This is my outfit for the vogue festival. I chose to wear a bit of colour for the festival and it seems to have worked. I really liked the combination as it's a little out of my comfort zone and is the beginning of a new colourful journey!
Stay tuned for more picture of the ladies I met and the wonderful venue.

So I managed to get some tickets to go to Vogue festival and attend the Donatella Versace talk, which was absolutely amazing!!! Her accent was so thick at times that it was a little hard to get her jokes and hear her at times, but for me, it kinda added to the experience. I've never really been to any big fashion event, never been to LFW or anything like that, so this was kinda a big deal for me. I was initially apprehensive about going by myself, but once I got there, I was so comfortable. I was so happy to be amongst other girls and guys who share the same passion for fashion. Everyone looked absolutely great and the vibe was just unreal. I suddenly realise how much I love fashion and how much I want to attend more fashion events.

Dontatella Versace's talk was very interesting. She expounded upon her early life and her family and how strict her mother was, she then went on to talk about her rebellious personality at such a young age and the influence of her brother Gianni Versace who was later gunned down in 1997. She spoke of her relationship with her brother and the fights they would have and how much she misses him. She told us of the struggle to be strong and step into the role of head of design whilst grieving over her deceased brother. She spoke of her focus and how many people helped her along the way.

All in all, it was a great event, but one thing she said that stuck with me was to believe in and fight for your ideas. That is one thing I will definitely do for the rest of my life, because there's only one shot at life and you have to give it your all as opposed to cowering in fear from fictional failures. It's all in the mind, both failure and success. Why not chose to believe you will be successful?
I managed to see Donatella up close as she was signing T-Shirts and I had one so I was allowed to get really close.I think the Vogue Festival opened to my eyes to a range of possibilities and how much I love fashion. From now on... I will have another view of fashion. It will no longer be some aloof concept that is way beyond the stars... I can be involved, I just need to work hard. It's what I love, and I must fight for it. What's the point of just existing, doing a job you hate for the rest of your life? Why not fight to do what you love?

I'll post more pictures later on today and tomorrow or a few amazing people I met and my outfit.
Loving my new earrings .. They're so amazing. It's all about the cross earrings, I may even buy the bigger ones. These were from Primark for about £2 or something. Nice and cheap and cheerful *shrugs*
I'm trying to wear more earrings now, as I haven't been wearing them for a while. For some reason I feel like they don't really suit me, but I won't let that myth stop me from wearing them. I will be brave and rock them!! Who's gonna join me!??? Got this lippy for £1 loooool!

I thought I'd try a cheap pink before I venture into Mac to find a duplicate. I always look at the pinks in mac and wonder which one would suit me, but I can never be bothered to aaaactually try it on. So I bough this one and it's amazing! Try a new lip colour too. If you are like me and you do NOT want to try any on in store, just buy some duplicates and then find the closest match in mac.

I absolutely love this perfume... It's the perfume my mother wears and that's how I found out about it. I think my love for it is attached to the fact that this was my mums fave. It's such an elegant smell, I'm not that knowledgeable about perfume, so I don't know all the lingo that I need to describe this perfume, but I would advise you go to your local perfume store and give it a good old sniff. I think my next perfume purchase will be Prada Candy, then Marc Jacobs Oh Lola. I have only really had Fantasy and Midnight by Britney Spears, Reb'l by Rihanna, Angels and Demons by Givenchy and Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci. Most of which were bought by my boyfriend Elorm. He's so amazing!!! He even bought this bottle for me and I literally jumped when he gave it to me... Hopefully I get some more lol. Smelling good makes you feel good and confident, definitely invest in a good perfume.

Everyone seems to have the idea that if you love fashion, you have to look a certain way... Or you have to know certain things. The common misconception is that we are all in the know about every single designer around. We know about all the fashion shows or weeks there are, we are into all the latest trends about 6 months before they are released and the list goes on. However, I may be the only one to admit this (or not), but I don't actually know all the designers, sometimes there are so many coming out at once that I even wonder how it's possible to know them all. I can tell you of the main designers, but I have a select few favourites who I believe are like me in some ways, or have a great story, the rest, I simply hear about and appreciate. It seems to be a bit of a taboo when someone asks you about a designer or some other fashion person and you don't know who they are, but you profess that you love fashion. There is that unsaid rule that fashion people know everything to do with fashion, but it is not true. There are simply too many people to know, even if we sifted through the fashion industry and looked for the most famous and influential, we'd have such a long list of people. If you don't believe me, let's do the test... Can you name every model that is being requested for all the high profile designers, or the models of 2013 and the rising starts? Can you name all the influential editors of all the Vogue or Elle magazines? Can you tell me who is currently the most sort after designer? Do you know the designers of 2013? Or the rising stars? Do you know what collections are set to run the high street? Or better still, do you know all the trends for this year? Or all the top bloggers?

The questions continue and just become harder and harder to answer, and if you were stuck by question two, I think I've made my point).

It seems as though most people are in the know about their passions. I could tell you about a lot of bloggers. I could tell you about Fashion websites and many of the fashion social media moguls, but I couldn't tell you of all the designers, but today I'm here to tell you, that's OK. However, I am not advocating ignorance, I wish to elevate the pressures that come with the label, ''fashionista''. We are all into different areas of fashion, it's such a multifaceted industry and we should be at liberty to chose what area we want to specialise in. It's the rule of thumb with science, business, computer science, teaching, writing etc. Identify what area's you'd love to specialise in and focus on that, read as much as you can about the fashion industry as a whole, but know everything there is to know about designing for example, or social media, or modelling. It will only be a painful drag, and once something becomes a chore, it's all down hill from there. We should not live up to the unnecessary pressures that are applied to us, we should live, trying to be the best/ most knowledgeable in our chosen field. Do not let this myth mess with you, don't allow it to get you down, we're all different and once you realise that, you'll be free.

Most people when they think ''defensive'' they think, someone who is overtly defensive. We usually think of someone who is loud and irritable. However, it is possible to be passively defensive. A person is usually defensive when they are trying to avoid liability. Defensiveness is a conscious or subconscious attempt to rationalise our behaviour in order to make our behaviour appear socially. Defensiveness, as the word implies, is a defence mechanism. People who exhibit defensiveness may know that their actions were wrong, but will persists and insist on convincing others that they are right. The inability to acknowledge their short comings keeps all their unresolved issues suppressed and repressed. The mind uses defensiveness as a defence mechanism, and although it seems bizarre that someone who thinks they are right needs a defence mechanism, it is actually the case. This can be a result of the conflict in the mind that says, ''you know you're wrong'' but in an attempt to protect yourself, you rationalise your behaviour. People who are defensive, usually have a nagging voice in their head constantly telling them that they were wrong and that their actions were appalling. If your back is up the moment someone confronts you with an issue they have with you, you have an unbalanced view of yourself. Someone who has a healthy awareness of their behaviour is someone who will acknowledge that they are wrong, even if the supposed behaviour is not a natural part of their personality, they will acknowledge that it is not beyond them. Someone who has a healthy view of themselves will not feel attacked, even if they did not intend to upset or hurt the other person, they will apologise and rectify the situation.

As I mentioned before, there is a passive defensiveness, which I believe is the least recognised. This is a defensiveness of the heart where an individual will listen to another persons complaint against them, apologise, but believe that the problem is always with the other person... For example, if they are approached about being rude and out of line, they will say to themselves, ''they're just sensitive...'' or ''they are paranoid...'' and convince themselves that they are never the problem. This kind of defensiveness is probably the hardest to deal with, as the individual will rarely verbalise their true thoughts.
I found that many people into fashion are defensive about their spending habits as we sometimes have an over active nagger that nags us even when we are buying essentials. This causes a defensive response when asked about our spending habits however... As long as you realise that you are not always wrong for buying clothes and shoes (as some are essentials), this defence mechanism will slowly fade...

The best way to deal with defensiveness:

Don't take criticism so personally. Acknowledge that you are a human being and you do make mistakes. Learn from your mistakes and grow.

Practice being told about your short comings and not defending your behaviour, even if you did not do it on purpose.

Don't just say you are open to criticism, be open to criticism, by asking your friends what they think the negative things are about you.

Don't listen to that voice that tells you that you're such a terrible person.

Let your guard down

I touched on constant comparison in my post about envy (the second sign of insecurity). Although it may seem like envy and constant comparison are the same, they are actually quite different. Envy, is a sense of discomfort when hearing about another progression, where as constant comparison occurs when an individual constantly compares them self with others, for the purposes of self enhancement. For example, people who treat everything like a competition.

Have you ever been around a person who seems to be in competition with everything you say or do? It's quite bizarre. It's like a constant back and forth dialogue of you versus them. I found that people like this are less likely to share information with you, let you become just as ''important'' as them or over take them. Constant competition is a mental state, although a person who has this mentality may not have a physical check list, they usually have a mental one and rate themselves and others, based on how many sticks they have on the mental tally chart. If they find someone who is better than them at something, they will find other areas and observed weaknesses to home in on. Once they find a soft spot, they begin a fresh tally sheet where they always end up ''winning'' (or perceiving they have won). People like this are extremely exhausting to be around and people tend to keep their secrets from them. Competitive people can end up feeling bad after zealously trying to ''win'' as they realise that it doesn't bring a sense of security and only hurts the people around them. It can be the same in the fashion community. It may not be a verbal competitiveness, but a behaviour one that is measured by followers... Some may over spend in order to seem like they are they doing well. Some even portray a lifestyle that is so far removed from their actual lifestyle, just to get those brownie point. Slight remarks in videos, on blog post or on Instagram and Facebook about who was the first to do this, or the fact that they don't do that kind of video, all point to a competitive nature.

I have had extremely competitive personalities around me. Being a psychologist, I was able to identify the traits immediately and soon sussed out these individuals. I realised that they think little of themselves and need to compare themselves to people they perceive as 'amazing', in order to feel adequate. I found that there is usually an inferiority complex behind the urge to compete. I found that the best way to deal with a competitive person is to refrain from joining in. That way, you avoid getting frustrated and you don't feed the addiction. A competitive nature is one that can be encouraged by parents, school teachers, friends and even foes... It is accepted in society and it has become an acceptable trait for people in industries such as the bushiness world and the fashion industry, but I believe it is destructive and unacceptable as it hurts the individual and the people around them.

How to reduce a competitive nature:

Accept that you are, who you are and you do not need to compare yourself

Accept that you are competitive and deal with that part of your personality. It is not who you are, it is not set in stone and it is not something to be ashamed of, many of us do it, it's just some do it more than others.

When you feel the urge to become competitive, praise the other person on how amazing they are.

Focus on the greatness in yourself and you will appreciate the greatness in others.

Are you addicted to the approval of others? Most of us want to say no, however, in reality, we probably all suffer with an addiction to approval. Much like a drug, approval can provide a sense of a sense of confidence and a temporal high. An addiction is usually characterised by a dependency on something. Are you highly dependant on what people say to or about you? Do you crumble at the sign of disapproval?

Have you ever noticed that awkward moment when a passer by looks you up and down and you automatically look down to see where the problem was. Or that moment when you're talking to someone and their eyes are fixed on a particular part of you and you look to that spot to ensure nothing is out of place. We usually feel a quick sense of anxiety, to the point where we can't hold off looking down at ourselves, only to reassure ourselves we are fine. Have you noticed, if you don't feel comfortable in what you're wearing or how you look, you notice the looks even more. It's not even a bad or scornful look, it's usually a quick glance that we all do... But it can have such a profound effect on you, especially if you are addicted to approval. There is nothing wrong with seeking advice, but once you become dependant on it to make everyday choices, you will be subject to the opinions that you hold in such high regard.

Where does this addiction come from?

An approval addiction can be caused by various events, situations or unhealthy relationships that we have. For example, if you have experienced many situations where you acted independently and as a result, everything went pair shaped. Or if you were constantly told you were clumsy, irresponsible or useless. Or even being in a relationship with someone who creates an atmosphere for unhealthy dependence you can develop a deep need for approval. Approval was one thing I needed, not in the area of clothing, but in my finances. I didn't even realise I was addicted to it. I only realised I was addicted to approval when I noticed how often I would ask my boyfriend for his advice in order to make the most mundane decision. At times I found myself asking if it was wise to buy this, or that.. Or feeling guilty for buying something and needing him to tell me it was OK. This was as a result of being told I never spent my money right. In an attempt to over compensate and tread carefully with my money, I became addicted to my boyfriends approval, which after a while reduced me to a point where I wouldn't independently buy a £5 top without feeling anxious. I soon realised that I could make my own decisions and learn from my mistakes as opposed to being afraid of them. Now, I manage my money properly, and have money at the end of the month lol. If I didn't decide to go cold turkey, I'd still be addicted.

What can you do to reduce your addiction to approval?

You can start by making sure you are happy with what you are wearing, before you leave the house!

Be comfortable being different

Ensure that you are frequently making independent decisions (practise with small ones)

Trust yourself and your decisions

Be willing to make mistakes, it won't be the end of the world

Be free to be yourself .

Parrott et al. (1993) defined envy as a strong feeling of resentment that happens when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality, achievement or possession and wishes that the other lacked it.

Envy is a potent epidemic in this day and age. It is even seen as normal. Envy is a result of a warped perception of how to achieve ultimate happiness. It eats at us and causes the decay of our self worth, causing us to be increasingly insecure. We are made more self conscious by being encouraged to envy the lives of others. Many magazines make their sales from convincing you that your life is so insignificant in comparison to celebrities, so much so, that you're even given tips and tricks for living a life similar to theirs. We are constantly bombarded with the site of lavish lifestyles. We are made to believe that success is one dimensional and ultimate happiness is only truly experienced by a certain class, and type of people. For many people, being a celebrity would be the ultimate definition of success. We are led to believe that the acquisition of material wealth will resolve our unhappiness. This is especially true for those of us that love fashion. This may even be the cause for the rise in sales of clothing over the last three decades. The constant urge and desire to acquire is fed by the magazines and reality shows that portray the rich and famous as experiencing a joy that we all need, but can never attain.

Envy is a terrible thing, it can cause tension in a relationship and is easily identified. If you are envious, chances are, the people around you can feel it. A wise man once said, ''out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks'', and he couldn't be more right. If you are envious, your words will betray you and reveal your heart. Often times, everyone but the person who is extremely envious is aware of the envy. People who are envious tend to make sly remarks to those around them, and they may not even realise. They usually feel a sense of discomfort when people around them are perceived to be moving forward. They measure their success based on what other people are doing and because there are usually an infinite amount of people to compare themselves to, they never feel like they match up. These types of people are extremely frustrating to be in relationship with. They are hard to get close to and usually end up being pushed out and feeling alone. This then reinforces their idea that they are not worth much.

Envy is a revolving cycle. No matter what, you will always feel you don't match up. This is because we were never meant to get our sense of security by seeing how much we measure up to someone else's standard of living. If you perceive that you need to have the life of someone else before you can be happy, you will never be happy. We must appreciate our God given qualities that are irrevocable. It's OK to appreciate, but once you idolise another's life and compare it to your own, your sense of self worth will depreciate. You will be difficult to be around and you will only push yourself further into unhappiness. Ask yourself the question... Am I an envious person? Do I make sly remarks in an attempt to make people feel as little as I feel? Is your initial reaction to a friends success, a feeling of discomfort? Are you fooling yourself into thinking no one else knows? Are you pretending to be happy for people? Are you pretending you are happy?

Be honest with yourself, let's start a fresh new page, envy free. This will boost our happiness levels and enable us to appreciate ourselves.

Even though she insults me and tells me I bring mess to her room (lies)... I love her to bits. She has grown up so much, it is beautiful. I remember when she was so little. Now she is all grown... I remember being 17! It wasn't that long ago.. (Ok! 6 years ago ¬_¬ but still...) she's s grown up. I thank God for you chick! Stay funny, stay beautiful, stay blessed. Can't wait to see you on Friday. Love you boo.

I have a passion for psychology, the mind and understanding people which is evidenced in the fact that I did a degree in it. But lately, I've been thinking about how insecure our society is. It's such a wide spread epidemic and what makes it worse is, most people know they're insecure, but just don't know what makes them insecure and how to deal with the fact that they are insecure. In this next set of posts, I address 5 signs of insecurity and a few suggestions of what to do to recognise and reduce feelings of insecurity. I will run through the 5 signs of insecurity individually and bring it all together in one post at the end. One of the first signs of insecurity is Negative beliefs, it's the most evident one, but it is multi dimension. It comprises of three types of negative thoughts, negative thoughts about yourself, your future and others around you. Below, I will discuss each type:

About yourself

People that are insecure tend to have an extremely negative view of themselves. They internalise any negative event and tend to blame themselves for the bad things that happen to them. This negative way of thinking doesn't just happen. It is developed over a long period of time and thinking patterns are developed and established in the mind. Each time a negative situation occurs that confirms this pattern of thinking, it reinforces the pattern and gives strength to it. Over time, that pattern of thinking becomes a natural part of a persons thought life and becomes embedded in their subconscious. When this happens, any negative situation, no matter how unrelated it is, is filtered through the foggy lens of this negative thinking pattern. Soon, a person with a set in stone negative belief system exhibits a negative sense of self worth as they begin to believe the lies that have been cemented in their minds from a young age.

About your future

As the negative thoughts begin to become second nature and you have accepted that this is the way life is, you begin to expect bad things to happen. This is the minds way of creating a defense mechanism. The mind finds various ways to cope with high levels of stress (which to you may seem small, but the brain is frying at the first sign of stress lol), one of these coping strategies is to prepare for the stresseors This keeps your mind in a constant state of defense, which in turn causes you to be cynical of the future. Most people try and keep their aspirations and expectations low, so that they will not be disappointed by the end result. This is particularly true in the fashion industry. Most people don't believe that the fashion industry is one that allows everyone and anyone to succeed, and if these have a negative view of themselves and they have been rejected by the fashion industry and community, they will dampen their hopes in order to protect their hearts. However, this is not the solution as your passions will always remain. Your passions never die, they evolve. You will either fulfill them, or you ignore them, but ignoring them makes you extremely unhappy and full of regret as you get older. Living a substandard life to avoid disappointment is an illusion. You will be disappointed for the rest of your life if you don't try. The future only exists in our minds, we only have today, and today affects tomorrow. So if you are always thinking negatively about tomorrow, you won't work hard today. That's why it is best to avoid negative beliefs about yourself, which will push you to aspire for more and eradicate any thoughts of a negative future.

About others

We tend to become cynical of others when we believe that we are not worthy of being treated right. We also have a cynical view of people when we believe they will bring harm in our future. But how is it we human beings can dislike a person in a matter of minutes? Or seconds?

Well... Our minds tend to compartmentalise, this is done to save energy and for brain efficiency. Our minds put things into categories like fruit, tastes, feelings, music and people. If we dealt with every situation in life as a novel one, we'd struggle to understand things and situations. It would ruin our conscious experience. We would not experience a sense of time, joy, laughter, euphoria when remembering a good time and even our reading would be impaired. We would not function efficiently and we'd have mash potatoes for brains as the brain would be over worked. Organisation is an amazing feature of the mind, however, there is a dark side to this ability. The brain can compartmentalise in such a rigid way that you are unable to shift your views and opinions about things and even people. This is where we get stereotypes and prejudice. In it's extreme form, it can produce racism and extreme religious groups. It can cause you to believe a certain type of person will always cause you harm, or it can create an irrational negativity towards people in general. The only way to over ride this negativity is to believe that you are worthy of being treated well and you are a man (or woman lol) on a mission! You must believe you are headed for greatness and anyone that is around you supports you and lifts you up. However, do not volunteer yourself as a punching bag! Any one that exhibits contrary behaviour has to go. This is a healthy way of dealing with relationships and keeping them stable. Keeping your eye out for wolves in sheep clothing is ok, but don't tarnish everyone with the same brush. This will increase your joy and enable you to enjoy your relationships.

I've been a bit up and down about how I look over the past few months, weird... I know... But even slim girls have that complex. I have gained a bit of weight lately and I just felt a bit weird. I don't think I've ever been so heavy lol (I promise I'm not taking the mick). I have always been very slim and when I was younger, I was very skinny.

Of late I have just been piling on the pounds and to be honest, I'm surprised I'm not bigger because the junk I've been eating is shocking!!! I do have a very fast metabolism so I'm not one of those people who are prone to gaining weight very quickly... But over the past year or so, I've had a really stressful time. Last year I went through one of the most painful experiences like ever and soon after that, I was looking for a new job again. Looking for a job was becoming an ever increasing stress, especially as this was not the first time I had been out of employment. I think I've let myself go of late because of the pressures of life.

As I gained weight, my bust began to get bigger too. I've always been quite busty, but I really did seem to be gaining weight in that area. I know there are people who would die for a big bust, but I just prefer how I used to look.

But now! With the help of my siblings, I've realised however, instead of feeling a bit funny about how I look, I can look exactly how I want to look. All it takes is effort, so I'm enjoying how I look now, whilst embracing how I will look in the next few month.

I decided to post these pictures to flaunt what I have and celebrate all the ladies with a big bust. I think I am beginning to appreciate the fact that I have a big bust. No matter what size I become (I'll probably go down one size to a size 8 lol) I will always have a big bust so I'll be representing for all my big busted bloggers.

XxX

Solange is my favourite celebrity. I'm not that into the whole celebrity culture, but Solange is an absolute exception. I love the fact that her style is a colourful, vibrant, 1970s, Diana Ross-ish, afro-centric combination. I think I have a soft spot for Solange as she looks a lot like my mum in the 90s. I think she has a poise about her that is absolutely priceless. Although Solange has had a funny fashion journey, starting off at the other spectrum, she has done a total 180 and has grown into a beautiful, classy, stylish young woman. She is evidence that there is hope for us all. Although Solange probably had some help along the way... It still shows that we can reinvent ourselves and change our look if we want to and it can totally work.

Solange embodies change.

Well... Where do I even begin... Nicole Warne has probably been the most influential blogger for me. Since 2011 I have watched Nicole Warne go from strength to strength. She embodies classy and timeless style. Her simplicity speaks volumes Her passion for fashion is evident in her use of colour and texture. Nicole is one of those people I will never get bored of, it's been two years and I'm not bored yet. I think she's my biggest non celebrity influence. Long skirts, expensive shirts, arm candy and wide legged trousers are a few of the key pieces from Nicole's wardrobe that I love.

Timeless style is all we need.

I love Aimee Song of song of style because she always has fun with her clothes. She manages to look amazing, even in the most casual shorts like EVER! I love following her Instagram because there will always be something inspiring. She is always smiling, and she seems to just be living her life and sharing it with the rest of the world. Style Aimee is so effortless. Aimee song doesn't really sport winter looks as I believe she lives in a warm state, however, when she rocks the winter look, it's just as flawless as her summer outfit.

She's simply amazing!

Rumi Neely is another blogger I have followed since I first started blogging and if you look back to my first posts, Rumi was there. She has always looked so perfect. What excited me about Rumi was that she looked so amazing, yet, she was someone I could relate to. She was beautiful, with an edgy cool swagger. Her shades, cropped tops and amazing cut out boots hooked me instantly. Her clothes fell perfectly on her slim figure and her long legs. Her trips to different cities and fashion shows inspired me and showed me the world of fashion that I didn't even know I had a love for. Rumi Neely is a blogger that doesn't have to shout at the roof tops that she is amazing. Her lifestyle seems so effortless. She seems so passionate, yet it comes so naturally that it looks like she's so...

Nonchalant about fashion.

50 shades of yellow, brown, black and white... Who knew these colours could be so amazing!? I love Jenny Ong's consistency. I love how she uses different shades of the same colour and creates various styles without deviating from a select few colours. Jenny is another blogger I have followed for over two years! Her style has inspired me to use layers and colours like brown and yellow. I love how wears shorts and loads of layers up top. She matches and clashes shapes and patterns without even having to think about it... Using all those warm colours makes her...

COOL!

Sandra has such a unique style. I love the fact that she is so classy, so elegant, so stylish, but I wouldn't wear a few of the things she rocks because I simply, just could not get away with it. Her European inspired attire is outstanding and outlandish, fashionable, but unique, high classy but so down to earth. Her high fashion pieces are styled in such a way that the ordinary person can still aspire to, and attain similar looks. I love her long hair and her beautiful face, her integration of personal style and the latest trends. Sandra wears what she wants, when she wants and she leads the way and allows the crowd to follow... All in all, Sandra is
Shini is full of class, full of life, full of inspiration. Her photo's inspire me to do more editing, learn more about the camera I have and utilise the lenses I have. Her classy style reminds me of the west end, lunch with the ladies, trips to the museum. Shini knows what she is doing and she does it well. Her style is so refreshing. Shini has inspired some of my outfits and some of my restaurant choices. Her all rounded blog has reminded me of the things I love; fashion, food and photography, and I love that. I love when a blog takes you back to your passions and makes you reflect on what brings you joy. Shini reminds me that style is a lifestyle, so I...

Do everything in style...

Karen's style is so different. I can't really put it into a box. Most of the time, she actually has me asking, ''where did you get that!!!??'' And sometimes I even ask, ''Where the HELL did you get that''

But each time I visit her blog, I'm inspired to be myself. I love how Karen combines cool and classy with the american west. I've never really seen a sense of style that is so eclectic. I love the heavy dark eye make up and the bright clothes. The long jackets and the crazy patterned trousers. Karen Blanchard is always an

Original.

The moment I came across Jazmine's pictures, I knew I wanted to follow her. I only recently started following Jazmine, but I feel like I should have been following her from th every get go. I love her casual style. I love that I would wear almost anything she wears. I love her sweet elegance and her French look. I love the high waisted trousers with the stripy top. I love the look of her picture. There is such an innocence about her blog that is indescribable... But I love it. Her blog is so warm and

So sweet.

Andy Torres was a recent fave of mine. I love her pictures on Instagram... I've watched her TED talk about fashion blogging, I've watched her ad with Canon, I just think she's so ambitious. Her style is one in a million, it's so neat, so fresh and I love how she rocks the most uncool shades (the blue mirror ones) and makes them look so cool. She reminds me of a business woman, without the title, she is a great speaker, a great fashion icon, a great blogger and a massive

Inspiration.

These ladies have all inspired me to be the blogger I am today. They have all uniquely contributed to the style of my blog, my pictures, my personal style, what I buy and wear, how I style what I wear and being who I was born to be. If you want to take a look at any of their blogs, just click their name and you will be redirected to their blogs... Check them out, they're such an amazing group of young ladies.

We don't always need to wear a thousand items to look or feel good. Minimalism is about maximising without compromising. I love being comfortable... I love being fashionable... I love minimalism.
This look draws it's inspiration from the sporty trend, it's so me, so comfortable and it's something I would grab on a warm spring day without even thinking twice. I have noticed that I am not that into wearing loads and loads of ''out there'' pieces, I keep it simple. I used to get really annoyed with myself because I thought fashion was about being out there! However, I soon realised that just as a simple piece of art can speak volumes, have character, texture and poise, I can be elegant, classy, simple, and creative. It's never a game of either or in fashion... In fact, I look to the more simple look now, it's timeless, it's easy to recreate and weirdly enough... It still inspires.

I love the grey and the monochrome tailored joggers. I love the touch of gold and the airy look. I think I'm just about ready for spring... How about you? What look describes you best? What do you pull out of the wardrobe almost by default???

Check out my new video addressing the question, ''what is fashion?''. As you can see through my previous blog posts, I am beginning to question why I love fashion, what it means to me and what I am truly saying when I say, ''I have a passion fir fashion''. There are many grey areas when it comes to understanding why people love fashion and there are many misconceptions in regards to peoples fashion passion. In this video, I basically ask a few questions about how the average person can be involved in the fashion cycle and community and how we fashionistas try to stay on top of this ever changing fashion world... Subscribe to my channel by clicking here and follow me on this journey of discovery.

I believe this series will help us to understand fashion. It will enable us to understand the fashion community, understand our differences and similarities and embrace who we are as a collective. More importantly, I believe this series will help us to embrace our individuality. so watch the vid, comment, like and share it, so we can start a discussion about what fashion is and how we can make it better.
