and so now i had to get some signature and official stamp from District Administration to authenticate that i did indeed acquired my citizenship from Jhapa(my hometown). Well, the original citizenship wasn't of enough proof of element for the MoFA to believe. I returned, disappointed and furious over the out of blue rule and irrational new MoFA rule. Now, i had to schedule a visit to Jhapa, not to get my passport but just to get the official stamp.
Today, i went to Central Passport Department,MoFA, with all the necessary credentials, and with high hope of getting through, in submitting my request form, to get a Nepali Passport. But, i did had some doubt, that i might not be successful this time too with the public rambling and gossiping. The queue for the submission of form was a mass of people, all swerved and jam packed to form a structure of giant serpent. The office was supposed to be open at 9:30 but was 45 minutes late, and after waiting for 4 hours,i got my turn, just to know that my Photo was not according to the criteria. Damn! I rushed outside of office hastily, followed a broker to his photo studio and paid 175 for 8 pieces of PP photo. On my way back the door to the office was closed, and there was another huge line of those who had been returned citing failure in meeting different criteria on filling up the form. Waiting for another 45 minutes, after the office resumed from lunch break, i finally submitted my form, just to get it rejected second time in a day. This time the form wasn't of the right aspect ratio and size. WTF! If only they would have told it earlier, i would have change it together with the photograph, rather than waiting with reckless mind and abominating the late workers of MoFA. After much hustling, i was finally able to make my form accepted and got a date of 8th of Baisakh,2068. Literally, i felt like winning a war, like i just solved a baffling numerical.
*************************************
And now i wanna wax lyrical about our dear MoFA and its MRP procedure based on my experience. Seriously you guys have lots of bugs on your work flow chart. It's totally unplanned and mess like a spaghetti structure, so that we the people suffer from the processing. MoFA being a governmental office, should have analyzed and planned the best for the smooth and untangled service to the people.MRP distribution to all the people of nation from a singular source is utter nuisance. After much abortive effort, abeyance, political artifice and a national drama government finalizes the MRP deal, and all they can do is get a single machine, or the number we the people are not aware of, but certainly, number so less that they cannot afford it to send to other districts. Or is it the technical manpower to operate it ? If it is so, why wouldn't they calculate it before. They had lots of futile period, at least during that time span, they could do some simple secondary mathematics to calculate the number and give the training or hire the people.
If the number of MRP Machine is low, at least they can get 4 more machines for other developmental region. At least that would make people from Darchula or Olangchunggola not to come to Kathmandu, to get the work done that could be done with 10 times less spending. Our government surely doesn't have enough principal amount to get 4 more MRP Machine, to generate electricity, to make suspension bridge on remote place, but they do have some special reserve to give incentives and bonuses for workers who give most pathetic services to people, for the lavish incoming and outgoing party of 3 prime minister in 3 years, to all those legislative members who goes on abroad visit to study federalism, from England to Ethopia, and yes their extra wage for parliamentary meeting with no concrete agenda. Speaking bluntly, you can ask help or more bluntly cry a river, to China and India to make yourself PM, but you cant on national matters that would be beneficial to people. If you have any ounce of feeling left, to serve the nation, ask some dough to get some more MRP's or to train some more of your obtuse civil servants on using MRP. You dont feel shame on sending your MoFA official to get trained on diplomacy from another nation. Why shame on asking some dough and technical training. On this note, how ludicrous is it for a nation's MoFA to get training on DIPLOMACY from its neighbor .
What's with the authentication of Citizenship. Cannot different governmental ministries work along for the sake of people's welfare. Why wouldn't MoFA think it's need before hand, and at least collect the citizenship data record and save it centrally for the reference ? Does government enjoy annoying people ? When will the KOICA funded Data center come into any use, if we cannot get Citizenship data on central grid server ? And they talk big about National ID and eGovernance. For tech shake , eGovernance doesn't mean having unaligned and poorly designed websites online and giving PDF's of load shedding and form to download.

All that said blatantly, some of my suggestion would be:

If our dear MoFA is all broke, cannot accumulate money from any of its source and cant get any monetarily support from any donor, why not accepting form from all the District Administration, center collecting it weekly or fortnightly, and deliver it accordingly. This would really save lot of time and money for the people. They would submit the form and get passport on their respective district head quarters. After all it takes MoFA at least a month to serve the passport even when its submitted in KTM. They would wait 15-30 days more if they can get it on their own home district.
If that too is not possible, please shift from you current warm and cozy place. Get a goliath auditorium with ample space. Make several booth over there so that there are many server to serve the people according to the request. This will certainly make current processing less tedious and much ease. Get at least three help desk to check the form correctly before getting in line so that one doesn't have to return disappointingly after queuing for so long. If the resource isn't there for the aforementioned work, hire some temporary workers. After all our nation do have lots of fresh and old graduates who are unemployed and ready to work to put something on the CV. Thanks! to the government, again for that scenario.
Well, we would really love to see our hard earned tax money go into something atleast creative that would make us feel, we were well served. Not just on so called VVIP's security and their "Sawaris" which backfires back to us, very badly!

Night at Office

The inception of idea came out of Tsuman bhai, one hell of staunch supporter of Albiceleste and Lionell Messi. The idea was in embryonic stage, and then the NTC internet starts acting total lazy bum during the day time. I became skeptical about any good progress in the speed, as there had been problem with it since couple of days. But, the speed increased gradually towards the evening, and then I finally decided to join Suman and Suraj bhai, for a stay at office for tonight, to watch Barcelona vs Arsenal :)
After finishing official work hours, stayed late in the office just flipping around internet. Later around half past seven, took a walk to Sundhara from Kalikasthan. Tried to take some photos on my way, only to find out that, can't make my iPhone4 to take some good shot for night photography :( . After voraciously devouring Thakali Khana Set, took walk back to Office. It was great to walk along the streets lights and cross the over head bridge after a long time. I hadn't done that since i don't know when, may be about 2 years ? Kathmandu was glowing with red and yellow traffic lights, all of them in haste.May be returning home or may be searching for home away from home.
Back at office, the download of "Sudden Impact" was complete. I wanted to watch this movie for two reason, AFI Top 100 movie quotes "Go Ahead...Make my Day" and of course, Clint Eastwood. The movie seemed to be some old school Hollywood flick ( sorry, growing up in Nepal with limitation to Doordarshan :P ).I know in fact, it's the reverse that's true. The story was about, bad ass yet persistently dutiful cop,a rape victim,a mysterious murder series, and vengeance the cause. Sounds like 90's Bollywood masala , don't it ? But i did enjoy the movie, Clint Eastwood act itself and some nifty punch lines.
Well, it's about 1:00 AM in my PC clock. I have been in front my work PC, in this same working environment, in my same ergonomic chair, my Dell Screen tilted in same orientation from 9:00 AM yesterday morning. All of this , to get to watch some beautiful game ahead, and yes courtesy of Nepal Electrical Authority, the only disciplined institution of our entropic nation. Never fails to cut the power and give the power in the just scheduled time.
So i don't want any less then 1 or 2 awesome magical goal from the wonder boy Messi if Barcelona is to win. Or else, i would be happy with Arsenal winning too. This will make their upcoming schedule as tight as Man United :) . Can't help ignoring the fact that, they're neck to neck with us in the league. Said that, since both the team are famous for their beautiful game( which i just can't agree in case of Arsenal (-; ), i want my stay at my office, just to watch these clash of humongous team to be one hell of thrilling an enticing.Let it be Extra time, Penalty, many goals, awesome goals.
All for the shake of Football. Who says football is not a religion ? I say it's bigger than religion!
Now i'm off to watch , Suman bhai already got a live streaming channel and he's been beckoning me.

P.S: gonna experience sleeping in the couch too later.
------------------------
Edit1: What a wonderful goal by Messi. Can anyone do that ? Flick the ball dodge the keeper and hit the net. Looks like playing #FIFA11. That one moment was worth waking up all night. Adios Arsenal. Though , the second yellow was kinda lame decision, who gives a rat ass for Dobbin Van Horsie :) ! You guys weren't never in the game.
Good night!

Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone4 on iOS 4.2.1

I Jailbroke my iPhone 4 yesterday smoothly with charm, without any set back :). I went through many blogs and posts before doing this. Now i've done it, hope this post will help other newbies to Jailbreak theirs.

Firstly, get all the necessary files sorted out in one folder. It includes:

iOS file: iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

Latest Tiny Umbrella tinyumbrella-4.21.07

Greenpois0n final for MAC or Windows ( For Windows: greenpois0n )

RedSn0w for MAC or Windows (For Windows: redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc8

Once you have all of the above files sorted fasten your seat belt and get ready to Jailbreak :D

If you need the iPhone to be unlocked to use(because you don't have/use official SIM carrier), make sure you have base band 01.59.00. (Settings->General->About->ModernFirmware). This is a must. You cannot unlock you iPhone with ultrasn0w for now if you have updated baseband other than 01.59.00. Have patience and wait for a while , while the dev team releases the new version of ultrasn0w.

Now, once you got it figured out, lets update to iOS 4.2.1 preserving your current baseband 01.59.00.For this:

Backup your iPhone so that you don't loose your old data

Run Tinyumbrella and close down the iTunes.

Save the SHSH blobs for future downgrade if something goes wrong.

Start the TSS Server

Connect your iPhone.

Double check that the TSS Server is running well.

You can also check you hosts file(\\system32\\dreivers\\etc\\hosts) to see whether: gs.apple.com is directed to Saurik server or not.

Once it is all fine, open iTunes and click (Shift+restore for Windows) and browse the .ipsw file.

Wait for some minutes until the iTunes finishes restoring. After that you will be prompted with 1013 error.Click OK and then exit iTunes.( You will see a Connect to iTunes picture in the iPhone screen)

At this point, you have successfully upgraded your firmware preserving your older baseband. Now you need to jailbreak your iPhone.

Now you need to enter the DFU Mode for this:

Press both the Power and Home button until the screen goes black.

The moment screen goes black, wait for about 2 seconds(approx.) and then release the power button, but keep pressing the home button.

You will see a black screen if everything goes well. This means you entered the DFU mode. Or else you will go back to "Connect to iTunes Picture".

This is a little tricky so you might need to give it a try for more than few times(as for my case)

Once you've entered the DFU mode, run Greenpois0n,and then hit "Jailbreak".

It will take a while. You will see a cmd shell screen in the iphone screen , saying "greenpois0n intialized".

After the jailbreak is done, your iPhone restarts with a greenpois0n icon at startup. You will end up with "Emergency Call" screen in different language. :)

That's it. You have successfully Jailbroken you iPhone4. Now you need to activate the iPhone. For this:

Switch off your iPhone and run redsnow.

Follow the steps, and then check " Install Cydia" only. And nothing more.

Click next and hit the Jailbreak now.

redsn0w will go through jailbreak steps but it will not alter your greenpois0n jailbreak but just adds Cydia on your iPhone and Hacktivate/Activate your iphone.

Once it is complete, your iPhone restarts and you will be able see the Springboard in your iPhone with Cydia installed.(You can remove the Loader app that was installed by greenpois0n. Just open loader and click "Remove Loader")

Congrats! You have completely jailbroken and activated your iPhone. Now to unlock your iPhone with ultrasn0w.

Go to Cydia->Manage->Sources

Press Edit-> and then add-> "repo666.ultrasnow.com" and click Add Source.

Cydia will download the package. Once it is completed go to the package and Install "ultrasn0w"

That's it, when it is completed, your iPhone will start searching for network regardless of any kind of SIM. Enjoy the limitless boundaries of your iPhone.

**************************************

I hope this will help people who doesn't live in the States or Europe or any other official iPhone seller nation but want to use it. Like my country Nepal. It's useless to pay 2-3 K for some other person to Jailbreak and unlock your iPhone when the "Chronic Dev"/ "iPhone Dev" releases it for free to the community. If you want to pay, let the donation go to them the real brain rather than other third person who monetize it.

Cheers!

iPhone 4 : Invalid Sim Falilure for the Jail Broken ones!

After getting my hands on iPhone 4, all i have been doing for two days is researching on Jailbreak and Unlock. All the JB apps, Limera1n, ultrasnow, tinyumbrela.
Like others JB iPhone owners i am having two problems:
1. Battery Drainage : The battery gets fucked up real fast even without using the phone, but connected to WiFi.
2. Invalid Sim error: Whenever i try to restart the iPhone, i get invalid SIM failure.

I still haven't found out any good tips to cure the battery drainage problem. Well some say it's a jailbreak issue and will be fixed sooner, so hold on and be patience.
Out of blue, i think i have found the cure for the invalid SIM error, with brute Hit and Trial one. It has worked for me, hope it will for you lads too.

Before switching off the iPhone make sure you disable the following things:-

1. Turn off the WiFi in Settings.

2. Turn off the mobile data (Setting->General->Network)

3. Disable the 3G ( Setting->General->Network)

Switch off the Phone, and then Power on back.

Hopefully, you might not get the SIM Invalid Failure message ;-)

Try it out, and do write the comment if it worked for you or not.

Happy Jailbreaking!

I Miss You!

I Miss You !
The lightening at distant horizon catches me now and then,
I was in no mood of taking that lecture too, but i had the call from the Dipen daju himself asking me about the Class, since me being the so called Class Representative(C.R) :-P. So i hastily rushed to the Classroom. The "Operating System" class was pretty exciting, learning about Interrupts,Entry to Critical Region , Processes. Also a warm welcome by D.C Sir for my 2nd class, out 7. ;-).

Out of many absentee, Ruchin Sing was one. But after the class was over, i could see him with a box full of The Red Ribbon, which is the global symbol for solidarity with HIV-positive people and those living with AIDS. He was just busy distributing the Ribbon to others, he even put the one on the D.C Sir's Sweater, and i was reminded it's December 1,the World AIDS day.He had told me about his idea of distributing the Red Ribbon before a week. He wanted to celebrate the World AIDS day in our Pulchwok Campus too and he did it. Bravo Mate. The slogan was , remember your ABC's, where " A " stands for, abstinence, " B " for "Be Faithful " and "C" for " Condom ". We had this slogan in our MSN Live Messenger Display name and Facebook status for 4 days before today and will be keeping it for few more days. Ruchin Singh the hero, the activists.
There's lot of controversies on the hypothesis of the Origin of AIDS, no single hypothesis has been unanimously accepted, but out of them Cameroon Chimpanzee Hypothesis is one of the most convincing. It is assumed that the HIV-1 most likely originated in wild chimpanzee in the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon. This might have transferred to the Human Race during late 19th or early 20th century.Primatologist Jim Moore suggests that colonial practices may have created conditions conducive to the spread of the virus. The hardships of forced labor could have suppressed the immune system of the initial hunter, allowing the virus to infect and take hold in a new host. The colonization of Africa brought close contact of many people of different parts of world together and thus the spreading of Virus world wide. Whatever may be the reason, fighting with it has been really baffling and even billions of dollar injection, for the research and development of its cure, hasn't been quite fruitful yet.

In 2007, an estimated 33.2 million people lived with the disease worldwide, and it killed an estimated 2.1 million people, including 330,000 children. The figure itself shows the lethality and abundance of the virus. Also, the reason to celebrate World AIDS day and spread the knowledge and awareness about AIDS. If we can create an aware and educated society, state , country and world about AIDS,then we can cease the spreading of the Virus to other new host, thus saving beautiful life.

If everything goes right,we decided about organizing a "Awareness Talk Program" on the Library hall of our Campus, on coming Friday, to support the campaign of fighting AIDS and put some effort on raising awareness.

-------------------------------------------------------
Causes of AIDS:
SEXUAL TRANSMISSION(Sexual Contact with Infected Person)
EXPOSURE TO BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS (Blood Transmission and Sharing of Syringe of Infected Person)
PERINATAL TRANSMISSION ( From infected Mother to the Child)

MISCONCEPTION:
There has been many misconception regarding the AIDS. Some of them are,AIDS can spread through casual contact, kissing, sharing beds or utensils, the sexual intercourse with a virgin will cure AIDS, and that HIV can infect only homosexual men and drug users.

To prevent yourself, Remember you ABC's.
----------------------------------------------------

The latter day was not so good, as the Computer Basket ball team lost to Electronics on the ongoing Inter Department Basketball tournament organised by ANNFSU,Primary committee,Pulchwok Campus.

Anywayyyy, this was the essence of World AIDS Day,2008, for me.

Take the Lead. One cannot say it now.
The US Congressman has rejected the Bailout worth 700 billion USD proposed by the President George W. Bush, eventhoug both Democrats and the Republicans tried to put their head together to pass the bill. This has further led to the Deadlock in resolving the economy crisis.
``Americans are angry, and so are my colleagues,'' said a Republican Leader ``They don't want to have to vote for a bill like this.'' After the 85 billion rescue of AIG's ,the government tried to bail out all the other banks and companys which was on the verge of collapsing or being Bankrupt, but President Bush didnt had enough support this time, not even from the congressman of his Home State and his own Party. :-P
The First live debate between the presidential candidate wasn't vivid too,as both of them couldn't suggest the wayout.Senator Obama went on blaming 8 years of Bush administration for the jeopardy in economy now, whereas Senator McCain defended president Bush. But, both of them said they would fight out the Crisis and resolve it if nominated as the President ;-). Darn the indignation :D
Whatever may be the reason for the Crash, the economist are busy brainstorming to find the way out to solve the crisis.Everyone's busy to save the US from drowning ASAP.Some say it as the start of New Era,the Rise of Asia as the Next Super Economy(H.K), whereas some quote, This is just another * new * crashdown which will be solved and will become History, just like 1929.President Bush claims it to be another test of the American Strength.
Soon the Bail was rejected, it also affected the world market.Markets in Asia and Europe was down and the investors were skeptikal about their investment. People dont know what to do with their money. The Capitalist principle has failed again, and the President Bush move mimicks the socialism. The socialism to bail out some 14-15 CEO's and the WallStreet, which was doomed by the catpitalism. The inflation in the world is followed by the WallStreet Devastation. This doesnt beckon good economic future of World .As the citizen of LDC's i would just wish the World Economy to be stable and the inflation to go down, so that we wouldnt be the victim of economic warfare of the First World Nation. All i can do is,
---Let my clothes to dry naturally, use sunenergy---

Life Goes On...

Life Goes on,one of the most realistic quote. We pass through different phases of life, different Ups and Downs, meet different people, make different Friends.Someone said, "we meet up to depart".YUP,ultimately,we split up,choose our color of life and take different paths.Life Goes On...one cannot cling to reminisces and kill the time.

Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

Circle of Friends keep on changing, some friends are Easy Come Easy Go, whereas some make a special place in the heart, and are hard to forget.Likely, Friends of early teen(13),the Homeys, with whom we grew up together, they are always special and very hard to forget.
Don't know why,but I'm missing those days of Teen today.I miss those good old days and good old friends. The days when we were carefree, young hot blood, trying to act smart yet the dumbest arse, :P.Loitering around with empty mind.Peregrinate to the countryside, hunt for the Rooster.Getting home late and yet always had a fresh reason for excuse.Riding Bicycle all the way long, until the thighs aches,to some unknown place.Going to the woods and have a wee picnic every time, get lost in it.Go fishing and look like you're from one of those fisherman clan, look shabby and scornful, with those Long Bamboo sticks, muddy outfit and pocket full of Earth Worms and Fish.

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

The Rivers(Mechi,Hadiya,Kankai,Deoniya) and those Dirty Ponds(Lingey,Factory), we'd die to swim and always return loosing some thingy, mostly slippers :(. They won out of blue, making all the speculation of Political Pundits plain wrong, and now they are on the verge of forming a government under their leadership. They should do it with due respect to the People’s Verdict. They dont even have simple majority, beside this keeping the Turmoil condition of nation at pinnacle,a government formed on consensus would be perfect for making new constitution and driving country towards political stability.

The results of CA election clearly shows that most of the People of Nepal are Leftist or support Left Ideology. In recent days, keeping this fact, the two largest left party CPN UML and Maoist were seen close together,on the give and take condition that,UML would be given the post of President in return for the support to the governemnt of Maoist. If we just leave behind what is our political belief or whom we voted for, this seems to be good in a way because the government would be Stabe, and the main task of billing the constitution would be swift.Though, this doesnt happen.UML was deserted by Maoist after they use them to pass the Bill of * No presence of Opposition memeber in the Security Council. * and now the politcal scenorio takes a turn of 360.

The game of luring and deserting leads to the formation of new clan, i.e,NC,UML,MJF on one side of Bank and Maoist on the other side. What a shame for us to go on election for the post of President and Vice-President and moreover what a ignominy for the post of President, that there is no Result.

This is just the start of what we call Indian(UP-Bihar) Politics and the timing is synchronous too. The UPA coalition is fighting hard to save the Manmohan Singh government and the Radical Religious party BJP seems to succeed in their Intentions to make it fall. Here in Nepal, respectable Political Leader GPK claims that, the about to be formed Maoist Government wont even stand a month, and if he says so it might be :P. Maoist are working hard for the Majority, but the other two main parties the NC and UML,since been betrayed by Maoist, and seeking their political return to Power, wont leave any of their tactics and weapons to make the government fall. And we all know if this things goes on,what will be the political situation.

Amidst of all these politcal war, their lies a task of writing the new constitution, giving the political stability and economic boost. The petroleum crisis is, as it is as it was before, and even worsening day by day.We cant find a public transport and even if we get its all jampacked. The Youth are fleeing and the remaining ones sees no future.Makes me wonder where is our nation heading?Whether we love it or hate it,Politics is the main key to the solutions of all problems. So we cant see a developing nation untill the government of the Nation is Stabilized.

Even in the Darkest and Dreadful night we must not loose our hope to see the bonnie Dawn.Lets hope the Political Parties and the Leaders will find a common ground for consensus. Let our Leaders Awake.

Champions League Finals, 07/08

There's only one United....Man. United !!!
Glory Glory Man. United !!!

The Champions League fever had gripped us tightly right after the second match between Chelsea and ManU in the BPL o7/08. Chelsea Won in Stamford Bridge, 2-1.After 2 weeks Man United were Crowned champions of England,07/08.But we were waiting for another epic encounter restlessly...The Champions League Final...Two of the best English club Man United and Chelsea, fighting for the European glory.
We came up with the plan of organizing the MatchView in the Projector, right on the street of Pulchwok Campus. We made lotttery ticket for the 90 minutes score prediction. The winner gets the Jerssey of his/her fav. Club. The tickets sold out like a hot cake, never knew there were so many of football fans in the I.O.E.
Finaly, comes the 21st of may '08, the much awaited day of all the football lovers,
esp. the Red Devils and Blues fans.We started to work out for the Projectors at early morn
and finally managed it at around 14:00 hrs,Thanks to the Water Resources Department. One of the important task was completed. The Sound system and other accessories were already
managed the day before.Another problem was about the Screen. After hustling for some time,we found it too,Thanks to the Civil Department.
Now we were all ready, the environment of Pulchwok Campus was already heated with the Discussion and predictions of the match.Liverpool and the Arsenal fans were too on the either of the boats, giving their views. ;-).The debate was heating up intensly everytime and we too had our jobs done and were ready to roll. :p
We started the show at 23:00 hrs and how on earth, the amps didn't work.We had to struggle pretty hard to find out what was the prob, lastly, boom and the magic is done.Santosh(coincidently Electrical Engineering) does it and he too doesnt know how :-D. Who cares as long as we get the show running flawlessly.
The Environment was damn lively, with all the chants and anthem of Man United and Chelsea hailing in the Air.The match starts and the chant's still alive. There was "Dohori" going on between the both fans.Untill, the 26 minutes.Man Utd took the lead, and it was Ronaldo who got the goal,in the cross of Wes Brown. What more now,all the ManU fans, count me too :-),went out wild, jumping in and out, acting not less than a freak, with much louder voice the anthems were chanted. The Chelsea fans were just antonym of that.

The game was totally in the contorl of ManUnited with the ball possession 65% to 35 %.Unless on the 45 mins,Van der Sar does a mistakes, slips, and gets punished by the Frank Lampard. Man United 1-1 Chelsea, the level equals just before the Half Time. The Chelsea fans on fire, its their time for celebration, whilst the ManU fans remains low, commenting on the Van mistake and the slippery ground.
The second half starts;the environment is silent than before, but the crowd is more lively with more anticipations and predictions. The second half was more on Chelsea side, with Drogba nearly finishing on 77 mins, thanks to the woodwork, there was no change in the score. The 90 mins normal game was wind up and the score was 1-1 draw with game cruising to extra time.In the mean time, the lottery for the Winner of Prediction was conducted.Very few had made the prediction 1-1.
Chandra Pun does the announcement and 2 of the lucky winner(forgot the name) wins the Jerssey.

The extra time was nailbiting one, giggs had almost taken the lead once for for ManU,if only Terry had let him do so.Terry saves the shot with his head out of blue, damn, thats why he's one of the best and high paid defender :p.
Since no result after 120 minutes of play, the game goes to penalty shoot out. There was cold blood runing thru me with nervousness taking over me.The retrospective slide view of the images of the penalty shootout between Argentina and Germany in FIFA World Cup 06 comes to mind.I had supported argentina and it had lost then.
Tevez takes the first penalty, and hits the ball home.Relief.
Ballack takes the shot from Chelsea,Scres.Boooo...
Carrick takes the Shot,Scores.Relief.
Belleti Takes the Shot,Scores,Boooo...
C.Ronaldo takes the shot,Saved. Nervous Breakdown.. :-(
I just couldnt belive it,numb and speechless.Couldnt think what to do.Lojang kick the screen and the mathview was interrupted for a while.I had no more of courage to see the match further, with the defeat of Argentina haunting over me.I take a quite escape and walk to the Hostel. Furiousness and Angerness fuming from my body,i could break anyone face that moment :@.I lay at my bed thinking of C.Ronaldo role to the Man United.Dissappointed and Low.
Man U...Man U...Man U....i could hear the chants of Red Devils in the cold night again.I was astonished, and happy with a photons of hope popping.I ran to the crowd and asked who won,to my great pleasure i heard,"Manchester...",damn...It was Man U who won the Finals.Terry had missed the shot and our talismanic keeper Van De Sar had saved the shot of Anelka.Man...ManU had wont he Champions league Final,Double for ManU.Moscow was vicorious by Red again,Fergie's Red Army had reign over the blues.I just couldnt belive and i had nervous breakdown again, ;-)
All the chelsea fan were stunned, most of them had already left. The chants of Man United, the voices of Victory, the smile of joy flooded the cold spring nights.Greetings of Victory was shared.
The happiness was much larger than ocean, much wider than the sky, that was the time of my life, one of the moment to be treasured, moment of happiness i would carry along with me forever, till the grave......
p.s:-Thanks Chelsea F.C,for such a wonderfull game. You're are always a tough opponment to beat. One of the best Rivals.Better luck next time.

O' Seasons

"Calm" before the Storm,” Beauty” After the Rain,
Om was just a waste of Time and Dough for me :@.

The movie has clearly showed the Mental Academic Problem we are facing(esp.South Asia) because of the Orthodox Thinking. The stereotypical belief feed to the Child that the only way of achieving success in life is Attaining Highest Percentage in their study. This is something i always debate upon.
Its not that studying and scoring good percentage is bad. That's Good and that's not the problem. The Problem is Giving it the all importance in the world. All Child don't have same Intelligence, added some child don't have it at all. They cant Get Good Grade even if they try above the Saturation. That doesn't mean they should be Odd Man out.Similar problem is faced by Ishaan, main character of the Film, who's got Dyslexia.By God,a child who's bad at study but good at Art(Painting,Sports or any other field) ain't given respect or love he deserves.
In our country too, right from the options of choosing Optional Math in Grade 9 it arises. They force their Child to Choose that.If he gets First Div. in SLC,s/he has to join Science Stream. If s/he foes good at Higher Secondary s/he has to go for Medical(first) or Engineering(second) choice. They don't even ask their interest. Are they interested in Sociology or Economics?Do they wanna get lost in the Wormhole of Physics or wanna get lost in the Wilderness of Nature(biology). They just go on pressuring their Child to study what they want regardless of their Children's Interest.Neglecting their Born Talent.Always complaining Of Not being Like someone else.Look at Him;Look at Her.Why can't you be like Like Him,Why can you Do Like Her.Gosh!!!Give some freedom of choice.
Ishaan was born for Painting always lost in his own world of Fantasy and splashing it in Paper with colors. But his Parents were rather worried about his Study and neglected his talents, couldn't even recognize it and nearly Killed it.

We have heard news of Students committing So, retrieving the useful information from the web is really a daunting task. How to obtain the required information from those millions of pages? Of course internet search engine site like google.com, yahoo.com, live.com etc are one and only option. These are special sites on the Web that are designed to help people find information stored on other sites. At the first glance it seems like a magic .These site understand what we intended to search. Really amazing, Search engine can be Crawler-Based Search Engines and Human-powered directories. Crawler-based search engines create their listings automatically. It automatically tracks any changes on the web pages where as a human-powered directory depends on humans for its listings. So, in the rapidly growing web, Crawler-Based Search Engine is better.

Crawler-based search engines have three major steps.

a) Crawling

b) Indexing

c) Searching

Crawling:

Web crawlers are programs that locate and gather information on the web. They recursively follow hyperlinks present in known document to find other document. The usual starting points are lists of heavily used servers and very popular pages. In this way, the spider system quickly begins to travel, spreading out across the most widely used portions of the Web. The spider visits to the site on a regular basis, such as every month or two, to look for changes.

Indexing:

An index helps to find the information as quickly as possible. The index is also known as catalog. If a web page changes, then index is updated with new information. Indexing basically consists of two steps:

a) Parsing

b) Hashing

a. Parsing:

Parser extracts the link for further crawling. It also removes tag, JavaScript, comments etc. from the web pages and convert the html document to plain text. For the automated analysis of the text Regular expressions are extensively used. Parser which is designed to run on the entire Web must handle a huge array of possible errors.

b. Hashing:

After each document is parsed, it is encoded into a number. For hashing, a formula known as hashing function is applied to attach a numerical value to a word. So, every word is converted into a wordID by using hash function. Inverted index is used to maintain the relationship between WordID and DocID which helps to quickly find the document containing the given word.

Searching:

All the documents matching the index are not equally relevant. Among the millions of documents only the most relevant documents have to be listed. In the simplest case, a search engine could just store the word and the URL where it was found. In reality, this would make for an engine of limited use, since there would be no way of telling whether the word was used in an important or a trivial way on the page, whether the word was used once or many times or whether the page contained links to other pages containing the word. So, to provide quality search results efficiently, searching process has to complete following steps

· Parse the query.

· Convert words into wordIDs using hash function.

· Compute the rank of that document for the query.

· Sort the documents by rank.

· List only the top N numbers of documents.

For those who are interested in the implementation of the web crawler, check out any of the open source crawler listed below:

Heritrix is the Internet Archive's archival-quality crawler, designed for archiving periodic snapshots of a large portion of the Web (written in Java).

ht://Dig includes a Web crawler in its indexing engine.(Written in C)

Larbin a simple web Crawler(Written in c)

Nutch is a scalable crawler written in Java and released under an Apache License. Python was originally developed in the early '90s by Guido van Rossum. His original goal was to develop a language that stresses in readability, simplicity and elegance. Python runs on all major hardware platforms and operating systems, so it doesn't constrain your platform choices.

Python offers high productivity for all phases of the software life cycle: analysis, design, prototyping, coding, testing, debugging, tuning, documentation, deployment, and, of course, maintenance. Python is easy to learn, so it is quite suitable to anyone new to programming, yet at the same time it is powerful enough for the sophisticated expert. There are many sophisticated libraries available which make the programming in python even more equipped. The combination of simplicity, power and portability, along with its open-source nature, has made Python extremely popular.

Who uses python?

Python is used extensively for system administration tasks (it is, for example, a vital component of several Linux distributions). It is also used to teach programming to beginners. Here is list of some organization that uses python

Google has used it to implement many components of its Web crawler and search engine. The most interesting thing is that even the originator of Python, Guido van Rossum, is a Google employee.

NASA uses Python for several of its software systems, and has adopted it as the standard scripting language for its Integrated Planning System.

Industrial Light & Magic, Creator of star wars, uses Python in its production of special effects for large-budget feature films.

Yahoo! uses it (among other things) to manage its discussion groups and Yahoo maps.

Video sharing site Youtube uses it.

Disney uses Python for its animation production applications. It has developed a 3D engine “Panda3d” for the development of interactive graphics. Panda3d is developed as the joint venture of Disney and Carnegie Mellon university(CMU)

To learn more about the organization using python, visit the page http://wiki.python.org/moin/OrganizationsUsingPython

Advantage of python

Python is open source software so, it has huge open source community supporting it.

Python is available on an incredibly wide range of hardware and software platforms. This includes the usual suspects: Sun, Intel, IBM, Microsoft Windows variants, Macintosh OS variants and all *nix system.

Python programs require less time to develop than other high-level languages. Because of the elegance and simplicity of the language, Python programs tend to be 3-5 times shorter than their equivalent in Java, and 5-10 times shorter than C++ equivalents.

Since the python code is highly readable, programs are easier to maintain. So it reduces the maintenance cost which is crucial in software development.

Python has loosely typed language.

It exploits the full power of object oriented approach.

Python programs can be extended using C, C++, or Java. SWIG (Simple Wrapper and Interface Generator) helps to create the wrapper for python.

The popular web development framework for python such as Zope and Plone , Django, TurboGears make it popular for web development.

What the python users say?

Google

"Python has been an important part of Google since the beginning, and remains so as the system grows and evolves. Today dozens of Google engineers use Python, and we're looking for more people with skills in this language." said Peter Norvig, director of search quality at Google, Inc.

YouTube.com

"Python is fast enough for our site and allows us to produce maintainable features in record times, with a minimum of developers," said Cuong Do, Software Architect, YouTube.com.

Industrial Light & Magic

"Python plays a key role in our production pipeline. Without it a project the size of Star Wars: Episode II would have been very difficult to pull off. From crowd rendering to batch processing to compositing, Python binds all things together," said Tommy Burnette, Senior Technical Director, Industrial Light & Magic.

"Python is everywhere at ILM. It's used to extend the capabilities of our applications, as well as providing the glue between them. Every CG image we create has involved Python somewhere in the process," said Philip Peterson, Principal Engineer, Research & Development, Industrial Light & Magic.

Visit http://www.python.org/about/quotes/ to read more quotes from others.

Is Python Suitable for me?

Well, it depends on what you are seeking for. If you are completely new in the field of programming then it’s easy to learn and has good learning curve.

For the rapid development this is the best language. However, for the high end computational and simulation software which involves extremely complex graphics and mathematics, C and C++ may be the better choice. I think quotations from the web/software giants like Google, YouTube and Industrial Light & Magic speak more than thousands of my words. So, you can use to python if you want pleasing coding experience. And its true that python never bites.

NOTE: If you are sure that it’s the programming language for you then get the recent copy of the python from www.python.org . Eclipse IDE with Pydev plug-in will give great coding experience.

PHP:Object Oriented Programming

The term object-oriented involves thinking about processes as entities; in other words, the way we think about day-to-day objects. Object oriented programming is widespread today, and many universities teach object-oriented programming in beginning programming classes. Currently, Java and C++ are the most prevalent languages used for object-oriented programming. Object-oriented programming is not just a matter of using different syntax. It’s a different way of analyzing programming problems. In object-oriented programming, the elements of a program are objects. The objects represent the elements of the problem your program is meant to solve. Object-oriented programming developed new concepts and new terminology to represent those concepts.

But what about OOP in web scripts like PHP? Web scripts typically execute quickly and then go away. So you may think do we really need OOP concept in the web scripting? PHP wasn’t developed as an object oriented language. PHP began life as a simple set of scripts. However, PHP couldn’t be left untouched by this growing global phenomenon of OOP and its numerous advantages forced it to be reckoned by the language. Over the course of its life, PHP has evolved, more and more object-oriented features. First, you could define classes, but there were no constructors. Then, constructors appeared, but there were no destructors. Slowly but surely, as more people began to push the limits of PHP's syntax additional features were added to satisfy the demand. Object oriented programming became possible with PHP 4. With the introduction of PHP 5, the PHP developers have really beefed up the object-oriented features of PHP, resulting in both more speed and added features. Much of this improvement is invisible — changes introduced with the Zend 2 engine that powers PHP 5, that make scripts using objects run much faster and more efficiently than they did in PHP 4. PHP typically has a less thoroughgoing implementation of OOP than languages like c++, java, etc. There are still some concepts missing as function overloading and multiple inheritances.

OOP concept has really changed the way we used to program in PHP. Because of OOP, the code redundancy has been greatly reduced and using this technique we are able to make simple programs on the fly. This concept has helped to develop and maintain large scale projects easily. Features like inheritance, encapsulation and abstractions have helped speed up the development process of products using PHP. As of PHP5, it supports single inheritance, constructors and destructors, encapsulations, static functions, object interface, etc. So, OOP is certainly developing as an integral part of PHP programming.

Open Source and Free Software:Does it really matters?

One can get Ubuntu-Linux CD's Delivered for Free to their Home(Desired Place),so would u rather Buy a Windows Vista Version worth Hundreds of USD?
You can find any software with Open Source, let it be Operating System or Web Browser,Media Player or Programming Language.Almost every softaware need can be sought and bought for Free, providing User with the Software and it's Source code too, isn't that luring.Good for the Users and even Jackpot fot the Novice Programmers on the verge of being Pro.
I can see many of my Friends moving Towards Linux these days,it's becoming Trendy. But on the other horizon i can anticipate the Future of Software Community. One doesnt need to buy any software anymore, just get connected via.
