It Expires

Christmas is near and because it's a spending season, we were not able to invest more to extend all our 70 RRs by 240 days.

During the whole month of November, we were only able to extend (by 240 days) 31 of our 70 RRs. Five were extended for 30 more days while 5 more were extended for 15 more days. That's all what we've got during the whole period.

Excluding the 20 RRs that we first extended after investing $30, 11 RRs were extended for 240 days using our earning. That means:

11 RRs x $1.12 (cost of renewing each for 240 days) = $12.32

5 RRs x $0.19 (cost of renewing each for 30 days) = $0.95

5 RRs x $0.20 (cost of renewing each for 15 days) = $1

Estimated Total earning = $14.27

Note: This doesn't include renewal purchases.

We're kinda losing a little money here since we already invested $30. Other RRs that were not extended already expired and we were charged for that since under their ToS 3.4,

Letting a referral expire will have a small fee ranging from $0.02 to $0.05 depending on your current membership/pack.

From the $30 little investment, we will stop from here. We will now try accumulating funds first before purchasing and extending RRs again.

Yet, this doesn't mean that investing is not a good way of earning in NeoBux. Our mistake is really clear, we were too hasty in purchasing lots of RRs.

The real key here is management, discipline and patience. According to some successful NeoBux members, they started accumulating $5-10 first, rented 3-5 RRs, waited for some period of time until they accumulate earning of another $5-10 and then rented again. The whole cycle continues until they reached their desired number of RRs before purchasing golden membership.

The logic for this is for them to have a sufficient fund for renewals or extension if needed.

Well, we didn't do that. After investing and earning $2, we used to extend one RR immediately by 240 days and that was another MISTAKE.

But this is not the end of the road for us. Learn from our mistakes. This will serve as a guide. Of course, for us, this was a lesson learned.

Finally resolved

On our last blog post, we mentioned that we were having some technical problems. Every ad that we clicked on Neobux doesn't load though the website itself is working perfectly fine.

We contacted NeoBux' customer support and they told us to clear our cache and cookies, try changing our browser, and check our proxy, firewall and other security settings. These troubleshooting steps didn't help us at all.

We didn't blame NeoBux for this since yesterday we found out that the problem is on our end. We tried renting on nearby internet cafe and accessed our account from there, and tried clicking ads. It is working. Thus, we concluded the problem was not on the site.

Today, we scanned our computer and had a maintenance. During the process, we decided to visit www.filehippo.com where we want to download something. It was our surprised when we found out that it was not loading, too, like the NeoBux ads. This confirmed our conclusion that the problem is really on our connection.

And what solved our problem?

We just reboot our modem.

Yeah, it's just a simple solution that resolved a problem that we thought complicated at first.

So for those who will be having some internet problems like us, try to have a troubleshooting first.

Ads in NeoBux Not Loading

It's been a while since our last post.

Well, things are working smoothly since we rented additional 50 RRs (70 in total) last time. Our main balance has an average of $0.50 earning per day and we extend RRs one by one for additional 240 days to save more.

However, yesterday, we experienced a technical problem. For some reason, whenever we click on any ads on Neobux, an error message appears:

No data received

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.

Here are some suggestions:

Reload this webpage later.

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

Basically, it's not loading. We suspected that it was connection problem but the weird thing is we can still use the NeoBux site itself. We can log-in, check our RRs, do tasks and offers, rent additional refs, withdraw our main balance, etc. The only thing we cannot do is to click on the ads which is the most important part.

After clearing cache and cookies, using another browser, uninstall adalert (which maybe the cause of our problem, too) and even changing our DNS server, still we cannot click ads.

We only have 2 hours left before the ads refresh on server time and we will lose a day-worth of our own clicks and rented ref's click. *sad face

We just contacted their customer support via ticket. Below is a thread of our conversation:

After our first investment here in NeoBux, we noticed a faster progress than before. Today, we want to record another investment of $10 for a purchase of 50 Rented Referrals.

So, to summarize:

Please take note that we are only click ads in NeoBux to earn. Except for the things that we posted regarding tasks and offers that we did before (which we only did for blogging purposes only), no more tasks and offers had been done since. First Investment in Neobux

As we mentioned before, we are planning to take a new step forward. We will be investing in NeoBux as an experiment and to see some results.

We invested $20 ($10 is from our ClixSense withdrawal and $10 from our own pocket)

So what did we do to our investment? Simple. We extended 240 more days to each of our 20 rented referrals. This is to make use of the 32% maximum discount that is available in NeoBux. After doing so, we disabled our Auto-Pay. This is just an experiment but we are hoping that we will see good results.

Yup! You heard it right, as clear as the title says. We just received our first withdrawal in ClixSense.

If we will remember, we kept on saying that we will not withdraw our money yet for advertising purposes, right? But right now, we are receiving views from some free traffic exchange websites where we got some of our Direct Referrals in NeoBux. Investing in advertising is a big step forward. We are keeping everything in a slow manner and slow action at a time so that you, dear readers can catch up (hehehe). So there's nothing to rush on. LoL

So why did we withdraw our $10 in ClixSense? We will invest our earning in ClixSense to NeoBux so that we can make use of the discount of extending our rented referrals by 240 days. On our opinion, it's a great saving and a great opportunity to turn off our AutoPay. We hope that our earning rate will increase using this method. Though the fund is from ClixSense, technically, we are still investing in NeoBux. So we hate to admit it, we are not a free user anymore.

23 Days after Our First Rental

It's been 23 days since we had our first referral. It's been a while too since our last blog post. We want to apologize for the late update. We had been very busy this October but we still managed to be active in clicking ads daily without a miss.

Just a quick recap, our last blog post was about our experience in using NeoPoints in recycling our rent referrals. NeoPoint has been so useful to save funds due to the fact that we just earn it as a bonus in each ad we click.

To give you a quick view on our progress, below is a screenshot of our NeoBux status 23 days after having our first rent referrals (Oct. 1)

With a start of 10 Rented referrals, we managed to increase it to 20 with most of them having more than 20 days before expiration.
Our method?
AutoPay: Enabled
Auto-Renew: Disabled

Recycling RR who did not click for the last 5-7 days. Use NeoPoints in recycling 1 or 2 RR, use main balance if more than 2 RR to be recycled.

We want you to know that we haven't invested yet and we haven't extend RR for an additional duration. Though we haven't have our first withdrawal in NeoBux yet, having this progress is really great. We still have more than $1.2 in our Main Balance plus Pending NeoCoins. Regarding our NeoCoins, we just tried it out for fun and we chose to like a page using our Facebook account to earn 18 NeoCoins. There are so many offers that you can find in NeoBux and some of them are for free. Try it too to earn more.

From our point of view and using the method that we mentioned above, Renting Referrals is giving us progress but it is slow. Though not all RRs are clicking regularly, from our opinion, they are giving us a little profit.

If you want to rent referrals, too, do it at your own risk. Our blog is to provide you real-life situation in NeoBux and our progress doesn't mean that you will have the same earnings, too. It will still depend on your activeness and determination.

For us, we are having fun renting referrals because we think that managing them is like a game in Facebook such as Farmville, etc.

Recycling Rent Referrals Using NeoPoints

Learning that renting referrals is profitable based on click rates, we decided to rent 10 referrals. However, there is a catch. Will those rented referrals be active to click ads daily?

To manage our rent referrals well, we activated our AutoPay feature and set all "view" settings to "relative". If you are on your rent referrals' page, there are details there to view your referrals according to date of purchase, date of last click and date of next payment. You can change the setting from "real" date to "relative" to make counting of days easier.

As of October 6, 2012, we noticed that with rent referrals, it is easy too gain back the $2 we used from our main balance to purchase them. However, their clicking activities are quite alerting. A few of them are inactive while only two are active.

Recycling Rented Referrals using NeoPoints

Three of them had an average click of 0.800 so we decided to recycle them. If you will notice on the image above, we used our NeoPoints to recycle our rented referrals. Since NeoPoints are gained as a bonus to your click, it played an important role for such situation. It will make recycling rented referrals free which is a good thing for members especially to standard ones.

Google Deletes PTC Blogs

The Click Brothers have learned that Google are deleting PTC blogs that are hosted on blogger.

According to Google:
"As with many powerful tools, blogging services can be both used and abused. The ease of creating and updating webpages with Blogger has made it particularly prone to a form of behavior known as link spamming. Blogs engaged in this behavior are called spam blogs, and can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text, along with a large number of links, usually all pointing to a single site.

Spam blogs cause various problems, beyond simply wasting a few seconds of your time when you happen to come across one. They can clog up search engines, making it difficult to find real content on the subjects that interest you. They may scrape content from other sites on the web, using other people's writing to make it look as though they have useful information of their own. And if an automated system is creating spam posts at an extremely high rate, it can impact the speed and quality of the service for other, legitimate users."

We are not a spam blog but to be in compliance, we will minimize our links. We are planning to redesign our posting activities and aiming for a blog with useful contents about PTCs while building the click brotherhood.

We Just Proved It

For our yesterday's question about rented referral's click rate being $0.005 which is 5x more than our own click ($0.001), that is definitely TRUE.

Of course, what NeoBux' Help Page indicate is TRUE.

To prove this and to avoid confusion for newbies if this is really $0.0050 instead of $0.0005, we rented 10 referrals yesterday. Kindly see our blogpost for yesterday by clicking here

After renting 10 referrals, our main balance became $0.58**. Today, when we checked our account, it now shows $0.623 which means the additional increase came from our rented refs. Please see the screenshot below:

**Note: Screenshot for yesterday's balance shows $2.571 because we captured the image before renting and clicking ads. After the purchasing 10 Rented refs (RR) and clicking some ads, ending balance was $0.58

Three rented referrals clicked 4 ads. If we will be computing our earning from those 12 clicks considering autopay is enabled:

Computing for AutoPay deduction:
$0.20 cost of 1 rented ref per month (divided by) / 30 days a month = $0.0067 cost of a rented ref per day
$0.0067 cost of RR per day * 3 RRs who clicked for the day = $0.0201 cost of 3 RRs per day
$0.0201 cost of 3 RRs per day * 15% discount for using autopay = $0.003015 discount for using AutoPay
$0.0201 - $0.003015 = $0.017085 or $0.017 DISCOUNTED Cost of 3 RRs with AutoPay

Computing Earning from Rented refs' 12 clicks:
4 ads clicked by each RR * 3 RRs * $0.005 click rate of RR = $0.06 earning from RRs' 12 clicks
$0.06 - $0.017 Net Cost of RR with AutoPay = $0.043 NET Earning from RRs' 12 clicks

If you are confuse about the computation, please comment below and we will answer your questions.

Looking at the screenshot, our main balance increased by $0.43 which is the NET Earning from RR's 12 clicks and direct purchases increased by $0.017 which is the DISCOUNTED Cost of 3 RRs with AutoPay. Our status matches with the computation made above (you can call us "genius for computing" LOL).

With all the evidences above and as a result of experimenting, we, therefore, conclude that $0.005 being the click rate of RR (which is 5x of our own click and 10x than Direct refs click for a standard member) is TRUE.

Now, the next question is "Is renting referrals really profitable?"

Well, according to click rate, yes it is, but what if not all your rented referrals will click? If that's the case, we might end up having losses in renting refs. Please bare in mind that even if renting refs has profitable click rate, there is STILL a RISK in using them. If you prefer renting refs, please do at your own risk. We are not encouraging you to do nor we are not discouraging you not to rent. Though there are few people who succeeded and earned $1000+ through RRs, there are also some who failed.

Rent Referrals Click Rates in NeoBux

Reaching the our first $2, we got very excited about what will happen next. As an experiment, we didn't do any minijobs anymore and just focused ourselves in clicking ads and doing AdPrize. After how many days, we noticed that our earning's growth became much slower. Also, we were not as lucky as before because we didn't won any prize from AdPrize this past days. To show you our current NeoBux status as of today, please refer to the screenshot below:

What can we do to earn faster? Well, we know what you will say - have referrals. But there are two kinds of referrals in NeoBux, the direct referrals and rented referrals. We have 2 direct referrals as of now and both of them are inactive. We are now deciding to rent referrals for blogging purposes and for us show you if renting is profitable in NeoBux. We will just use our own main balance to rent and we will not invest.

Before we proceeded to renting, we reviewed the Help Page of Neobux to check how much we will earn from renting refs. Below is the screenshot of what we've found out.

We noticed that click rate of rented refs is five times of our own click and ten times larger than direct ref's clicks. Is this really true? We want to check out by contacting Neobux' Live Support but they are unavailable. We will confirm this once we contacted them. Meanwhile, we went ahead and rented 10 referrals which is $2 ($0.20 each). With this, now our balance is below $2 which cannot be withdrawn (wished that we just transferred this to PayPal so we can have our first proof of payment LoL).

Going to a sample computation:

$0.005 x 4 orange fixed ads a day x 1 rent ref x 30 days per month = $0.60
$0.60 monthly earning for 1 rent ref - $0.20 cost of 1 rent ref per month = $0.40

Note: this is just a sample computation based on the following circumstances

if rent ref's click is really $0.005 per click (5x more than our own click according to their help page)
if rent ref will click 4 ads a day
autopay and auto-renew is deactivated

Don't Waste your AdF.ly Click

Nowadays, earning online is very easy. Through AdF.ly, anyone can earn by just shrinking URLs and sharing it to others. You can earn more than $2 for every 1000 clicks generated. If you do not know what AdF.ly is, you can visit my previous post "Get Paid to Post Links" and learn how AdF.ly works.

Today, I want to teach you a basic step to validate all visitors. I assume that many people are doing this but for the sake of newbies out there, I hope you will enjoy my simple tutorial.

Whenever someone clicks on your shortened URL (AdF.ly link), basically, they will be redirected to a different website first before they will see the real destination page. That "other website" is an advertisement where AdF.ly earns their revenue. For the clicker or visitor to be redirected to the right destination page, he/she should wait for the 5-second countdown and click on "Skip Ad" first. This is a real hassle for every visitor, in which for most cases, they may click the "Back" button of their browser making their click to be invalid. Invalid click means no earning.

A basic step to prevent visitors/clickers to hit the "back" button is to change the advertisement format from Interstitial Advert to Framed Banner. (Just click the picture to enlarge.)

If an AdF.ly advertisement is in Framed Banner format, the visitor will not be redirected to a different page first but instead, he/she will be redirected to the correct destination page with a "Framed Banner" advertisement at the top of the page. This will prevent them from hitting the "back" button since they will see the correct page they want to visit immediately.

Please keep in mind that if you are using the "Framed-banner" format, you will have a lower click-rate. This means that it will take more than 1000 clicks to earn $3-5. Also, keep in mind that the 1000-click is only an average and doesn't mean that you will need an exact thousand clicks to earn. Check the publisher's rate by clicking here to learn more.

If you will check my last post about my ClixSense account, I mentioned that I just hit the minimum $6. No other changes happened except for the fact that I renewed my premium account through CSTPH registration. A sudden increase of $3 on my account? That was really surprising!

Though CSTPH's premium membership is higher than the classical ClixSense upgrade ($19 vs $17), I was able to reimburse $5 upon registration (refund of $3 plus $2 rebate from my referrer which I received through PayPal). Check out my screenshot below:

Reaching our First $6 in ClixSense

Having my old ClixSense account restored and cosidering that it is a premium account, it was very easy for us to reach the minimum payout of $6 (minimum payout for standard member is $8).

With guaranteed 4 ads worth $0.01, doubled chances for ClixGrid (50 chances for Premium while 25 chances for Standard), ClixSense tasks, increased referral commision for clicks, and the daily checklist bonus, we were able to hit the minimum payout a day after hitting our minimum payout in NeoBux. We also decided not to withdraw that $6 for advertising purposes that we will be doing in the near future.

Now we are improving, it's time to do some investing. Next target - ClixSense Philippines Team.

Day 21 - Just Reached $2 in NeoBux

It's just our third week as a standard member since we registered here in NeoBux. Even with 2 inactive referrals, we managed to hit our first minimum payout of $2.00. Thanks to Minijobs and AdPrize which played a big role in making us reach our first $2 easily.

NeoBux' Mini Jobs

NeoBux and ClixSense are competitors of each other in the World of PTC. During this 2012, they both have great changes that benefit both member and advertisers. One of them is doing task. Both NeoBux and ClixSense are now offering tasks (called Mini Jobs in NeoBux) to do from CrowdFlower so that members can earn more even without investing.

Today, we want to blog about our first time experience in doing tasks both in NeoBux and in ClixSense. We have a separate section where we will discuss about each site's technicalities and features regarding tasks.

ClixSense Tasks

So what happened? It's really amazing! Doing tasks daily, especially when you have spare time, makes you earn more. You just need to follow all the easy steps provided by CrowdFlower. Most tasks are searching data that you need to enter on their database.

Both sites have their own disclaimer that they have a time delay for receiving your credits in doing tasks but in my case, I received them in just a refresh of my browser.

My ClixSense Account Restored

Being with the PTC industry since 2007, of course, I already have a ClixSense account. I lost my ClixSense access after losing my motivation to click and after a few months, I already forgot my username and password.

Launching "The Click Brothers" means a great challenge for us since we are starting back to zero and we want to document all of our activities. We even managed to create a new NeoBux (which I have blogged already) as well as a brand new ClixSense account. We are so lucky today because I tried to put all the passwords and usernames I used to have and yes, I was able to restore my old Clixsense account.

I know it is a little bit unfair for our new Neobux account since the other one has already have a little earning. We want to start to blog about ClixSense with this account. But before we continue, I want to introduce it to you and how it started:

As you can see, I was a member since March 17, 2011 and upgraded to premium which is worth $14.95. I don't even remember why I upgraded to premium at that time! Foolish little me. LoL

Also, currently, I have 6 referrals in which only one is active. I may consider this account as a baby account since it only has one active referral plus the premium membership will expire this December. Regarding our newly created ClixSense account, we will close it since we don't need two accounts.

I know many PTC users are already earning big in ClixSense and we want to earn here, too. So brothers, happy Clix-earnings!

How to Kill Boredom in Clicking Ads

Click ads everyday is a very boring task. Admit it, yes it is. I found myself being bored too in clicking ads on PTC websites. Doing this everyday considering the number of websites you joined multiply by the number of ads they have daily multiply by the number of seconds they load for every view equals "Arrggghhh!!! I can't take this anymore!"

This is one of the greatest challenges that every PTC user experiences. Some PTC members quit because of this. Though this is quite a small problem, every member and PTC owners should take this seriously. So, how do we deal with this boredom in click ads?

According to Wikipedia, "Boredom is an emotional state experienced when an individual is left without anything in particular to do, and not interested in their surroundings". It is also “an unpleasant, transient affective state in which the individual feels a pervasive lack of interest in and difficulty concentrating on the current activity.”

Well, to tell you honestly, this is not an article to make you 100% awake and motivated. I'm not so sure if what I always do are applicable for all you. As for me, dealing with boredom requires a conditional mindset and outlook to keep you doing a repetitive task. To get it more simple, clicking ads doesn't require any critical thinking and awareness. Anyone can click ads using their subconscious mind. If you focus your mind on clicking ads and counting with the ad timer, eventually your mind will get tired thus the feeling of being bored comes in. Another situation is when you are too conscious with the click rates and the money you accumulated for a day. The latter one is more dangerous than the first since it can affect your interest on the whole PTC system itself rather than being bored just by clicking ads.

So what do I do with the "subconscious mind" thing? I let my mind do other things I need to do while clicking ads without thinking of the latter. Let say for example, while clicking ads, I used to think of some topic that I want to blog about or any movies I want to watch over the next weekend. I also used to think of what just happened on our school today, or plan my day ahead for tomorrow and many more. Thinking other things that you can plan of while clicking is a good idea to kill my boredom.

Another thing that I always do is to play my favorite songs and singing with it. A song is compose if an average of 3 mins and a NeoBux normal advertisement (including AdPrize) runs about 5 seconds (with respect to the internet speed and the ad itself). That means, a whole song can cover about 30 ads. Playing three of my favorite songs will make me realize that I've already finished clicking all of my Neobux ads and AdPrize without realizing it.

Regarding about being bored because of the click rates and your accumulated main balance, well it still goes with out mindset and how we perceive it. If you are the type of person who rushes things, easily get annoyed or pessimistic, then you easily feel this kind of mental state. However, if you will put right things in your mind, you can easily overcome this. Remember, at the beginning, this is not an easy-to-get-rich activity. Also, as a newbie, this is not a job. Always think of this as a hobby on your daily life. Most of all, keep in your mind that a mile begins with a single step.

Always have a positive outlook in your life. The way on how you perceive things greatly affect your behavior and eventually your habit in life as your habit is another thing to consider for your own success.

You may agree or disagree with the things I just said on this article. But to make myself clear, these are all based on my opinion and the actual things I do in my activities. Getting My First Referral in NeoBux

My NeoBux - After 15 Days

It's been two weeks since I registered here in NeoBux. I'm so excited to write about some of my progress here.

Here is a glimpse to my account after 15 days:

I've already earned more than $1 within after two (2) weeks without referral and by just being a standard member. Thanks to AdPrize, I was able to hit this half of the minimum payout in half a month being alone. LoL. Anyway, this is a good start.

Since I'm now on my Day 15, I can now use my referral link to invite my friends to join NeoBux! Click here to see how to use the referral link in NeoBux. According to NeoBux' ToS 3.10:

Users can only have direct referrals after being a member for at least 15 days and having at least 100 clicks. Any attempts to get them before that will fail.

I've already seen 425 advertisements since Day 1 so I am now all set. Let's see what will happen next.
