Specially decorated Gen2 for St. Patrick's Day

This is one major event which I think GUINNESS and all the people involved in the St. Patrick's Day celebration did a fantastic job. It was a 3-day citywide celebration but I only went for the 2nd day of the event.

Parking spots were allocated at Hartamas and those decorated Gen 2 are used to chauffeur us from the car park area to Souled Out. VIP treatment; very nice. It was pretty early and most of us were exchanging greetings and what not. It's been a LONG time since I last saw some of them.

The place was full of St. Patrick's Day celebration decor. Food was great but I was busy eating and chatting till I didnt take photos of what was served. Apart from that, I was also mispronounciating words. My excuse?

IT'S THE GUINNESS!

Yes indeed, it's the GUINNESS. Just kidding, I was still sober but it sounds like a good tagline right? It was sort of like "free-flow" but we have to use vouchers given in our goodie bag to exchange for a cup(or a pint?) of GUINNESS. I'll show you guys the vouchers later on.

Not long after, the weather wasn't on our side. It started to rain which kinda sucks for us; we're stuck outside of Souled Out under a canopy. The good thing is, we still have GUINNESS and friends to enjoy it with :) DRINK UP!

So we hung out under the canopy since we're not able to move around anyway. Even though we couldn't see Douglas Lim and Jenhan doing their stand up inside of Souled Out, we could hear them from the outside. Time was about 8.00pm and that means it was time for GUINNESS BIGGEST pub crawl. But before we made our way to Changkat Bukit Bintang, GUINNESS Biggest pub crawl started off with a GUINNESS Pub Crawl parade!

There were 4 buses to chauffeur us from Hartamas to Changkat; Bus A, B, C(which I'm on) and D. To make the experience even awesomer, GUINNESS even had help from the police. Some were to guide traffic while we had a few police on their bikes escorting us in order for us to reach Changkat Bukit Bintang as soon as possible. We were like a bunch of menteris and menterians on the way to Changat Bukit Bintang in style.

Our first stop was at a pub called Nevermind. We chilled at Nevermind for awhile before going around on our scavenger hunt. What better way to enter the night with more GUINNESS.

Once we were done with drinking, we started working on our scavenger hunt objectives as there were two mini Ipads(main prize) and 24 cans of GUINNESS to be won!

Another challenge was to prepare our own pint of GUINNESS. So I tried to observe how she did it.

Okay so I had some help from Ben. Well, I got to know him from the Glenmorangie event last year. I doubt he remembers me but I still said "Hi, What's up, How are you?"; the usual. He's really a nice guy. He gave me some pointers on how to prepare my own GUINNESS.

While waiting for the lucky draw to happen, I was walking around, checking out the crowd when suddenly, someone grabbed my hand. He was DJ Daryl B. He probably thought I was one of the official photographers as I was walking around with my DSLR. LoL. But anyway....

It was an awesome night and GUINNESS really went all out for St. Patrick's Day. I believe we all enjoyed ourselves. Despite the earlier downpour, the night was still young and we drank our hearts out. Well, I only had about 6 cups of GUINNESS.

These were the vouchers given to us in the goodie bag. If I'm not mistaken, there were probably about 6 to 8 servings per person. I used about 2 before leaving for Changkat Bukit Bintang and I couldn't find my vouchers in the bus while we were on the way to KL. So I thought probably someone took my vouchers. However, thanks to Marcky, Hitomi, and Kelvin, they were more than willing to share their vouchers with me for more GUINNESS goodness. I mean, they couldn't finish it anyway :P Still, thanks guys. :)

All I have to say is thank you GUINNESS and to everyone who has worked behind the scene(PR peeps?) to organize such an awesome and successful event. We were really treated like VIPs and to have police escorting you to KL, it not something that you get to see/have easily.

Williams Mamak - Farewell and thanks for the memories

This is going to be a post without any pictures. Yeap, it is going to be pure text because I'm just gonna pen down afew words about Williams Mamak.

For those of you who don't know, there is a mamak at SS26 and that mamak place goes by a few names. Williams, William, Warong Williams, William's mamak. Everyone knows that place. William is a guy that everyone knows especially when it comes to ordering your food and paying for your meal. I used to enjoy eating at that place. Heck, I visited it quite often during my college days.

A wide range of food selection, a huge oven infront of the mamak alongside with a naan making section, it was an attraction for passerbys. Food portion was huge and the food tasted pretty good. As mentioned before, I hung around that place quite often during my college days; mostly for dinner and the occasional supper where my friends and I will hang out after our gaming session(good ol' Counter Strike). Prices back then was reasonable. The place was dirty, next to a drain but yet, it is packed most of the time. You even have police officers dropping by for a meal or two.

Its been awhile since I dined at Williams. Ever since I moved to Puchong, had a girlfriend, graduated, started working, started working out, and got married, I RARELY go to Williams. Afterall, homecooked meals are always better(doh).

Now that Williams has moved to a new place(still at SS26), the place is at a "cleaner" location I suppose. I would only dine at Williams if a friend wishes to but other than that, I've never thought of having a meal there.

However, I have made a mistake for choosing that place last Friday. I decided to stop at Williams to grab a bite after an event. What a mistake! Here is why. I ordered teh ais, indo mee single with ayam pandan(fried pandan chicken). Once done, I went to William to pay for my meal.

As usual, I greeted William:

"William, berapa?"(William, How much?").

He then asked me what I had and I told him. His reply?

"RM16"

In my mind, I was like WHAT THE FUCK? RM16? So I asked him what is the breakdown. Why RM16 when I only ordered indo mee single with ayam pandan?

In reply, he said

Indo mee RM4, you makan ayam pandan kan?(you ate the fried pandan chicken right?). Ayam pandan RM10, teh ais RM2.

So okay, I paid for my meal and went back into my car, cursing at myself. Why did I choose Williams. I KNEW things will be expensive. But I only ordered a plate of indo mee(single portion that comes with an egg) with a piece of fried pandan chicken. And being at a mamak I was expecting my meal to be somewhere between RM8~RM12. Is that reasonable for what I've ordered? RM4 for my indo mee, that's fine but RM10 for a piece of chicken? To make matters worse, what I had wasn't really a piece of fried pandan chicken. No. It was more like a piece of fried log with generous amount of salty seasoning. I did not enjoy it at all. It wasn't tender to begin with and it was extremely salty(I did not finish it too, too salty). Definitely not worth RM10.

With that said, its not that I stinge alot. I HAVE money. The main question here is, "Is it worth it?" If the chicken was nice, I probably would have dusted it off my shoulder by saying "Okay lah, once in awhile only". I could have gone to McDonald's with RM16 and still have money to spare!

Wait a minute. Andrew, it's only one bad experience and you're bitching about it? Calling it quits?

Oh no, no, no. I think the food there isn't as good as before. And for the price that I might be paying for, I would rather take my money and dine elsewhere. For those of you who still enjoy going there, go ahead. It's your money, your choice. I have absolute no qualms about that.

But for me, that Friday will be the last time I'm dining at Williams. Thanks for all the memories while it lasted during my college days.

And you know what, fuck the farewell. I'm just not going back there any more.

Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock - Nasi Lemak

This is the saving grace that I was talking about in my previous post. The place is called Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock. It is alittle hidden from the main roads but this kopitiam is located at Oasis Ara Damansara. A friend of mine brought me to this place because he wanted to surprise me with something; the nasi lemak. At that time, it was fairly quiet as there weren't as many shops/offices as it is now.

This was back in August 2012

Without setting any expectations, I went ahead with my order of nasi lemak with ayam goreng which costs RM9.50 while others tried the Nasi Goreng Ali. As I've mentioned it before, the restaurant wasn't crowded as Oasis Ara Damansara was still quite vacant at that time so our food came pretty fast.

Looks familiar? Yeap. The taste is 99.99% similar to Village Park but with a nicer tasting sambal. Some might differ but anyway, for me, they are the same. The only difference is I don't have to put up with the crappy service, and inconsistant food portion at Village Park in Damansara Utama.

I know food presentation is not a main criteria but if you observe how the staffs at Village Park prepares your plate of nasi lemak, its basically a fast food type of preparation; throw in everything and serve.

May be its difficult to notice the portion of rice given by Village Park and AMAH but just by looking at the pictures, which is more inviting? I rest my case.

Nasi goreng Ali was nice too. Just be warned though, it is very spicy. So if you would like to try this and to be on the safe side, I suggest you tell them "kurang pedas(less spicy)" when ordering.

On a separate visit to AMAH, I tried their Mee Kari; malay style of curry laksa. Taste wise, pretty authentic for a malay style curry mee. They are quite generous with the rest of the ingredients as well; prawns, chicken, fish balls and etc.

The ambiance is much better for a meal. It feels like a kopitiam and the staffs are not rushing around and trying to push each and every order out like its a fast food chain. Food presentation and portion seems to be consistent. The nasi lemak is slightly more expensive compared to Village Park but for the service, food and portion consistency, I would rather dine at Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock.

Yes, I would drive a little further and pay alittle more to have some quality time with loved ones over a nice meal rather than checking on my orders every 10-15 minutes, getting all worked up and complain about food portion LOL.
Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock is located at the same row as Affin Bank but its at the other end. Quite easy to find once you're at Oasis Ara Damansara. Let's say you've entered to Oasis Ara Damansara, drive straight till you see Affin Bank on your right. That's when you turn right(Affin Bank will be on your left now) and drive on till you spot AMAH on your left. It's an endlot restaurant.

Village Park - What happened? Greed?

By the time I'm done with this post, it would seem like I've been complaining about food outlets huh? To be honest, that's not really the case. I do have some GOOD food reviews coming up but first, this is about my favourite place for nasi lemak; well, ex-favourite place.

I used to recommend friends and loved ones about this place for nasi lemak but I think I'll stop doing that. I'm kinda appalled by the quality of service, food preparation and the current ambiance of the place from what it used to be. It's been awhile since I went to Village Park for nasi lemak and with that, my wifey and I went there on Saturday; at about 10am.

As soon as I got near the place, I was shocked. Not only was it extremely crowded, it was dumbfounding. Tables were set up not only infront of the place, but BOTH on the left and right side of their restaurant(on the road). Okay, let's not spoil the mood. We got a parking spot and went ahead with our plan; to have nasi lemak.

Luckily, we got a table within afew minutes. This is where the horror began. NO ONE came to take our orders. Even when I called for them to clear the table, they kept saying "Nanti Nanti, banyak orang"(hold on, hold on. There are too many people). No shit Sherlock. There are TOO MANY tables. While waitng for my table to be cleared(and for someone to take my order), you are surrounded by angry patrons and the staffs are running around like it's a bus station; chaotic.

"Mana saya punya Nasi Lemak? Sudah 20 minit?" *Where is my nasi lemak, it has been 20 mins
"Mana saya punya Teh? Sudah order tadi" *Where is my cup of tea? I've ordered it earlier
"Mana saya punya Roti bakar?" *Where is my toast bread?

And the list goes on. It's simple. Everyone was agitated. Instead of chit chatting over a meal, everyone was waiting and checking on their orders over and over again.

When our food came, it looked like the staff just scooped some rice with their hands and slap it unto your plate. Utterly, a plate of disappoinment. The food presentaion and portion was horrible. You could tell it was just prepared in a fast manner; just to get the food out. I could buy a packet of nasi lemak from a roadside stall, and the amount of rice would be MORE than what was served. Why am I paying RM8.30 for this?

Anyway, we got our food, ate and it was time for payment. The line for payment is long, which is fine with me. While waiting in line, I was observing on how they were dishing up the nasi lemak on the hot plate to be served. It's like a fast food process; Slap some rice on, throw in the chicken, sprinkle in some peanuts, fried anchovies and sambal. They don't care how it's presented and they don't even bother with consistency of rice portion. What happened to the nice-bowl-shaped amount of rice?

And when you're at the counter to make payment, you'll see pictures of so-called celebrities and political figures dining at their place. Not forgetting the Time Out KL Food Award which they won too. I don't think those will matter if the quality of your service and food presentation is neglected.

Obviously, I don't major in hospitality or worked in a food and beverage industry but by watching some of the foodie programs on AFC, I think people tend to forget that it's not just about quality of the food but the quality of the service and food presentation as well.

Village Park used to be a place where family and friends can gather to have a good meal. Despite the long wait, people were still willing to wait patiently. It's a family restaurant and not a fast food outlet, it doesn't have to be complicated; you simply have too many tables and your staffs can't manage! Show some ~~love and passion~~ quality control for the food.

I think one word sums it all; GREED.

If Village Park was the only place for such nasi lemak, I would have no choice but to go there whenever I have the urge to have their nasi lemak.

But guess what? THERE IS ONE SAVING GRACE. I have another place for nasi lemak. The taste is 99.9999999999% similar to the one at Village Park. Alittle more expensive(by RM1.50 or so) but you get good service and awesome food portion(and CONSISTENT too). Also, the sambal is nicer too; alittle spicier.

Burger Kaw Kaw at Mayang Oasis

I blogged about Burger Kaw Kaw back in March 2012 and I got quite a number of views on that post alone. 5 digits to be exact. It was about my experience of a 3 hours wait for a burger. Despite the long wait, everyone was waiting patiently for it. The picture above is what it used to be and if I'm not mistaken, they have built a new stall at the current location(Wangsa Maju).

The new change for Burger Kaw Kaw is not just a brand new stall but it has ALOT of branches now. And lucky me, they have an outlet at Mayang Oasis which is near where I live. Burger Kaw Kaw is now easily available minus the long queue which they used to have.

As grateful as I am, I find that the standards have dropped. Don't get me wrong. It doesn't taste bad but from what I tasted previously, the taste and portion isn't up to par. Don't understand what I mean? Let me explain. As advertised by McDonald and all the major fast food chains around the world, "Product images are for illustration purposes only". So of course I knew what I'm getting is going to look different in terms of looks, food preparation and food portion. But I was quite disappointed with the chicken patty.

This was taken last year back in March.

This was what me and my friend Marcky had when we first tried it; and yes, after a freaking 3 hours wait. It wasn't out of this world but still, it was nice. So we decided to try it again since it was near our place at Mayang Oasis.

Just a note: I'm not using the QUALITY of the PHOTO to judge. I was using my iPhone 4. :P

And this was another Burger Kaw Kaw session that I had with another group of friends on another occasion.

The chicken patty looks awesome right(bottom right - Double chicken patties)? Well, it tastes alright, cripsy but there was more flour than chicken meat. My friend had to literally PEEL the layers of fried flour before digging into the meaty parts; Just like how some who likes to eat their KFC chicken without the fried skin.

I even commented on their facebook page but I didn't get a reply. I said "Please check on the Mayang Oasis branch for consistency". So after all the food reviews, articles and newspaper publishing on Burger Kaw Kaw, I guess this is how things end up.

I can almost hear some readers/Burger Kaw Kaw fans going "Kalau tak suka, jangan makan lah?" "~~Sial punya budak cina~~"

Bukan macamtu bro. I hanya nak kongsi mengenai burger ayamtu. Masih sedap....I cuma kena makan semua tepung tepungtu dulu :P. Kalau aku nak makan kat Burger Kaw Kaw lain hari, aku akan pesan burger dengan daging lembu je. Senang cite kan? Oleh itu, jangan salah faham bro bro and sis sis sekalian.

Oh my Bahasa Malaysia. It's been awhile. Should I read more Berita Harian or that car magazine "KERETA"? But anyway, for the price I'm paying. I think I would rather make my own burgers or dine elsewhere. Afterall, we're the one with the buying power *FUH! ECONOMICS*

I was out for lunch yesterday and when me and my colleagues went to our usual hawker place, we were in for a shock. Hopefully no one got injured. I wonder how long it will take to "fix" it. I guess the upcoming election will help speed up the process, hopefully.

This place one of the try have when you're Batu Pahat!

It has been a really long time since I blogged about food. Now that I think of it, food review sounds so damn formal when its from my personal dining session instead of invited food reviews. Anyway, this was a year back; yeah, it has been that long before I decided to blog about it. This restaurant is at Batu Pahat and happens to be at the same taman where I used to live during my primary - secondary school days.

After all these years, the place changed alittle; the only same thing is, they're still at the same place LOL. Locals would know Ah Hua's Rou Chui Mien(minced pork noodle) but for others, it might be hard to find the place. My father used to hate this place because he thought the place was unclean but anyway, that was a REALLY REALLY long time ago. Things have changed now(doh) and the taste was so freaking nostalgic especially when the taste is still so consistent after all these years.

Apparently they sell yong tau foo now as well. A good combo if you asked me.

To be honest, I don't recall who does the cooking and stuff but this uncle seems to be the one lah. We ordered the minced pork noodles with some side dishes of yong tau foo. There was a crowd but it didn't take long before our food arrived.

Looks like any ordinary minced pork noodle right? The magic happens AFTER you mix everything up.

After mixing it with the chili paste

I've made myself so hungry from just looking at the picture. The noodles was nicely done with the usual springy texture. The sauce was very fragrant and it made the noodles and mince pork stand out even more. Their special chili paste also gave it a nice spicy flavor to every mouthful but don't put too much as it can be quite spicy. I suggest you try a little before adding more chili paste.

I don't have the address to the place but I do know that the Jalan and Taman name is called Jalan Ampang Jaya and Taman Ampang Jaya. I've created a google map for the location. Hope it helps

Warning, viewer discretion is advised.

I'll admit that I've ate in front of my laptop a couple of times but I have NEVER spilled any drink or gravy on to it. No matter how I avoid that, there's still a shitload of dust hanging around. So I've been ignoring the cleanliness of my laptop until 1 day, I saw a friend's laptop. I'm not gonna say who :P

It was disgusting. Not because any weird stains but the sheer amount of dust and dirt that was between the keys. Once I got back to my place, I started noticing my own laptop(which was still much better than that person).

So I've been telling Marcky that I would clean my laptop soon in our casual MSN-EBUDDY-We-Are-Bored-So-We-Troll moments. But I cleaned it only after 3 weeks from that conversation; w00t!

2 simple tools

A toothbrush and 1 air compressor. Just use any old toothbrush which you are no longer using to brush your teeth. Now, if you don't have an air compressor, don't worry. What you need to do is take a deep breath and blow as hard as you can at a time to increase efficiency and consistent air pressure. Repeat whenever necessary.

After a few minutes, you get a "cleaner" laptop to work with.

I think this part of the laptop was trolling me because I was sure that it was clean when I was viewing with my own eyes. I blame it on my iPhone 4 camera; so much noise in the photo.

Not too shabby eh? I will probably give it another round of cleaning when I get back home in PJ. I'm currently blogging this from my parents place at Setiawan. Let me collect more dust before I get to have some fun with the air compressor again. With that said, I'm actually munching on some durian heong peng.

And yes, it's my company laptop so, please, show some TLC to your company/personal laptop too.

p/s: Please la, just clean that shit up. Do you know how dirty the keyboard area is?

Okay, so I'm about 22 days late to post this but hey, better late than never. This is one of those post where I'm going to say that I'm sorry for not updating my blog bla bla bla. You get the drill.

Honestly, as a blogger(an active one, well I used to be: going for events, food review, gatherings, so on and so forth), you know you're gonna be accepting paid advertisement or product reviews. If you check back afew pages of mine, you will see that it's all paid reviews/ad campaigns.

And you get that very same email/message from different PR peeps(no offense intended): "What's your unique visitor now?"; well, the question might not sound exactly like that but it's along those line.

Here I am in the office and I decided to check out kennysia.com and all I see are his usual ADV posts(I have nothing against him for posting ads post anyway). It's just that I realize:

What happened to my personal sharing? I used to be posting about 2 to 3 times a week!

It's like a wake up call for me. I've been slacking in the 'update your blog' department. Although I've been lazy in the blogging scene, I was busy with my own agenda. Nonetheless, here are some awesome updates!

First of all, I finally got the keys to my new place. After more than close to 1 year and a half of searching, my wife and I finally found a house which is quite awesome in terms of location ^^.

I haven't forgotten about my house in Puchong as well. We'd still go back once in awhile to check on the place; actually, it's to clean up the place. And thanks to that, I've started playing my guitar again. Jamming away with my band; a.k.a 'That MP3 playing in the background'.

Chinese New Year is also about 2 weeks away and here comes 'you must buy new clothes' festive season. Nothing wrong with that actually. The process is kinda fun; choosing overpriced CNY clothes, queuing up at the changing room and queuing up at the cashier while watching children chasing each other because one of them is holding on to the iPad while their baby brother or sister is crying in the baby stroller used to queue up at the cashier by their mother who was still choosing a pair of baby socks while the father is looking at his iPhone somewhere. Whoa, that's a mouthful.

Yes people, I have all 5 classes in Diablo 3. No life? Nope, I didnt spend a long time leveling up 3 other characters. It's all about efficiency. The other 3 characters was interesting but definitely didn't spend a long time compared to my first two character; Wizard and Demon Hunter. All thanks to the new Monster Power in Diablo 3. Basically, you have the option of increasing the Monster Power from 1 to 10. Each increment will increase some of the monster's health and damage BUT you also gain bonus experience. See the logic? I also gotta thank a couple of friends for helping me level up the last few levels before reaching 60.

Last but not least, if you you guys didn't know, Lance Armstrong(yeah, the cyclist) admitted that he was doping in races. He had a 1 hour 40 minutes interview with Oprah recently and I've just finished watching the video last night. Yes, I'm partly disgusted, partly dissappointed but I still view him as a hero. He took banned substances and won 7 races and it is wrong without a doubt. But those people firing at him now are hypocrites. When he was still up there, sponsors and the cycling industry was with him. He started the LIVESTRONG foundation. Now it's all gone.

Yes, he did a grave mistake by cheating but from the way I see it, he's still a champion. Nuff' said.

Looks like I'm on a roll for updating my blog. This time, I have another awesome news for you guys. Samsung Malaysia launched the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note II at Zebra Square last night.

It's been awhile since I saw one of these.

Despite the gloomy weather, many were present for the launch; bloggers, publications, media - Everyone.

And yes, most of us were hungry. We arrived around 7pm and finger food was served to all of the guests. Mostly vegetables from what I see. Anyway, I had some...and so did Mike.

I present to you, the Samsung Galaxy Note II

With the product launch completed, dinner was up next as well as the product observation area for us to try out the new Samsung Galaxy Note II. We also got to make my our own cupcakes in the process as well. Don't ask me why the cupcakes. It was just there.

I was able to check out the phone a little while. First thing I noticed was the beautiful HD Super AMOLED Plus screen. At 5.5", the phone-tablet wasn't too comfortable for me. As you can see in the picture below, it's quite wide but I love the vibrant and sharp images.

I didnt get a chance to test the camera, multi task function and other cool apps. The scrolling on screen is very smooth compared to my old Samsung Galaxy S(Yeah, THAT old phone of mine).

The new Samsung Galaxy Note II will be in stores by 19th of October 2012 with a retail price of RM2,299 and will be available in two colors: Marble white and Titanium Gray.

Pork-toberfest with Morganfield's at Pavilion

First of all, let me say WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZUUUPP!

Man, it's been so long since I last sat down to blog something. I've been busy with personal stuff, gaming and work. I'm also fairly active with my freelance photography work. Life is good I would say. Despite my blog being alittle stagnant for the past few weeks(or a month may be?), I am here to share with you another awesome place for dining.

The place is Morganfield's at Pavilion KL. As this is the month of Oktoberfest, Morganfield's is also not missing out on the action; they're having a PORK-TOBERFEST. Cheesy? Nah, I think its cool

Delicious pork dishes with a pint or two of chilled beer; what's not to like?

Pork Sausage Platter, RM32.00++

To kick things off, it's none other than a plate of happiness; The Pork Sausage Platter. What we have here are 4 different sausages; Bratwurst, smoked sausage, spicy Hungarian and Emmantaller Cheese sausage, grilled to perfection. The platter is served with a few condiments such as coleslaw, Dijon mustard for that tangy flavor and garlic aioli which gives a sweet and fragrant aroma(my personal favorite).

Siew Yoke!

Of course, it ain't siew yoke on the menu. This my friend, is the Morganfield's Oriental Pork Belly. Everyone has their personal favorite pork belly preference; some like to have lots of fats while some like them to be leaner with minimal fats. For me, I like the ones which strikes a balance between fat and meat ratio. The right amount of fats for the porky flavor that melts in your mouth and the right amount of meat for that chewy texture. For only RM20.90++, you get to sample that perfectly balanced pork belly with two unique sauce; the Dijon mustard and garlic aioli.

This might come down to personal preference but the pork belly with Dijon mustard didn't really go well for me. The aftertaste was quite sharp and it overshadowed the porky flavors. The garlic aioli however was heavenly. Just the right mixture of sweet and fragrant aroma which compliments the pork belly really well.

However, I would advice you to give both sauces a try. Who knows, you might find the Dijon mustard to be your preferred choice?

Roasted German Pork Knuckle

Rule of thumb for any good German pork knuckle; Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. For RM95.90++ you're getting a perfectly slow roasted pork knuckle with condiments of red skin mashed potato, garden vegetables, coleslaw and a special homemade pork gravy.

Pour some of the special homemade pork gravy and you're all set. The pork knuckle's meat was perfect. Moist, all porky flavors intact. The pork knuckle skin however was a little over the tough side; still chewable though you'll be going through a jaw workout. Then again, could be the roasting process. For me, the meat was perfecto! It's a huge portion for one so its best if this is shared among 3 to 4 person so you get to sample other stuff at Morganfield's.

Jack Daniel's Baby Back Ribs

For a limited time only, you get to sample this awesome Jack Daniels glazed baby back ribs, seasoned with Cajun spices. This fire grilled goodness only costs RM63.90 for a full slab. There is no fanciness of burning of alcohol and what not. What you get is a perfectly grilled ribs, served with some coleslaw and fries.

What's is the name of the dessert? That's for you to find out at Morganfield's :)

Hint: Chocolate Lava Cake.

As mentioned eariler, its the month for Oktoberfest and Morganfield's is having the Awesome Threesome beer promotion. You get three pints of:

A day of celebration it is

Finally, I will be going on a holiday with wifey and my extended family members. But before that, I shall update my blog with a quick SUPER GT entry. This entry is for the SUPER GT biggest super car gathering. Yes, this is for real. The heat, the roaring of engines(ALOT OF ENGINES) and more heat. Despite all that, I braved all of it to take some pictures to share with you the experience(minus the heat and everything else).

SUPER GT Round 3 2012 - Day 2 - Pit Walk

Dear readers, I'm sorry....

...for not updating my blog. I've been really lazy in updating my blog but I hope I will update it more often. I did some shooting last weekend(photography, mind you). I wasn't the official photographer but I was the official BACKUP photographer for a friend. No matter the term/position, I had fun; I get to utilize my new 70-200mm f2.8 VRII for the longest time ever since I bought it.

With that aside, I shall share with you guys photos taken during the pit walk at SUPER GT Round 3 2012. It's the almost the same stuff as day 1 but I hope you guys enjoy the pix.

These were touched up in Lightroom 3.4. Could have been better as I'm currently using Lightroom 4. Anyway, enjoy the pix.
