It's hard finding things to blog about unless you choose one topic. My mind is all over the place so, I think I'll just use this blog to do and say whatever I want. It's not like anyone is reading anyway. Today, I spent the day browsing the web. I found a lot of interesting facts, but how do I know that's what they are? When you search for information, most often times you get what you look for. But if your looking for ways to make extra money at home for your retired mother, that's another story. She's an ex home health aid and I was thinking of getting her some company she can look after them and get paid while she was at it, but that prospect seemed to complicated with licenses and zoning. So I thought, I'll look online for other options. There are so many prospects, but how do we know if they're legit. People say if they charge you to start, run! So what does that leave you with? Even the BBB is said to be a scam, a paid corporation that buries complaints. Who knows? I just think there should be some way to find legit online jobs. The trade commission I suppose? Well, I don't think my elderly mom wants to do something complicated at her age. Yet a child's brain can learn multiple languages at the age of one. We should not teach them to write at three( with pens, pencils etc.) yet it's a skill evaluated on a standard assessment for that age. We should not use the word "no" or any negative words, I guess so when they hear it as adults their whole world will be destroyed. We build children up in a world of puppy dogs and rainbows. We tell them that they can do anything they want. We of course try to make them feel safe, but what are we really saying?
When we refrain from using negative words. We remove those words from our children's vocabulary. When we tell them they can do what they want, it let's them down when the world tells them they can't. How will they learn to process the emotions that come with rejection when they have never experienced it. When a child is upset, we should not say " you're fine or you're ok." We should tell them that we see that they're upset and we would like to know why. I understand that we should allow children to verbalize emotions, but what's wrong with pointing out that, yes Jonny took your toy but you're ok and now that you know that it's not the end of the world we can now take steps to rectify the situation. I see both sides don't get me wrong, but if Jonny takes your toy and you mentally loose it and break down. How will you react 20 years from now when your wallet is stolen. Will you lock yourself in a room crying or will you realize that you're ok and begin the steps to rectify the situation. Like call the police. Cancel your cards. Change your locks. Whatever! You can't think clearly when you are hysterical. So what's the problem helping a child realize that so they can have that balls to say " yes, this is a bad situation, but I'm fine and now it's time to fix it. (just my opinion). It's hard sitting at a table with a bunch of masters and Phd's and express yourself. They tend to look at you like you're nothing. They say it with they're eyes and their tone as they politely say what you hear as "no, stupid!"
We should be helping children realize their full potential. Instead we tell them what their potential should be and hold them there. I feel sorry for all the three year olds out there showing signs that they are ready to read, but they can't learn because it's not age appropriate. Sounds twisted to me!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Wow! Although, games are fun to play occasionally. I think Facebook games are too addicting. I started playing the game @ 8 am it's now 3:08pm and I'm still playing. I'll probably be playing until I go to bed. After today I doubt if I'll play again, but today I plan on getting as far as I can. The truth behind why it's taking so long is the fact that you have to wait to replenish your energy or pay $2 for an instant boost. Why pay for something you can get for free just by waiting. It takes about 3 min to gain 1 energy point, so it's obvious why this game can have a person sitting in front of the computer for a while. Better yet, you can just turn it off and do something constructive. Not, today though I have to go as far as I can. I have to be the best. After that I'll get help for the OCD!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Oh so happy!

My friend is having a baby!
So happy!

Yea!
Loss for words!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
The incredible shrinking Farrah

As I mentioned before I wear a body magic body shaper every day. When I first starting wearing it I had to use an extention. I am sooo happy to say that not only do I not need an extention anymore, but I am able to close it using the last set of hooks. Go me! My back feels better and I'm able move freely while wearing it. I have heard alot of women saying they would wear it but they are having trouble using the restroom. Well, I can get in and out of the restroom in 2 min (yes I timed it) the trick is to hold and strech the back side to the front and while closing it keep streching it forward. That's what works for me. There's also a YouTube video on other ways to do this. I am loving my body shaper and I can't wait to get a smaller size. Guess what? that time is right around the corner because the one that I'm wearing now was oringinally to small for me and now it's feeling a little loose. So for any one who thinks yeah right!, get one and see! Then you'll know and you'll want to get healthy because that's what Ardyss does. It shows you what could be then gives you the tools to make it happen! Don't take my word for it, take yours!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Micheal Baisden Speaks about Ardyss International

Ardyss According To Micheal Baisden

www.ardysslife.com/justagirlygirl | MySpace Video

Ardyss Life & the Parties

Went to my first Ardyss party tonight. It was informative. There are so many benefits to joining Ardyss. The money is great, but I mean the products. I plan on getting a few myself. I'm using the le'vive and Ardyss Plus and I have to say that I'm feeling more alert and my alergies are under control and it's only my second day. I can't wait to try the memory charge, cause anyone who knows me knows I need it. Really need it! The AM/PM is for matabalism and Top Fiber is self explanitory. It's a good thing I'm a distributor cause I get them at whole sale. My head was getting foggy and concentration was difficult. I needed this break. I tend to let stress weigh me down until it manifests it self physically. Geared towards black people. I was excited, meeting people like me who wanted to promote themselves and their businesses.
I joined a few business groups and saw that they were all advertising their businesses and telling each other how to make money from home and other small business endeavours.
Well, I began telling them about Ardyss and how to join.
Well, would you believe they kicked me of the site for spaming. Wow! I was telling people in a business group about my business and I'm spaming.
What about the people asking for investments. People asking people to visit their sites. These were business groups, how is talking about your business spam.
After all that's what networking is all about, meeting people that can in some way help you along. Why meet people just for one night stands and sharing bumper stickers. Who want to farm a fake farm anyway.
There was a group about health that had people showing off their bodies and I get kicked off for inappropriate behavior.
All I was trying to do was tell people in a business forum about a business opportunity.
The way this planet works makes me want to get off!
Social networks are for hook-ups and passing the time. It's sad when you can't use these sites for what they were intended.

Thanks for your help!?!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
And the hits just keep on coming.

I got my "Box" from Ardyss. I ran to try on my new body magic and much to my chagrin I got the wrong size.
luckily I got the power pack so I had one in a bigger size, unlucky for me that was too small as well.
Didn't feel like exchanging it because I was just so excited to have it.
I look on my site and saw that they sold extensions. This was perfect! I only needed a little wiggle room so this was absolutely perfect.
In my "Box" I also got a bottle of le'vive which is a vitamin supplement (made with a blend of five antioxidant producing fruits) and Ardyss plus (good for allergies and asthma) I figure how can I sell a product that I haven't tried?
So, I plan on using them and I will let the world know just how Ardyss can change a persons life. I'm sure they wouldn't believe me even if I did.
My shoe size is an 8, but it wasn't always so. I was actually a 9 when I decided I wanted smaller feet.
"I know! sounds crazy,well I just may be" here's what I did:
I started wearing smaller shoes. An 8 1/2 until the shoes were broken in and comfortable, because for a while they weren't.
Then I went down another size to an 8, until they became comfortable and that's where I stayed.
With trying to loose weight, it just occurred to me that I can do the same thing with my body.
A friend of mine has been selling body shapers for a while.
She's been telling me about the benefits of wearing them and selling them, but I'm a skeptic by nature so I had to think about it.
well, after 3 months of thinking, I finally decided to do it. I bought into the company and now I'm waiting for my shipment of body shapers and vitamin suppliments.
I can't wait to try it! That doesn't mean I'll stop my Wii workouts, I'm just adding some support. Get it!
After I loose the weight I plan on recycling all my old clothes and getting a whole new wardrobe since I'll be able to afford it.
By the way, the company is called Ardyss international, if you have back pains, things you want to get rid of (extra weight) or if you have a financial crisis you can go to:

www.ardysslife.com/justagirlygirl

My number is on the site if you want to sign up to be a distributor!

Me cuter! I can't say she's doing drugs, can't say she's pregnant, can't even say she's out all night drinking, but it's the stupid little things she does. She runs up my long distance bill to $898.00.
She swears she's in love with a 20 yr old. She secretly talks to him on myspace after I forbad her to use the Internet. I even erased my wireless code from her computer. Yet she managed to sneakily reconnect. You ask her to do anything and she whines and complains. Yet she expects me to jump whenever she needs something. (no she's not my daughter, she's my niece) even thought I chose to help my sister by raising her I didn't ask for all this turmoil. If she could just try harder in school and use the good sense God gave her I would be able to breath. Just the other weekend I was planning to take another trip to Gainesville. Ironically she just had to go to a party (starts a 9pm). She swears shell be home at 10 or 11. With me overnight in Gainesville, I think not!!!! The worst part is... I had to bring her with me just to make sure she wouldn't sneak out. Where has all the trust gone? Not a child and not an adult, I remember it well, but I stayed focused on school not boys. I respected the fact that my mother was a single mother who worked hard to provide me and my sister with all the necessities in life and some time things that were not so necessary. Fun things! I stayed home and helped around the house because I wanted to help the mother that sacrificed so much for me, but I would never cause her to pay an almost $900 dollar phone bill. I could never be that careless or selfish. Teenagers today are all about material things. Me,me,me! Don't get me wrong I love her and she does help me with her brother (yes, I'm raising him too), but why can't she think before she acts.
"Hey, the lights are out and I smell gas. I'll light a candel so I can find my way around." Uh...No! More like BOOM! really is it so hard to just stop and think. All I ask is for some peace. To come home and not have to stress. Is that too much to ask?

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Lifetime Movie Dilemma

I was watching a movie on Lifetime. The idea was basically simple. A killer kills your daughter, he's been convicted and sentenced to death. While on death row he asks you to take custody of his daughter after he dies.
"What do you do?"
The victims's father was willing reason being he wanted to do the right thing for his daughter who would have wanted him to forgive. The mother felt that she would be betraying her daughters memory and trading one child for another. Personally, I couldn't see myself taking the child of the man who killed my daughter in cold blood in to my home or into my life. Maybe it's heartless, but looking at the child would be like reliving my daughters murder. So, what do you do? It's a personal question that I'm sure takes more than a few minutes to answer. But if it helps they took her in. They walked away from her fathers execution and into the sun set.
Talk about disturbing, but he did apologize and the mother forgave him right before he died.
It might have taken me a few more years, but I'd like to think that I could forgive him too. It took her 6.

"In the name of the people"
An LMN movie

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."

Gainesville Trip Cont...

During our trip to Gainesville, we also went to the...

Harn Museum of Art:

(pictures were taken, but due to copy right laws unable to display)

There were All types of mediums present. Doctors make more than RN's, RN's make more than CNA's, and CNA's make more than the janitorial staff. This hierarchy of education, status and pay is the the back bone of the American way, but does the American way make sense? I was told by one of my professors that the employers for the IT field will more likely hire someone with a certificate and experience over the person with just a degree. It made me wonder if that was true for other careers as well. The truth is " it depends". It depends on the company, the employer and their standards.
Example: You have a woman working for 20 yrs in a particular field. She has all her certifications and an exemplary working history. Then they tell her that if she doesn't get her degree by the end of the year she will be in jeopardy of loosing her job. Now, this woman has probably earned more hours then a degree requires but because they're not college credit hours they don't count. Now she has to retake these classes on her own time and probably spend her own money obtaining this degree. (some employers will pay educational expenses) Should their be some sort of exception made for people who have the education and have maintained on going training to obtain some sort of honorary degree. It's not like this woman wasn't keeping up with her state mandated trainings and doing everything else she needed to do, but now she has to make a choice, go back to school to learn what I already know or go back to school and do something else? Start at the bottom or stay where I am and maybe get a small pay increase? I can't I understand why it's easier to make life more difficult rather than working with people to make any transition smoother and less stressful for all involved. I know that education is important, especially for doctors and educators ect., however for those with trade jobs why make things so complicated. If a person has been doing a good job with no problems consistantly for years then why not let them transfer all that experience and training/certifications into and honorary degree. (which should be seen and treated as the real thing) Who's more qualified someone working in the field for years with no complaints, someone who has kept up with all the latest changes in their field and has been properly trained to handel those changes or someone fresh out of school with no experience, but has a literal working knowledge of their field. You decide !
Are You Getting Your Daily Dose of Politics?

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to politics and the government. I found it boring and irrelevant as a teenager. Vote or no, I didn't think we made a difference. I couldn't care less and actually went out of my way to avoid politics. I grew up and knew better. I vote now and try to keep up with goverment issues that affect me. I don't really watch the news but I always seem to know what's going on and I didn't really think much of it. Untill one day, I was walking along a distant shore (Iphone App) telling people about my blog when, I was asked to look at a book called "Homer Simpson Marches on Washington:Dissent Through American Popular Culture" I didn't get to read the entire book, but I'm going to the book store as soon as I can to get a copy. I read a few selections from the book and it made me think. I know now how I stayed in the know, TV. According to the editors Timothy M. Dale and Joseph J. Foy, popular culture plays a significant role in fostering a dialogue about important national views. Whether we're aware of it or not. Shows like the Simpsons, 24, South Park, the Boone Docks and Family Guy. Not to mention movies like Pelican Brief, Conspiracy Theory, Murder at 1600, Lord of War, Thank you for Smoking and even children's movies like Ferngully have some type of political undertone. I'm sure not many people are aware of the political undertones of most television programming and box office movies, but it seems to be a common practice.
I guess we have to think of theses shows and movies as an invisible gas seeping into the homes of millions, compelling those people to debate and question. Topics of misconduct in government, environmental issues and social commentary are being addressed in satire and artistically whimsical interpretations. Are we oblivious Or are we aware? Maybe we just watch and laugh not taking things too seriously, thinking of political comentary with out knowing it and voicing our opinions when necessary.

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
The Cost of Health

I was just thinking about my health and what it takes to become healthy. I read that diet is the number one cause of health issues. So what do we do? Duh! Eat some vegetables. Hmm, Is it really that easy? I tried shopping for healthy foods at our local health food store and I just about went broke. Why is it that the healthier the food the more expensive it is? If healthy foods were cheaper, more people would buy them. If more peple bought them, less people would have health issues, which would mean less wasted tax payer dollars. I guess the same could be said about things like medication and health insurance, but I'm talking about the cost of food!
I just think it's wrong to pay for less food at higher prices. I want a salad, for the price of a cheeseburger. Why should a salad cost $8.95 while a cheeseburger costs $3.29. That's the real reason for the nations obesity problem. Especially in a recession, what ever's cheapest...SOLD! Here's a challenge, try to see if you can shop for healthy food for the same budget. Something tells me the cabinets would be bare.
The cost for white bread is $0.89. The price for whole wheat is $2.09+. That makes no sense to me, even if there is reasonable explination I still think it sucks!
It's all converted to crap anyway why should one piece of crap cost more than the other?

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Family Guy

I watch Family Guy every night. I think it's extremely funny, but I suppose some of it can be considered crude. I think it's all in good fun, after all if you can't laugh at yourself... I'm sure there are people out there who take the show far to seriously. They're missing the point, It's the same with stand up. Some topics are considered ok, while others are taboo. It's meant to be funny. Yet, I'm sure there are people who complain about the influence the show has on children. Well considering how late the show comes on, I don't think that should even be an issue. I guess it's easier to blame cartoon network for their programming, rather than taking responsibility for raising our own children.
My favorite character is Stewie. He's cute and intelligent, he plots and plans, but never gets to far. He might be gay, but he's funny and his English accent is adorable. The show is refreshingly shocking. You never know what they'll say next. No one is safe from their brand of scrutiny. Especially celebrities, they even have Adam West playing himself. He obviously has no shame. Brian and Stewie are quite the musical pair I love listening to one of their duets. They compliment each other so well. I know I may be considered weird for liking this show(I'm not alone), but I think it's one of the best shows on TV.

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."

Free Stuff

A very good friend of mine signed me up to recieve free stuff from Wal-mart. It was like Christmas every week. I got things like sample size shampoo, deodorant, bodywash, and a few popular snack foods. Every week I would recieve a little blue box in the mail and I would just smile. I looked forward to every package and was greatful that my friend thought of me enough to do something that nice. We were so busy in our own lives that these samples made it feel like she was sort of visiting. Sounds corny I know, but that's how it felt. After, my friends life became a little bit more complicated, the samples stoped. I was ok with that, even though it was kind of sad. I knew she had things to deal with and I did as well since I just started school. I never did get the website for the samples, I would have loved to return the favor. It might have been the official site, but I havent even had the time to check. I once tried looking up free stuff online, but who knows which sites are legitimate and which are not. It's all a gamble these days and no one wants to be scamed. Anyways, there are a lot of free stuff out there, people should make it a point to try looking up a few sites. Who knows, it seems like it would be fun searching and recieving a bunch of free stuff. Emphasis on the word free.

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
$ Job opportunities $

A friend of mine gave me a copy of Small Business Opportunities "Start your own business" it's a magazine publication on different small business ideas. One of which is a mail order business which is said to be a very booming business, but as usual there are start up costs about $100 to start. You can use a few media options. These are print or electronic, things like catalogs, direct mail, electronic catalogs, websites, email, television, radio, magazines, news paper and more. The point is to ship orders made remotely, to the customers. What I don't get is "what are they selling?" I guess that part is up to the individual. I suppose the plan is to get merchandise from a wholesaler. There were also ads about owning your own candy machines. You would need to find an establishment that would allow you to keep these machines there. (hopefully for free) Also advertised was a pushcart businesses. I gues this would depend on what area you are in and what type of snacks or food would sell, The wheather would only be a factor if you planned on using your cart outside, but I think a better idea would be to have a mall location or at a flea market or something. all of these ideas sound lucrative, but complicated. I thought of selling Avon, even called a rep to sign up. She never called me back. There is so much I can do, but I think I'll finish school first then worry about that. I do eventually see myself owning my own business, but I need a little bit more planning, time and in a perfect world "Capital". Oh, to be financially secure and stress free! Here's hoping!

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
Happy Birthday

Today is my birthday, and all I wanted was some time off, so I can spend some time with my loved ones. What do I get early this morning...a phone call telling me that my co-workers are MIA. They new we were short handed and they know it's my birthday. Goes to show that life just sucks! It seems like I care too much when noone else cares at all. Every one lives their lives free from the burden of a contious, I wish I could do the same. Things would be easier no doubt, and if i hear how my reward is waiting in heaven one more time I'm going to scream! My dear friend (on the phone) wished me a happy birthday and told me not to worry and just enjoy my day. Easier said then done. I'm just a worrier, always have been hopefully I won't always, but only time will tell.
So today I have to gather information for the IRS because I'm being audited. I'm among some well know people such as Wesley Snipes, Willie Nelson, Nicholas Cage, and Ed Mcmann. Only difference is that I don't make enough to even matter, but I guess the recession is affecting everyone. I guess even the IRS is feeling the tightening of the proverbial belt. Well I'm almost done gathering my info hope it's what they need! Poor people being audited. Is it because they think we wouldn't or couldn't comply. Or maybe they think poor people go around claiming children willy nilly. Maybe they do but I don't. After this, I hope they know that I'm done jumping through their hoops.

"Always think outside the box, otherwise you'll get trapped inside."
