A busy summer

2013-10-24T08:04:00.001-07:00

Been a busy summer watching grandkids.Their were mostly three of them. One girl age 9.Two boys ages 2 and 5.My wife had bought a yearly membership at the Cleveland zoo.It paid for it self as the many times we had gone.It is also good at other zoos. The highlight was the Dinosour Exhibit, which was animated. They even had one that sprayed water.

2011-09-18T17:37:00.000-07:00

If your a home owner, time to prepare for winter.
I find it best to make a check list.
Check and clean gutters
Have your furnace checked, changed the air filter
Add Sta Bil to your gasoline lawn equiptment.

Valentines Day

2011-02-12T02:15:00.000-08:00

Valentines Day will soon be here.
I have been married for a while to a wonderful woman.
At times I get caught up in the day to day,and don,t say the right things at the right time.
Thought I would take this time to write about Valentines Day.
Make an effort to do something special, flowers of course, perhaps a special card
and most important of all talk.

Dog treats

2011-02-09T09:23:00.000-08:00

Bought a bag of dog treats called JUST 6
The product was developed by the TV Food cook Rachael Ray.
The dog treat is named just 6 because it contains just 6 simple ingredients.
1 Rice flour
2 Rice bran
3 Chicken
4 Oat fiber
5 Olive Oil
6 Salt
My dog really likes them

Vacations sometimes the fun is in just getting there

2011-02-08T09:48:00.000-08:00

A few years ago my wife and I were on the way to Virginia Beach.
As we were driving my wife said “oh look theirs a sign that says Home of Tom Edison, did you want to stop.”I cheerfully said yes.
Tom Edison was an inventor who I had looked up to when I was a small boy.
Now suddnely we are about to see his home.
Which is located in Milan,Ohio
This is the link to the web site

Grounds in my coffee cup

2011-02-07T01:31:00.000-08:00

What a way to start the morning.Poured my coffee into the cup. There it was grounds in my cup. What to do.Grab a spoon to fish them out but that would not do.Saw an empty plastic pop bottle. So I cut off it off to make a funnel. Then I grabbed a clean coffee filter and placed it in the home made funnel. At last pure coffee.Life is good again.

winter months need humidifier

2011-01-28T08:57:00.000-08:00

Durning the winter it's a good idea to use a humdifier.
Ideally one on the furnace works best.
However if you dont want to go through that expense or if your renting, you might consider using a small medical one in the bedroom.
Really helps if you have sinus condition.

Find A way

2007-09-29T19:13:00.000-07:00

I begin my first post by writing about the site address
http://1001 steps4u.blogspot.com

The 1001 steps is a take off of a famous quote from Tom Edison.
When Tom was working on the electric light bulb.
He had a meeting with a newspaper reporter.
The reporter said why don't you give up,you already tried a 1001 things.
Edison replied I know a 1001 things that won't work, now I can go on to the next step
that might work.
All of us from time to time are faced with some issue.
Perhaps you feel you tried 1001 steps.
Now go try a new approach
