2012! Awesome year for the release of our first varsity jacket, which was originally limited to Team Ten members. A few modifications have been made, a circle patch on the shoulder and a TROO Insignia embroidered on the chest. Two versions are now in sampling, a full cotton/polyester style and a genuine leather sleeve / wool vest style.

For those of you looking for vintage and are still into owning some Wu Wear of your own, here's a past gem of a release that had its roots from Japanese Souvenir jackets. A cross between Applebum and Wu-Tang, this exclusive fully satin jacket has extremely fine embroidery of its 'Sukajan' theme across the front and back. Hunting down this retro madness will most likely find you clawing at the forums, but finding a price that won't destroy your bank account is another story.

Yesterday, a TROO staff member was signing the packaging of a logo tee when she noticed the invoice software had counted the total tees sold to 999. She wondered what happened to the last 9 celebrations. The TROO-th is, every tee shipped is itself a celebration. An ode to the TROO dreamchaser that finds common ground with us. No matter what, every tee shipped is wrapped individually and creatively by a staff member, with no package ever the same.

Some may have found special thank you notes or promotional coupons to be used on our future products, others little scraps of artwork on index cards. Every tee is brought to personal attention.

However, with the thousandth tee shipped, we couldn't help but to tribute a brand new edition of the Logo tee to its happening. The TROO DripMixt tee is screened by droplets of different colored ink, and so far we have black/red, blue/red colorways. The actual screening process can be seen in our upcoming TROO Documentary 2012.

Until then, stay TROO!

This year's Swimsuit Edition features Kate Upton and all her lovely skin on the cover, a preface to the 15+ other exotic beauties that show their graces in this popular annual issue. What's new this time around is that the magazine has expanded functionality to iPhone and iPad apps, allowing a bikini-surveyor to develop more of an intimate infatuation with the goddesses by simply holding the iPhone over her image. At that point, a video of the respective model's photoshoot will play on the iPhone. The Lin-sanity craze has gotten a hold of a massive new pool of followers extending the Knicks circle, for his amazing performance in recent games. Internet memes are popping up, merchandise with his name and face selling out (picture his own line of Nikes, word?!), upping boards with:

From a general perspective, his capability to make history on the court may come from standing out of long-held stereotypes. The original TROO Word Bubble logo was designed in 2007 to push out our theme of staying TROO, in a clean and crisp fashion.

The logo would later find a comfortable place hovering over the heads of many TROO models, fellow dreamchasers, and just about anyone who we thought would look good giving a shout out to TROO.

The unique geometrical design matured from our original Winged logo in 2006, also known as the '99 logo' for the O's looking like two nines (our typography was still in its early stages).

Samantha Garvey: Homeless Teen Honored As Future Finalist in Intel Science Search

In December, the Garvey family was evicted from their house from financial issues after a serious car accident. The family moved into a homeless shelter in Bay Shore two weeks ago.

One of its members, Samantha Garvey, is a Brentwood High School senior given the title as one of the top ranking competitors in the Intel Science Search. At 17, this recent award has motivated her to strive for admission into Brown University against financial odds. Her study focused on predator-prey relationships regarding mussels with sampling methods from a Long Island salt marsh.

She plans to become a marine biologist as an adult and hopes to score the competition's prize of $100,000 for her educational future.
