Tuesday, 16 August, 2011

Dear Friends and Family:

I am praying I will be able to register for fall term. Before I can register I need to pay the seminary, $2000, before 4 September 2011. I am intimately aware of the financial climate and I trust that God will be able to create a way for me to register.

If you are led to help financially I will thank you in advance. The investment in my education is an investment in the future. In a time when banks are closing, the stock market is scattered, and it is hard for anyone to get work. Perhaps one of the safest investments is in the education of future leaders. I can only promise to pay it forward in equal measure the gifts that I am blessed with. I ask you to consider the following from Paul to the Corinthians:

“It’s not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow. Planting and watering are menial servant jobs at minimum wages.”
(1 Corinthians 3:7–8, The Message)

This path of accepting a calling to minister with God has not been easy. I am wholly committed to continuing this path of education and discernment. I entirely trust that the Holy Trinity has a purpose for my life. I am committed to this journey. During this journey I pray God will use me to both plant and water.

Your encouragement and prayers continue to sustain me on this journey. Please know I pray daily for all of you.

Sincerely,

Megan M Herdrich
