The decision is always a personal one, there are many reasons why parents choose homeschooling. "Homeschooling Secrets Revealed" is a new book that can help you decide if homeschooling is right for you. Here is a list of the Top 10 Reasons Why Parents Choose Homeschooling. Your reasons might be different, but hopefully this list will help you begin to determine if homeschooling is the answer for you.

1)Effectiveness
Homeschoolers often learn a speed that leaves students in private and public schools far behind. Because you will be able to choose a personalized path that works best for your children, you can custom-design a curriculum that works best for your kids’ learning styles and abilities.

2)Get a Jump on that College Degree
For homeschooled high school kids, homeschooling allows them to begin taking college courses early. Because homeschoolers often advance more quickly then their counterparts, they can take college courses in addition to their high school classes.

3)Self-Guided Study
Due to the nature of homeschooling, many kids become expert researchers. The homeschool learning environment which encourages natural curiosity and exploration often leads to highly advanced research skills in homeschooled students.

4)Field Trips
When your kids don’t see learning as only happening in a classroom every opportunity to get out and about in the world becomes an opportunity for learning. The entire world becomes their classroom and they are able to make real-world connections to their learning.

5)Work Experience
Because homeschooled high school students are more autonomous and mature more quickly than their counterparts, they often find better, more rewarding, and higher paying jobs than others their age. Parents can feel good knowing that their children are learning how to take responsibility.

6)Time Doesn’t Matter
Parents quickly learn that lessons can last as long or as short as necessary. Whereas children have to wait for everybody to get up to speed in classrooms, the homeschooled student doesn’t have to wait on anybody. So, if a lesson is learned, the student can move on or finish the school day early.

7)Family
Perhaps one of the most common reasons given for deciding to homeschool is the ability for families to remain close together as the children grow up. This is a powerful benefit of homeschooling that cannot be underestimated.

8)Money
Homeschooling is surprisingly inexpensive. Recent reports have shown that homeschooling can cost as little as $450/year per child. The savings benefits are enormous!

9)It’s Just Fun!
When you get down to it, homeschooling is just fun for parents and their children alike.

10)Love
You simply love your children and want to see them succeed and you’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen!

No matter what your reason, there’s just no better time to decide to start homeschooling. Have a positive attitude. Think, 'I can do my math and I can get a good grade in math.'

Pass these on to your high school math student:

1. Don't just aim for 70%. Aim high and shoot for 100%.

2. When doing your math homework, be neat. It does make a difference.

3. It's not just the answer that counts in math. Much of your grade is based on the intermediate steps in getting to the answer. So show all your work. Your objective should be to convince your teacher that you know how to do the problem.

4. It is important to read over the material in your math text book. Don't just focus on your homework problems.

5. Take notes from lectures, writing them neatly. When you study them, check points you need to review.

6. If you don't understand something, ask your teacher as soon as you can.

7. Watch for summaries within and at the end of assigned chapters.

8. Look for bold face and italic copy. They signify important points to remember.

9. If your homework assignments were just the even numbered questions, then do some of the others in reviewing for a test.

10. Keep up with your class on a daily basis. Try hard not to get behind.

Math Help Has Never Been This Entertaining

Do you have trouble with math? Do you feel anxious when taking math tests? Do you want to improve your math skills, but don't know where to do this? If any of these problems plague you then look to the Internet for extra help. There are several websites that provide information, lessons, tutors, and even games.

Let's start with basic online math games. Check out Aplusmath.com at http://www.aplusmath.com/games/. This website provides games that will test and help you practice your basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. You can play math bingo and hidden picture games. This is a great way to brush up on your basic arithmetic skills. Aplusmath.com also provides flashcards, worksheets, and a homework helper. Definitely try the homework helper. It allows you to input a math problem and helps you find the answer.

Once your basic math skills are mastered try your hand at critical thinking math games. A great website is Math.com.http://www.math.com/ can be your one stop shop for all your math needs. Math.com provides homework help, practice, tutors, calculators & tools, and math games. The last word, "games" probably peeked your interest. Yes, you can improve your math skills through games. Learning multiplication and logic skills doesn't always have to involve a textbook and a classroom.

You can work on your logic and planning skills when playing the game "Fiver". This game consists of a grid containing all white pieces. The goal is to change all the white pieces to black pieces. That sounds simple enough, but how does it improve my math skills? There are conditions that are imposed on you each time you change a white piece to a black piece. These conditions affect the color of the surrounding pieces. This is similar to the conditions or rules in math.

For example, when working with positive and negative numbers you have to follow specific rules when you add, subtract, multiply, and divide them. However, the puzzle takes it one step further in that you not only have to follow the rules, but plan ahead. Planning ahead and using logic is an example of higher level thinking. These critical thinking skills will help you in math, science, and business.

These are just two of hundreds of math websites to help get you started. Playing a math game is a learning experience. Math games supply the extra help needed for basic skills and extra challenge that will help you to improve your math skills.

Learn Math Online

This Math program features interactive e-learning tools to help you master the concepts of mathematics quickly and easily. Inspire
Some Children see math as nothing but symbols and numbers. Show them the importance of math in everyday life.

2. Get practical.
Take math outside of the classroom. Find something that interests the child and relate it to math.

3.One step at a time..
Math success involves breaking things down into pieces and take it a piece at a time.

4. Be Creative.
Children can become stuck if they view one way. Get them to think outside the box, viewing it from another angle.

5. Positive Reinforcement.
Keep away from the negative.
