Obama's Costliest Visit to India!

2010-11-04T23:55:00.000+05:30

US President Mr.Barack Obama's visit to India would be one of the costliest visit so far in history. Can you believe a whopping amount of about 900 crore Indian rupees which is nothing but 200 million US $is to be spent by US for Obama's stay and security in India.Since Obama's stay is planned in Mumbai-where the most popular terrorist attack took place 2 years ago, more security precautions are being taken to make the whole trip a safe and a memorable one.

Some of the spending facts are:

1. Presidents stay is planned in Taj Hotels where whole of 570 rooms are booked in advance by US team for security purpose.

2. Most Security personnels have already arrived in Mumbai for inspections.

3.Its also noted that 0.5-1 hour before the Presidents aircraft lands there will be closure of city's airspace.

4.Inter State police and Indian Navy are on high vigilance patrolling the seas to make sure everything goes fine.

5.The place from Taj hotels till colaba will be completely guarded for security reasons.

all these and many more for an amount of US 200$ million. Is it worth a visit? Only time will tell!

Happy and safe Diwali Readers!

I would say guys, taking a risk in your 20s for your career is at most important one. Think what you like and try grabbing an opportunity on that. That will bring you a “Take Diversion” in your life.

Traffic in Chennai

2010-11-01T18:56:00.000+05:30

In the past few years I see traffic is getting increased a lot, despite of many flyovers built in place. This post was not written to bring controversies or I am not going to blame any government or an individual here. I somehow believe that accidents are self controlled ones. The cautious driver will never lose his control. When you happen to get a chance, Please see Chennai traffic police website for the statistics of accidents. It’s increasing every year

How about a thought of an individual that I will never break traffic rules that, I will stop when yellow signal asks to stop! Hold on there :-)

Usage of indicators, head lights switched on when needed, helmets not in our petrol
tanks :-) rather we wear, drive always in straight lines instead of sudden lefts and rights, Avoiding Drink and drives, etc

Let’s think if the whole Chennai follows the rules for one day, I am just wondering how much of accidents might get reduced.

I am giving this picture below to think why not the same driving method every individual follow here in India

I think the government and traffic personnel are doing their best. From our side let’s follow the rules as much as possible. lets make our country better. Happy Driving!

2010-10-21T22:48:00.000+05:30

There is a sudden increase in haze in Singapore today since it hit the country last Saturday. This is due to the SouthWest winds that blows the smokes from the fires in the Sumatra Island.NEA-National Environment Agency said that the PSI-Pollution Standard Index is increasing steadily and it has reached above the standard mark.It is noted that the PSI in Singapore has reached the 84 mark which is considered bad by the NEA.The Satellites have detected more than 100 hotspots in the sumatra region.Due to this haze the most popular landmark of Singapore-"The Flyer" is almost covered and the city looks misty as though its a snowy region which its actually not.

Angry Birds Crossed 1 Million Downloads in a day!!

2010-10-18T23:04:00.000+05:30

"Angry Birds" is a video game more like a puzzle which is developed by a developer named Rovio based in Finland. This is the most sought after and has become the most popular video games in all smartPhones like iphones, Android and other touchscreen based mobiles.

Ever since Rovio released the beta version of Angry Birds on Android its popularity grew big time and when everyone was expecting that Rovio would release the full version of Rovio FREE on Android, there came a twist in the tale.

Rovio ditched Android and made the full version of "Angry Birds" downloadable for free through 'GetJar'.All Angry Birds devoted players hit GetJar to download the free version. But unfortunately many of the users were disappointed as the website went down because of the load.It had hit 1 Million downloads in the first day of its release, which made it the most popular mobile games so far.Rovio has also tweeted that the numbers just went upto Two million after its first day release.Wow! Now that's what I call a craze for a game.

Windows 7 Mobile is here!

2010-10-17T10:29:00.000+05:30

Microsoft(MS) has finally unveiled the new set of mobile phones with Windows 7 OS after the debacle of Windows 6.5 Mobile Phones.MS is planning to launch its brand new phones on October 21st in UK.There are lots of smart features in it but it lacks a major feature which MS users like you and me will be missing for sure.Let's explore more.

Address Book:
Apart from the regular address book there is people hub where you can search for your friends and directions to their place through facebook and windows live feed.A special ME card in the phone allows you to change the profile picture or status in one shot to all the social networking sites.

E-Mail
Outlook! yes,the best email management tool is here and all the basic functionalities that you experience in web is here in this mobile too.

Internet Explorer
The latest IE allows you to browse web pages and also opens as many as six tabs. You can now scroll with a flick of your finger and zoom in and out with a finger pinch ;) Now that's really cool!

Search and Maps
Bing! helps you out in your search and also provides maps to find out the directions quickly and saves lot of your time.

Games Hub
You can enjoy with some nice cool games provided in the mobile or if you are a gamer then this won't disappoint you - You can use the latest XBOX LIVE service!!!

Office Hub
This feature is definitely a plus as it offers a wide range of windows feature like MS word, Excel, powerpoint etc etc But a major miss here is that it does not provide the cut and paste facility :( Even,Flash player is missing. But windows has planned to release these features in the next update which would take a year. So,it may be a worth for guys who use documents profusely to hold back till the updated version has arrived.

AT&T and T-mobile in US are the service providers for windows mobile and this one is surely for MS fans!
Happy Reading!!

Will it succeed or not, only time can tell!!
