Example of an Oscar

If you want to make a great movie and win an Oscar, try doing something never done before.
The Ten Commandments was a movie that won an Oscar in 1957 for special effects. It was amazing to see the parting of the Red Sea. It was a Bible story brought to life in film and was exciting to see. The burning bush and seeing the pillar of fire was exciting to see too. I haven't seen another movie done like that one. The movie is a 1956 epic religious drama film produced, directed, and narrated by Cecil B. DeMille, shot in Vista Vision (Color by Technicolor) and released by Paramount Pictures.

Today movies seem to be quickly made with computer adding special effects, but when I look at the special effects in the movie of The Ten Commandments, it looks so real.

The Wizard of Oz was another great example of an Oscar type of movie and also Gone With the Wind.

So if you want to make a great movie and win an Oscar, think of the movies that won oscars. Think of something great to make a movie about. Try to make a movie that you know people would want to see. Some movies are made fast and confusing. Some movies are just not good at all. When I think about how the old movies were made, I can tell that they were made well and made from the heart. We need movies to be made like that today......

Hawkmen

Today's topic is Hawkmen!
In the movie "Flash Gordon", we see the Hawkmen appear. But where do they com from? Prince Vultan is the Prince of the bird like Hawkmen in the Flash Gordon comic strip and it's adaptations. Vultan and his people dwell in Sky City, a metropolis that floats in the sky. Vultan and the other Hawkmen provoked some controversy at the time of publication. Some Christian leaders regarded the characters as blasphemous because they resembled angels.

A movie could be made about the hawkmen alone. In the movie, it can be said that the Hawkmen were created by scientists and thy flew to an undiscovered planet. And they could say that the people on earth felt threatened by the Hawkmen. On the undiscovered planet, the bird like men could become a kingdom and become a divided kingdom. It could be said that's how Vultan and part of the Hawkmen started dwelling in Sky City.

I picture Vultan as a tall, muscular, and mighty Hawkman with the characteristics of a king, pirate, viking, hawk, and man. He could look dreadful to ordinary men because of his great wings and tall stature.

Until next time, goodbye friends! You're listening to Movies Unmade.

The Political Ali

There has already been a movie made about Muhammad Ali. Will Smith played as him, but there was so much more to Muhammad Ali than boxing. I think a movie should be made about the political Ali and his religion. Mr. Ali was influenced by the man he called the honorable Elijah Muhammad. Muhammad Ali spoke great things, and things that made a lot of sense regardless of his joking around in boxing. I think a movie should be made focusing on his great speeches and other things that he may have done that some of us may not know about. A movie should be made about Muhammad Ali Islam days with Malcom X and Elijah Muhammad. I'm Gail Nobles and you're listening to Movies Unmade.

Movies Unmade are movies that could be biopic about a person’s life, and movies that could be remakes from a television series. 8/18/18

Superman Remake the Last Knight

The Adventures of Superman was a television series starring George Reeves in 1952. I don't remember seeing Superman fighting against a lot of foes as strong as he was. I saw some of the episodes from the series in the 1970's. The television series was still great to watch though Superman didn't have foes with his strength.

There is one episode from the season 6 DVD that I thought would be a great remake for the big screen. The episode is titled, "The Last Knight". It is the TV episode from 1958 and in color. In this episode, Superman was flying wearing armor. He was dressed as a knight. Clark Kent did not appear to be worried about the secret society knights. They were the bad guys who were four rich men dressed as knights. I'm sure Clark Kent as Superman would have been worried to know that Lois Lane was captured by them in a remake. He would rescue her in a hurry. The story would probably be altogether different and maybe more fascinating. The story would be more exciting.

In the TV series, Lois Lane, Jimmy, and some of the knights were locked up in a dungeon with Superman dressed in his armor disguise. They were locked up by one knight that was a killer. And of course you know Superman won the battle.

Superman looked great in the 1950's as a flying knight. If Superman looked great in the 1950's as a flying knight, I'm sure the new Superman would too. Hear podcast

Keshia Chante _ The Golden Princess Podcasts

2017-02-12T17:14:00.003-05:00

I’m thinking about a Canadian R&B singer and songwriter named Keshia Chante. I would like to see her star in an action crime movie with someone like Jet Li. Keshia has had great songs such as “Table Dance”, “Come Fly With Me”, and “The Valley” just to name a few. But to see her in an action film would be awesome. I think Keshia has what it takes. She has great looks and great talent. Keshia has done a wonderful job hosting BET’s 106 & Park.

Keshia Chante_The Golden Princess Storyline

Storyline: The Golden Princess was the hero of her city. She knew the going in and going out of every mobster in that city. There wasn’t a secret the Princess didn’t know because every secret involved the men in her family. She was the last survivor kept hidden and was not known. But now, other innocent lives are in danger around her. The Golden Princess became friends with a private detective. They fought together to save the city and to stay alive. Who could play in this story? I can imagine Keshia Chante as the Golden Princess and Jet Li as the private detective in the Golden City. Storyline written by Gail Nobles.

When I was growing up, I loved Otis Redding because of his most popular song, “Sitting On the Dock of the Bay”. So I decided to sit down and write my memories and some things that I learned about him. Although Otis is gone, I grew up feeling like he is a part of me. So I had to share my story in a podcast.

Clint Eastwood and Scott Eastwood The Crossroads

2015-11-03T20:30:00.002-05:00

Wikipedia

Wikipedia

Clint Eastwood made great westerns like Hang em High, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and A Fist Full of Dollars. In this day and time, we no longer see great westerns such as those. They were written well and the characters were acted out well by great actors. We need great westerns to see again. If I had to write a western movie, I would name it The Crossroads for Scott Eastwood.

It would be a western about his father’s past and enemies from movies such as, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Scott Eastwood’s present would somehow intersect his father’s past in the movie because he is the son of Clint Eastwood. Scott would be the cowboy following in his father’s footsteps.

Someone on Twitter thought that Charlie Sifford deserves a biopic. Charlie Sifford was a professional golfer. He was born in Charlotte NC. Charlie was the first African American to play on the PGA Tour. He began golfing in 1948. Someone thought that actor Nate Parker should play his biopic. See more

Jack Pumpkin Head of OZ

The 1939 film, “The Wizard of Oz”, was a great film. It is still better than all of the other Wizard of Oz films that has been made in my opinion. There is just one thing. When I saw the lion, the tin man, and the scarecrow, I often would wonder where the pumpkin head was. Read More..

Broken the Web Series

2013-01-05T12:20:00.000-05:00

Web Series are like mini movies. They are a series of videos on the Internet with several episodes. It's like web television. They seem to be getting very popular. There is a web series called Broken. It is a good example of a webisode. I learned about this episode from a friend of mine named Tameka Moore from Twitter.

I work on as a production assistant. Enjoy! --->Broken (the Web Series) Pilot - Episode 1: youtu.be/FxIKts846A4 via @youtube
— Tameka Moore (@_justsayMO) January 4, 2013

When I saw the episode, I was blown away right away. It looked so real. To me, Web Series look better than reality shows. Reality shows are missing something. They look like boring soaps. Web series are more like movies that are full of drama and action. Broken looks like a perfect series good enough for television. Check it out.

The Next Batman Movie

Dark Knight Rises was a terrific movie. It was better than The Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I really love them all but the movies are getting better and better. When I saw the latest movie, I knew that John Blake would be Robin for the next movie the first time I laid eyes on him. People are already talking about Justice League and Knight Wing. I'm not ready to jump that far, but I think that it should lead up to that point. I want to see Batman and Robin together first, but somebody else has to play Batman. It is Christian Bale's last time playing Batman. I'm going to miss him.

I think the next Batman movie should be The Dark Knight Returns. According to Wikipedia,The Dark Knight Returns is a four-issue comic book limited series comprising The Dark Knight Returns, The Dark Knight Triumphant, Hunt The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Falls. The Dark Knight Returns tells the story of a 55 year old Bruce Wayne who comes out of retirement to fight crime.

The movie makers do not always have to go exactly by the comic books. The story could be done better or a little different, and at the same time, they could still base it on the comic books. Watching the Dark Knight Rises, I think Batman and Robin would be enough to start another movie and then add more good guys. Because of the Batman and Robin old television series, there has got to be a Batman and Robin movie only. Now, that is just my opinion, but I think it is the right thing to do.

Mahalia Jackson

2012-05-29T21:49:00.000-04:00

From YouTube

I think Mahalia Jackson has a interesting life story for a movie. She was the best gospel singer of all times, and I think she is still the best. Mahalia was involved in the civil rights. She could really throw down in her singing. Mahalia was friends with Martin Luther King. I had no idea that she was. It is said that she mentored Aretha Franklin and discovered Della Reese (Touched By an Angel).

Wish to See Lynn Whitfield for Waiting to Exhale 2

2012-04-08T13:50:00.000-04:00

It's sad to say that Whitney Houston is gone. I do not know why I feel that she's not on the inside. Whatever I feel, it will die down after a while. If there is going to be a Waiting to Exhale 2, we can only hope to enjoy the movie without Whit.

Lynn Whitfield could take Whitney's place. She has done such a great job in Martin Lawrence, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. To tell you the truth, I wanted to see a part 2 of that movie. I love seeing Lynn. She's fun to watch and exciting too.

Too Soon for a Whitney Houston Movie

2012-02-29T18:51:00.002-05:00

Google Image

Whitney Houston has not been resting from us long and already there are rumors about a Whitney Houston movie. To tell you the truth, I'm still hurting that she has left us, and I do not want to see a Whitney Houston movie right now. When they make movies from a real life story, they always add something untrue just to make a movie sell. We are fed enough fantasy, and I'm tired of lies. People that really loved Whitney Houston has seen enough and heard enough and are waiting for the truth about how she died. It's just too soon for a Whitney Houston movie.

When she died, she took a big piece of me with her. It made me see that it's not about my big dreams and plans. It's about what God has planned for my life. What God has planned for us is more than what man has to offer. It's bigger than fame and bigger than fortune. It stays with you. Nobody can take it from you and nobody can take your life. Fame, fortune, and your life man will surely try to take from you. He will drain you dry just like the Devil himself. If it were up to me, I would wait a few years before making a Whitney Houston movie. Sometimes it seems that there is no respect for the dead. The woman just died and there should be no movie making and pocketing money right now.
Besides, she left us with one more movie called Sparkle. We should be looking for that one because that is something she did while she was alive.

Elijah and Elisha

2011-11-01T19:22:00.001-04:00

Google Image

A movie about Elijah and Elisha would be great. It would be interesting to see a movie about the miracles of Elijah and Elisha. Elijah is the prophet that went to heaven on a chariot. In the book of 1 Kings 17, you can read about how Elijah said that it would not be dew nor rain for 3 years. You can also read how the ravens fed him. Elijah also raised a widow's son.

In the 2nd book of Kings is where you'll find that Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire and horses of fire. I believe that would be the most exciting part that everyone would want to see in a movie. You will learn about how the spirit of Elijah rested on Elisha.

Eddie Murphy and Martin Could Play Army

2011-07-31T10:36:00.005-04:00

We have seen Eddie Murphy and Martin in the movie, Life. They have played prison together and have done a fantastic job. I haven't seen a great army movie in a while. Eddie and Martin could play army. The movie could be funny but it can also be serious at the same time. There are a lot of guys in the army that find they do not like the army once they get in. There are guys that have been killed or almost killed in the army. Some guys do not know how lucky they might be that they are not accepted in the army. There are guys that sadly have to leave their families and have to fight war. I can picture Eddie Murphy and Martin doing crazy things to get out of the army. I can also picture them staying in the army and scared and crazy on the battlefield. I wish they would make an army movie.

Sheila E. In Drum Line 2

Google Image

When was the last time you saw Sheila E. in a movie since Krush Groove? If there will ever be a Drum Line 2, Sheila should be in the movie. There would be greater competition. Sheila could be a lady that runs a music store. She could meet Devon Miles (Nick Cannon) when he comes to her music store and shows off his drum talent. Then Sheila could show off her drum talent. Then Devon could invite her to his class. Sheila could help Devon and his classmates become an All-American Marching Band. They could become big and famous.

Seeing Saints and Angels

2011-07-09T09:47:00.001-04:00

There are many people in this world that think that they have seen saints and angels. A religious movie should be made about that. There are some people that have had some experience that they do not talk about. Some people are afraid that they will be called crazy, but they are not. Because of Jesus, I think people are able to see what is invisible to the natural eye or else we would not see anything at all. Christ is above all, and he can see the invisible of both what is good and bad. People need to understand their experience. They need to know Jesus in order to know themselves and their abilities. They need to know their purpose and that we are living in the last days. We need to give God glory and not ourselves. People need to know their calling and that there is more to life than just living. Movies are made about evil, but we need more educational movies about what is good. We know all there is to know about evil, and we give too much credit to what is evil.
