Unlike most other parasites, Anchor Worm is not related to stress. Anchor Worm is highly contaigious, so the entire tank needs to be treated, not just the fish.

Anchor worm can be intoduced from a newly arriving fish, or as an egg on a plant.

Diagnose

Anchor worm is very visable, so there is no need for a microscope to diagnos the parasite. Anchor Worm, unlike fish lice, does not move around the body of the fish. Fish will flash and scratch when the anchor worm is still in the larvae stage as the parasite has already attached to the fish's body, this will continue in the adult phase.

Treatment

Steps for Treatment:

Remove anchor worm with tweezers

Single application of iodine, or hydrogen peroxide, to the spot of worm with a cotton swab.

Daily applications of neosporin cream.

If the Anchor worm is found on a newly aquired fish that has not been introduced to the community this is probably all that needs to be done. However, if the entire tank is infected additional measures need to be taken. Medications like Dimillin, or Program, might be necessary. Some products, including Anchors Away can be used as Dimillin, or Diflubenzoron, is the main ingredient. Like most things, salt can be a great help also.

Remember that although the visible anchor worm may have been removed, it is most likely that there are larvae still present in the tank. Even before the anchor worm can be seen, damage to the gills and skin of the fish can occur.

From: http://www.desktopgoldfish.com/goldfish-diseases.php?disease=Anchor%20Worm

Diseases in Goldfish can be common, contageous to other goldfish, and sometimes fatal. If the goldfish disease symptoms are seen early, and the correct goldfish disease treatment can be given quickly, most goldfish make a complete recover. Goldfish diseases diagnosis is an important part of the overall goldfish care. If you can't make a disease diagnosis see your local vert, or pet store.

While goldfish don't give disease to humans, like every other organism, goldfish can aquire them. Goldfish diseases cut short many goldfish lives because the owners did not know enough about goldfish diseases, how to diagnos these goldfish diseases, and finally how to deal with the goldfish disease treatment.

Please choose from the following Goldfish Diseases.

From: http://www.desktopgoldfish.com/goldfish-diseases.php?disease

How to look after goldfish?

How to look after goldfish healthy in an aquarium? When an excess of food is offered, they will produce more waste and feces, partly due to incomplete digestion of protein. Overfed fish can sometimes be recognized by feces trailing from their cloaca. Goldfish need only be fed as much food as they can consume in one to two minutes, and no more than three times a day. Contrary to some common belief, extreme overfeeding will not increase the size of the fish but can actually be fatal, typically by bursting of the intestines. This happens most often with selectively bred goldfish, which have a convoluted intestinal tract as opposed to a straight one in common goldfish. Novice fishkeepers who have newly purchased ryukin, fantail, oranda, lionhead or other fancy goldfish will need to watch their fish carefully for a few days, as it is important to know how much the goldfish will eat in a couple minutes of time.

Goldfish food has a lower protein and higher carbohydrate content than conventional fish food. It is sold in two consistencies - flakes that float at the top of the aquarium, and pellets that sink slowly to the bottom.

Goldfish enthusiasts will supplement this diet with shelled peas (with outer skins removed), blanched green leafy vegetables, and live food such as daphnia and bloodworms. Young goldfish also benefit from the addition of brine shrimp to their diet. As with all animals, individual goldfish will display varied food preferences. In any case, it is better to feed them a variety of foods listed above.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldfish

Goldfish

Chinese classification

By Chinese tradition, goldfish are classified into five main types:

Dragon eye - Goldfish with extended eyes, e.g. Black Moor, Bubble Eye, and telescope eye

Egg - goldfish without a dorsal fin. e.g. lionhead (note that a bubble eye without a dorsal fin belongs to this group)

Wen - goldfish with dorsal fin and a fancy tail. e.g., veiltail ("wen" is also the name of the characteristic headgrowth on such strains as oranda and lionhead)

Ce (may also be called "grass") - goldfish without anything fancy. This is the type that is usually used in Japanese carnivals, especially for "goldfish scoops."

Jikin and wakin - goldfish with double tails, but with the body shapes of comets.

These classifications are not commonly used in countries outside of East Asia

From :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goldfish

Photo from: http://dslr.sony.co.th/bookyui/gallery/view/280
