Socialites or Social Climbers?

Socialites or social climbers (whoever camp you’re with) Hannah Cruz, Xtina Superstar and Paulo Castrowere refused entry in the trendy TIME Manila club by its employee, Dee Viray. Ms. Viray refused them entry because the said party people were allegedly drunk and the two gay guys, Xtina Superstar and Paulo Castro were cross dressers. The three then reportedly said: ”Uhm, do you know who we are?!”. When Ms. Viray said no! and still refused them entry, they then tweeted their experience and this got the ire of their anothersocialite friend Divine Lee.

Divine Lee then believed the three that they were discriminated upon based on what they were wearing and that they are gay. In the process, Divine Lee spilled the beans, she said that one of the co-owners of TIME Manila club is her ex-boyfriend who she had a protection order granted by a court, and she threatened to reveal what he cried upon in open court. The three socialites refused entry then mentioned it was Jay Server, who is Divine Lee’s ex-BF. They also said he is crazy.

Jay Server allegedly apologized for what happened with the refusal of entry. The TIME Manila employee Ms. Viray then tweeted that she is sorry but she was just doing her job. This further irked the group and they now wanted Jay to fire her.

Republiq Club’s (Resorts World Manila) Aslie Aslanian defended the employee saying she was there in Time Manila during the incident and she said it was Hannah Cruz who should apologize instead for what happened. As of press time, the parties have reportedly cleared the issue but the netizens are up in arms with the wanton behavior of these party animals slash socialites. Chito Miranda, Angel Locsin video scandal

Another video scandal is allegedly opt to go online, involving Chito Miranda once again, and Kapamilya Superstar Angel Locsin.

According to a not so reliable source, the video scandal is yet to be released and just awaiting go signal to spread online. It seems like the perpetrator is blackmailing the Parokya Ni Edgarvocalist, and most probably he/she is the same person who leaked the intimate private video between Chito and her current girlfriend Neri Naig.

The source also indicated that Angel was terrified that the private video between her and Chito may leak. Here is the not so reliable source statement: "Takot si Angel na baka may magleak na video nina Chito at siya." It also added that Angel's former boyfriend, football player Phil Younghusband, maybe astound if ever he would see the alleged video scandal.

Phil reportedly had a
descent view on things, and this kind of stuff is something he couldn't tolerate. Apparently, even though the latter could efficiently appalled the football heartthrob.

For you to know, Phil and Angel had already broke up this month, but they were still friends. It was a mutual decision for them to end their relationship.

Prior to Phil and Neri, Angel has been linked to Chito -for the two were close friends and spotted together in some events. By that time, Chito and Angel neither confirm nor deny their rumored romance.

Just recently Sarah Geronimo alleged photo scandal goes viral. The alleged photo spreads on social networking like crazy and had thousands of views in just a few hours on facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

On the photo, Sarah is like sitting on the top of a guy and having fun .

I think its Fake and was just made from the photoshop. Although there are some people that firmly believe that the photo is not fake and was not edited. And that include my mom and dad who are too old to believe that it can be easily done using computer. hahaha.

I just coundn’t believe it. LOL

As you can see on the photo, the editor was just like took a screenshot from a XXX video and put Sarah Geronimo’s head on the photo.

Megan Young was crowned Miss World 2013

Actress Megan Young was crowned Miss World 2013 on Saturday, besting 126 candidates from all over the globe and earning the Philippines its first ever victory in the beauty contest.

Young accepted the Miss World crown from 2012 winner Wenxia Yu at the awarding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia.

Miss France Marine Lorphelin took second place while Miss Ghana Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter came in third.

"Amazing scenes here in Bali, Megan is overcome with emotions as a tear rolls down her cheek, promising to 'Be the best Miss World Ever'!" the Miss World official Twitter account said.

"She also waved to
the crowd at the start of "Miss World Philippines' Year," it added.

In the Q & A portion, Young was asked to answer the question, "Why should you be crowned Miss World?" She answered: "I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do."

"I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other... as one, we can help society," she added.

Before Young's victory, the highest honors for the Philippines in the Miss World competition was 1st runner-up in 1973, which went to Evangeline Pascual.

In 2011, the country's bet Gwendoline Gaelle Ramos Ruais was named 1st runner-up Asia & Oceania Continental Queen.

Last year, Miss World 2012 Philippines Queenierich Rehman was among the Top 15 candidates in the beauty contest.

Excited Earlier in this year's competition, Young led the list of 10 semifinalists that included contestants from Brazil, Australia, France, Nepal, England, Indonesia, Spain, Jamaica, and Ghana.

Young, Lorphelin, and Shooter were joined in the final round by Brazil's Sancler Frantz Konzen, Spain's Elena Ibarbia Jimenez, and Gibraltar's Maroua Kharbouch.

Miss Gibraltar joined the five finalists after she was declared the People's Choice in the contest.

Hours before the finals night, Young had indicated she was excited about the competition.

Despite the huge demand for bigger doses of this cultured milk drink, however, Yakult still comes in a very small serving -- not even half the size of a cola can -- and it has been like this for over 70 years.

So why is the Yakult bottle so small?

Is too much of it bad for you? Is it because of the price? Or is it just that company officials never really thought about it?

According to data from Yakult's companies in Malaysia and Australia, the cultured milk drink only comes in small bottles to avoid contamination. In other countries, Yakult is sold in 65-ml and 100-ml bottles.

Yakult has only one flavor in all countries across the globe, except in Singapore where it's sold in 3 more variants -- orange, grape and apple.

"A smaller bottle is more hygienic. A larger bottle that is not finished might be kept open, thus a bigger risk of infection with other bacteria," Yakult Malaysia said.

"Opening and closing a larger bottle on numerous occasions can result in a decrease in the number of live probiotic bacteria due to the introduction of various air-borne bacteria. This is undesirable because bacteria have the potential to compromise the quality of Yakult," Yakult Australia said.
Just Curious: Why is the Yakult Bottle So Small?

Yakult has long claimed that each serving of their probiotic drinks contains billions of Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain, which is said to be one of the strongest strains of beneficial bacteria.

One small bottle is enough to keep people healthy each day so there's no need to sell Yakult in bigger servings, the two companies said.

"If Yakult were provided in a larger bottle, people may drink more than needed, and while this is not harmful at all, it can be more expensive," Yakult Australia said.

Manny Pacquiao officially announces retirement

"I have Jinkee and the Filipino people to think about now," said Manny Pacquiao in an official statement released on Monday morning from General Santos City in the Philippines. And just like that, after titles in eight divisions, spectacular wins and accomplishments, and status as perhaps the best fighter of his generation, Manny Pacquiao has retired.

Pacquiao's retirement seems sudden because over the past few months, it had appeared that he decided to continue campaigning. Originally he was planning to fight in April, but that was going to be pushed back until September, to allow himself more time to recover following his knockout defeat against rival Juan Manuel Marquez this past December.

However, apparently the pressure to step away from the squared circle before it was too late became even stronger than we had previously heard.

We already knew his mother and his wife, Jinkee, were clamoring for him to retire. We heard the backroom doctor speculations and concerns about Parkinson's being a risk factor. We knew long-time trainer, friend and mentor Freddie Roach was going to give it to Pacquiao straight, and
not support another comeback if he didn't feel it was his best interest.

And apparently, all of that led to Pacquiao hanging up the gloves now instead of seeking to avenge his last setback. From his perspective, what else would there be for him to accomplish? He's done it all, his legacy is set and he's certainly financially secure.

Retiring perhaps a touch too early is always a difficult decision to make, but it's one that we all usually wish had happened in hindsight. So it's really a positive thing to see a top fighter such as this decide to step away from the sport before the sport takes an even greater toll than it has.

Nobody wants to see Pacquiao on the Roy Jones senior circuit, getting knocked out repeatedly against guys who weren't anywhere near his level while he was at his best.

So with that, we say congratulations to Manny Pacquiao on his retirement.

You've earned it, and you've become one of the most-beloved and accomplished boxers in modern history. Take some time off, and then reach the political heights you've been clamoring for. We expect to see you as President of the Philippines within the decade.

YouTube will Shutdown

YouTube has announced it will no longer accept new videos from tonight as it goes into a decade-long hiatus to review all the uploads of the past eight years.

In a surprise move made just hours before April 1, which just happens to be April Fools’ Day, YouTube said the site’s sole purpose had been a contest to determine the best video on the internet.

Somewhat serendipitously, that competition has now come to an end, and a panel of judges is now going to spend the next ten years deciding upon an overall winner.

Tim Liston, YouTube director of communications, said: ‘We are so close to the end. Tonight at midnight, YouTube.com will no longer be accepting entries.

‘After eight amazing years, it’s finally time to review everything that has been uploaded to our site and begin the process of selecting a winner.’

Antoine Dodson, he of ‘hide your kids’ fame, is among those on the viral video star-studded judging panel.

‘We are all story-tellers, that’s what pulled me into this contest,’ he said. ‘Like stories of how to Photoshop and stories about the Hobbit trailer HD. I encourage everyone to watch as many videos as possible before YouTube deletes everything tonight.’

YouTube, which said the site would relaunch in April 2023 just featuring the winner of its contest, has previous on April Fools’ Day.

In the past it has announced that every video ever uploaded on to the site would be made available on DVD, while another year every video linked to a Rick Roll.

What is Speed dating ?

Speed dating is an organized form of matchmaking that focuses on meeting a lot of people in a short period of time. Most speed dating events include short (three to nine minute) 'dates' where one speed dating participant will meet with another for a face-to-face conversation about whatever they choose. A signal is given to all speed dating participants, and each person makes a note as to whether or not they'd like to meet their 'date' again before moving on to another person. Usually a day or two after a speed dating event, participants receive word as to who else wanted to also meet them and a method of contacting each other.

Most speed dating events require preregistration with a credit card to ensure an equal number of people, or in the case of heterosexual speed dating events, an equal number of men and women. Different speed dating companies offer a different ratio of eligible singles depending on their focus; some strictly enforce matching numbers while others are more relaxed and prefer a party setting to formalized 'dates' in a certain time frame.

It is unusual to see a speed dating event with an open age range, and most speed dating events will require an applicant to fall within the age range stated in order to attend. However, some niche speed dating events throw age out the window to cater to specific groups, such as lesbians and gays, religious or racial affiliations, or those with similar hobbies.

Rabbi Yaacov Deyo of Aish HaTorah is the first to be credited with the idea for speed dating, a concept he introduced to Jewish singles with the intent of meeting and eventually marrying.

How Speed dating Worked

There were about 15 women and 15 men. The women had
“their” tables, from which they didn’t move; the men circulated every time a glass was tinked — every eight minutes. Each table had a number on it, which, while perhaps a little dehumanizing, proved helpful for us guys to know which direction to go to.

At the end of the first five rounds, there was a trivia question to answer. Fastlife seems to really pump up how much fun you’ll have, that it’s not just speed-dating, there are games involved!!! But really, it was five fairly boring trivia questions (what date is the election, and who is the leader of the Bloc Québequois were two of them). The prize was apparently a bottle of wine, but we never heard who won.

You’re given a card on which you write your date’s name, then tick Yes or No to indicate if you’d like to see them again. If, on their card, they’ve put a checkmark by your name, you’re both told about it by email the next day. I failed to see until it was too late that there’s a part of the card I could keep where I should have been taking notes on the women I wanted to see again. I’m really bad with names, so I fear if I get matched up, my first words will be “Which one were you again?” — which will likely kill any chance of a second date.

A Key Question for Successful Speed dating

Successful daters are those who don't need to date anymore. They found their soul mate, married and are now in a relationship which is growing stronger, more supportive and loving over time. Statistics show that over 25% of married couples in the USA find and build this type of relationship. If you want to be in this category, we recommend that when you are dating, don't ask yourself: can this person give me what I need, ask instead (or in addition): can I see myself wanting to give to this person for the rest of my life? Do I see in this person such a vista of potential that I want to invest in him or her?

Step back, observe and consider: Does this person have the character, values and goals that will foster a desire in me to help him (or her)?

A focus on giving (healthy giving without an agenda, neediness or negativity) fosters feelings of connection and love. This binds people together in such a way that even challenges will bring them closer together.

So can you find this out in the first 7 minutes? Unlikely. But give this question a try - the next time you sit physically or electronically across from a date, ask yourself: is there any possibility I would enjoy giving to this person? And if the answer is yes - go on another date. Who knows, this could be the start of an eternal connection.

Pacquaio Vs Marquez 4 – Manny Pacquiao stepped out of his gray Navigator after a four-hour ride from Los Angeles and was met by his loyal supporters at The Hotel of Mandalay Bay.
Pacquiao looked happy to be back in Las Vegas still as the heavy favorite for the fourth and last chapter of his classic rivalry with Mexico’s Juan Manuel Marquez.
The fight is set Saturday (Sunday in Manila) at the MGM.

Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee were ushered in to their 60th floor suite where they were met by more of their family members, friends and their own friends.
They arrived in glitzy Las Vegas at around 9 p.m., in splinters, on board the Team Pacquiao bus and around 30 other vehicles.

A sumptuous dinner of Filipino food was laid out for everybody. It’s a tradition that Pacquiao’s arrival in Las Vegas is met with a party.
Downstairs at the Sportsbook betting station, the bright yellow lights showed the 33-year-old Filipino boxer as the -370 favorite, meaning you need $370 to win a hundred dollars
Marquez, who doesn’t care about his age (he is 39), was at +280, meaning every $100 wager on the great counterpuncher will enjoy a return of $280.

That the fight will go past 11 rounds is at -255 and that it won’t last longer than 11 rounds is at +185, meaning more people are buying the idea of
a longer night of boxing.
Marquez scoring a knockout is at 5/1 and him winning a decision is at 4/1 (a dollar wins four bucks). Pacquiao winning by KO is at 9/5 and via decision at even.

Still, there are those who will put some money on a draw, which isn’t really a far-fetched idea considering the closeness of the three previous battles.

MANILA, Philippines—Even as it focuses on growing its postpaid user base, Ayala-led Globe Telecom has launched a new promo offer that promises lower call and text rates for prepaid subscribers who make up the bulk of the company’s user base.

Globe on Wednesday announced the launch of its new “GOUNLI30” promo, which the company described as its strongest unlimited offering to date.

The introduction of the new service came as the company reported this week that its prepaid subscriber base rose 9 percent year on year to 16.1 million at the end of the first half.
“Globe Prepaid remains in full swing in 2012 with robust subscriber additions in the first half of the year despite intensifying competition and the behavior of prepaid subscribers who often switch SIMs or networks to maximize their cell phone load,” Globe prepaid group head KC Dizon said.

Half of the Globe group’s subscriber base is made up of prepaid users. Counting users on sister network TM, more than 90 percent of the group’s base are prepaid users.
Globe said second-quarter gross acquisitions remained strong with 3 million new subscribers, 2 percent better than last quarter’s level of 2.9 million.
Cumulative gross acquisitions for the first half of the year were likewise up 6 percent from 5.6 million last year to 5.9 million new SIMs this period.

Keeping growth momentum for the second half of the year, Globe unveiled its newest prepaid offer bundled with unlimited texts, calls and access to

Flip to silence is great as long as it performs reliably. I am pleased by the camera improvements and look forward to testing it out soon. It's always great to see quick updates from vendors and unlike HTC, Nokia looks to be doing it right here with Windows Phone.

Motorola RAZR Maxx Price

If you have read our article on “Top 10 Flagship Smartphones“, you will find the Motorola RAZR Maxx taking a solid spot. It’s an improvement to last year’s RAZR XT910, this time with a beefed up battery and an ICS update. Check out our full review after the break.

Design and Construction

At first glance the Maxx looks like it is made of glass and metal. It has a grey chrome finish for the bezel and a gun metal finish for the majority of the surrounding areas. It will give you an illusion that it is very hefty device but it’s actually made of durable plastic to keep the device light.

On the front is the 4.3-inch display, the earpiece, notification light, front-facing camera and four capacitive touch buttons. You will also notice that there is a small pinhole for the microphone where the capacitive buttons are. I’m not overly fond of it because it looked like someone poked a hole into the glass.

On top is the 3.5 mm headset jack, microUSB and microHDMI ports. On the right side is the power/sleep button and volume rocker while on the lower left side is a panel that covers the microSIM and microSD card slots – a nifty design that is difficult to open if you have short fingernails.

Flip the Maxx on its back and you will find the 8 megapixel camera, LED flash, loud speaker and another pinhole for the microphone at the bottom. The rest of the back is covered with DuPont Kevlar – good for repelling fingerprints and scratches but very unlikely to be bulletproof.

Display

The RAZR Maxx has a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced display with a resolution of 540×960 at 256 ppi topped with Gorilla Glass. Not one of the best displays I’ve seen for a screen of that size. Pixels are evident, the screen is a little too vibrant and the colours are saturated that it sometimes hurts the eyes.

On the good side, the wide display has true blacks and good sunlight legibility. The 256ppi is already decent but we’re expecting somewhere north of 300ppi for it to be at the same retina-like display resolution as the other flagship phones.

UI, Apps and Multimedia

Out of the box the RAZR Maxx was running Android Gingerbread but
we were immediately prompted with the Ice Cream Sandwich OTA update. Motorola left the UI almost untouched but MotoBlur will make itself known when you start using its social networking apps such as Social Location. There’s also the MotoCast service which enables you to sync files, images, videos and music from your computer to your

I’m glad that Motorola didn’t fill the device with bloatware and just included those that are useful. There are pre-installed apps such as those powered by Citrix for those who want to keep in touch with their businesses and Motorola’s own Smart Action app that helps you schedule automate the RAZR Maxx actions.

As for multimedia, it’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich so media playback is not an issue.

Camera

The Razr Maxx carries an 8 megapixel shooter with auto-focus and LED flash. The camera can produce sharp images provided that light is abundant.

However, shots taken indoors or during a cloudy day appear duller and gloomier than normal. For low-light conditions the LED flash does a good job and illuminating the subject three to four feet away.

Call Quality & Battery

Call quality is great. I made a call outdoors during a very windy day and the person on the other line heard my voice very clearly without the background noise.

The 3300 mAh battery is a massive treat. The RAZR Maxx managed to stay alive for three days with constant WiFi connection, music playback, regular texting and a few hours of calls. If we add watching movies and a few hours on 3G to the mix the device lasts for a little over two days which is still good.

However, the battery suffers when you start playing games. I played Bejeweled 2 and Temple Run for two hours and the battery is down to 75%. If you need to save on juice, you might want to reduce your gaming time.

Conclusion

Overall, the RAZR Maxx won’t disappoint. The 4.3-inch display, dual-core processors, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 8 megapixel camera, high-quality build, and massive battery is a great package.

f there’s one thing I want changed or improved on the RAZR Maxx it would be the display. The screen resolution could be better and I find the vibrancy and colours too strong. But if this con is not a big deal, then the RAZR Maxx will definitely work for you.
