I illustrated/designed this book written by Najla Jreissati Khoury published by Asala publishers - in collaboration with Assabil.

The book takes the reader on a journey from Aisha Bakkar to Ashrafieh, exposing the many types of trees on the way, written in classical and vernacular arabic, with stories, historical facts, proverbs, scientific information, illustrations, photographs, verbal games for kids... If you want to learn more about the trees of Beirut, it's a very light, funny and informative book to have.

Living in Beirut, i suffer from the noise pollution, cars honking all the time, the traffic, the construction sites... a noisy city!

and i often feel like screaming "can't we just have one moment of silence!"

It's a habit for people to honk all the time,

but i guess we have to be more patient with each other and breathe from time to time... and just relax
