What I Look Forward to Now a Days

There are so many things to look forward to! The first is my phone not ringing. The most joyous sound on earth is a silent cell phone. Next, is an empty in-box for email. Pure Joy. Watching idiotic builders improve land then not build for years is equally gratifying. All the grand ambition, the landscaping, tree lined roads - all sitting empty for a decade is really something to look forward to. Greed that is not being fulfilled! Not driving is a big one, right up there with not having to enter a grocery store or a bank.

If one is still working, then the best day is a day with no correspondence, calling or dealing with co-workers. I don't care if I just closed a multi - hundred thousand dollar deal, I don't want to be congratulated, esteemed or otherwise contacted, leave me alone. This is why we have on line platforms to track every word, meeting and deal as well as conference calls to re-iterate the same nonsense. I look forward to day with no Teams meetings, cancelled conference calls and no HR communication to follow up on a complex jigsaw puzzle of a website that you will be questioned about. A good day is not having to call the IT dept to re-configure every up-dateable platform because they don't tell you when they send updates, now about twice daily.

I look forward to no one showing up unannounced at the house whereby you have read them the Riot Act to get them off your property. A good day is no contractors coming over to paint, pressure wash or perform other needed services, it's a pain in the ass and always leads to negotiations about cost. Looking forward to a day where I don't have to work is a big one, no matter how far off. I look forward to the next electric bill after I used a save-a watt device to trim power expenses to see exactly how much I am saving.

We all look forward to the weekend to shake off the slave drive of work and forget about it for a while. I have gotten to the point where I actually look forward to customers' crises and emergencies. I look forward to the way I handle it now a days. Their emergency is NOT my crises. I'll get back to you, that sounds rough. Let them lose their minds for a little while, I will help if I can. No emotional involvement, hold on, I got a call coming in.

I look forward to NOT VOTING- I cant wait! I have finally learned it is beyond a complete sham and waste of time - it's meaningless! Looking forward to caring less and less about politicians, agendas and the like is truly liberating. I look forward to the in-between days of holidays where you can relax and not be socially conditioned to participate, these are the best days. I look forward to getting toxic people out of my life, pretty much already done with that one.

The Shining Future Islands of South Florida

The year is 2150. Most of the South Florida area is under 10-50 feet of water from climate change. Miami is inundated. High rise condominiums and office buildings poke up out of the water like a surreal scene from a movie. Further up the coast you can see Ft. Lauderdale roof tops and other tall buildings half submerged. The water extends all the way to I-95 making the area look like the Louisiana bayou as I-10 crosses over and through it. Everything south of lake Okeechobee and up through West Palm Beach along the east coast is flooded or half underwater. It is the most flooding in heavily populated areas the world has ever seen. 4.5 million people have been displaced. Many years ago in the 2050’s, the flooding gained momentum and became increasingly worse as time went on. Mitigation efforts included raising homes, canal diversion programs and increased stormwater retention however none of it worked. Interstates like I-95, I-595 and the Turnpike have been raised at various high water points to still provide a modicum of travel and commerce. Some areas of these roads are permanently shut down as alternate routes have been built over the years. The Everglades is now connected to the Atlantic Ocean which has changed the Florida aquifer and made large swaths of land uninhabitable and remote.

Prior to 2050, the King Tides of South Florida were an ominous warning of how bad it could get in the Southeast Florida region. Miami, Ft, Lauderdale and Palm Beach residents suffered through innumerable high tides that blanketed the roads and flooded yards continually. The tides were an annual event for a couple of months and soon became a permanent fixture of the area. Everyone was under water pretty much all of the time. Driving became more difficult. The tides ruled your day and your life. Residents had to gauge how high the tide was before leaving the house, hoping they would be able to get back. This also presented a major problem for the thousands of homeless living on the beach, at bus stop overhangs and loitering in front of drug stores. Many were seen in makeshift boast at semi dry intersections going about their day panhandling and holding up signs, unabated by the water. Oar attacks at intersections became the norm. The homeless had oars from their rowing activity and used them to bash windshields and innocent people. The rising water brought with it a rising anger on the streets and amongst the general public. South Florida was already bursting at the seams with transplants from out of state, vacationers and industry. A saving grace to the area was that most of the new construction along Sunrise Blvd and other areas had to go vertical to account for overpopulation. As the waters rose, the high density 10 to 20 story buildings provided refuge for existing residents. Small boat sales spiked exponentially. Parking was no longer an issue, light, maneuverable water craft was. The larger boats and yachts were in the process of being re-located to North and Central Florida. There was no use for them and they became a dangerous liability to own or operate. The same held true for cars, trucks and all manner of vehicle within the area. There was a slow and steady sell off of all land based vehicles in South Florida from 2050 to 2100. Everyone saw the water coming in and had to adapt or leave the area. The upside of it was decreased traffic and less congested roads in an already over burdened and poorly managed highway and interstate system. Restaurants and hotels were also forced to change their business models and adapt to the incoming tides. Ft. Lauderdale, once the glittering jewel of Venice like waterways, famous bars and restaurants and tropical ambiance was sinking onto the ocean at an ever increasingly rapid pace. Street names like Rio Vista were mockingly called Rio Underwaterah as the population looked for levity in the disaster. Ft. Lauderdale airport was shut down in 2087 as a precaution to the sudden and violent flooding experienced during hurricanes and heavy rain storms. The airport was relocated to Loxahatchee, one of the few remaining high and dry pieces of land, several miles west of I-95. The area is rural and underdeveloped, however suitable for an airport.

An engineering survey of the land stretching from Ft. Pierce to Miami, along I-95 and the Turnpike showed several areas in South Florida that still remained high, dry and potentially viable for existing residents. Much to the surprise of the survey engineers, the landfills of South Florida remained at least 55 feet above water. Throughout the years, the landfills increased in size to eight times their stature in 2045. The massive uptick of solid waste mountains created in South Florida over the years now looked like a viable alternative for housing and a refuge for what was left of the population. A leading edge construction and building tech firm invented a process to solidify the waste within the landfills to make it impervious to decay while maintaining the tensile strength of concrete block. Known as “Waste Blocks”, they had the ability to be formed and utilized for future construction on the islands that remained. Applications also included sealing the existing trash island ground with a perma-freeze solution that provided for a more permanent foundation to build housing and light commercial buildings. As with any new and unproven technology, there were drawbacks. The most prescient of these was the fact that the waste blocks were de-gassing methane and carbon dioxide, just as the trash heaps from the past. Work arounds to this included micro-piping within the blocks for efficient de-gassing and re-piping into the ground and surrounding waters for the foundations to be built. The future was bright for the existing Trash Islands as people began to consider living in the new island paradises of South Florida.

The new Trash Islands were now known as the “TI’s”, similar to the “DR” for the Dominican Republic and the “VI” for the Virgin Islands. The TI’s stretched from Ft. Pierce to Palm Beach then to Lake Worth with Palm Beach having the largest TI of them all, just off the now submerged Jog Rd. The Covanta Waste Facility generously granted all future usage of their mountainous trash heap to the State of Florida, for the benefit of the people of South Florida. Covanta and their subsidiaries received an enormous tax break for their donation, Their only stipulation was that the State of Florida name their particular TI “Covanta Island”, which the state quickly ratified. The rest of the new found island chain bordered the Turnpike just south of Hollywood and then down to Homestead and Florida City. These were in fact the new Keys, leading into the existing Florida Keys. Since Miami was now completely under water, the downtown area of Miami was relocated to Florida City, the new bustling metropolis of South Florida. The elevation at Florida City and Homestead was high enough to remain habitable to accommodate the new residents, infrastructure and buildings required to approximate the former Miami. Most of the electric infrastructure of Homestead and the surrounding areas was underground pad mount transformers which helped greatly for the new residents and businesses.

The abandonded Dade-Collier airport , once the home of Alligator Alcatraz was re-opoened for commercial air traffic in 2047. The Alligator Alcatraz experiment that detained mostly quasi-legal immigrants simply waiting for their court date burned down after an inmate riot in 2035. The site was controversial and inhumane and many uprisings occurred over the years leading to a complete burning down of the facility. The DC airport now operated in place of the former Miami International airport. Shuttles ran 24/7 to and from the airport to the TI's and the remaining settlements on dry land. Airboats were the new Uber along with Ride Share and all other form of taxis. On a busy day at the DC airport, you could see dozens of airboats and other shallow draft watercraft lined up to take people and their baggage to and from the new facility.

Throughout all of the misery, setbacks and general upheaval,tourism in South Florida still flourished. Hotels and residences were built on the TI’s. Real Estate was sold quickly. Caveats in real estate closing documents included “..De-gassing may occur within the structure of your home or business. It typically goes unnoticed however a slight odor may occur from time to time. Vortex’s and whirlpools may occur within the surrounding waters of the TI’s however engineers have assured us that this is a rare event and will quickly pass”. While consumers and potential land owners were made aware of this, they still quickly bought up the existing land on the islands and soon moved to their new island paradises. Travel between the TI’s was mainly by small or mid-sized boats. Small marinas were built to accommodate limited boat travel. Vertical Take Off and Landing craft were very popular as there was no way to build runways for air travel on the islands. These craft took off and landed on all of the TI’s and added to the mystique of the new islands. The Coast Guard utilized the VTOL’s to confirm rogue whirlpools and vortices in the water in between the islands. TIDWA's (Trash Island De-gassing Water Alerts), were sent out like Amber Alerts when whirlpools and de-gassing occurred in areas surrounding the islands.The water was unsafe to swim in and the conflicting waves and whirlpools made it extra dangerous. Debris Squads were also deployed from each county to regularly patrol the waters and pick up all manner of debris which was a constant problem from the decades of flooding.

The Trash Islands of South Florida provided a unique glimpse into the ingenuity of humanity and triumph of man over environment. It is a bright and shining reminder of the ability of our species to overcome any obstacle and to succeed where the odds are stacked against us. Long live the Shining New Trash Islands of South Florida!

Nothing Works and No One Cares

Nothing seems to work and no one cares. Manufactured items like TV's ,beds, tables, furniture, etc. Services like door or shower installations, landscaping services. No one wants to show up, no one wants to work and no one will answer the phone.When they do, you get transferred to an AI auto response bot. It's maddening. Things that used to take a few days or a week drag out for months. Re-titling a vehicle took me over two months of back and forth, hide and seek ,watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat, cloak and dagger nonsense. A shower installation took three tear downs to finally complete after 18 months of going back and forth with bad workmanship and obvious screw ups during the process. I had a landscaper tell me he needs to be paid up front and will determine which days he will come out to cut the grass. I had another one show up with brand new equipment- problem was he had never cut lawns before and didn't know what he was doing. I walked him around and showed him all his "misses", come to find out he never worked on a landscaping crew before. I am currently battling a large retailer to get a door installed. I paid for the door and door jam three weeks ago, they are still messing around trying to pull a permit then the installer should call me. It will take over a month after being paid for. The store will not answer calls, when they do, they transfer you, then hang up. This company is one of the largest in the country for home and business supplies and contracting. I had to call the national number to begin a case to identify where they are in the process of getting the door picked, ready to ship and setting an install date. The store told me "3 months" I told them NO, its hurricane season, that will not work. They then magically found the door in the back of the store. So now, we are down to 1.5 - 2 months to get it completed.

I have purchased 3 TV's in the last 6 months. Not because I love TV, I just need one that works and is not damaged on arrival or fails six months in. I worked through the first warranty process and they determined it was my fault the inner screen has lines on it and I damaged it. I did no such thing. I was exceedingly gentle with the damned thing so as to not damage it in any way.. I had to take pictures of the screen, the tag and the receipt. Then, I emailed all the evidence to them and got a case number. I was then told I would need to hire a technician to fix it and its my fault. This would cost more than the TV itself! Our third TV arrived damaged and we were told we cannot take it back to Wal-Mart, we have to deal with FedEx through a series of emails to confirm damaged on arrival.

We are on our third mattress from Rooms to Go. The first two were sagging or "dipping" is what they call it. They sent out a guy to get pics and measurements, took about 20 minutes. Now the third mattress is beginning to sag. This is odd because it was the most expensive one they had! Our kitchen table and furniture is from a local manufacturer. The kitchen table had to be replaced, wrong color. One couch cushion was bad, had to be replaced.

Our kitchen needs to be re-painted, its not that large. I had a guy quote us $2450 for the job. It is about a day to a day and a half of work. We had another guy want to charge us $600 to paint three walls. We did it ourselves in a day. These people are out of their minds.

The attitudes I have encountered with all the above misery were completely off the rails. To say that these people are entitled, arrogant, greedy and just plain stupid misses the mark entirely and is a huge understatement. The people in these retail outlets, installers, handymen or anyone providing a service or a product act as though the world is in a nuclear war and they might die tomorrow. You cannot even really make a connection with them when speaking to them. They are out to lunch, not all there and seemingly deaf and blind. Their eyes glaze over when talking with them and it seems like they go into a REM sleep mode of some sort. Then they snap out of it and don't know what you just said to them. On top of this , no one wants to show up for work. Wether its my company or any company or store, the new mantra is take off as much time as possible, always be sick and just don't care about anything. If you do have to pretend to care about something, make sure you find someone else to blame for your idiocy. This is real, I see it every day. Blame shift, don't be present, be a fault finder in emails and all communication, have no responsibility for anything and try to get out of doing anything, ever. This is the new mental state of the country. I really believe this is the truth in the year 2025.

I don't understand any of this or why it's happening however it's real and it is happening to EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE at the SAME TIME. It is probably happening to you right now!

Welcome to Hotel Hell!

Hello, how are you? How is your day going? I see your reservation, welcome back...

I can’t wait. I just drove over 400 miles, traversed the state, and had 6 meetings with clients. Please tell me this AC is not really out. Maybe it just takes time to get going and its working a little light, that was the words of wisdom from the front desk. After giving it 3 hrs with my arms sticking to the desk and feet sweating on the tile I realize it’s a jungle in here. Give me a new room. It’s cooler in the hallway and cooler than that in the front lobby. That is why they are looking at me like I’m an alien. What’s the problem? Oh, I don’t know, just sweating like the I’m in the Congo, no big deal. OK sir, we have ONE room left. OK great, I will move all my shit and get a temperature reduction from the 110 degree heat. Know this – the AC systems at hotels now-a days are triggered to switch to HEAT when you increase temperature – if they work at all. This is a whole other abomination in the hotel world. In this case, it was not working however giving the appearance and sound of working.

This is when you cannot think it’s done or over just yet. Let’s be positive and get a workout! Great idea! Come back to the room, take a shower and the fucking shower is stuck on scalding hot water. Turn it to cold and it shuts off..I tried adjusting it, almost broke the handle, it just got worse. I got about a minute of cooler water, just enough, then scalding hot again. This is the WTF moment where you transcend to a much more primitive place and time in your life that you have lived through before.Like a sleeping mountain of extreme misery,this time and space from your past gets AWAKENED. Now it’s ON..You feel transported to a place long ago where anger and wrath ruled. Motivated you. Made you get through. Suddenly you have a rush of emotion from 25 yrs ago and you remember how pissed you really were at the time. It doesn’t feel good, just familiar in a weird way.

Next it’s the friging chair at the little desk near the TV, from the 1970’s.Pale green in a bad way with rollers on it, one of the only things that the Hampton decided to leave in their inventory 40 years later. It hurts to sit on. It makes you aware of how bad, old and useless it is. It screams to you, “ Kill me…Kill me now, Please...!!”I almost took its advice and carried the damned piece of flat board shit to the elevator to light it on fire and throw it in the dumpster out back but I didn’t want any more attention. No need to involve the authorities with my hotel misery in hell. They would just make it worse and arrest me.

Damn this place. I need compensation. The next morning the front desk asked,“ How was your stay?” I told them in a professional level voice of the problems and they shrunk away like they were under attack. No sympathy, no offering of a discount for the next stay. Nothing, just total and complete non-acknowledgement of me. All they did was hand me my receipt and I said, “OK, I guess this is my receipt” and they shrinked away refusing to make eye contact. I asked them why the Hampton did not notify the front desk after I responded to a text about an hour after check-in that I was not happy and why. They had no answer and looked away. It was too early for more drama so I let it go. This is a mid-level hotel, $180 a night, not a motel or a Comfort Inn. I am a paying customer and this place is taking me to hell and leaving me there. Screw them. I will follow up and express to them my nightmare on their property. These bastards need to know how fucked up their little hotel scheme has become, the cheap fucks. I refuse to live in hell. It’s hot enough outside, I will not internalize climate change and eternally sweat, take showers in boiling water and have to wear socks to walk around my room if I don’t want to. The retention pond and the pool in a lightning storm looked like a better alternative. They need to pay. I’m over it and I will not take it anymore. F them and the horse they rode on in.The front desk personnel all need to be fired and those back breaking hideous green chairs need to be taken out of their misery and thrown into a giant dumpster fire.

The Work Life Balance Paradox

A paradox is a statement or a proposition that despite sounds,, (or seemingly sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems contradictory and or logically unacceptable.

This is very meaningful in the world of work and the paradoxical statement of "Work Life Balance". You might think you have a good work life balance however all things come undone eventually and balance is just a temporary feeling of equity. The "Work Life Balance" credo pushed in the mainstream of ideas is a lie and a sham. I'm sure it has helped a lot of people sell their books, videos and the like however it's baseless and in need of a reality check. It's a temporary feel good meme like a new pair of sneakers.

Work and life rarely balance. Work can be fulfilling , however rare especially when there are other humans involved. As soon as you feel any modicum of fulfillment it will be shattered by moronic co-workers that would be better off they they didn't work with you. If you are lucky enough to not have to work weekends and have two days off, its just enough to get over the work week then its back to work. Seeking balance in this environment just means being able to get things done during the week while working. There is no real 'balance' , it's an illusion, a cheap catch phrase that people glom onto as a way out of the dread of thinking about work. It takes two days to put the thought of work behind you then a lot of people stress about it on a Sunday evening, further exacerbating the work paradigm.

The longer you work, the more disenchanted you become with your industry, people in general and the striving to save for a future whereby you know it will never be enough. Work is like a Chinese finger torture, the harder you pull, the more stuck you get. Some people drown themselves in work to escape whatever it is they perceive they need escape from. Making 'extra money' might help in the short term but it is no recipe for happiness or peace in your life. Extra money means extra taxes, less time for yourself, more stress and more demands put on you. Working two jobs is a nightmare. I've done it and pray to God I don't have to do it again.

One of the best examples of the Work Life Paradox comes in the responses and conversations you get into with people about their careers. I have heard doctors, general contractors, legal professionals and all manner of other professionals comment on their industry and why you should not pursue it. Every person I have heard these things from was in their particular line of work for a while and was highly negative, overwhelmingly fearful and just plain sad. "Don't go into that field! Its a nightmare! I couldn't wait to get out! You have no idea! It's really depressing to hear. Never have I heard "Wow, what a great career! I am so happy and fulfilled that I spent 30+ years in that profession! I would recommend that line of work to anyone! No, never heard that, never heard anyone imply that nor has anyone ever expressed happiness or a great experience in their chosen field of endeavor. Never. It's always the same, they could not wait to get out and glad they are done.

More proof of the Work Life Paradox comes into play in the inability of people to easily sell their companies or their practices. No one wants to buy your bag load of misery, debt, uncertain outcomes and continual cash drain. I don't care what the company is valued at, how good the "books" look, no one wants to buy it. If they do, they offer an insulting amount that just pisses you off even more about your work life paradox decisions. The potential buyer will require an $18M insurance policy whereby there is already a $5-10M policy in place. Hold on a second, your EBITA, (Earning Before Interest and Taxes) are not up to par because it's the end of the fiscal year or you just built a new facility or you have a back log of units not yet repaired because of the building of the new facility - it never ends.

All of these issues end up in the zombie-facation of the business, hyper micro analysis of meaningless small amounts of money, customers and vendors not being paid and payroll just barley met. Sales people get commission cuts at the last minute for no reason, the accounting dept is like a pack of wolves sweating employees for lunch and hotel receipts as though it is their fault. Corporate communication comes to a standstill and the overall feeling is one of being on a sailboat in the doldrums with a broken mast near the equator with no hope of wind, endless hot days and a broken rudder. Totally and irrevocably screwed! Excuses heard from the company are "Well, it's a venture capital decision and they re-directed the money to more pressing needs of the company.." Translation - we have "re-directed' the money to a more profitable venture and will keep you a-float until some other outfit comes along and buys you for pennies on the dollar. It's all just more lies, misdirection, broken promises and greed beyond belief. No alleged 'balance' or common sense, just an underlying sense of dread and disbelief, hoping like hell you don't end up as a line-cook or a landscaper again.

Most things now a days are weaponized and out to get you. Inflation is out to get you. It's a hidden tax and never goes away. When a new 'price point' on anything is established you will never see it go down. Companies set prices for goods and services and it stays that way. This is the new bar and base pricing they work from now. Not only are they out to get you, they are out to insult you and throw it in your face while doing it.'Sales' and 'promotions', once in a lifetime deals all exist to drive traffic to goods or services, meanwhile the new price point has been set and the little relief offered doesn't really exist.

Average income in the state of Florida in 2025 is near $74,500. Good luck buying a house when the mortgage on a $350K home will be somewhere near $3200/mo with taxes, insurance and interest - out to get you...Large builders offer 4.99% financing and no money down, still out to get you with a house you cannot afford. If you happen to buy into a development, ( that's really all they are building currently - controlled developments), you' face another round of forever fees that are out to get you. HOA fees rising, CDD fees, (Community development fees paid yearly), rising homeowners insurance- if you're even able to get it- and the latest out to get you fee, the Forever Fee. This will soon become Florida law whereby all housing developments with amenities will charge you separately for the pool, dog walk, pickle-ball court, random gazebos with unused barbecue grills as a forever amenity fee. Don't pay it, get a lien on your house.It gets better. These "Forever Fees" and services associated with and for amenities in your community can be SOLD to 3rd party companies. THEY can then raise them with no objection into the future and slap a lien on your home if you don't pay up.This Out to Get You strategy can be taken to it's ultimate extreme - taking your house - through a provider of amenities in your community!

Have you had the unfortunate experience of visiting a doctor or any type of physician lately? They are out to get you via texts to confirm your appointment which includes a 'call to cancel or reset notice' - no time frame given. You call to cancel 4 hrs before the appointment and they demand a 'no show' fee. How bout this doc, I will walk in, get my blood work report, take a look at it and you can call me if any anomalies. Go fuck yourself you arrogant fucks, you're out to get me.

The Out to Get You paradigm reaches new heights of criminality with the cell phone phishing, smishing and potential spamming. Text messages saying you owe overdue toll fees is the latest in this game. Click on the link and they got you! Even if you don't pay the bogus fee, they confirmed your cell number and its off to the races from there. Spam callers asking your name as their first command are out to get you. I tell them "SUICIDE HOTLINE , HOW CAN I HELP!!? DON'T JUMP- PUT DOWN THE GUN- WE'RE ON THE WAY! They will never call you again. Tell these people only need six words and they can use AI to replicate your voice, maybe I'll lose the suicide hotline response.

The crap they are spraying in the skies is out to get you. There is now legislation in Florida to stop chem-trailing the general public. It's going to take a law to be passed to stop this insanity. Why is everythign such a pain in the ass?

When did TV become such a pain in the ass? Apps, subscriptions, cancelling them, understanding how to QR code access, hidden fees, bank charges - all for wasting your time in front of a television!

Why is booking a hotel room a marketing and survey/feedback experience? The front desk treat you like a leper and sends you to request a text to go to reservations. It doesn't work because you forgot your marriott bonvoy number. A half hour later you are speaking to someone from India you can't understand. The rates are higher - pain in the ass, you book it anyway, there is no other choice.

Flying has always been a pain in the ass however it is exponentially worse now. More QR codes to order food, more security checks and delays, more cancellations. Less leg room. Higher ticket prices, its a bad experience. People are sick, you will be too.

Concerts are practically non-existent and way too expensive. Entertainers are falling off the stage. They get sick and cancel their tours. They get injured on stage, they walk off the stage from no audience participation. It's an F show beyond belief!

Driving has become extremely difficult, especially in Florida. More people than ever are moving here. I am always happy to hear that it didn't work out for them and they are moving back. Out of state tags are everywhere. These people stand in stores dazed and confused, like from another planet. They are rude and out of their minds. Florida needs a one way lane into the state with a mandatory U-Turn back over the state line to make them think about it twice.

The weather is out of control. Hot, cold, rain , storms, its the most unpredictable ever. Chem-trails are now admitted to exist. They are spraying us like bugs with God knows what. You can see the chemicals in the sky raining down on you, another nightmare to have to deal with.

Co-workers in the corporate environment not only don't care about anything except themselves, they actively avoid and mislead for no apparent reason. The revolving door of managers, incompetent people hired from family relationships and outright fraud are all hallmarks of the working world. Lying CEO's, half baked strategies and the repetition of plans everyone knows will not happen all serve to infuriate you on the Monday morning conference call.

Cell phones have become our constant companion to be stared at most of the waking day. Driving somewhere? Look next to you, someone is deeply engrossed in their damned phone. Working out? 1. The housing market collapses. DR Horton and Lennar are stuck with inventory they cannot sell yet major builders continue to build more. Prices stay the same, interest rates remain above 6% and no one can afford to buy a home.

2. Limited war with Russia. Russia launches a hypersonic missile at a NATO country. The US responds by sending troops and more long range missiles. Eastern Europe remains on a war footing.

3. Inflation continues to affect food prices with no relief in sight.

4. The AI takeover begins. AI replaces most accounting, retail, warehouse and logistics jobs. People will begin speaking to their AI app more than other people.

5. Electric vehicle sales plummet. No one wants them anymore.

6. Bird flu is staged for a fake release and combined with three other fake diseases for a fake 'Quademic'. People are told to stay home, don't travel or fly and more restrictions will be put into place for everything. More harm inducing vaccines will be offered as the solution. Once again, the pharmaceutical industry makes millions by damaging and killing healthy people with their vaccines.

7. Unemployment increases, no one can find a job with a livable wage. As a result, hedge funds like Black rock and large builders will begin converting single family housing developments into rent forever homes. People will jump at the idea of just renting forever.

8. Most people under 35 will be living with their parents. Multi generational housing will become the norm.

9. The birth rate plummets, country's begin offering subsidies for couple to have children. No one buys into it.

11. No one wants to work. The perception of having a job is seen as a thing of the past. No one sees the value in it and thinks having an occupation is meaningless.

12. The on line gaming industry explodes. Virtual reality is seen as necessary for most daily tasks.

13. Obesity and diabetes increases exponentially. Most people have one or both of these issues.

14. Gambling becomes more popular and is incorporated into on line gaming and most aspects of our lives. This includes on line trading platforms.

15. Most entertainment is AI generated. This causes more unemployment in Hollywood and all entertainment venues.

16. The Trump administration does very little to help the country.Congress and the Senate do even less. 2025 sees the government shut down twice and adopt the idea of unlimited debt, driving down the value of the dollar further and exacerbating inflation.

17. Pre-paying for services becomes the norm.

Mind numbing stupidity is occurring at a much increased pace within the last couple of years.Gratuity fees of 20% in addition to a tip request to eat in a themed restaurant are just the beginning. Pre-tipping and tipping for take out food is just as bad. Things get worse when dentist appointments expire if you do not confirm a voicemail within a week. Prescriptions now expire after 90 days as well as any other medical request. Lawn services want you to pay up front for a month and they can only be here on Tuesdays, weather permitting.

People are losing their minds on the roads. Road rage, yelling, aggressive driving and downright stupidity like going slow in the fast lane are all on the rise. It' so bad that Florida is passing a law to require fast lane drivers to get out of the way or get a ticket. When the government has to step in and let us know how friggin stupid we are you know we are in trouble. Door dash and Uber Eats are just excuses for your lazy ass to not leave your house. This food is already bad enough after 10 minutes of waiting and idiots want to wait another 20 minutes to have it brought to your door and pay another fee.

We have an empty headed , lying hyena like cackling idiot running for President and a megalomaniac former president losing his mind running again.. Senators are freezing in mid sentence at a podium yet they are medically cleared as fit to serve. The United States Army performs sex re-assignment surgery for enlisted personnel. The US is adding a trillion to the national debt every month or so. We have never been more screwed nor has the future ever looked so bleak.

Inflation is off the chain and no one knows why or how. Eggs were $7/dozen now back down to $3.75. I guess the egg industry magically healed itself. Options for renting a car are reduced to ride-share, some sort of transportation puzzle factory where people own cars and rent them out as they see fit from companies like Turo. Everyone thought land lines were a joke until ATT went down. Now they are rushing to install them.

The media is waving their arms around and bug eyed when they yell at you that only they have the answers and their news is somehow better than the other bought and paid for media outlets. Attention spans are decreasing. Fake game shows in between television ads are perplexing and downright weird. Gas stations have music blaring and gas pumps with TV screens you can't turn off. Obesity is higher than ever before yet people are running to buy air fryers and continue to jam more food down their throats.

Why do I have to do everyone's job for them? Buying appliances, I have to figure out the discount, the manager at Home Depot shrugs her shoulder and mumbles"..I don't know.." walking away. The DMV cannot tell me how to re-title a vehicle, after 3 visits I found someone that can and is equally pissed off at her incompetent co-workers. I aksed a hotel employee for two bottles of water, she couldn't figure out how to charge me for it so I told her to get me the water and she did, saying nothing else.

The country is in deep trouble, a recession will follow along with bailouts, cash outs, bank failures, mergers of the too big to fails, cyber attacks, more violence from 14 year olds with guns and increased fear and paranoia from everyone, everywhere. We are at the brink of a complete nightmare.

There are numerous cities and towns in the United States that have fallen beyond disrepair into outright third world hell holes that don't even resemble America. Look at Kensignton, PA - worse than Calcutta India! there is no need for this with the thousands of wannabe US citizens pouring into this country every day. These immigrants can help save the United States through the correct application of their talents and desire to become US citizens.

The US has a long history of work ethic and creativity. Let us introduce the border crossing masses to a similar ethos, especially all of the men. You want to come here and be a citizen? Great! We have just the place for you to help rebuild our failing nation! Camden, NJ is a good place to start. We start with groups of 50 - 100 illegal immigrants and send them there with construction materials, lots of paint, a six months supply of food and water and tell them to get to work! Give the dreamers a year to re-vitalize, re-build , re-paint and claim their new found homes in America! This would be the American dream on steroids. The only requirements would be to learn the English language within a year, show significant progress in the way of making the area livable, more beautiful and a decent place once again - or get deported. All existing infrastructure from electricity, water and roads is intact and just waiting for a facelift. Why not earn your US citizenship by actually doing something rather than waiting for a government program of support?

The men will get to work with a timeline - 1 year. The women and children can choose which city they want to relocate to to support their boyfriends or husbands. Men will be assigned their area to work in. No Ex-cons, convicted felons, pedophiles, they all get deported upon entry. Disputes can be settled by a local magistrate, each city will have a jail, just like the Old West. No alcohol until after the first year, then beer and wine only. Drones can be utilized as well as regular visits from federal authorities to assure progress is being made. The Border Solution program can also be applied to all homeless individuals currently residing in the immigrant assigned areas. They too need a hand up not a hand out. If they don't want to participate, then off to jail or kicked out of the town to the next one. This is a win win for all blighted areas, illegal travelers and sidewalk residents in the country. Get up and help or get the hell out, very simple.

The rebuilding of America is first and foremost to save this country. All hands on deck is required. Upon successful completion of the first year to make US cities thrive again, the participants will feel great and take pride in their work. Assimilation into the United States will be complete and expedited citizenship processes will take place. City of Palm Coast govt- Completley out to lunch and useless

The City of Palm Coast has changed their building code requirement for new residential construction resulting in massive flooding to existing homes near developments under construction.

Attached is an example of my property after one night of rain. Hurricane season is here and everyone is very concerned. Other neighborhoods have also been adversely affected. The new code has all new construction being built at a 4-6 ft elevation above existing home site elevations. The city is unresponsive, does not care and is in the process of constructing over 2500 homes with their new elevation requirement. This is only going to get worse over

I solved it myself, you people hide behind emails, rarely return calls and don't give a flying friggin flip about drainage, unbridled developments being constructed at 3-4 feet over current homeowner elevations..You want a mountain of dirt surrounding your home as new ones are built? Your 6 ft fence that cost $10K is now a 4 ft fence because bldg codes have changed for the worse for the existing community? ..., traffic problems or street lighting issue not addressed - until someone dies. Useless, that is what you are. Completely useless - unless there is a parade or a benefit of some sort, then you shine brightly. We all know it's a fake facade you hide behind. Contractor dug out new swales TWICE and sodded entire area. four months of battling with the engineering firm, contractor, paving company and the city and it's finally done. Damn these people to hell for encroaching my land and making me fight them to fix the problem. We never had this issue until SeaGate homes began raising the elevation behind our house. Other neighbors are now emailing me with the SAME PROBLEM... Side note- When the city bldg inspector finally came out to the property he was shaking with fear when handing my wife his business card, further evidence of the human pieces of garbage they really are.

The look of fear in peoples faces will make you think we just entered into WW III and the country has been nuked. Good news from the governor however, they are going to allow bars and restaurants to open at 25% and maybe even 50% capacity. When has the state and federal government ever controlled the right of a business owner to open? How is it 'good news' that already struggling establishments that are barely making it are 'allowed ' to reopen to make enough to keep the lights on? This is the Bolshevik revolution 2.0. Welcome to hardcore communism!

Within 24 hrs every major retailer had plastic shields, aisle markers and all manner of control installed in their stores. This action had to be planned, staged and coordinated on a massive scale before the alleged outbreak. The logistics of this are mind numbing. So it takes 24 hrs to shut down the global economy yet it is to be determined when the controllers will allow it to reopen. Why is 're-opening ' anything such a difficult process? Simply go back to work, you are re-opened.

Mask's are a complete waste of time and are doing more harm than good. If you do not shield your eyes you might as well not have a mask on. A gas mask is the only true protection from anything airborne. Viruses are not airborne. You cannot catch a virus in a parking lot or even in an enclosed space.We have been lied too in a monumental fashion and no one seems to care nor question anything that comes out of the television. Even if a mask was effective, hanging it from your rear view mirror would negate any effectiveness of it. It is also one the damn stupidest thing I have ever seen. The Nightmare of Disney Worlds Epcot

Your entire organization is a financial draining, over crowded, nazi-like nightmare of forced biometrics, extremely long wait times, no updating of Epcot in the last 20 years and overall just a horrible experience.

Epcot is a joke. I remember going there in 2003-2005 and it was really nice. It is now unfit to stable horses. My God, the curtains in your attraction of 9 minute movie shorts look like they are something out of 1982. Why is parking $25? Why is the entrance fee to the abomination called Epcot $135? Disney should pay people to go there. With all the money you people make I would expect better.

What privately held organization on earth makes you "opt out" of a biometric fingerprint scan to enter their facility? Why do I have to show my credit card AND my license at the same time? I am a Florida resident and a native Floridian. Disney employs two individuals at every entrance gate at Epcot to ask for 3 forms of ID before entering with a prepaid ticket. My wife and I walked away from your Animal Kindgom atrocity several years ago because of some of the same reasons. You people are an abomination. The only reason you are in business is because of a giant illusion played out on the world stage that makes everyone think they need to "go to disney world.."

Don't worry, I let everyone in the line at guest relations know that they will be forcibly biometrically scanned upon entering the satanic kingdom. Children asked me "...why do they want my fingerprint..?" I told them - that is a good question, keep asking questions.

Do you think a gym should serve pizza, bagels and tootsie rolls to its members? If so, you would love Planet Fitness. Aside from the massive carbs and refined sugar, 1/3 of their members are completely unaware of their surroundings as they are blinded by their cell phone addiction and deaf from the ear buds in their heads. Ask them a question, they are literally not there. This occurs in a place where there are 45lb free weights being moved around and stacked among the deaf, dumb, blind and refined sugar junkies addicted to electromagnetic devices.

Why are these people in a gym? Is Planet Fitness really a gym or is it something else? The row of televisions projecting blue light is the glue that binds the hapless membership. As I walked in for my workout, I asked the attendant at the front desk about my concerns. He seemed stressed as he had to actually think and foment a cogent response to a customer. The employees stress was further increased by the fact that he had a live human being asking a question he had to respond to. I finally told him "...don't worry about it - I'll go on on-line and fill out a survey..." He immediately went back to his comfort zone of staring into a computer monitor. Our new comfort is delusional screen time and not communicating with each other-even when it is your job.

Cell phones within the workout area need to be banned. Pizza, bagels and tootsie rolls need to be thrown in the dumpster. Employees that cannot communicate on a 6th grade level with customers need to be fired. Do all Planet Fitness locations have the same issues? If not, I suggest they get in line with the cognitive dissonance rolled out in the one where I live. Planet Fitness has their own television channel. They play videos. One of them is an advertisement for Febreeze. It tells people to spray Febreeze on their shoes, gym bags and work out gear. This is one of the worst pieces of advice that can be given. The chemicals in Febreeze should not be inhaled in a workout setting where ones heart rate and respiration are quadrupled. This is downright dangerous. What kind of alleged "gym" would do this to their membership?

The problem is that I like this gym, it has all the best equipment and is close to my house. The layout is good and there is a lot of space. $10.00 per month is a small price to pay for this. I just cannot understand the mixed message and downright harm they are causing their membership. Planet Fitness needs to incorporate smoothies, veggie trays and organic chips into their feeding regimen. This would make a helluva a lot more sense , after all they are a gym, not a fast food restaurant. Why are they feeding people anyway? People need to eat less when they work out, not more. I think they have succumbed to the politically correct mentality that has been plaguing the nation over the last decade. They are trying to accommodate those that do not work out, those that need the illusion of a Starbucks like social experiment and people that just cannot put down their damned phones for one minute. Enough! Just be a gym, leave the wrong headed societal crap behind and help people get in shape- not eat themselves into a false notion of what a workout should be.

There was a 12 inch hair on the edge of the bath tube. I noticed this after I took a shower. Sheets are crumbling apart. Your definition of a "Suite" is an L- shaped jail cell. I felt dirty when I woke up. I was glad to leave. The continental breakfast is loaded with bad stuff for you - carbs, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, etc. Are you trying to poison me? I sent a picture of the hair to the night attendant and asked for an additional 500 points to be added to my IHG card. I asked for confirmation, never got it. I need you to add an additional 500 points to my IHG card. I need you to confirm this for me within 24 hrs. I will never stay at your alleged "hotel" again.

What do you think would make your next stay better?

Well, to begin with, you can bulldoze the facility and turn it into a park. This will improve the community and remove the clear and present danger of your facility. Next, you can lose the name "Candlewood" completely. It is a contrived name with no significance except the implication of wood burning and arson. Third, you can fire your entire house keeping staff and never employ them in your company again. Fourth, your management team is unresponsive and uncaring - they too need to be fired immediately. Management is responsible for this travesty and the continuation of your establishment is as an alleged hotel is borderline criminal. The local health department needs to be contacted and an injunction needs to be issued to Cease and Desist all hotel functions immediately. You are hurting the community and need to be stopped before more dire implications of your dangerous scheme are perpetrated upon innocent travelers.

Turning 50?

Welcome I say, Welcome...I am 53 so I believe I am well versed in this topic and have some insights to share with you.

The first thing is - don't worry - at least your not turning 60! You will now have a much finer and refined perception of everyone who is only one year older than you. Your mind will tell you, "....shit, he or she is older than me..! what a relief!.." The realm of 50 somethings is akin to the teenage years whereby every year seems like a drastic difference and everyone is immediately judged as to their age status. This is normal in the human condition. It sucks, but it's normal.

You will sense a wide chasm, an abyss if you will, between you and everyone under the age of 30. They will appear as alien shape-shifters from another dimension that not only cannot be understood but they are always wrong, don't know shit and most likely need to be put sternly in their place. Hatred is a very strong word however these feelings will arise, once again, perfectly normal and it does suck.

Knowing that you are know officially 'Over the Hill' and closer to retirement age than your care free 30's is a heavy realization. You will feel a sense of mortality creeping in. Is there a God? Is there life after death? What happens when I die...? How long will I live?....Did I refill that statin prescription..? Man I hope I don't end up with some hideous incurable disease and lose all sense of motor and bowel control... These as well as an abundance of other questions and concerns will have you pondering your fate and ultimate demise. Enjoy!

Time is a curious thing and we all know it seems to move faster the older you get. Realize this- it doesn't only seem to move faster - it actually does! When you are one year old, one year is 100% of your life. When you are 5 years old, one year is 20% of your life. Do the math. When you are 50, one year is 1/50th of your life and so on and so on. Time really is moving faster for you now, embrace the accelerated ride to your death!

Has your vision gotten better? Probably not. This is the situation with all of us 50 somethings. Where are my damned glasses!? I thought I left them over here..wait a second, they're over here! Feel good that your memory is not yet completely shot to hell. You need to begin to embrace the little victories like finding your glasses, not feeling hungover and having some form of financial stability. It is all you have left.

Remember when birthdays were fun and care free? Not anymore. Your head will drop down a little, you will try not to think about it and maybe even curse people that send you birthday cards- especially if they are younger than you. Birthdays are just another reminder of how little time you have left to live.

The above listed mental aberrations can be offset in a surprising number of ways. First off, realize that you are now completely free to speak your mind to anyone, anytime about anything, for you are over 50 and officially don't give a rats ass about what anyone thinks or feels. Be thankful that you were raised in an internet free, pre-digital world. There are many advantages to this. You were more active , learned to speak to people and look them in the eye. You developed a keener sense of intuition and can smell bullshit a mile away. You know what it was like to have to go to a library, check out a book, write a check and probably have developed a strong work ethic, unlike your poor bastard under 30 clueless idiots. Moving out of your parents house was seen as an obligation around age 18 or 20, not a fear -ridden drudgery whereby you clinged to mom and dads house until you are 26 and have no sense of purpose other than useless texting and no ambition.

Privacy, in all of its forms is probably important to you. People under 30 don't even know what it is. They willfully give up all vestiges of it to post meaningless bullshit on twitter and Facebook just to be better surveilled, classified and watched by the NSA and their cronies. They are truly some stupid M'er F'ers..You will feel a sick joy in this fact. F'em, they are on their own.

The best thing about turning 50 and beyond is that you begin to dispense with the meaningless trivialities of life. The real important stuff like family, interpersonal relationships, and letting go of the unnecessary become paramount and this is a good thing. A Chaos of Clocks

Daylight Saving Time changes have never been about saving fuel or helping farmers. The idea was first introduced by a man named William Willet in 1905 in England whereby he lobbied for an extra 80 minutes of time between the months of April and October so more people could enjoy plentiful sunlight. He published a brochure called "The Waste of Daylight" espousing his idea and died in 1915 never seeing it come to fruition.

We owe the insanity of unnatural time changes to the Germans during WW II to try and conserve electricity. Britain followed soon thereafter. After the national repeal in 1919, some states and cities, including New York City and Chicago, continued to shift their clocks. National daylight saving time returned during World War II, but after its repeal three weeks after war’s end the confusing hodgepodge resumed. States and localities could start and end daylight saving whenever they pleased, a system that Time magazine (an aptly named source) described in 1963 as “a chaos of clocks.” In 1965 there were 23 different pairs of start and end dates in Iowa alone, and St. Paul, Minnesota, even began daylight saving two weeks before its twin city, Minneapolis. Passengers on a 35-mile bus ride from Steubenville, Ohio, to Moundsville, West Virginia, passed through seven time changes. In 1966, the Uniform Time Act was passed which standardized daylight saving time from

the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, although states had the option of remaining on standard time year-round.

All of the above ridiculousness and uncertainty proves the fact that we do not need nor do we benefit from Daylight Saving Time. "Springing Forward" has actually been proven to damage peoples health.

More Heart Attacks

Being tired can decrease productivity, concentration, and general well-being. Studies have found that setting the clocks forward for spring increases the risk of heart attacks, road accidents, and sleep problems:

A Swedish study in 2008 found that the risk of having a heart attack increases in the first three days after switching to DST in the spring.
Traffic accidents increase on the Monday following the start of DST. Tired drivers are the main reason.

Depression Trigger

Losing 1 hour of afternoon daylight after setting the clocks back to standard time can trigger seasonal depressions like Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or winter depression. A Danish study found an 11% increase in depression cases during after the seasonal change. The cases dissipated gradually after 10 weeks.

However, when it comes to car crashes and DST, there were less accidents after switching back to standard time, probably due to another hour sleep.

Disrupts the Body Clock

It can feel a little harder to get out of bed on Monday morning after springing forward 1 hour on the Sunday morning.
It may be difficult to get to bed at the normal time on Sunday night after the start of DST.
Children may feel tired and cranky for several days after an hour's change in their bedtime routines.

Daylight Saving Time needs to be done away for the health and prosperity of the nation. It is useless, harmful and downright annoying. No one enjoys "Springing Forward" and there is no benefit derived from it. We must end this chaos of clocks foisted on us by the German war machine and rely only upon our natural bio-rythym to tell us what time it really is.

$10,000 for the Mayors Radio Show

Thank you for not falling victim to the groupthink mentality of the Palm Coast City Council by voting against, (4-1), the mayors $10,000 expenditure for a radio show.

We live in an age of laterally scaled, freely distributed , interactive media via facebook, twitter, youtube, instagram and other collaborative sites. No one listens to am radio in Palm Coast, I can't even when I try, because I live in the L section.

That money could have gone toward street lighting, maintaining the new Old kings Road extension in the L section which is wildly overgrown or any number of other things to directly help the community.

If this is the way this new mayor rolls, she won't last long,

Don't Ask

If you have a question, think twice before asking. Questions are great opportunities for the person being asked to flaunt their perceived superiority over you. They love it and you can see the sarcasm and superior attitude begin to formulate on their face right after the question is asked. This is their way of affirming their status and speaking down to you. It is a petty power play to make them feel superior in their minds to the person asking the question.

Delays and not answering are also tactics of the feeble minded to try and get under your skin. They know damned well that the question is simple and can be dispensed of in a matter of seconds however they prefer to delay, not answer and pretend the question was not asked. This increases their perceived superiority.

Another tactic is to throw the question back at you and ask you for an answer that you do not have. This tactic is used when a manager wants to put an employee in their place. The employees asks “… hey – can you take a look at this proposal and let me know what you think? Them manager responds with,
well, what do you think?” Answering a question with a question is a well-worn tactic. Examples of this are “..well ,what is the real question?” This type of answer pre-supposes a motive behind the question that is not being presented indicating lack of trust and an expectation of ulterior motives and dishonesty in the original question.

Asking a ‘higher up’ or in this case, the attorney about what other roles and responsibilities she might have in the organization other than contracts can also get you questioned. This will be seen as an affront and an insult to the attorney. How dare you ask her about what other activities or tasks she has! How dare you speak to her at all! You will be confronted with “I heard you asked the attorney about what else she does..” “She took that as an insult about her capability…” Good, I thought. If she’s that mentally weak, maybe her capability is lacking.

The biggest problem with all of this cloak and dagger, smoke and mirrors chess game of asking a simple question is the culture of distrust and negativity it breeds in the people that run a company, its managers and employees. Lower rung employees instantly glom onto the preferred method of answering questions with a question, deflecting and becoming obtuse and sarcastic. Before you know it, the entire staff is a miserable, aloof and confrontational bunch whose presence you cannot stand while the mere sight of them makes you want to take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Attorneys

Should we all bow down and worship the ground attorneys walk on? Does an individual become a demi-god when they become an attorney? You would think that they do based on their superior , holier - than - thou attitudes toward the lowly non- attorneys in the world.

Ever notice that attorneys NEVER call you back or respond to you as other people would in the normal non attorney world? I should just send a letter of apology to every attorney in the state , apologizing for not being an attorney and existing in the same mortal plane as them. Is the attorneys status one of Overlord and Alpha-Omega in the human realm? Are we even allowed to speak to them without their express consent? Next time I pass an attorney in the hallway I will simply get on my knees and shield my mortal eyes from them. I certainly don't want to upset them, for they hold the keys to life, death and your income within our existence.

When having to work with an attorney at your company ,you might find that THEY are the ones that call the shots, make the decisions and determine your income and ability to succeed. Not the President of the company, not the CEO and certainly not a manager or a VP - its the attorney that decides. When communicating with the attorney ,(if you are allowed that privilege), by all means be as direct as possible and make sure your communication is absolutely perfect - or you will have hell to pay. If they ask you for help with a particular definition or nuance of a company description, you better make sure you get it right! If you don't, you will be summarily chastised, scolded and berated in the permanent record of a legal document. Then you will be scolded again if you email them but do not properly upload the correction in the exact place of the document even though it was an informal request. They determine reality! It is not the normal reality we are used to - it is Attorney Reality - which changes as they see fit and will be lorded over you every chance they get. God help you if you have to submit a one sentence clarification and a change of a number of usernames which is really no big deal and easily approved by management. The attorney will sit on this 30 second change for 3-5 days before deciding whether or not your deal will be approved. It is their nature to continually lord over you and control as much of your income , destiny and sanity as possible.

Do not ever ask the attorney a question outside of your exacting definition of your role within an organization. You will be quickly told, "..you are not allowed to know that.." and "..I can't answer that question, you are not supposed to be asking that.."as though we are 5 year olds and need a spanking. The Attorney Reality follows them as they waltz through the halls of your building with superior stares and lofty looks. They truly believe that they are above the common rabble! Their belief is that they are Gods among men! I believe that their lack of response and time delays for simple one word changes in contracts is due to them justifying their existence and perpetuating Attorney Reality on all unsuspecting non- attorneys. Just like the Shamans in ancient villages that danced around the fire in colorful tribal headdress and paint and wailed for hours under the influence of hallucinogenic plants - the attorneys do the same by delaying, waiting and generally not communicating with the common folk. Their lack of communication and unbearable delays are their shamanic ritual to let you know that THEY are in charge, they determine reality and only they can provide the solutions!
It is truly a demented and twisted way to make a living., for it is based on delay, trickery and lofty perceptions of regular people that happen to have passed the bar and now call themselves attorneys.

Shamanic ceremonies end in a catharsis of the shaman as he twists and turns and takes on the spirits to determine a better outcome for the village, the attorney is no different. His mind twists and turns over the obvious and simple and he or she makes a big deal out of sitting down and reading a document which he or she will eventually sign off on in a week or so, this is their dance and catharsis they perform for all unwitting non attorneys. They just want to make sure that you believe you are getting your moneys worth, hence the delay, the wrangling and all the drama leading up to a 30 second decision that they know can be completed quickly. Without the delay, the dance and the cathartic act of signing off on a trivial detail to a contract, how else would the attorney be able to prove his or her status of demi-god amongst men? They need the drama, the shamanic ceremony and the cathartic act of signing which we are so happy to finally get that we continue worshiping the self appointed demi-gods as the village elders of our time when in reality they are nothing more than overpaid shills perpetuating a false reality and an overblown ego.
