18 weeks

18 weeks today. We are waiting to find out at my next doctor appointment what the gender is. I have been feeling the baby move a lot this week. Love it! I have been feeling great! I am still working out a few days a week, feels good. I love the 2nd trimester. We are so excited to see our new bundle of joy in 3 weeks. We all think its a girl. We shall see.

Potty Training time

This past week I decided to try to potty train Cannon. He is 25months and he was showing many signs that he was ready. So we went shopping for undies and potty treats. My sister let us barrow this awesome cars potty too. Monday we started and had about 7 accidents and one in the potty. Tuesday was 2 in the potty and one accident. Then from then on he was telling me when he needed to go potty. Today at church he kept saying he needed to go potty but he would not go on the potty at church. So I had to run him home and he ended up going. I guess the bathroom stalls just made him nervous and plus there was a lot of people coming in and out of the bathroom too which made things more distracting for him. We are so proud of him and it has been a lot of work.

Today I am 16 weeks. I am feeling so much better! The bump is for sure growing more rapidly with this pregnancy. We will find out in about 4 weeks what we are gonna have. Everyone is thinking Girl. I have been keeping up with working out a couple days a week. I am feeling great!

Christmas Eve was a fun day. We baked in the morning and got our house ready for our guests (Jeremy and Bianca). Then we went to the movies and saw Adventures of Tin Tin. It was a good movie. We came home and ate pizza, kids opened a few presents, got baths and went to bed.

Baby #3 will be arriving in June 2012. We are very excited! I am 14 weeks and 2 days to be exact. I'm starting to feel a lot better and getting some energy back. I know I'm showing a lot already for only 14 weeks for only 1 baby being in there.

Cannons ER Visit

We drove down to Arizona the Friday after Thanksgiving to visit my family. It was gonna be a fast trip. Leave Friday and come home Sunday. Well C wasn't feeling good Friday but I just decided to go anyways. Even though there was that small voice (spirit) telling me to stay home. So after a long drive to AZ we got to my parents house. I put C down for bed and could hear him coughing. I knew that cough and it was the sound of croup. So I went to bed at 10 and didn't sleep because I was listening to every breath and cough C was doing. Well at 3 am C started crying. I jumped up and felt him and he was so hot! I took his temp and it was 101. I decided I was taking him to the ER. Lucky for us the ER wasn't packed so we were able to get right in. His temp was 99.9 and he is 27lbs. I had to dress him down to his diaper. They moved us back into a room and the doc came right in. He said we are giving him a breathing treatment and a steroid shot. I thought that was gonna be it, sweet! Then we can go home and go to bed. Nope it wasn't it. The doc wanted us to wait there an hr to see how the shot was working. An hr and half later of waiting, trying to keep C from crying, I gave him two things of apple juice, they gave him a dinosaur that he threw across the room several times,the doc comes in again and checks his ears and lungs. He said I wanna take an xray of his lungs. So the xray machine is brought to the room, at this point C and I were done. We just wanted to go home and go to bed.. after driving all day and staying up all night we were exhausted. Two men come in and pushed me out of the room so they could do xrays on C. I could see him and he was yelling for me. I felt hopeless and was trying not to cry from his cries. 30 mins later the doc comes back with results and said well he has pneumonia on his right lung. First thought great he is gonna be hospitalized.. Well the doc said I will give you a prescription and he will need to take it for 10 days. OK I can do that. So the doc said I was able to take the heart monitor off C, but the nurse came in a freaked out (which through this whole time we were there C kept taking the thing off his foot because he hated it. So I let him because it made him stop crying ( I know I'm a great mom). So the nurse put the monitor back on him and took one last vital sign. Then we got our prescription and we went home and went to bed. We got to my parents at 5am and C slept till 7am. 2 hrs of slept and wouldn't sleep at all during the day. But sat night he slept amazing, we both did. C is feeling a lot better since being home. He has 2 more days of antibiotics. He just has a runny nose and a lil cough. I am so glad he is feeling better. On top of all this he has cut through 3 eye teeth. I feel so bad for the lil guy. His 2nd Birthday is next Sunday!

Adam and I are so blessed and grateful to have these two, beautiful, smart, fun, and happy kidos in our lives. They are both full of energy and are alot a like, they are also very different. We love them so much!

Halloween 2011

Halloween day Alaya had gymnastics so I told her she can be a cat for gym class.. We she ended up wearing the ear and tail all day long. When it came time to get ready for Halloween night she wouldn't change into her fairy costume. So I didn't want to argue I just said ok you can be a fairy cat. So that is what she was. Cannon was an army man. He loved trick or treating! Alaya ran to all the door really fast. I was wore out after 2 streets. So we came home and we handed out ALL our candy to kids. Alaya really enjoyed that!

Friends for 14yrs!

My friend Jessica and I have been best friends for the past 14 years! She is always so kind and comes out to where ever we maybe living and visits us for a few days.. She flew in to Utah on wed.. We went to dinner then a Haunted House. Thursday we hiked the Y then we went out that night to Riverwoods and hung out and talked. We came home and rented a movie and watched it on my bed, even though I fell asleep. Friday we went to my nieces birthday party then we took her up to Park City to watch the Warren Miller movie and went out to eat. Sat we carved pumpkins and decorated our car for the trunk or treat. That night we went to our ward Halloween party. Sunday we went to church then I sadly had to take her to the airport. I wish she could have stayed longer. But I am so happy that she was able to come up and we got to be with each other. I miss her!

Alaya also wanted to go to chuck e cheese for her birthday lunch. So on her actual birthday we took her there and let her play on all the arcade games for a couple hours. I honestly cant believe we have a 5 year old. She has grown up way too fast and I love watching her grow into a beautiful young girl. I am so blessed to be her mom and I am so grateful she is in our lives. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALAYA!

Timpangos Hike

Adam and Tommy went and did a mid night hike on Timpanogos Mtn on Saturday night. They left here about 11:30pm and came home at 7:30am. They couldn't go all the way up because there was just too much snow and they didn't have any snowshoes. I'm sure they will be going on the hike again soon but will be taking snowshoes.

Fairies and Witches

This year for Halloween Alaya decided she wanted to be a fairy/witch.. After I had made this tutu (alaya picked the colors) she changed her mind to just wanting to be a fairy, which I am completely fine with. So she will only be a fairy this year.

Alaya has been in Gymnastics now for a year and half. Check out her handstand. She can hold it for about 5 secs. She is amazing!

Fall!

Last weekend between the Sunday session of General Conference we took the kids up for a lil walk. It was so pretty up through Provo Canyon. The leaves were all changing and it was perfect weather. Happy Fall !!

Armor of GOD!

A couple weeks ago for Family Home Evening we did it on the Armor of God. Well Adam and I threw water balloons at the kids and gave the "Armor" to protect themselves from the things that can hurt us spiritually. They loved it!

Frist day and last year of Pre-School

I don't know how I am going to do next year when Alaya goes to Kindergarten. I'm probably going to ball my eyes out, because today I just cried. When I took Alaya to her classroom her teacher helped her put her name tag on then helped her find her seat of where she will be sitting. Alaya was shy and was just looking at everyone and everything around her. She was nervous but also was so excited. I think the hardest part was seeing how nervous she was. When I went and got her she was so happy and all the "nervous" was gone. She brought home her new school bag and a huge smile!

Alaya has done it.. She is so good at riding her bike all by herself from start to finish now. We are so proud of her!

Alaya starts her last year of pre-school tomorrow. She is very excited to go to school and meet new friends. We have had a blast this summer, many days swimming, riding bikes, many days at the park, hiking, playing with friends, and that is only to name a few. She is already excited for her 5th birthday, which is still a few months away. She has a lot of energy even after a long day of playing. She is still doing gymnastics. I am so proud of her and all her accomplishments this year.

Cannon is a fireball. He is into climbing on everything. He has learned to push chairs or boxes to get onto things. He loves playing with other kids but also thinks wrestling is the fun and nice way to play (that is how Alaya plays with him). He still take 3-4 hour naps everyday. He is still a picky eater and only likes certain things. He loves going to nursery now, for the past few weeks he hasn't cried once when I drop him off. We love having him in our family.

This is the biggest gumball machine I have ever seen.

Adam told me last week that he is taking me out for a lunch date next Tuesday, he got a sitter and all. I have been so excited because when Adam plans a date he always surprises me with the most fun things. So he got home from work and was so tired, I felt bad! But he said he had to go somewhere and he will be right back.. So I worked out and showered, he took the kids to my sister (THANK YOU FELISHA!!). Then when he got home he told me to wait in inside the house and he walked over to our neighbors house and came walking back with THIS awesome BIKE! We threw a few things in the backpack and we were headed to Riverwoods Mall. We love walking around and looking in new different stores (our favorite is probably kitchen stores). After walking around Adam took me to eat at Malawi's Pizza (The best pizza I have ever HAD!) Then we went over to the Chocolate Factory which has the best covered apples in the world, and they are pretty cheap too! Then we paddled back home, which we had this HUGE hill to go up and somehow we made it, well Adam is a great motivator and pushed me along the way up.. Once we got to the top of this mountain there were kids selling lemonade... So GOOD! Once we got home I told Adam that I will be in front and he can ride in the back (the back person doesn't steer or see, they just peddle) Lets just say I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants and Adam was a lil scared, so was all the neighbors watching. Adam and I both agreed this was the best date we have had. I LOVE THAT BOY!

18 months and Nursery!

Cannon is officially in Nursery! He loves it! He has gone 3 times now all by himself. He does so good! Last Sunday though he new what was gonna happen once I dropped him off, I leave.. So he started crying and wouldn't sit.. But I sat him him for a bit then I snuck out.. He cried for a bit then he was fine. This lil boy keeps me so busy! If he is bored he just gets into everything that he knows he is not suppose to get into. He knows what makes Alaya mad and he loves to see her get mad. He will purposely take her toy and run with it. He loves being outside, playing in the dirt and with bugs. He is always carrying a baseball, basketball, soccer ball, pretty much any ball. He can say a lot of words. His favorite is saying baseball. He Loves when Adam gets home from work or school he immediately runs up to him and wants Adam to hold him. He still sleeps amazing. He only takes one nap a day but it is usually 3-4 hours long.. He loves to pray and he will mumble his own prayers then say AMEN! He is actually starting to eat A LOT better! He is still picky but he will actually try it, it is so nice! He is 26lbs. He loves cars! We are so happy to have Cannon in our family he makes me smile everyday!
