This was a really great read. I enjoyed how lighthearted and fun this book was. The story is about two main characters Nora and Will who have a very brief meeting when they are young and are re united by chance 16 years later. At the heart of the story is the apartment building that brings them together and all the fun characters who live there. I loved how the apartment building was woven into the story and it was a really fresh and fun perspective to add to a romance novel. All the characters were really likeable and you just wanted to root for everyone in the story. Thanks to Kensington Books and SheSpeaks for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Plot: A scorned ex-wife seeks to ruin her ex-husbands wedding to his new wife. Is the ex-wife just biter and jealous or is there more hiding beneath the surface to her compulsive behavior.

My Review: This is the second book I read from Greer and Hendricks. Usually when I read a book I really enjoy I like to read another from the same author. I found this at the library and decided to give it a read. It's really hard to describe the plot and what I liked since there are so many twists and turns I do not want to give away any surprises or details. There were quite a few times where I was shocked at what the reality was since I was expecting something completely different. The main character Vanessa is who the story centers around. There were many times in the story I went from liking her to disliking her and in between. That seemed to happen with a couple other characters as well. This shows how many different twists there are in the story.I really like that I had no idea how this story was going to turn out. In the beginning I was thinking it was going a completely different direction so I was very pleased with the surprise ending.

Masks are probably my favorite skincare product 🙌 I try to find unique masks to mix up my routine. I tried out the Vela Contour Revital Chin Mask and Cream. I was sent a free refill pack of masks and a free tube of the after mask neck cream. I like that it is a two step process and it is very effective. I was impressed with the results of using my first mask and cream combo. The mask is made to tone,tighten, and shape the chin and neck area. You leave the mask on for 45 minutes and then apply the cream after. The mask had a little trouble staying on so make sure you lay down when using this or have something to hold the mask up. Frankincense is probably one of my favorite essential oils. Frankincense comes from the Boswellia tree. The current Frankincense oil I am using is from Prime Natural and is from the Boswellia Serrata tree. Lately, I’ve been really focusing on my health. Stress has been a factor, and it led to some unexpected weight loss, which actually helped reset my eating habits. I’m seeing it as a fresh start for getting back into shape and making healthier choices.

An Anonymous Girl was a suspenseful and intriguing read to me. The book grabbed my attention from the start. I liked how quickly I was able to relate and get connected to the two main characters. Jessica and Dr. Sheilds are both strong female characters that I found fascinating. Jessica is really like able and I really like how in the end she got confidence and felt the whole experience made her a better and stronger person. Dr Sheilds was a great character who seemed to have it all except the one and only thing she wanted. She was my favorite character overall and it was interesting to slowly learn about her and her true intentions. She was someone who was very cunning yet intelligent and captivating. The story had a lot of twists that kept me guessing what the truth really was. In the ending I was right about one of my theory of what happened but I was surprised at the emotion and intent of the ending. It put a lot into perspective of different happenings in the story and was a really great ending that wrapped up the story well.

The book is actually written by two writers which I thought was cool and I could read books from them in the future as well.

Our House was a really suspenseful book that kept shocking me with turn of events.

Our House is about a married couple who are separating. The wife (Fi) catches her husband (Bram) cheating on her and decides the marriage is over. Fi and Bram are really well developed characters and you really get to know their personalities and really helps understand the actions each one of them does. Bram is a hard character to like but in the end I actually felt bad for him and realized that he was not really a bad guy just kind of a lost soul. Fi was sometimes unlikable to me but she was a softie with a good heart. It was just frustrating how naive she could be sometimes. I am very assertive so I kept thinking why are you not standing up for yourself more Fi. The couple chooses an arrangement where they share the main house so that the children are not uprooted. I have heard about arrangements like this but never knew anyone who has done this and the story does a great job at explaining the situation. The story jumps into the suspense right away when Fi arrives back to the main home after her weekend off to see that another couple has purchased the home and moved into it! The character Fi talked about her ordeal in a crime podcast throughout the story which helps piece together the events leading up to the weekend when she arrives home to the sold home. Also Bram reflects on his side and version of the events through a journal type letter he writes. The really neat part is for Fi's podcast parts it always has a couple of tweets from people reacting to the podcast. I really thought this was such a fun aspect to add to the story and it really made it seem real! The "tweeters" always had witty comments to add and as a twitter user myself I enjoyed it a lot.The plot has a lot of twists and you never really know what exactly to expect and the ending was a shocker to me. I am definitely interested in reader more books from Louise Candlish now and will be looking for some shortly to read. I really enjoy Louise writing style and I am always thankful when I can not predict what will happen in a book.

The Urang Vitamin Oil serum is a great multi use skincare product. I really enjoy that aromatherapy aspect of the oil and it definitely has a very strong scent from the essential oil ingredients. I really like that they use quality ingredients that are safe and mostly organic. The vitamin oil serum has myrrh and frankincense oils which are fantastic for use on skin. This product is not recommended for sensitive skin. Also some people do not like essential oils because they have a pretty potent scent so that is something to keep in mind as well. The serum is $57 which is very reasonable due to the quality organic ingredients and real frankincense oil is a more expensive oil as well which is one of the main ingredients in this. A little goes a long way with a potent oil like this. It blends in very nicely and does not leave residue behind or an oily look to your face. I like that it absorbs so well. You can smell it after applying which to me was a nice relaxing benefit. I really do see improvement in my skin tone and my face look brighter.

Book Review: The Dream Daughter

I was given an advanced copy to read for free. and this is the first book from Diane Chamberlain I have read. This book was so hard to put down once I started reading it. The story line really draws you in and I became so connected with the main character Carly. Carly is such a likeable character that goes through so much but remains such a strong willed women. She is such an inspiration to always keep going and to never give up. The story starts out in 1965 and Carly is a physical therapist who is married to Joe. Joe dies in Vietnam and Carly is left widowed and pregnant. Sadly Carly's pregnancy is hit with bad news. Her baby has a heart defect and the doctors tell her that it is unlikely her baby will survive. Carly's brother in law Hunter knows how important the baby is to Carly especially since she is now widowed. This is where the book really picked up and drew me in. Hunter can time travel and has come up with a plan to send Carly into 2001 so that she can get proper medical care for her baby. Hunter is another favorite character of mine in the book. He is so caring and he puts so much on the line to help Carly and her baby. This is the only option for her baby to have a chance to survive. I really enjoyed that the story added the time travel aspect into it but still kept the story relatable and did not turn it into a science fiction book. The time travel aspect really flowed nicely with the plot and it was believable. The story has so many characters that remind you how amazing humans can be. I had tears a couple times int he story because I was overcome with emotion. As a mother it is really easy to feel Carly's pain and to understand her desire to do whatever it takes to protect her baby. I admire how Carly adapts to everything that is thrown her way and pushes on. She really is such an inspiration and is a great reminder that you can accomplish anything you set out to. The book is really suspenseful and you never know what will happen and it was very hard to put down because I just needed to know that Carly will be okay! I think this book is really a great read and worth 5 stars all the way!

Book Review: Lies T.M. Logan

The cover immediately caught my eye. "What If Your Whole Life Was Based On Lies?" The question on the front really grabbed my attention and got me thinking. It is an interesting question and really engages the reader right away. Lies starts out right away into action and moves the plot along. The book had characters which are very relatable for the 30-45 year old adult range. The main character Joe is an average family guy who the book centers around. Joe is married with one child and is a teacher. The books other characters are Joe's wife Mel who I did not find very likable due to the fact that during the course of the book she is found out for having an affair with one of her best friends husband. The other two important characters are Ben and Beth. Ben is Beth's husband and is the one having the affair with Mel. Beth is Mel's friend and Ben's wife. As you can figure out the characters are in quite a messy situation. The story takes an interesting plot twist when Ben goes missing and Joe is being blamed. I really liked how the pace of the story moved along. I did find myself towards the ending thinking wow I have already figured out the ending. I was getting a little restless reading thinking I already figured out the ending. THEN!!!!!!! The story takes an interesting and surprising twist that I NEVER would have figured out. I loved how it ended since it was so surprising. This book would be a great read for almost anyone especially adults 30-45 age range due to how relatable the characters are. It is a wild ride and really keeps you going through the story. I received an advanced copy to read for free.

💄Happy National Lipstick Day 💄

I celebrated by shopping all day. I grabbed my free MAC lipstick 💄 in Dare You. My store didn't open until 12pm but I arrived early and was towards the front of the line. It was a nice time waiting chatting with other beauty lovers like myself. I was very impressed with the selection of colors this year. Last year had some pretty wild colors that many people were not impressed with. Many felt it was leftovers that didn't sell well. I picked the purple last year and actually really didn't mind the color at all plus hey free makeup is always okay for me and I like experimenting with colors I normally would not pick. This year had a great selection and had a lot of regular colors that were perfect for daily use. Next I stopped by Sephora since it was in the same mall and grabbed my free mask which will be my first time using one from the Sephora line. I got the Pearl face mask that is used for Perfecting & Brightening. After the mall I went to a few more store and scored some great deals below.

I have been trying to work through my stash of products and not buy any sample sized or subscribe to any beauty boxes but made an exception and purchased the Naturisimo Sensitive Soul Discovery Box. Naturisimo is an UK based company. They believe in offering clean beauty and well being. I am really trying to switch my beauty,skincare and household product use to more natural products. As you can see this box really grabbed my attention because of the amazing natural products available in it. The box was $17.95 but after conversion rate I paid around $22 with free shipping.

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Cream (Grapefruit)

This is aluminum free which is a preference for my deodorant and I would only consider a deodorant natural if it did not include aluminum. The only drawback is the application is with your fingers so not as nice as using a deodorant stick.

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser

I don't really love the scent that this has but it is a really effective and useful night cream. It absorbs very quickly hydrates well. It has a unique combination of aloe and shea butter.

I love Tata Harper and this product was a factor in purchasing the box. This is another deluxe size that comes in a glass spray bottle.

I was really happy with the contents and would probably grab a similar box at the same price point if available in the future.

This is actually the last XO Peachy Box. They informed subscribers this month they are no longer offering a subscription box. I am so sad to see this box go since it has become my favorite subscription box. i had actually prepaid for a six month subscription and I was very pleased to receive a prompt refund for future boxes. I am hopeful they may come back in the future!

The last item was a pair of sunglasses. They have an orange tint and are lightweight plus they come with a cute little pouch. Another item perfect for summertime. I love to coordinate my glasses with outfits so this is great for my collection.
