The Construction Industry Trust Fund (CITF) is a Joint Project between the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs and the Construction Industry of Botswana. It operates from an established Training Institution situated in Gaborone, Botswana. a) POSITION: SENIOR FACILITATOR - ELECTRICAL (Post tenable in Gaborone on two (2) years fixed contract)

Key Performance Areas

· Conducts training and assessments for electrical in the workshop, develop and update training programs materials, execute and control the sectional budget and business plan.

· Implements and maintains industry standards and acknowledge mastery of competency levels of trainees.

· Acts as a liaison person with the Construction Industry on issues relating to the training in the electrical trade.

· Prepares sectional reports, plans and orders material needed for the section.

· Maintains safety procedure within the workshop and on site.

· Supervises and manages the section.

· Advises, guides and counsels junior members of staff in the section.

· Provides data for daily, weekly and monthly training records.

Job Qualifications/Experience

· Advanced Certificate /Advanced Diploma in Electrical Installation from a recognized institution.

· At least 6 years site experience as an Artisan in the Electrical trade

· Mastered competencies at production performance level

· First Aid, Health and Safety Certificate Computer literacy

· Experience in Competency Based Modular Training methodology would be an added advantage.

· BOTA registered and accredited as a Trainer Technical Teacher / Trainer Certificate.

SALARY SCALE:

CITF Band 6 (P154 308.00 - P170 364.00) per annum depending on experience and qualification.

JOB ROLE

DUTIES

The duties of the successful candidate will include:

· Provision of leadership for the selling of banking, operations, and information technology strategic business objectives for the Society on an annual basis. Annual business objectives must be aligned to long term strategic goals.

· Coordinates the review of progress of the entire cooperate strategy and periodically reports to the Managing Director and the Board.

· Through the Head of Banking and the Head of Operations, provides overall oversight of all the business units within the front and back office of the institution ensuring that the back office delivers the efficiency necessary for high level of service in the front office.

· At least 8 years experience, a minimum of 5 at senior management level in a commercial bank. Must also have a strong financial background.

• Initiates. develops and monitors quality assurance programmes for the Public Relations and Media Sector including the setting of quality standards.

• Monitors and analyses news to identify major incidents. activities and advise the Director on the best way to tackle issues arising from the Media.

• Arranges Media briefings for the Director.

• Ensures that the quality of Government website pages meet international standards and portray the country favourable to the outside world.

• Liaises with Media Organisations in an effort to give full publicity to important events and functions in the Directorate.
