AMD Unveils TressFX

2013-03-01T21:11:00.004-08:00

Earlier this week, AMD unveiled TressFX, the world's first Real-Time hair rendering technology debuting in the new Tomb Raider set for release March 5th. So far it looks very promising for the next generation of graphics in games creating the visibility of separate hairs and reflections instead of textured polygons. Can't wait to see where this technology will lead.

Oculus Rift VR

The Oculus Rift. A virtual reality headset aimed at pulling you out of your chair and into the gaming world. Although no release date has been announced for the consumer version, they will be shipping out dev kits next month for those who have pre-ordered. Specs as of right now are a 720p screen (hopes to raise to 1080p for consumer version) and 1000Hz refresh rate all while being in full Stereoscopic 3D. All I know is that I will be getting one.

2011-12-28T11:25:00.000-08:00

What is everyone planning to do for New Years this year? Anything different, or following tradition? I plan on having a considerably large LAN party to kick off the New Year. We're gonna be playing some MW3, BF3, and maybe even some GoW3, and I may be ordering some pizzas.

Free Money Opportunity?

2011-12-26T04:00:00.000-08:00

I was randomly browsing the internet and found a website called Wazzub. It is a search engine in the making, where they will give you 50% of their earnings if you sign up before Apr 1st. It is referral based as of right now, but I believe there might be something to it. Your money comes from how many people you refer. So if you have a back-up email that you aren't afraid to try something new with, I suggest giving it a try. If you refer 5 people, and they refer 5 generations deep, you can be looking at $4,000/month just from those. So why not give it a look. Here is my referral link: http://signup.wazzub.info/?lrRef=CXJF0

School

2011-12-25T04:10:00.001-08:00

I have always been interested in animation ever since i started playing video games when I was little, and my interest in them has done nothing but grow. I am soon going to start taking classes at my local community college, and have just recently caught an interest in film and special effects. What are the best film schools that I could transfer to when I finish with community college. I am not very good with making decisions for myself, so I will be asking a lot of questions here on my blog. lol If you are already in the field, do you have any tips for me? or questions? Concerns?
