BoNeSi- A New DDoS Botnet Simulator Tool Available For Download

After Armageddon now we got BoNeSi, the DDoS Botnet Simulator is a Tool to simulate Botnet Traffic in a testbed environment on the wire. It is designed to study the effect of DDoS attacks. BoNeSi generates ICMP, UDP and TCP (HTTP) flooding attacks from a defined botnet size (different IP addresses). BoNeSi is highly configurable and rates, data volume, source IP addresses, URLs and other parameters can be configured. There are plenty of other tools out there to spoof IP addresses with UDP and ICMP, but for TCP spoofing, there is no solution. BoNeSi is the first tool to simulate HTTP-GET floods from large-scale bot networks. BoNeSi also tries to avoid to generate packets with easy identifiable patterns (which can be filtered out easily).

It is highly recommend to run BoNeSi in a closed testbed environment. However, UDP and ICMP attacks could be run in the internet as well, but you should be carefull. HTTP-Flooding attacks can not be simulated in the internet, because answers from the webserver must be routed back to the host running BoNeSi. A demo video of BoNeSi in action can be found here.

BT5 R3 preview was released!!

BT5 R3 preview was released in BlackHat 2012 Las Vegas for the enjoyment of conference attendees. The main aim of that pre-release was to figure out their last bug reports and tool suggestions from the BH / Defcon crowds. This final release mainly focuses on bug-fixes as well as the addition of over 60 new tool. A whole new tool category was populated – “Physical Exploitation”, which now includes tools such as the Arduino IDE and libraries, as well as the Kautilya Teensy payload collection.

As usual KDE and GNOME, 32/64 bit ISOs, have been released a single VMware Image (Gnome, 32 bit).

We would also like to give to reminder that the first release candidate (R1) of BackTrack 5 was released in August last year. Later in March this year we got the second release candidate (R2) of BT 5.

For those requiring other VM flavors of BackTrack If you want to build your own VMWare image then instructions can be found in the BackTrack Wiki. Gmail Hacked!! State-Sponsored Attackers Accessing Millions of Gmail Accounts Illegally

This year cyber criminals became very busy while penetrating security systems of many leading Industries. Last week we have seen hackers had managed to steal more than 6.5 million passwords of LinkedIn users. Also this week we have seen popular dating site eHarmony faced cyber attacks which causes serious damages. Now its the turn for Internet giant Google. Hackers have managed to breach the tight security system of Google Mail I mean Gmail. According to last report state-sponsored attackers are accessing millions of Gmail accounts illegally. Google unveiled a new warning system to alert Gmail users when it suspects “state-sponsored” attackers are attempting to compromise their accounts or computers using malicious software.

Many China-based Gmail users reported received the warning early Wednesday in the form of a banner message at the top of their email accounts. The warning also reportedly appeared on accounts in the U.S. and Japan.

Google says it cannot provide details on how it knows that specific attacks are government-sponsored. But it said “detailed analysis” and “victim reports” strongly suggest the involvement of governments or state-sponsored groups.

Google VP Security Engineer Eric Grosse wrote, "If you see this warning it does not necessarily mean that your account has been hijacked. It just means that we believe you may be a target, of phishing or malware for example, and that you should take immediate steps to secure your account." However he also makes it clear that if users see that warning, it does not imply "Google's internal systems have been compromised."

Although Google did not mention any specific governments that may be behind the attacks, many technology analysts suggest it may be another chapter in the long-running dispute between Google and China over censorship and web privacy issues.

Reason to be careful if 'PayPal' says you have changed your email address

Have you received a notification claiming that your PayPal email address has changed?
Messages like the following have been spammed out to internet users:

Attached to the email is an HTML form (Personal Profile Form - PayPal-HTML), that requests you enter your personal information.
Of course, the email is not really from PayPal (who would never send you an HTML form via email anyway), and any information you enter will soon be in the hands of phishing cyber criminals.

PayPal is one of the most phished brands on the internet, as unlike traditional banks it has a truly global presence increasing the chances of a spammer successfully hooking a victim when they spam out their attacks en masse.

The PayPal website asks that if you receive a spoof email to forward it to their security team.
Make sure that you take care when receive unsolicited emails, seemingly from PayPal. It could be that in your haste to fix a security problem you are handing your credentials over to a criminal.

Ace: If you get any suspicious email, better think logically and deeper before proceed!! =)

Understanding Different Types of Malware

You may have probably heard of the term malware, virus, Trojan, key-logger, worm, backdoor, bot, root-kit, ransom-ware, ad-ware, spyware and dialer but wonder what are the differences as you may probably only know about virus. Basically malware is short for Malicious Software where all of the terms above falls into this category because they are all malicious. The different term being used instead of just plain virus is to categorize what the malicious software is capable of doing. For example, a keylogger steals whatever that is typed on your keyboard and sends it to the hacker, a trojan opens up a backdoor allowing the hacker to gain full access to your computer and etc.

Using “virus” as a catch-all phrase to include all types of malware is no longer accurate. The correct word to use should be malware. However don’t expect the big anti-virus companies to rebrand their products to Kaspersky Anti-Malware or Bitdefender Anti-Malware because doing that may risk losing their brand identity even if they actually a complete anti-malware solution. Here is a complete explanation on every malware terms.

Virus

A computer virus spreads on its own by smuggling its code into application software. The name is in analogy to its biological archetype. Not only does a computer virus spread many times and make the host software unusable, but also runs malicious routines.

Trojan horse/Trojan

A Trojan horse is a type of malware disguised as useful software. The aim is that the user executes the Trojan, which gives it full control of your PC and the possibility to use it for its own purposes. Most of times, more malware will be installed in your system, such as backdoor or key loggers.

Worm

Worms are malicious software that aim at spreading as fast as possible once your PC has been infected. Unlike viruses, it is not other programs that are used to spread the worms, but storage devices such as USB sticks, communication media such as e-mail or vulnerabilities in your OS. Their propagation slows down performance of PCs and networks, or direct malicious routines will be implemented.

Key loggers

Key loggers log any keyboard input without you even noticing, which enables pirates to get their hands on passwords or other important data such as online banking details.

Dialers

Dialers are relics from a time when modems or ISDN were still used to go online. They dialed expensive premium-rates numbers and thus caused your telephone bill to reach astronomic amounts, which meant enormous financial damage to you, the poor victim, who did not even know they were there. Dialers have no effect on ADSL or cable connections, which is why they are mostly considered extinct nowadays.

Backdoor / Bot

A backdoor is usually a piece of software implemented by the authors themselves that enables access to your PC or any kind of protected function of a computer program. Backdoors are often installed once Trojans have been executed, so whoever attacks your PC will gain direct access to your PC. The infected PC, also called “bot”, will become part of a bot net.

Exploit

Exploits are used to systematically exploit vulnerabilities of a computer program. Whoever attacks your PC will gain control of your PC or at least of parts of it.

Spyware

Spyware is software that spies on you, i.e. collects different user data from your PC without you even noticing.

Ad-ware

Ad-ware is derived from “advertisement”. Beside the actual function of the software, the user will see advertisements. Ad-ware itself is not dangerous, but tons of displayed adverts are considered a nuisance and thus are detected by good anti-malware solutions.

Root-kit

A root-kit mostly consists of several parts that will grant unauthorized access to your PC. Plus, processes and program parts will be hidden. They can be installed, for instance, through an exploit or a Trojan.

Rogues / Scare-ware

Also know as “Rogue Anti-Spyware” or “Rogue Anti-Virus”, rogues pretend to be security software. Often, fake warnings are used to make you purchase the security software, which the pirates profit from.

Ransom-ware

“Ransom” is just what you think it is. Ransom-ware will encrypt personal user data or block your entire PC. Once you have paid the “ransom” through an anonymous service, your PC will be unblocked.

Although there are different categories of malware but most of the malware today combines different kinds of malware to achieve a higher rate of infection and giving more control to the hacker. Most malwares are invisible that runs silently without your knowledge to avoid detection except for a ransomware and adware. It doesn’t mean that you’re safe if you don’t see it so it is important to run an anti-virus software from reputable brands such as Kaspersky, ESET, Avast, Avira, AVG, MSE together with a second opinion anti-malware such as HitmanPro, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware. As for Emsisoft Anti-Malware, it comes with its own Anti-Malware engine and Ikarus Anti-Virus Engine.

For me, I'm currently use Avast Internet Security and pretty damn good...hehehe

Dating Site eHarmony Hacked, 1.6 Million Password Stolen

After LinkedIn now cyber criminals targeted one of the famous dating site eHarmony and stolen more than 1.6 millions of passwords from the database. The authority has admitted that its password database has been compromised, with around 1.5 million hashed passwords being found in the wild. The leaked database that appeared in public contained unsalted MD5 hashed passwords and was reported to not contain any identifying user-names or email addresses. According to the sources all the password hashes has been
randomly submitted to some underground hacker's forum where a user asked for help in cracking the hashes. This help was collectively given by the forum members who were then reportedly given the LinkedIn hashed passwords to work on. After the primary investigation eHarmony confirmed that a small fraction of user database has been affected. And affected members password has already been reset. eHarmony did not give any details of how the passwords were leaked and says they will continuing to investigate what happened.

So, Ace nak gak menyebok wat 1 post mengenai ni. hehehe.Selepas "Duqu" kini The Iranian Computer Emergency Response Team (IRCert) mendakwa telah menemui Stuxnet baru yang disasarkan untuk menyerang sistem dalaman negara.Stuxnet yang baru dijumpai nie telah digelar Flame (juga dikenali sebagai Flamer atau Skywiper). Nama "Flamer" datang dari modul serangan,
yang terletak di pelbagai tempat dalam kod malware yang telah di decrypt. Sebenarnya malware ini adalah satu platform yang mampu menerima dan memasang pelbagai modul untuk matlamat yang berbeza. bile dah jumpa, korang install laa.. kejap jea, tapi siap install diye req untuk restart browser..Browser jea bukan g restart PC hangpa suma tau!!

Kalau korang daa siap install, korang akan nampak jelas gambar kat atas nieh~~

Very popular social networking site LinkedIn are currently running through a massive cyber attacks. It has been allegedly reported that more than six million passwords belonging to LinkedIn users have been compromised among them more than 300,000 passwords has already been cracked and published as plain text. A file containing 6,458,020 SHA-1 unsalted password hashes has been posted on the internet, and hackers
are working together to crack them.
LinkedIn has confirmed that it is investigating the incident. In the meantime, several reputable sources have said that they have found their LinkedIn passwords in that list; it can therefore be assumed that the social network's operator actually does have a problem.
Pages are already appearing on the internet that prompt you to enter your password to verify whether you are affected; these are phishing sites. It is also expected that there will be waves of spam email soon which will call for you to change your password with a link to a LinkedIn-impersonating phishing site. Instead of following these links, either enter the LinkedIn URL yourself (linkedin.com) or use a stored bookmark to visit the social network and change your password.

- english
+ bahasa melayu

1)
- u need to log in as admin.then go to Appearances setting.
+ anda perlu login sebagai admin. Kendian pergi ke setting Appearances.

2)
- u need a wordpress theme template in your pc or somewhere
- extract in your pc, then edit the index.php files with your shell code. as in my example,i'm using c99 shell
- then,after edited, compressed the template folder back in .zip file
+ anda perlu ada wordpress pny template.
+ extract dlm pc,kendian ubah fail index.php kepada shell code kita. dalam contoh ni,aku edit file index.php dgn shell c99
+ lepas abes edit, zip kan kembali folder td.

3)
- back to admin setting. browse for the .zip template,upload and then install it in the web.
+ kendian, upload ke web dan install ke dalamnya.

4)
- wait till it completely installed. then . ur shell is ready to rock.
