Only a few more days to get this kit at a LOW price before February comes out...and FYI...it's a cute one too.

WOWZA...December 15th was SERIOUSLY my last post!!

Where have I BEEN???

Well...that's a LONG story.

Life has taken me in a different direction as of lately and crafting has been bumped...just a little...just for a while. I love the hobby to much to walk away from it and luckily my design teams have been very understanding (even with my lack of communication).

WOW...it's been dead around here lately...sorry :(
When life decides to get overwhelming it gets difficult to keep up with the fun stuff like crafting. Luckily today is HIP HOP so I had a good excuse to come back and show off my latest creation. I made two of these cute little mittens for my kiddo's teachers. The inspiration came from {Melissa Sauls} blog. I had most everything I needed to make these and they were super simple once I got going.

For the sentiment I used the Christmas postage stamp from the Unity Kit of the Month
{Sept 2011 All Seasons}

Isn't it cute!!

It could easily hold a small gift or a gift card so that means it also qualifies for this month's

{Unity Challenge}.

Welcome Hip Hoppers!!

I ALMOST forgot about today's Hip Hop...luckily my project was done but I went to bed last night feeling like there was still something to do. I laid awake for two hours and nothing ever came to me...but this morning...EEKKKKK!!!

I've been getting busy with my NEW {SMAK kits}...tell me you have November's because it ROCKS!!

Happy Thanksgiving Friends!!!

I actually have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today

BUT

this is how lame I am....it's from LAST YEAR!!

I made it for someone who needed a few Thanksgiving cards and then never got around to showing it. It's been sitting on my computer for a whole year just waiting for today to be seen.

I made the Happy Thanksgiving part on my computer and printed it onto cardstock. The pumpkins are from a Verve set called {Tall Oaks}. It's an oldie but goodie clear back from when I was a guest designer. I colored the pumpkins with copics and fussy cut them.

The {November Kit of the Month} is officially my FAVORITE...

...at least until December's shows up but that means it has 16 more days to be my number one set ;)
I'm SUPER DUPER HEAD OVER HEELS in LOVE with this guy:

He's ADORABLE and super fun to color. I'm always on the lookout for fantastic snowmen images for the holiday's because I'm not a HUGE fan of Santa.

Hope he didn't hear me say that ;)

Snowmen are just so much cuter and I always get stuck coloring Santa's the way they are "supposed" to be colored. Not a lot of room for creativity.

This snowman's brother (well that's who I think he is) was used on this card and it's still one of my faves because of the color combo.

This is {ROLY POLY Winter JOY} and it's an itty bitty MUST HAVE!!

Back today with another {Rubbernecker} layout. Today's is NOTHING like {yesterday's}. Yesterday was vintage and messy and today's is clean and cute.

My style varies between the two and I'm okay with that. I really like elements of both layouts and like that they look so different. I HAD to go cute and fun for easter and the {Chick w/chicklettes} stamp was PERFECT for this layout.

I paper pieced the big one so that she would stand out...added some felt clouds using my {Taylored Cloud Duo die} and a few buttons filled up the space just fine.

A thickers title and I was all done. This layout was much quicker than the first one two since I wasn't stumped with all the layers. Not that there aren't plenty of layers on this one too...but these are clean and simple. Straight lines are easier for me.

I've been in a scrapbooking mood lately!!

I used LOTS of {Rubbernecker} on this layout.
I just love the {Butterflies are Free set} and couldn't resist using a few. My other favorite stamp is the {Rustic Cheesecloth background}. It adds such great texture to ANYTHING!!
Here are a few details shots:

I really LOVE the grouping here. I had a hard time trying to get things all layered just right but finally was really happy with the way things ended up. I still need to journal but honestly that is ALWAYS the hardest part for me. Don't tell...but sometimes I just skip it all together :)

I've been doing lots of cleaning lately...both my computer and craft room got some much needed love. Turns out I had a few cards photographed that I've never shown on my blog. I thought I would share this one using the {ippity} set {That's Creepy} for today's {Friends with Flair}

I'm not that into Halloween but I made this card for a publication call earlier this year. Obviously it wasn't picked up...and I even really liked this one...like LOTS!! I hate that...apparently I took it personal and shoved it away never to be seen again...jk! Anyway...I discovered it on my computer while I was organizing pics and thought I would share. It would have been PERFECT if I had found this like a week ago because I'm sure you are all dying to see Halloween cards in November right?!?

Welcome to this week's Hip Hop.

I'm busting out the Christmas cards lately...maybe it's the two snowstorms we've had here but I'm really looking forward to the holidays this year....already!!!

I used the NEW {Echo Park co-brand stamps} for today's card.

I LOVE these number banners and can see them on so many projects...the wheels are turning. This was a really simple layout and would be so quick and easy to reproduce for the bulk cards. I LOVE this Merry Christmas paper I get from Hobby Lobby...it's nice not to have to stamp a sentiment...saves lots of time.

I LOVE stamping when I make my cards...BUT every now and then I get a request for a card and I have NO STAMP to make it. My husband would probably INSIST that I do if I just look hard enough...and now that I'm typing this he might be right...gonna have to go check. Anyway...a lady wanted a birthday card for her son...the catch...she wanted it to say SON.

SO...I made a cool son background this morning in photoshop and made this card:

I'm pretty sure this covers it...right ;)
I wasn't sure where this idea was headed but I at least met the requirement. It took a while but with some fancy layering of my {Verve dies} and some texture plates I was satisfied with the end result.
Since I went to all the trouble of coming up with this background I thought I would share it here with you all today. Feel free to save it your computer and print away. I might have to come up with a few more of these...it was kind of fun :)

I decided to stamp the cute flower and instead of using the scallops as the topper for the clock...they looked like they would make some FUN & FUNKY corners!!

I made a fall card for today's hop using some flourishes, a background stamp and a few others...check it out!

First, I stamped the background stamp {Rustic Cheesecloth} in haystack ink. Then I added {flourishes} in raw sienna and burnt umber...I love the layered look of all these stamps :)

The flower is actually from a cute little flower scene stamp called {flowers w/butterfly} but I just cut off the one I wanted.

Since i'm in DESPERATE need of a TON of birthday cards right now I added the vertical sentiment and a little bit of twine.

Welcome to another Hip Hop!
My kids are all going crazy with the idea that Halloween is getting so close. Any day in October means close for them :) I on the other hand am not a huge halloween fan...I just don't get excited about it.

Anyway, I made this card using the
{Unity Itty Bitty Creepy Scary Spooky}

SUPER adorable right!!

I thought so...even though I don't like Halloween these little guys are cute...but I wanted to make it non-tradtional...I don't think it worked :(

I love the image I colored but the pale, pastel colors...seriously what was I thinking!!

I tried...but this really isn't my thing :)

Wow...two weeks since I've blogged...just call me a slacker :)
I was worried I wouldn't be able to make anything that I like for today's Hip Hop but some new {ippity} was just what I needed to get my mojo flowing.

I think I need to do some scrapping...this card REALLY makes me want to scrap. Maybe it's the scrappy layout...maybe it's the christmas theme but either way I miss scrapbooking.
Speaking of Christmas theme...have you checked out the Unity sales this week....YUMMY!!!!
