Spa Time!

2016-07-26T07:11:00.000+08:00

Hallo everyone!!!! It was October 2015 when I last wrote on my blog. That was what? Centuries ago. Gahhh! Sorry to be MIA these past few months but my day job has been keeping me busy. But hey, I'm here now! Just dropping by to show you how my lovely spa day went.

A couple of weeks ago, I got to experience an hour massage at Cozy Chemistry Dentaclinica and Spa Co. in Quezon City. If you're looking for an affordable massage with an amazing ambience then you should visit their spa now!

They have several rooms for you to choose from. They have rooms dedicated for the whole family, couples, and walk-in individuals. They will make sure to provide you the out most relaxing service you deserve.

Their one-hour massage comes with this cute and delicious milk tea to complete your one-of-kind spa day!

I took advantage of this time to take a souvenir out of this very relaxing spa. I feel like I'm in Thailand with this decoration. Don't you think? P.S. don't mind my flabs :(

These are some of the names of their rooms. From the names itself, you would get the feeling that you're leaving your stress behind.

The massage beds look and feel really comfortable. Plus, the aroma of the oil will add up to the zen your body needs.

This area is where the manicure, pedicure, foot spa, and hand spa happens. You'll have the cozy environment that they are very proud to offer.

They offer international and local nail polish brands. This means you have a wide variety of quality shades to choose from.

This is their setup for the very own foot spa. You can make sure that all those unwanted dry skin will be removed and you'll have your soft and supple feet again!

Luckily, I got the chance to meet the two young and vibrant owners of Cozy Chemistry Dentaclinica and Spa Co. when I visited their spa.

Initially in 2013, the name of the spa was ACG Dentaclinica & Spa Co and was owned by another family. In May of 2015, the lovely ladies on the above picture was able to acquire the spa and dental clinic. Now, they are continuing their journey in making sure we get to have our "me time" through their cozy spa.

The great thing about this spa is that it has partnered with a dental clinic. This is very unique that's why the owners felt like this is their selling point.

From the owners point of view, "They believed that being passionate about your work is vital, but it is, as equally as important for a person to have a haven to relax, unwind, rejuvenate and revitalize."

What are you waiting for? Book an appointment and get the massage you earn for working too hard.

Nippon Series: Nara, Japan

2015-10-12T20:47:00.000+08:00

Winter of February 2015 when I finally saw Nara, Japan. I didn't imagine there's a place so serene and civilized until I've visited Nara Prefecture. Did you know that it is the 1st permanent capital that was established in the year of 710? Whoa, right? I guess this is the reason why you'll really feel how their culture has evolved and has been kept. But personally, aside from the Big Buddha in one of the temples, I adore those deer that were roaming around tourist spots.

What to see here:

Todaiji Temple - huge temple where you'll see the Big Buddha
Omizutori - ceremonies of Buddhists that include water and fire
Horyuji Temple - the world's oldest wooden architecture
Isuien Garden - amazing and vast garden near Todaiji
Wakakusa Yamayaki - annual festival where the whole mountain is set to fire
Nara Park - large green park that has deer roaming around
Kasuga Taisha - peaceful and grand shinto shrine
Toshodaiji Temple - huge temple in Nara
Yakushiji Temple - wonderful temple in Nara
Shin-Yakushiji Temple - life size statues of 12 guardian deities
Heijo Palace / Nara Imperial Palace - old imperial palace of Nara
Kofukuji Temple - family temple of the Fujiwara Clan
Other tourist-y things to see here

If you're planning to visit Japan, make sure to add Nara on your list. It's one-of-a-kind and being a Filipino, we don't usually get to see deer roaming around a park. If it was in Manila or other parts of the Philippines, they might be gone or use for commercial purposes. You know what I mean right? Kung sa Pinas ito, wala na yang mga usa, binenta na yan at hindi naalagaan ng maayos.

What I wore:

Pink coat - Forever 21

Scarf - SM Department Store

Hoodie & Stockings - Terranova

Chuck Taylor - Converse

Bag - Myeongdong

Floral headpiece - Chatuchak

The Nippon Series - Kyoto Day 1

2015-09-28T14:52:00.000+08:00

Well hello there! It has been ages since I posted on my first love - my blog. I'm assuming you missed me. Yes? Even a little bit? I'm sure you do. Hahaha! I miss writing too. Sorry in advance as I was stuck in the real world pretending to be an ex-mermaid. What? Hiccups, yes but I'm definitely back to share my fashion, travel, food, and lifestyle happenings. Hope you're still here with me. Pretty please? :)

I'm sure looking at the photos you already know where I have been. This was February 2015, the week of my birthday, in fact Winter of this year. It's very obvious with the clothes I was wearing that it was frozen cold. But that didn't stop me from showing you what Kyoto can offer.

If you are a lover of culture, then Kyoto is the best place for you to see. This place was once the capital of Japan. You'll see hundreds of all sizes of Buddhist temples, lovely gardens, enormous imperial palaces, majestic Shinto shrines, and traditional wooden houses.

Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of the most breathtaking shinto shrines I've seen in Kyoto. It consists of numerous torii gates placed on top of a 233-meter sacred mountain called Mount Inari. This was built as a place of worship and respect where Japanese pray for good fortune.

If you're planning to go to Kyoto soon, this place is a must-see and experience. See more detailed information on the helpful links below:

How to get to Fushimi Inari

How to get to and around Kyoto

P.S. If you want to see the place in Winter of next year, make sure you're wearing comfortable and thick clothes for the temperature goes down up to -8 degrees celsius. For affordable, fashionable, and fits-the-weather clothes make sure to visit the Zalora Pop-Up Store now.

What I wore:

Scarf and Hat - Cotton On

Hippie Skirt - Forever 21

Manic Panic Hair Dye - Funkystreaks

Purse - Coach

Gahhh! I'm still overwhelmed that finally for the love of travel I saw this country! (insert party poppers and drum rolls please) If you're wondering where this is, the title says it all. :)

It's been a really hiccup preparing for the trip and for the visa application. I'm not sure if you guys know but the Chinese Embassy is very strict on the requirements they needed from foreigners especially to Filipinos. Too bad for us. :(

But after every effort comes the rainbow! This was my first ever Winter experience and I'll tell you it was freezing -8 degress celsius! I felt what frozen meat feels like. hahaha! As in sipon mode and naninigas na ung toes and fingers ko!

If you're planning to visit Mainland China and you have questions on where to visit or how to apply for the Chinese visa, feel free to comment below and I'll try my best to help you out.

I can't believe I survived this wondrous Mountain! Repeat to self, 100x! This trip was the longest I've ever experienced by land. Can you believe it was 12 hours?! Huwaaat! Yes, congrats to my ever dependable legs and my tummy that didn't fail me on those peak hours. Gaahh!!

My experience was really thrilling and over-the-top. For most of my friends who know me, I'm not a super nature geek or an adventurer that people expect me to be. But yeah, I'm definitely a nature lover who appreciates scenery. I'm in love with the cold and dreary weather that Sagada offers. Most especially, I'm happy with the restaurants/cafes that they have from right to left. You have a lot of choices when it comes to food and drinks. And they are best known for their yogurts and lemon pies.

If you're the hardcore mountaineer, this is your Mountain to conquer! I definitely suggest for you to visit Sagada ASAP. If you're an adrenaline junkie who loves caves, falls, mountains, and nature as a whole, Mt. Province is the best place for you to see.

Please note that there will be a lot of hiking/trekking so be sure to bring your comfortable shoes. Plus, it's several degrees lower here so you'll be happy to bring your sweaters and bootsies.

If you're wondering where we stayed, feel free to look for Sagada Homestay. They have the best view in town! I love their wood houses and their special bonfire hangout for guests.

Hooray for South Korea!

2014-08-18T20:43:00.000+08:00

I thought I could never visit this place, like never. But when you wish hard enough and you put everything in mind to make it happen, it does happen. I still can't believe I'm back in Manila! Those 7 days were my dreamland memories. It made me realize how behind our country is when it comes to technology, transportation, communication, etc.

What I love about Korea besides its fashion sense, is their weather. Currently, it's Summer in Seoul and the temperature runs from 19 degrees celcius to 25 degrees celcius. You'll feel the sun, but there is this cool breeze from the wind that makes it refreshing. I so wish we can have that kind of weather here in Manila! I guess that's the reason why Koreans have great skin. Hmph! So jealous!

Most of the photos were taken from the temples/palaces/villages we've visited. It was so amazing to look at them because their inside the busy city and they were able to preserve their culture and heritage. Most importantly in Korea, it's a safe place to travel and live. You don't have to check your bag/purse once in while to check if everything is still there. Thank God!

I'm so fulfilled and thankful that I was able to visit Seoul. It was worth the time, effort, and money. I'm definitely going back when it's Fall season!

Before all the excitement went through, yes, you're seeing it right! I'm a purple-headed Grimace! Hallo! What do you think about my new hair color? :)

Second Time Gets Better

2014-06-24T17:28:00.000+08:00

If you are wondering why my title is like that, it's because I've stayed in Marina Bay Sands twice already. (insert wink wink!!) Thanks to my super ever dependable BFF who makes everything happen. She lives and works in Singapore that is why I've been visiting this country a lot. Perks of having your BFF just 3 hours from Manila. Wiiiwwww! You'll see her on the next photos below.

Are you just proud of me? What can you say about my skateboarding skills? Haha! #Fail
It's not everyday you see a chubby girl riding a cruiser board in her summer dress!

I got my Z-Flex crusier board as a gift from my BFF and BF last Christmas. We bought it at Aloha Boardsports in Trinoma a few days before Christmas.

Say hi to my BFF, Khris! We are totally opposites. If I'm Blair, she's Serena. I love black and fierce outfits and she loves whites and dainty pieces. I'm the warfreak and she's the Ms. Congeniality. I love food and she can get away without eating for hours. I'm the straigh thair blonde and she's the curly brunette. I'm the craycray chubby girl and she's the funny simple chic. The list goes on and on but it's serendepity when we became super close friends, like sisters. Is it BFF day already? haha!

The view from MBS. You'll see the spectacular Gardens by the Bay. It was my first time to see this nature-loving park because at my two previous visit in SG, this place was not yet built. I was amazed of how it was put to life and how the plants and flowers were flown from different parts of the world just for you to see them.

This is how our room looks like from the inside. It's classic and crisp just the way I want it. However, my BFF didn't like it that much because it was smaller compared to the room we got before. Maybe because we checked-in a little bit late that's why all the bigger rooms were already taken. But overall, everything looks good. It was relaxing to just lay in bed and chitchat about our days adventure.

The best and thrilling part of the hotel is Marina Bay Sands Skypark! You'll really feel like a tourist when you are up there. It feels good to see the view of the city and the buildings surrounding SG. The infinity pool is just breath-taking. It makes me want to stare blankly towards the horizon and just wander my thoughts to happy endings. haha!

Hi from my BF's hairy legs and our boards! hihihi! If you are wondering who takes my photos, you probably know it's him. You can check out his amazing blog here and here.

It has been a lovely trip because I spent it with my favorite people in world. Plus, I was able to visit the cleanest and most disciplined country in Asia. If you need tips on cheap places to visit in Singapore or touristy place where you don't have to pay anything just feel free to comment below.

What I wore:

White sheer dress - Tomato

Nude flats - H&M Korea (pasalubong from Dean)

Nude Skull purse - Bugis Street, SG

Hallo!!!!! Do you still remember me? I hope so. :)

I'm still alive, kicking, and getting chubbier everyday. haha! I'm not sure if you follow my Facebook page but it has been ages since I have updated this one true love of mine, my blog. How are you? I really miss you, tons!

I don't know if you have noticed but my hair looks different now. I'm a walking corn girl! haha! I decided to do this a year ago for a change. I think it's kind of liberating to switch my hair color from brunette to blonde. What you think?

These photos where taken March 2014 in Legoland Malaysia. It was one of those hot and hellish days when I got to see what everyone was so thrilled about. Don't get your hopes up, for me it wasn't like what I was expecting when I visited this themepark. Maybe I was just expecting a lot, knowing it is Legoland.

Some of the rides were closed and no longer taken cared of. The 4D film theater turned out to be 3D because they had water shortage at the time of my film viewing. I really got devastated beause I love watching 4D films, it makes everything real and exciting. But I had no choice because of that incident, it was a bore. The place was huge and requires a lot of walking to go to the different rides. I understand that walking is inevitable when you go to theme parks. It is just that there were no roofs for shade on most of the pathways.

What I appreciate and like most in Legoland Malaysia is the lego-designed places to visit around the world. The artists were really talented and creative on how they built every little piece of the art. Plus, if I had the time and enough funds I would have swam at Legoland Water Park and stayed at their inviting Legoland Hotel. Maybe next time!

Heart's Desire

2014-02-03T14:00:00.000+08:00

I thought I can never go to this place.

I thought it was only in my dreams that I get to visit this magnificent wonder.

But if you dream right and think hard of your heart's desire, you will get it.

I got mine at Basco, Batanes.

Residence of the Kings of Siam

The Grand Palace is like Disneyland minus the rides and the fireworks. You'll see gold every where you look and every thing you see is just picture perfect. This place is one of the best tourist spots I've been to in Bangkok! For bloggers out there, this is an amazing location for your outfit posts, just make sure to wear appropriate clothes since they are very strict with their dress code. No sleeveless or shorts!

What I'm Wearing:

Gray Maxi dress - Cotton On

Detachable collar - Bugis Street

Spikey flats - Eastwood mall

Dream Dreams

2013-06-07T13:48:00.000+08:00

This dress was given to me by my bestfriend when she went home in the Philippines from SG. This dress looks so formal and put together that is why I wore it in a very casual and comfortable look. Since this trip had so much walking, I made sure that I brought my favorite sneakers. My black low cut chucks has been my go to footwear since I discovered traveling. To make the look more fun, I "excessorize" by wearing 3 different necklaces from Claire's and Forever21. P.S. I especially adore my OMG pendant!

Discover amazing structures in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya or commonly known as Ayutthaya with these photos. Don't forget to bring your sunblock and umbrella when you visit this place because the temperature is hotter than Bangkok / Manila.

Bird Watching

2013-06-05T13:27:00.000+08:00

These photos were taken late afternoon on the way to Chatuchak Park. I didn't realize that people would really sit / lay down on the grass and just hang out. You can even rent mats so you can cozily rest and just spend lazy time with your friends or a special someone. There were even other people having their picnics and just enjoying the view of the lake. You can also buy bird food for 10baht if you like to feed the birds.

I chose to wear this ombre shorts and white tank top because of the very comfortable and breezy feel it gives me. As you know, the temperature in Thailand is the same as the heat in our country. I needed to make sure I was wearing comfortable clothes because of this shopping day. If you decide to visit Chatuchak, you need to you save your weekend only for shopping. This market is only open every weekends. If you are a cheapstake like me, you are definitely going to love this place!

I understand how a very bad and lazy blogger I am. I want you guys to know that I always make up for those months I'm MIA. I hope you like how these photos came up. Minus my chubbiness everything looks great. Yay!

This is an overdue post that you should have seen weeks ago. I know that I am a lousy / lazy blogger and you hate me. I'm trying very hard to update this blog as much as I can, for the love of fashion!

These photos were taken in April, holy week to be exact in this wonderful and quiet beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan. It was my first time to visit this province and I'm glad I did! They have beautiful white sand beaches that you'll love. It was a 6 to 8-hour drive from Manila. It depends on how many stopovers you go through. I didn't have to worry about the long drive because I was asleep most of the hours. :)

We have a month more of Summer time! What beaches have you visited already?

Like Crazy

2013-02-25T12:24:00.002+08:00

These photos were taken one lazy Saturday at Spaceman's humble abode. This was the day we just hang out and watched 2 and a half films then accompanied by never ending pig out time. Oh plus, biking mode around the village too! I had to stretch my legs like clay because I used his bike and I can't reach the floor / cement. It gave me the queasy feeling of falling face down the street!

What we watched:

1. Sinister - I don't know but we got bored. Insidious was way better!

2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Yes, I've read the book and I didn't watch it in a theater because it is not movie material. Lo and behold, I was able to see it in film. Do these lines ring a bell?

We are infinite.

We accept the love we think we deserve.

3. Like Crazy - YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS! Yes, I just bossed you around. This film broke my heart into pieces and I dare you to watch it. Love and patience, come to those who are strong.

I'm ending this post with my favorite line that Anna said from the film:

25 Months

2013-02-06T04:42:00.001+08:00

You might be wondering why my title is that way. No and Yes! You have to guess for a little while.

Since it is the love month, I am allowed to be cheesy to my readers. I think you already got it! Yes, my Spaceman just sent this to me. We haven't seen each for a few days now because of his new work and my zombie shift. But yes, it is our 25th monthsary, and this is his way of reminding me how much he cares about me. (Yay or Nay?) He said I am his Beautiful Mess. Jezzz! I don't even know what that means! (well yeah, he told me but I wouldn't publicly retell that to you guys) TMI, I guess!

Most of the time we argue and fight, but at the end of the day we still look for each other's arms.

Where's My Coffee?

2013-01-22T00:58:00.002+08:00

Good morning face on these photos! #Fail You might see how my eyebags are screaming (You have to sleep!!!) Also, I constantly need to remind myself to always protect my lips with the ever dependable ChapStick. These photos were taken after breakfast in the Filipino / Spanish restaurant at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. You'll see some of my previous 2 posts taken in the same location here and here.

I don't know how many times I have already told you how picture perfect this place is. I hope you guys get a chance to visit Las Casas and take your outfit posts to this historic location. I feel like no matter what you're wearing when you are here it will automatically look amazing on print. I didn't bring much blog-worthy outfits (as you probably already thought about that). I opted to wear comfortable clothes that weekend that's why you'll not see me on my usual excessorized self.

What I Wore:

Leopard top - Cotton On, SG

Black shorts - EGD

Brown sandals - Cotton On, SG

Well hello there! I'm trying my very best to keep you updated through this blog. I know you are getting restless (for those readers who I still have) Huhu! I'm currently working zombie mode than usual. If you read my previous blog, you know that I have been to this wonderful place just 3 hours from Manila. I'm posting series of what I wore to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. I hope you get the same feeling as I was when I went to this place just by looking at the structures of these buildings.

I might not be the oh-so-skinny-blogger that most of you look at or follow. But I'm here loving fashion and sharing my thoughts on how we can all be confident and accept God's gift to us. I always believe that we can be whoever we want to be as long as we are happy.

I'm starting to get all serious up there! Shezzz! I hope you like the photos as much as I do. I will surely post more as soon as I can. Keep loving fashion!

Go Back To The Beginning

2013-01-11T09:16:00.000+08:00

Hello lovely readers! (if I still have some) Yay!

You might be wondering where this place is right? I would tell you in a short while. Maybe some of you have already been here but for those who haven't let us surprise them a bit. When I got to the place I thought I was zoomed out in a different era where everything should be in sepia print. The structures of the buildings are just so postcard material. What I love about the resort is their staff, because they make you feel at home.Amidst, all the era memoir moments, my favorite is their batis-inspired swimming pool.

Where am I in these photos? These amazing shots were taken in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan. I should have seen your face when you read that! Wink! The travel time from Manila to Bataan is around 2 to 3 hours depending on the traffic and your mode of transportation.

As most of you know, my boyfriend and I are travel maniacs. We mostly spend our salaries visiting places we've never been to. Other than food and shoes, traveling is one thing that makes our relationship magical and everlasting. (Cheesy mode off, hahaha!)

P.S. If you want to ask anything about this place or anything about this blog, just comment below and I will gladly answer them as soon as I can. ♥

What I'm Wearing:

Lacey shorts - New Town Hall, HK

Black corset - Bazaar

Studded creepers - Shoe Cabin

Plus, the breeze of the wind is the most exciting and relaxing part. What I like about riding a bike is that you get the exercise you need without spending a dime.

My bike shows how vibrant, stubborn, and flexible my personality is. I'm sure Dolly and I will be spending a lot of time visiting places for the next few weeks. I'm just one happy creature! Wiiiii!!

Hello Sunny November!

I don't know how to tell you how happy I am to finally write to this blog again! I'm hoping I still have a few readers. huhu! I miss blogging like a 1-year old crying to drink her milk. MIA, but I'm still here!

I hope you read my disclaimer above. I don't have to explain to you how a carbohydrate fan I am. So there goes my chubby beach physique. I hope you still continue to read my blog. Please :)

This beautiful beach in Coron, Palawan made me forget about Boracay. It was a thousand times better than Aklan's beaches. You have to see this place! If you are planning for a Summer trip next year, you guys should visit Coron. They have to-die-for virgin beaches, amazing corals, and overwhelming school of fish. If given the time, I would post those photos. Above all, it was not crowded. You have all the space you have for blog photos. Haha! ♥

Coron changed me. It made me see the adventurous part of me. I learned snorkeling in a blink of an eye, and I forgot reality just by seeing those school of fish that I want to take home! Hahah! Colorful and so alive, what more can I ask for!

Indeed, a paraiso.

Good afternoon ladies! How's your super sunny Monday? I can even see the sun glaring from the window. Good thing the A/C here is on full blast! My jacket keeps me warm - Thank God!

I'm just sharing this quick photo shoot we did Saturday! This was not planned at all. If I knew that we were taking photos for my blog, I wouldn't be wearing this simple and relax outfit. I usually wear something comfy whenever we have lazy dates like this. Great thing was, his backyard was the best background that day! Plus, we still had the sun to accompany us in taking lovely outfit shots!

I hope you guys are having a great start of the week! Mine usually starts with workload but I usually bring sweet bites to keep me up until overtime! Yes, I always render OT! Being a full time writer is my day job and it requests a lot of my time. I am usually drenched with stress but I'm still thankful that I have a job that keeps me sane and insane! haha! ♥

Well, hello there! Do you still remember me? ☺ I hope so.. It's 3:00 am Manila time as I am writing this and I'm still wide awake working my ass off. I promised you guys that I'll try my very best to keep up with blogging but my day job is killing me nuts with all the overtime shezzz! Anyways, so much about those negative vibes this early. Hi readers and lovers of art! I hope you are still there for me. ☺

I wore this cute dress when we visited MANILART in SM Mall of Asia. This was my second time to see those remarkable paintings. Indeed, Filipino art and culture are one of the few reasons why I'm still here working locally.

Yes, you are seeing my bangs again! I feel like I look younger when I sport my hair like this. (Feelerette lang!) The truth is, it is so difficult to manage full bangs. You have to regularly trim it because once it grows even a few centimeters your sight will definitely be affected! So if I am at home or just working in front of the PC, I have my hair up or my headband on just to keep it away from my face. Talk about tiis ganda!

Don't you see anything different from my photos? Yes, my photographer (my fluffy and snobbish boyfriend) is trying different styles just to entertain you guys! Now, he is loving the vintage look - all from the past dreamy photos look. How I wish I get to find clothes to fit the scene and a forest background just to make it more vintage and scary!

Sorry guys for being so talkative this time of the day, I just want to say that I really miss doing this! If I have enough time to squeeze outfit shots for you guys I would, but I am juggling my schedule with my full-time work, freelance writing, and blogging. ♥

Just remember to smile and wear what you feel like wearing. Nowadays, fashion is how confident you are with whatever you are wearing. Can you imagine that print on print is glam as long as you can bring it!

P.S. Good morning! Can't wait for Saturday, I will be watching my favorites shows: Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, and 90210!
