Have you ever wondered why some auctions get hundreds of visitors while yours only gets 12 ?

The secret is in the keywords used to promote the website and how they relate to the buyers search query and the difference between selling your product for next to nothing and receiving top dollar for your auction.

Let me tell you how we discovered the power of this strategy. Our firm began selling website businesses on ebay but despite offering superior designs, better base products and lower reserves, our sites were selling for a fraction of what other sites in our category was selling for. For example, our site with a superior design would sell for $75 while a similar site would sell with less features would sell for $600. Being the type of person who gets really frustrated as to why this was happening, I began investigating the other sellers who were selling for so much money compared to ours.

Then it occurred to me that ebay relies heavily on their own search engine to help buyers find products. In fact I read the 80% of all buyers use the basic search tool to find their listing. So I thought, What would happen if I ran my spyder against the site that my competitor has sold for so much more than I was selling for.

The results were astonishing.

In our category, commerce websites, his listing was packed with key search words that without my spyder I never would have known existed. Words like “ website business “ word prominent in his listings, where they were nearly non existent in my listing.

I then revised a 7 day auction I was running and changed the title to contain the key words “ website business for sale “ and added that term as often as I could in the site without making to too obvious. I also reduced the use of non essential keywords the my SE Tool Box was showing as heavily used. I resubmitted the site, and almost instantly, I went from receiving 10 visitors a day to receiving 35 visitors an hour.

The moral of the lesson is that if you apply the same strategy to your own category, you will achieve the same results.

Here are some tips on how to make this selling strategy work for you.

1. keep and eye on your competitors auctions using the watch feature in your “ My Ebay “ section.

2. When a product sells for a really good price, check the traffic on their hit counter. If they have a lot of traffic, analyze the key words being used in their site. The se tool box can do this instantly for you.

So you live in a country where Paypal account is available to you, but you can’t withdraw your fund to your local bank account? If this is you, then read on.

For some reason or another, Paypal decided to make themselves available in some countries that they do not fully trust – you can open a Paypal account, BUT your money in your Paypal account CANNOT be withdrawn to your local banks. It doesn’t make sense I know, but that’s just the way it is.

You can of course always find other merchant account options such as 2checkout, moneybooker, worldpay, etc. But let’s face it, as much as we hate it, Paypal is the most recognized, trusted (for some reason), and most widely used “merchant account” on the planet right now. And if you’re really serious about making a living on the internet, you MUST have a Paypal account. If you don’t already have one, go to Paypal to sign-up (for FREE) and get your own account. Make sure you sign-up for the premier or business account if you plan to use Paypal for business purposes in the near future.

So here’s how to get around the problem we talked about earlier.

What you need in order to be able to withdraw your hard earned money from your Paypal account is a US bank account. You can do a search on Google and you will see a gazillion listings offering you a US bank account. But one thing they all have in common is – YOU HAVE TO PAY for the accounts.

What I’m going to show you here is for FREE. That’s right, FREE OF CHARGE to open a US bank account.

By law, you are not allowed to open a US bank account if you are a non-resident of the United States of America. But as in everything else, there’s a loophole, and here it is: non-residents are ALLOWED to open a brokerage account in the US if you have a trading account with an options or investment firm in the US. This is the only way that I know of to be able to get a US Bank account for FREE and you don’t even have to trade stocks or options.

1. Go to www.etrade.com
Download the application form for non-resident as well as the tax withholding form. Print the forms out and fill them out by hand. I will post a sample of a filled out application forms in my nest posting. So be sure to come back to check it out.

2. Make sure you choose to open a brokerage account in the application. This will allow you to:
a. Trade securities
b. Issue checks
c. Make transfers
d. Make withdrawals by debit card
You can’t, however, open a regular savings or checking account and your money will not gain interest with a brokerage account.

3. When you’re done filling up the forms, mail them to either one of these addresses:

Once you have all the information needed, you can start logging in to your account and get familiarize with the system. Now you can transfer our Paypal money to your new E-Trade account. To be able to do this, you need this information below to register new bank account with Paypal:

Account Number: Use your new account number
Account Type: Checking Account

Once you have your money from Paypal in your E-Trade account, you’ll need a way to withdraw the money. Just simply fill-up the application form either in your welcome kit or apply directly online.

1. Become a seller, sell a lot of stuff and get lots of positive ratings.
2. Become a buyer/bidder, win/buy a lot of stuff and get lots of positive ratings.

But one thing you might face is that not too many buyer/seller trust a new eBay member with “0” rating. Your bid will not be accepted as a buyer, and/or your listing might NEVER get bids from buyers. So how? HOW?? HOW???

If you have been following news lately, XBOX 360 Microsoft’s next generation console went on sale at midnight on 22nd November. Many people queued up to make sure they can get hold of the console and experience the hype that has been brewing as times goes by before the official launched. Many people too went home empty handed and disappointed as stores were allocated that small amount of consoles. It doesn’t help that now the XBOX 360 is facing some shortage due to the overwhelming response. Try Amazon, Wal-Mart or Best Buy websites they are listed as sold out or at best limited stock.

In the first few days of sales at auction website EBay, the price even sky rocket to over US$1000 per unit. Key in XBOX 360 and search for it in EBay and you can see that the prices now average for about over US$700, still many times mark-up of the original retail price of US$399. Auction sellers in EBay have been smiling all the way to the bank as they have cashed in on the vacuum that the retail stores have failed to provide.

I have been wondering how those geniuses able to get hold of the consoles and resell it for quick profits. So I was searching and digging the internet for information and finally I was able to come out with a list of company that provides the consoles at wholesale price.

What so great about this, you might think! Well if you look at EBay again, those auction sellers are selling this information at hundred dollars! These are highly sought after information in EBay. Believe it or not, some of these companies are selling the consoles at US$275 in bulk and they are going fast. XBOX 360 is scheduled to be launch in Europe and Japan in early December. Imagine the frenzy is going to start all over again with Christmas seasons drawing near.

The above point is EXTREMELY important! The title of your article will decide it's success or failure -- plain and simple!

Many ebayers list an item to sell on eBay and don't pay much attention to their ebay title and this is a surefire way to auction failure.

Ebay item titles are extremely important, your must be spat out in the ebay search results or your item will not get the exposure you need to ensure sales.

What surprises me is that there are millions of ebayers out there who don't even know this free tool exists let alone use it!

Ok, so lets get down to the juicy part, my favourite ebay tool has to be the advanced search function.

I NEVER list an item on ebay without first using the advanced search function.

Using advanced search function you can view every single item that is currently listed or ended on ebay.

Because we want to know the price your item can possibly sell for and we want to see which words the ebayer seller used in their item titles THAT SOLD.

Look to to the top right of any eBay page, you will see Advanced Search.

On clicking this option you are presented with the Search: Find Items page.

At Enter Keyword or Item Number insert relevant words to your item, use one word if possible get a broad list of results.

We are only interested in the items that ended, so tick the box underneath that says "Completed Listings Only" and click search.

Ebay will now output a return of results matching your keyword that ended on ebay.

This search result does not sort the items by sold and unsold. So a quick way to know is look at the monetary amounts, GREEN it sold and RED didn't sell.

We want the magic words for the Green price amounts, because they sold and we want our item to sell, so by using the sold items we can see use the same successful keywords.

Now scroll down each one and find all the green items, and look for common words in the item titles.

It's a good idea to sort the list into price order, ie. click on price until the list is displaying the highest prices down to the lowest prices.

Write a list of common words, but don't include the, and, of, at etc.

As a quick example say I was selling an ebook and my initial title was "Growing Bonsai Ebook"

I do an advanced search on ebay, using bonsai, completed listings only.

I can see the following relevant words in sold items title title.

Tree, Japanese, Cutter, Tool Kit, Garden, Pot, Shaping, Learn, Guide

Now I have some good relevant keywords for my title that I know sell.

If you don't have relevant keywords in your item title, you item won't show up, won't be seen, won't sell. and your item wont be seen. So by doing keyword research you are upping your auction's success rate.

Remember, don't spam your title, only include words that are relevant to your item. eBay does not allow you to use irrelevant words and will remove your item.

Back to my example, my original title: "Growing Bonsai Ebook"

Make Money on eBay - Sell those Auction Listings 1st Time, Every Time!

If you noticed, I've been posting articles instead of writing lately. Reason being that I've been a bit busy. Anyway, here's another reading that I find good.

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to an eBay seller is to list multiple products, then to wait for 7-days, only to find that there were no bids for the items. To make money on eBay requires that virtually every item listed becomes an item sold. Not only are there the selling expenses, but there is also no income from sales! Whenever the percentage of products sold-to-listed begins to dip, begin by examining the product that is being sold. Often it comes down to a new product that is simply not in-demand.

If that is not the case, examine pricing. Most eBay buyers are very conscious of pricing. As a result, it is important to position product prices so that they will meet with buyer approval. Make money on eBay by examining the following:

Auction Start Price: That old statement that starting auctions at very low prices results in more sales has proven true for us. (CAUTION: Sometimes we have ended up selling items that costed us $25. for the $0.99 start price. Know your costs and the amount that you must receive before setting starting prices.) While there have been some cases where we lost money, overall, we make more by starting our auctions at lower prices. Give it a try.
Fixed Price: The same holds true with fixed prices. While there are cases where you simply must place a certain fixed price on an item, as a seller, the goal is to be able to sell at prices that meet the wishes of your buyers.
Store Price: If you have a store and place items in that store that are priced too high, you will not make sales.

Make money on eBay by going back to the basics. If a product did not sell, go back to the basics of listing. This includes:

Title: You are allotted 55 characters for your auction title. Be sure that you use all 55! Title selection is critical to insuring that the maximum number of potential buyers view your auction. Be sure to include the obvious information such as Brand Name, Size (If possible and appropriate), What it is, Condition (New, New In Box, New In Packaging, No Tags) unless it is used, and Color.
Body of the Listing: The body of the listing should include everything listed in the title. Be sure to including the condition of the item. Add information that helps the buyer understand the details. A great source of information is often the packaging and tags. If the product has a high suggested retail value, include that information as well. (Make sure that you are accurate in the suggested retail price that you state.) Flaws and imperfections, no matter how small, should be noted.
Errors: Make sure that your spelling is correct. Space the wording to make it easier for the potential buyer to read your listing. Set the margins so that the final listing looks appealing. Include key words that may draw shoppers to your auction.
Picture Quality: You know the saying; a picture is worth a thousand words. A bad picture won't make sales. If it is name brand, we always try to include a picture of the tag to verify that it is genuine. Many times buyers will overlook that detail in the written description, but they see it in the picture.
Feedback: Feedback matters! If you have 100% positive feedback, be sure to write that on every auction. Include a few of the feedback comments that you're most proud of right onto each item's description page.
About Me page: You'll be surprised how much you can reassure bidders just by creating an About Me page. The fact is that a good About Me Page will make auction sales. Follow eBay’s rules carefully.
Terms and Conditions: Be sure to make the 'small print' visible on all your auctions. Provide details about shipping times and costs. Your refund policy and other key business practices should also be clearly stated. This can help to build buyer confidence. If you ship internationally, state the basic term and conditions for those sales.
Payment Methods Accepted: We feel that accepting PayPal is a must in the overall formula of achieving the highest possible percentage of successful actions. If you accept other payment methods be sure to include those as well.

Make money on eBay by selling every item the first time that you list that item.

After writing my own ebook, I knew that simply having a website to promote my new product would not cut it. However, I have to be honest. It was with great fear and trepidation that I dove into the marketing online “minefield.”

Why “minefield”?

Well, before my ebook was finished, I had done quite a bit of research into the many marketing options open to me and it was quite overwhelming to say the least. Many of the products I investigated sounded great but either the learning curve seemed too steep or the price of the product was too high. At first I felt defeated but I kept searching for a method to market my ebook that would not “break the bank.”

Anyway, here are a couple of ideas for marketing your ebook once you have your website up and running.

1. Submit your website to the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) You can submit your website yourself without the aid of a submission service.

2. Write an article that is relevant to your ebook and submit it to one of the top article directories (such as the one this article is featured in). If you’re intimidated by having to write an article, please understand that the article itself only has to be 250-300 words in length.

Also, please remember to include your web address in the resource box of your article so that prospective buyers can contact you.

Make money on eBay? Really??!! But I thought eBay is the site where people buy stuff. How can you make money? OK. Two ways (that I know of) that we can make money on eBay:

Sell your stuff or other people's stuff on eBay

Become an affiliate to eBay and make money when other people either sign-up or buy stuff on eBay.

VOILA!! There's your answer!

Now for our purposes here, I'm going to talk about answer No. 2: Become an affiliate to eBay and make money when other people either sign-up or buy stuff on eBay - answer No. 1 is just so obvious isn't it? If you don't have an account with eBay, you can go to their site by clicking on the eBay logo anywhere on this page and sign up to start selling stuff and MAKE MONEY.

OK. Now I'm pretty sure that many of you are not aware that eBay actually has an affiliate program. This is because eBay is just so synonym with buying and selling stuff online only. But trust me on this. eBay REALLY DO HAVE AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM.

Here's how you do it:

Go to ebay affiliate page and sign-up
You'll be directed to Commission Junction (a company that handles the commissions for eBay)
Finish-up the sign-up process and you'll receive your user ID, password, account number and all the other good stuff.
Once you've logged into Commission Junction, you'll be able to see that there are A LOT of other affiliate programs that you can join and make more money!!

Affiliate Programs - What is It & How Can Bloggers Make Money From it?

Today I'm going to try to share a little bit of what I know and understand on Affiliate Programs and how bloggers like ourselves can benefit and actually make some money (if not millions like some blogging gurus claim) by joining these affiliate programs.

First of, what in the world is this Affiliate Program that we keep hearing about? Well, to put it simply, Affiliate Program is:

a program that lets you sell other people's or company's products and services. In return, you will be paid a commission on every successful sale that you help generate.
the commission to an affiliate could range from as small as 1% to as big as 95%.

As an affiliate, you will be given what is called an "affiliate link" by the person/company you are helping to promote. This "affiliate link" is the special URL unique to you that will help track your sales with the company.

Affiliate programs usually have what they call a tier or level. Besides earning from sales you help generate, you can also profit from sales that another affiliate who signed up through your affiliate link generate. So you see now why this Affiliate Program is such a HOT thing in the internet money making race.

Now, How can us bloggers benefit from this phenomenon that is Affiliate Program? First you have to have a blog. Since you're reading this, I assume that you have one already. But if you don't, there are a lot of blog sites that you can actually join for FREE. I'll list a few here:

Once you have a blog, start your postings. The very most important thing that you need to know when you start a blog with making money in mind is: DO WHAT YOU LOVE. If you're into soccer, start a blog on soccer with articles, and news and updates. If you can't live without your iPod, do a blog about the wonderful world of iPods. If you drink, eat, sleep and live golf, post articles and news and updates on that most wonderful game ever invented by men. You get the idea? Once again, DO WHAT YOU LOVE.

Now on to the money making part of it. Join an affiliate program. Where can I find such program I hear you ask. Just do a Google search on "Affiliate Program". I'm sure you'll find more than enough Affiliate Programs to last all of us 10 lifetimes. I will however list just a few here to get us started in the right direction:

Since the internet and your blog is online 24 hours a day all year round, you will even make money IN YOUR SLEEP!! Now isn't that just wonderful??

Is themyspacebank.com - The Guide to Making Money on Myspace a Big Fat SCAM???

Hello fellow bloggers and internet money makers,

I came across this one guide to making money on MySpace at themyspacebank.com site while browsing and searching through the heaps of money making schemes on the internet (I'm sure you're all too familiar with this).

As all of you have experienced I'm sure, I have bought, subsribed and even "stolen" one too many so called online or internet money making money systems. We do this believing that the system that we have just bought is the "magic pill" or the "genie in a box" that will answer all our internet money making woes and problems only to find out that they're just another piece of crap wrapped in a nice packaging complete with a beautiful flowery red ribbon around it.

After 2-3 (or rather 20-30 in my case) disappointments, we soon realized that making money from the internet is not as easy as these so called internet money making "gurus" make them out to be.

You can't just press "Enter" and expect to receive a big fat cheques every month.
You can't really just work for a couple hours once and expect to see millions of dollars in your bank account the next day - even though I'm still wishing that this is TRUE!! LOL...
You can't really start making money on the internet without ANY CAPITAL - you at least need some money to pay for the internet connection!!!
You can't really write a pre-sell, squeeze page, landing page, etc once and expect people to start flocking to your sites with credit cards in hand and start placing orders.

To make money from the internet, you actually have to WORK!! "Oh, NO!!" we all say, but that's the hard truth. The old cliche of "Nothing is for free" really is true. So, realizing this simple hard fact, I started to look for a system that can help me make money from the internet with the least amount of work (keep in mind that we still have to work).

So anyway, I took a look at this "make money on Myspace" and thought "Oh crap, not another get rich quick money making scheme." I looked at the site expecting to see the same usual BS that they sell to people like us, BUT to my surprise, I was hooked!

Making money on MySpace is to me, different from all the other make money online system that I've came across over the past few years. I saw that:

this is not one of those "Make a $1,000 a day doing nothing!" programs (remember that we actually have to do some work?)
they do not leave out the relevant information that's important to make money on Myspace
the Myspace bank sytem is fully automated (after you do all the grunt work of course)
most importantly (to me at least) is that they do not promise that you will make MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in a blink of an eye. YOU dictate how much money you will earn depending on your effort!!

Anyway, don't just take my word on this. I suggest that you guys take a look at this guide to make money on Myspace at themyspacebank.com and decide for yourselves.
